Home.

'You and Hetty don't know what you're talking about! I'm perfectly fine, and I'm going into work!' Kensi insisted.

'Kens, you barfed half the night! You think Hetty would like seeing 1 of her agents puking in the bullpen?! Also, you'd definitely ruin the car.' Deeks replied, trying to get her to take it easy.

'I've taken some stomach medicine, and it WILL get better in the next couple of hours! I'm heading out that door, and going to work, and you can't stop me!'

True to her word, she went right to the car, and Deeks ran after her.

'Okay okay, but I'm driving!'

And sure enough, when they were almost to work, Kensi barfed and left a big mess in the car.

Parking garage.

'I, really, hate, this.' Kensi grumbled while Deeks looked over the mess.

'Stomach bugs are annoying, I know from experience. I can clean this up in a jiffy. You sure you don't want to go home right now?' He asked.

'I'm sure.'

Kensi barely made it to the bullpen before she had to sit down on the couch, feeling miserable.

'I believe I told you to stay at home, Miss Blye.' Hetty said when she walked by.

'You know me, Hetty. I hate staying at home when I don't feel like it.' She replied.

'Did you know, that a long time ago, I had a stomach problem right before a big undercover case. I didn't want to stay home when I was barely feeling like puking, so I too some medicine and I toughed it out. It would've been a big success, if I hadn't thrown up all over my partner at the end. Not only did I feel really embarrassed, but I also had to pay the dry cleaning bill for the ruined costume.'

'That stinks. And, I may have puked in the car when we got here and I don't feel like talking about it.'

'I know it's really frustrating to have to take it easy for a bit when you're convinced you're fine. But I think you should ask yourself if it's really worth the risk of either slowing down your partner in the field or possibly being too slow in a gunfight just to tough out a stomach bug.' Hetty suggested.

'Mmm. And as always, you seem to know exactly what to say.' Kensi unhappily replied.

'I'm just looking out for you, as is Mr. Deeks.'

After she went back to her office. Kensi went to Deeks and asked to go home.

'Sorry.' She said on the ride home.

'That's okay. I've tried to tough out my fair share of minor illnesses as well, and not to the best effect. Made sure to bring a paper bag just in case.' Deeks replied.

'Say, when we get home, could you tuck me in and possibly sing to me before you leave? It's be real nice.'

Smiling, 'Aw, of course!'
