'You are all invited to celebrate the engagement of our wonderful bosses, Henrietta Lange and Owen Granger, tonight at the Squid and the Dagger!'. The invitations sent to everyone said.

The turnout was quite large. Everyone who showed up were either happy for them, or were just curious as to why 2 people who always seemed to be at odds with each other were actually getting married.

In the kitchen.

'Gotta say, I didn't think this many people would actually show up! I mean, were they just as surprised as the rest of us that our bosses are actually engaged?!' Deeks asked, carrying a case load of whiskey.

'Maybe they just like a good party. You didn't get the cheap kind, did you? Hetty does not like cheap whiskey!' Kensi replied.

'Wouldn't think about it! Anyways, just imagining those 2 kissing makes me want to wharf! Like, can you just picture them making out, or worse, in the bedroom?! Ugh! Like picturing my mom making out with any random stranger!'

Kensi snickered a bit.

'It's not really that funny.'

'Oh I know. But you have to admit, they do seem happy. When do we ever see them both being happy for long? At the end of the day when the case is done? And I think as long as they are happy, then we should be happy too. Happy bosses, happy work space?'

'Wow. How long did it take you come up with that?' Deeks asked.

'Longer then you think. Come on, we got drinks to serve.' Kensi finished.

Everyone was enjoying the party, and even trying to spread gossip about how the proposal actually went down. 1 amusing rumor even involved diving out of an airplane. As it turned out, it was actually just a simple and intimate proposal.

'He got down on 1 knee, his good knee mind you, and he asked me, and I said yes.' Hetty said.

'That's slightly disappointing. I would've thought fireworks or even a gunfight in the background would've been involved.' Callen replied.

'You would, you really would think that.' Sam amusingly replied.

The funniest part of the evening came when it was time for the toasts, and when Deeks went looking for the happy couple, he caught them making out in the bedroom upstairs!

'I, am never going to get used to this!' He muttered, trying to forget about what he just saw.

'Think we'll traumatize them a bit too much if we plant all this mind images in their heads of us possibly doing more then just kissing?' Granger asked when he left.

'If we do, then it's their own fault for thinking old people kissing are gross.' Hetty replied.

'You calling me old?'

'Oh don't take it THAT seriously, dear!'
