By the time the two heroes had left the Charme teacher's home, it had turned to late evening, with the sun slowly beginning to dip down beyond the horizon.

"Right, we have the Charmes we need to escape, so we should be able to do this easily," Eorna spoke. "It should be fine, right?"

"It will be fine. At least, I hope it will be." Kurose spoke, nodding his head.

Luckily enough for the duo, there seemed to be no one around the teacher's home due to the experiments with Charmes that he had done driving everyone else away. They slowly began walking, even as Eorna spoke.

"I think we should keep a hold on each other, just to make sure we don't lose each other when we do activate the Charmes."

"Yeah, that makes sense. It would be better if we didn't lose each other with all those potential guards running around. Hopefully, we can actually get through this. Do you think you could fight the guards if it came down to it?"

"It depends. If they are newer guards? Probably, but even then it would still be a struggle. I'm really not sure how to use the dagger properly, considering I never actually learned how to fight before all this. I've had to learn all the basics on my own. Plus, there's the chance they might be at a higher level than me." Eorna admitted.

"That's fine. You should have an advantage because you have skills and all that." Kurose thought for a moment before speaking again. "Could you use that skill whilst we are invisible? The one that made you dash forward?"

"That skill that made me dash forward… Oh! You mean Erst step! I mean, I probably could, but saying it would alert the guards to where we are probably. If not that, then it would say that we are there at the very least."

Eorna seemed to think about it for a minute, stopping in place as she seemed to look at something." I do have a way of improving the speed gained from that skill. It's a good idea."

"A way of improving the skill?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. He didn't know of any way to improve his skills, but it certainly seemed helpful

"Yup! It's my strengthening method!" She spoke with a grin. "Pretty good if I do say so." Eorna continued to smile, as if proud of her own strengthening method.

"How does it get stronger? Just more damage, or something else?" Kurose asked curiously.

"It really depends. For some skills, it just makes them deal more damage. But on something like Erst step? It increases the speed boost it gives me."

"Increase the speed it gives you? But I thought it just launched you toward the enemy?"

"Nah. I could technically use it by just taking one step forward, but it would be much weaker. It does more damage the faster I'm going, which is why the boost to speed is super helpful!"

"That does sound useful," Kurose spoke, nodding his head." And you can use it on any skill you decide?"

"Yup! And I can reassign the points after 24 hours, so I can change them when I need to!"

"Man, it would be nice if I could use it, but it's your strengthening method."

"I mean, sure it's strong, but you have four of them! Surely there's gotta be at least one that matches up to it!"

"Well, I guess there is Collector. The more weapon forms I have, the stronger all my weapon forms get." Kurose spoke, rubbing the back of his head.

"See! That's strong! Especially if we are going to be fighting the waves! You'll probably get at the minimum like 5 weapon forms a wave, plus any other stuff we absorb between waves! Your basic Amulet would probably be stronger than my dagger by that point!"

"I guess, but it would be just so much easier if we could actually use each other's methods," Kurose spoke with a frown.

"I mean, yeah, it would obviously make it all easier, but there's got to be a reason we can't use them." Eorna spoke with a shrug.

"Yeah, I guess so…" Kurose spoke defeatedly, before changing the topic. "How much longer until we actually get to the gate?" Kurose asked.

"I'd say about five more minutes. We should be fine to activate our Charmes soon."

"Alright. Hopefully, we get through this perfectly fine…" Kurose spoke quietly.

Eorna simply nodded beside him.

When the duo felt they had come close enough to the gate, they paused for a moment, stepping behind a house. Kurose peeked around the corner, noticing a lack of regular people. The only thing he could see was empty streets, with several guards all dressed in what looked to be some sort of leather armor.

Kurose turned to face Eorna, who seemed to be looking at him.

"Well, we kind of expected this at least," Kurose spoke simply. "There are quite a few guards, so I guess they either had some way to communicate with them, or we just took long enough that they managed to prepare all of this."

Eorna peeked around the corner for a moment before speaking. "I didn't expect there to be this many guards! Jeez, it's like a small squadron of guards!"

"Yeah, you're right. This seems excessive, just for the pair of us. We aren't even that high of a level. The Prince really wants to get your weapon, doesn't he?"

"Hmph! As if I'd give it up to him anyways. I'm not giving up my chance to travel the world for free!" She spoke.

Kurose let out a laugh at that, earning a pout from Eorna. "Sorry, I just didn't think that was going to be your reason. Thought it would be something about how the Prince treated you and all that."

"I… well, that's also a factor, but not the main one!" She spoke quickly. "Anyways! We should activate the Charmes. We might as well start on our escape!"

"Yeah, yeah. Let's do it then." Kurose slowly put his hand on Eorna's free arm, making sure he was holding it tightly before he reached his other hand into his pocket, pulling out the Charme.

He closed his mind, reaching for the feeling in the back of his mind. The same feeling returned, of his hand running over a soft fabric as he slowly directed it towards the Charme in his hand. He once again felt it heat up, and as he turned his head to the side, he saw that Eorna had been successful if the fact that he couldn't see her but was still holding onto her was any indication.

"Ready to go?" Kurose spoke up.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's just get out of here." Eorna spoke tiredly.

"Yeah, let's get out of here. Keep an eye on your Mana, okay?"

"Same to you."

The pair took a step out from behind the house, pausing for a moment as they came almost face-to-face with a guard. They backpedaled quickly, even as the guard let out a sigh.

"Jeez, thought I heard someone speaking over here. Maybe I do need to take a holiday if I'm hearing voices…"

The guard shook his head, turning around, leaving the pair to hold their breaths.

The pair let out sighs of relief that their escape attempt hadn't been foiled before it had truly begun. They slowly began their journey toward the entrance and exit of the city. They followed the guard who had almost caught them, making sure to stay slightly further back from him, even as he greeted other guards who seemed to be patrolling the area.

Throughout the journey, Kurose kept an eye on his Mana bar. He didn't want to take any risks with it, not when it might jeopardize their escape.

Once they finally reached the gate, the guard they had been trailing swapped places with one of the few guards who stood outside the first portcullis, who began to take the same path that the previous guard had been taking.

The duo took that opportunity to dash in, with Kurose gently tugging on Eorna's wrist. His mana was getting low, and he didn't feel like being surrounded by guards. He felt her stop moving as he did that, and he slowly began to tug her toward a seemingly empty room.

Once they got into the room, Kurose shut the door just for the smallest bit of protection and security before releasing the hold on his Charme. He watched as his Mana bar stopped draining, beginning instead to slowly fill back up.

"Who are you? Identify yourself!" An unfamiliar voice cried out. Kurose whirled around, finding himself facing a guard who seemed to only have half his equipment on. From the looks of it, it seemed he was in the middle of getting his equipment on, only having the lower half of his leather armor on, with a white undershirt on.

"I said identify yourself!" The guard spoke again, pointing his sword at Kurose.

Kurose slowly raised his hands, even as he felt Eorna move away from him. She wasn't just going to leave him like this, was she? He began to slightly panic as the guard spoke once more.

"Last chance to identify yourself intrud-"

"I'm the Accessory hero!" Kurose answered quickly.

The guard seemed to pause at that, lowering his sword in confusion.

"The Accessory hero? But you were kidnapped by the Dagger hero!"

"I…well, maybe I was, but it's fine. I managed to escape!" Kurose spoke, lying through his teeth. He had to hope the guard wouldn't just see through his lies.

The guard actually seemed to be buying it, nodding his head even as his sword lowered further.

"It makes sense… But how did you escape?"

"Oh, that. Haha, it's not really important is it?" Kurose replied, waving it off.

"Well, it may not be to you, but I would still like to know. It would make my report to my commander easier."

"Oh, yeah, that's fair enough." Kurose let out another nervous laugh, his eyes widening slightly as he saw Eorna reappear in the back corner of the room.

"Well, you know, I finally figured out how to use Charmes and all that. Guess I needed a high-stress situation to actually figure it out, you know?"

The guard seemed to nod at that. "Yeah, I guess a high-stress situation might do you good. It is said that plenty of past heroes went into high-stress situations and came out stronger than before. What did past heroes say about it when asked…"

The guard tapped his foot on the floor, even as Eorna crept closer to him before speaking once more.

"Ah, that's right. It went something like this…" He coughed, clearing his throat before speaking again. "A hero's growth curve isn't a gentle slope. All it takes is something to trigger a change in them, and they will grow to even greater heights."

Kurose nodded his head at that, and even Eorna seemed shocked by that.

"Yeah, I guess that was my trigger, huh? I couldn't even sense my own mana before I was kidnapped, but the second she tried threatening me, it just clicked, you know?" Kurose continued to lie, a nervous laugh escaping him.

He hadn't done any of that on his own merit. He wouldn't have been able to escape without Eorna thinking of jumping through the window. He wouldn't have been able to feel his own mana without his teacher brute forcing it for him.

As of now, the only thing he had truly done out of his own effort, had been to get his teacher's help. As of now, he wasn't worthy of the title of hero, at least in his own mind. He still had plenty of work to even start considering himself a hero.

The guard, however, was oblivious to what was going on in Kurose's mind. "Yeah, that was your trigger. Right, I should probably get you to the commander now. I'm sure the prince will at least be happy to see that you've been resc-"

He was cut off as Eorna wrapped an arm around his neck, dragging him down slightly. He began to struggle, trying to break out of her hold before she leveled her dagger against his throat.

"If you move, you'll die." She spoke coolly. Despite that, Kurose could see the tremble in her hands.

The guard immediately stopped moving at the threat to his own life, speaking up. "W-What do you want from me? You're already kidnapping the Accessory hero!"

"I don't want anything from you!" Eorna spoke back.

"I didn't get kidnapped!" Kurose groaned out at the same time.

"But Accessory hero! We were told the Dagger hero dragged you out of a window!"

"Well, she did, but it was to save the both of us!" The guard stared at him skeptically, and Kurose let out a sigh.

"Alright, moving on. Let's get to questioning you." Kurose spoke. "I'm assuming you were given orders?"

"I was." The guard spoke reluctantly.

"Good. I want you to tell us what those orders were. Even any orders you heard that your friends were given." Kurose spoke with a smile.

"What! No, that's ridicul-"

"Hey hey, you're not in any position to deny us. I mean, she's got her dagger to your neck. It would just take one movement and…" he trailed off, and if the guards widening eyes were any indication, he understood.

"Okay! I'll speak, just don't kill me, please! I have a family back home!"

"You have my word." Kurose spoke calmly.

"Thank you… The orders we were given… it was kill on sight for the Dagger hero, and to restrain you, Accessory hero. We were also told that if we failed to do that, there were squads sent to our border with Dajero to stop the pair of you fleeing there." He spoke it all quickly.

"I see. Is there anything else?" Kurose asked.

"No! That's all my group was given! Please, just let me go…" he spoke, tears beginning to fall slowly down his face.

Kurose looked to Eorna, who met his eyes with a conflicted look. He could understand. He didn't exactly like doing this either. The fake threat already made him feel sick, and he didn't really feel like killing someone who couldn't fight back. Hell, even if they could fight back, he probably wouldn't try to kill them.

"Well, we can't let you go yet. There's always the chance you might immediately say we are here…" Kurose began to slowly look around the room, his eyes catching on the sight of a larger cupboard as he spoke once more. "Hey, what's this room called?"

"This room? It's just the break room. I was just coming off my break. Wait, why are you asking this?" The guard asked suspiciously.

"Well…" Kurose began. "I was just thinking if we lock you in that cupboard if we are caught, I'll just shout you're in the break room or something."

"W-what!? But what if you don't get caught!" The guard cried out again.

"Well, I'm sure you'll make enough noise for someone to investigate if they come in here, right?"

"You can't do this to me! I gave you what you wanted!"

Kurose ignored him. Instead deciding to look through several cupboards. Eventually, he was able to find some rope. He moved over to behind the guard, quickly tying his hands behind his back, even as Eorna kept her dagger against him.

After a short bit, Kurose motioned for Eorna to move the dagger from his neck. She did as he wanted, and Kurose spoke once more.

"Right, let's get you into the cupboard, alright?" Kurose asked. He helped the guard up, who slowly began to walk towards the cupboard with Kurose's hand on his back.

What Kurose hadn't been expecting, however, had been for the guard to dash away from him, launching his body at the door they had entered through. Kurose and Eorna's eyes met, both of them having panicked looks. Kurose looked towards his mana bar, finding it only a third full. He wasn't sure for Eorna, but even as she desperately clutched her Charme, he held the Charme on his amulet.

He saw his SP begin to drain slowly, Even as he watched Eorna disappear. He moved forward, attempting to reach for the now invisible Dagger hero. He managed to grip onto something, and if the small noise was any indication, it belonged to Eorna.

Even as she let out that small noise, the door was slammed open, with the hand-tied guard being thrown back from it.

"The hell was that noise!?" A voice shouted from the now-opened door.

"C-Commander! The Dagger and Accessory heroes! They're here!"

"They are?" The voice exclaimed. "Where are they, I'll apprehend them myself!"

"They're invisible, Sir!"

He took another step into the room, and Kurose saw their opportunity. He began to drag Eorna towards the door. She understood what he was trying to do, and grabbed hold of his arm with her hand, the pair beginning to run. They barely made it through the door and back into the hallway before the commander shouted.

"Close the gates! The heroes are here!" He shouted.

Almost immediately, the sound of the portcullis being lowered met Kurose's ears. He looked forward, noticing the metal slowly lowering, and he moved forward.

However, it wasn't long before he felt Eorna's arm move in front of him. He watched as she reappeared in front of him, the guards all looking at her in shock.

Several immediately jumped into action, attempting to swing at her, but she simply ducked under the blows. One pulled out a Charme, aiming it at Eorna.

Kurose saw it stop glowing. Nothing seemed to be happening around it, but he saw the Charme stop glowing, and the sound of something seeming to cut through the air. All he could tell was that it was aimed toward Eorna, and he knew he had to act.

He dashed in front of Eorna as the attack drew closer, and once it struck, Kurose let out a gasp. He felt the air being forcibly expelled from his lungs, and he wanted to collapse. Whatever it was that hit him hurt like hell.

Eorna turned slightly, watching as Kurose was struck by the Charmes spell, before facing forward, a determined look on her face.

"Erst Step III!"

Her step launched her, and Kurose as well forwards. They were roughly halfway through the hallway, with the portcullis at the exit being half shut.

We aren't going to make it… Kurose came to that revelation as he looked at the portcullis. It was already half shut, and they had only just reached the halfway point between where they were and the portcullis! They had no chance of getting there! Yet, even as Kurose thought that Eorna began to speak again.

"Second Step III!"

The second skill launched them forward again, seemingly even faster than previously. Kurose kept his eyes glued on the portcullis. Even as they passed through the gate, and the sound of the portcullis hitting the floor filled his ears, he kept looking back.

"Pull it back up! We have to go after them!" The commander shouted.

"Yes sir!" Several guards shouted back, small groups running off to both sides of the portcullis.

"Come on!" Eorna shouted, still dragging Kurose along with her. "We need to get out of here!"

With that, she dragged Kurose further into the forest, even as the guards began to slowly work on opening the portcullis.

The pair stopped at what they thought to be a decent distance into the forest. It was much further than Kurose had gone before, and he was uncertain about it.

He had grown up in the city. He was used to the constant noise, the sound of people going about their daily lives. The castle had been similar enough, with the sound of all the servants and the likes moving around so that it wasn't that much of a shock to him, but here in the forest?

It was almost deathly silent. The only interruptions to that were the sounds of birds, as well as the slow breathing of Eorna.

"We… we got out…" Eorna spoke slowly and quietly.

"Yeah, we did it." Kurose spoke back, a small smile on his face. "Come on. We have to keep moving. We can't stop here. We don't know how far out the guards will look for us."

"I…yeah, you're right. Let's keep going." Eorna seemed to be distracted by something, but Kurose didn't push it. They still had to move, even if they had no plan.

Kurose slowly began to move, with Eorna following behind him. He looked up to the sky for a minute, squinting his eyes as he did. It was still late evening, but from the looks of it, it would soon be nighttime.

"Eorna, you didn't happen to bring anything to help us actually survive out here, did you?" Kurose asked curiously, only to receive the answer in the form of Eorna shaking her head.

"Nope. I have nothing except the clothes on my back and my dagger!" She spoke with a grin. "Well, that plus the recipes in my dagger."

"Recipes?"

"Oh, I didn't tell you about them, did I?" She spoke with a smile.

Kurose could only put his face into his hands and groan. She really was a horrible teacher.

"One of these days…" Kurose began to speak. "I will get you to tell me absolutely everything about what our weapons can do. But that day is not today. What are these recipes? And how would I go about unlocking them?"

"Well, I'm not really sure, to be honest," Eorna spoke with a shrug. "I just got it from unlocking a weapon form as I was being escorted here. It was called simple recipe 1, and it lets me just make simple things like it said."

"Are any of these 'simple things' anything helpful? Anything that might help us survive out here?"

"Well, a couple of them are. But the most important thing is definitely the food I can make with my weapon."

"You can make food with it!?" Kurose almost shouted. "That's great. That means we won't have to try and make our own foods, so that saves us time on that."

"The only issue is that we kinda need the ingredients to make the food?" She spoke quickly.

"What? So we need you to just absorb some sort of meat or something to actually make us food?"

"Yeah, but uh…" She looked away for a moment before speaking. "The only thing I actually have unlocked is just a recipe for stew…"

"That's fine," Kurose spoke with a tired sigh. "We should be fine with just stew. As long as it keeps us fed, it'll solve that issue. The other issue is actually surviving the nights. I don't suppose you know anything about sleeping outside?"

"Nope!" She answered cheerfully. "Absolutely nothing! But no better time to learn than the present, right?"

"Yeah, you're right. Still, going to be a massive change for me. Considering I've only ever really slept on mattresses and all that."

"Well, you'll probably get used to it, especially if we are going to be staying like this for a while."

Kurose simply nodded his head, changing the subject as he did so.

"So, what's the plan now? I mean, we escaped. The Prince or I suppose he is the King now, wants you dead and me imprisoned. I don't know where we are, or where to go, and we still have the wave in 7 days."

Eorna seemed to think about it for a minute, tapping her foot as she did. After a moment, she looked at Kurose.

"Well, I would suggest going back to my home country, Dajero, but…" Eorna let out a sigh before continuing. "From what the guard said, they already sent guards to reinforce the border, so we would need to break through again. And there's the issue of the churches even if we do breakthrough."

"What's wrong with the churches?"

"They're split. Some of them worship the Dagger hero like fanatics. They would literally be willing to lay down their lives for me which just… it makes me feel uncomfortable. The other group worships the weapon itself, and I'm not sure they'd be happy to have it just be wielded by some nobody like me. As it was, the more fanatic group already tried to stop me from coming to Ortensca."

"I see… so us going there would be incredibly difficult, put you in a difficult position, and maybe even spark conflict between the two churches."

"Yeah, and I could really do without any blood on my hands just because I went back home without thinking of the consequences."

Kurose nodded. Honestly, he was surprised at just how mature about it she was. He admittedly wouldn't have thought twice about it, and only realized the error of his ways after the fact. Eorna seemed more mature than she let on, and he had to wonder, how much of the excitable girl was a mask, and how much of it was the truth?

He shook his head, speaking up. "Well then, I guess we only really have one other choice, don't we?" Kurose spoke simply. "We go to Pa…Pal..?" He trailed off, not able to remember the country's name.

"You mean Palinfa?" Eorna supplied the answer, and Kurose went on with what he was saying.

"Yup! Our only choice is to go to Palinfa, and meet up with the Lesser Jewelry Tools to explain our situation." Kurose declared.

"Yeah, I guess that is the only option we have as of now. But we also need to focus on getting stronger before the wave in 7 days."

"Yeah, I kind of forgot about that. I'll need you to tell me what happened during the wave you were part of in full. Anything special, that sort of stuff."

"That's fine, but I won't be able to tell you much that I didn't tell you earlier. But before that, we should probably find a place to stop for the night."

"Yeah, we need to find somewhere I guess…"

With that, the duo got to looking for somewhere to sleep for the night.

The pair were sitting on a fallen log they had found conveniently in the middle of a clearing. The only thing that could be heard by the pair was the sound of crickets, or at least what Kurose assumed to be crickets, chirping in the distance.

"It's already dark, and I don't even feel tired!" Eorna complained.

"Well, maybe it's the adrenaline from actually escaping the city?"

"It could be, but um… What happened to you? Whilst I was using my skills? I only saw you get hit by something."

"It was one of the guards. They were using a charme, and you were focused on trying to get us both out of there. So I took the hit."

"Are you hurt at all?" She asked, concerned.

"Oh, now you're concerned about someone being hurt. Where was that earlier?" he spoke back in a teasing tone.

"Look, that was different! We were still in the city, and we didn't have time for it! Now, are you injured?"

"No, I'm fine. Trust me. It wasn't anything dangerous. If anything, it felt like he was trying to launch compressed air at you. I'm fine, it just winded me a bit."

Eorna stared at him for a moment, Narrowing her eyes at him before nodding, seeming to accept it.

"I guess that's fine. But since I'm not going to be sleeping any time soon, is there anything you want to talk about?"

"Well, I guess I'd like to know some more about the wave. You told me your experience, but I'm guessing you probably got a decent amount of information from the few adventurers there, right?"

"Hm, yeah, I got some information about it. They said that the wave was… different? From what the books said." Kurose motioned for her to continue, and she did so. "One of the adventurers I was tending to said that he mentioned seeing the lesser Jewelry Tools for a couple of seconds, but then he suddenly disappeared."

"So, the Jewelry Tools were there during that wave," Kurose spoke to himself, even as Eorna continued on.

"Apparently the boss monster did not appear immediately either. It was just hordes of regular monsters which they had to hold out against for a while. They also vaguely mentioned seeing rings through the wave? But I waved that off as maybe the stress getting to them."

"Was there any more mention of the Jewelry Tools?" he asked curiously.

"Oh, yeah. They said he came back looking super scared for some reason. They said he was panicking about something, but he refused to tell anyone. He just focused on all the monsters around him until the boss monster just… kind of appeared? He took care of it and disappeared again immediately."

"He was scared? What would scare the Jewelry Tools hero? I mean, from what I was told, he's been a hero for a while now. Surely he's strong enough to handle stuff for now, right?"

"That's what I was thinking! And that's what's got me so concerned about the waves! If it's enough to scare him, we need to grow stronger, faster!" Eorna declared.

"Yeah. Tomorrow, we should probably keep moving towards Palinfa, but try our best to fight everything we can find. We are going to need all the levels and weapon forms we can get."

"That sounds like a plan, but um…" Eorna scratched the back of her head before speaking. "We are probably going to have to find a village at the very least, just so we know where we are. I know we are near the capital and all that, but I really didn't pay attention to where we ran as we got out of the gate."

"That is an issue… Maybe if we can disguise ourselves, we could actually try and get a map from a village when we find one? It would help us with plotting a course to Palinfa."

"That's fine with me. Though, I don't really have much way to disguise myself, do I? If anything, it will have to be you going in on your own."

"You make a good point. I guess ill have to get you a couple of things when we do find a village, just so you can actually come in. Thank god my Accessory can change into less conspicuous things. I'll probably change it into its regular amulet form and just shove it under my shirt or something. We will have to sell off the monsters we fight as well, won't we?"

"Hmm? No, I have some stuff we can sell in my Monster drop menu."

"Monster drop menu?"

"Yeah! Wait… don't tell me…" She looked at him, first in shock, then looked away in embarrassment as she realized her mistake.

"Eorna…"

"I know, I know! I'm sorry! It's just there's so much to remember! It's not my fault, okay!"

"It's… fine…" Kurose spoke through his teeth. "Just tell me… what the monster drop menu is, please."

"Okay! When we absorb monsters, there's a chance we can get a couple of extra items. Some of those golems I absorbed from the wave gave me some ores and a few gems along with a weapon form. See?" Eorna then held her dagger out, and the gem began to glow as a few glowing ore chunks seemed to drop out of it, along with a few glowing yellow gems. Kurose eyed up the gems, and Eorna spoke up.

"You can absorb some of the ore and a gem if you want, especially if it'll give you some more weapon forms. Though, we should sell the rest."

Kurose did as she said, Unlocking only two weapon forms.

Illuminore Ring

Rarity: Uncommon

Abilities Locked Equip Bonus: +4 Mana

Equip Effect: Glow

Gem slots: 2

Electrionite Gem Bracelet

Rarity: Uncommon

Abilities Locked Equip Bonus: +2 SP, Electrify

Gem slots: 2

"These… are pretty good. I won't be able to use them until I level up a bit more, but they are going to be helpful, even if I don't know what this Electrify skill does."

Kurose kept looking at the remaining couple of gems. He did wonder if he could use those for his gem equip method, but was it really going to be worth it? They needed the cash, not only for a map but to get supplies that they needed if they were going to travel to Palinfa.

"Eh? You got a skill for absorbing that Electrionite? That's unfair! I just got a small boost to electric-based attacks! I can't even do anything with electricity!"

"Well, if we keep absorbing stuff, you will have to eventually get something electricity based, right? And if that doesn't work, there's probably some sort of blacksmith willing to make a dagger out of something that generates any sort of electricity right? And you could copy that."

"Yeah, you're right! I need to absorb more stuff!"

Even as Eorna pumped her hand into the sky, Kurose checked his own Monster drop menu, finding nothing of note. The only thing really in there was a bunch of herbs that he had never heard the name of, and they weren't going to help out right now. He had no idea what to do with them.

He closed the menu, letting out a small yawn, even as he began to stretch his arms. Seeing this, Eorna spoke up.

"If you want to go to sleep, go ahead. I'll keep watch for the night, and we will start moving in the morning."

"If you are sure. Make sure to wake me up if anything does happen."

"I will," Eorna spoke easily. "Sleep well, or… as well as you can I guess."

Kurose nodded his head, moving down to the floor. He laid down, feeling the dirt under him before sighing.

This… is going to be a tough night… With another sigh, he shut his eyes, doing his best to try and fall asleep.

Thank you to Grizzly Writings for telling me I had forgotten to replace Vambraces in this chapter
