A/N:

So, this entire chapter is a flashback, next chapter will be back in present day. Thanks for all of the followers and reviews. I'm also going to respond to any questions/reviews I get on here when I get the chance.

Ichigo urahara Shihoin – Thanks for your review

Guest/Dncnntmoonlight – Going to respond to both of you at the same time. With regards to Aurora's face claim, since her personality is quite deep, complex and quite similar to Margaery Tyrell from GOT, I'd say Aurora's live-action face claim would be Natalie Dormer (with blonde hair…for now at least).

TwilightSparkle1 – Yes, Aurora is the type of person who speaks her mind…she learned that from Bo-Katan.

princesselsaamidala22 – Maybe…maybe not…you'll have to wait and see.

Thanks, now back to the story.

Aurora's Age (20 Years Old)

Location: Coruscant

"Can I ask a question?" Aurora asked quietly as she leaned over to her mother who was sitting to her right.

"Of course darling, what's wrong?" Satine asked in concern.

"Why are we here?" Aurora questioned gesturing to the rest of the senate around them.

Aurora, her mother, and Aurora's younger cousin, Korkie, were sitting in their designated pod in the senate along with thousands of other politicians from around the galaxy.

"I want you to understand that when the time comes for you to become the Duchess, you will have some knowledge of what the job entails, and part of it is attending meetings of the senate." Satine explained and Aurora rolled her eyes. "Why can't you be like Korkie?"

Aurora looked over her shoulder to see her cousin (by only 3 years) taking notes on a data pad of the debate. Considering how much time they spent together, Aurora considered him to be her younger brother, and Korkie considered Aurora to be his older sister.

Aurora had a look of disgust on your face. "Are you seriously taking notes?"

Korkie looked up and noticed Aurora's judgmental look. "What? Auntie Satine said to take notes, I want to be prepared."

"For what?" Aurora questioned.

Korkie shrugged. "Maybe the Chancellor will come up to us and ask questions, you never know."

Aurora groaned in disgust as she leaned back in her seat. She hated this entire thing. Not only was she annoyed that she had to be at the senate listening to people debate about nothing for hours on end, but she was annoyed about what she was wearing. She was also wearing a sleeveless hunter green gown with a slight plunging neckline (but not too low so she wouldn't look provocative) …which she felt was quite unnecessary, even though she was dressed simpler compared to other senators and monarchs who were fashioned in the most elaborate way possible with enormous and over the top headdresses, jewel-encrusted gowns, and capes. The only thing that made her stand out was her crown and necklace. Her hair was neatly pinned up and away from her eyes, which allowed her to wear the crown that symbolized her royal status as princess. The crown was aligned with priceless jewels which made it quite heavy, which gave her a headache due to the weight, which annoyed Aurora even more than she already was. Her necklace matched her crown as it was comprised of the same stones the crown was made out of. To many people within the Senate, Aurora was considered to be one of the most beautiful, intelligent, outgoing, and kind individuals that had ever walked through those halls.

"I highly doubt that the Chancellor will come and talk to us, half of the people here hate us." Aurora commented as she crossed her arms still in her slouching position.

"I beg to differ." Satine quietly interjected. "As the leader of the Council of Neutral Systems, I am respected by many regents, senators, and monarchs from around the galaxy. I speak for thousands of worlds that want to remain peaceful at all costs."

"Mother," Aurora began. "The Council of Neutral Systems is a sub-group of the Pacifist Faction within the senate. You are respected by people who like-minded ideals…thus concluding my statement that half of the people in here hate us."

"Aurora," Satine began as she turned towards her daughter. "For once, I want you to appreciate what you will eventually be in charge of. You will carry on your grandfather's and my legacy as the ruler of Mandalore…it is your job to keep it at its neutral status at all costs."

Aurora sighed as Satine once again turned her attention back to the debate, knowing that she would not win this fight. Though she grew up understanding and following her mother's instructions on how to not only remain neutral in any violent situation, but also on how to be a paragon princess for the planet, she did not feel like those ideals represented her mentality.

Just then a muffled beeping sound came from Aurora's left wrist. Aurora glanced down and noticed it was her comms device given to her by the Death Watch. Aurora quickly glanced to her mother who was clearly paying no attention to her daughter. As quickly as she could, she sat on her left wrist, and even though her effort was well attempted, it still didn't stop the beeping.

Aurora then stood up and began to walk out of the pod, towards the main corridor of the senate.

"Where are you going?" Satine whispered.

Aurora gave her mother a small smile. "I'm going to get some air."

Satine smiled back. "Hurry back soon, remember, you are going to need these skills."

Aurora had a slight roll of her eyes. "I know Mother."

She then walked out of the pod and into the corridor. She continued walking down the corridor until she reached the outdoor portion of the senate entirely. She walked toward an area that had no senate guards, and when the coast was clear, she activated the holographic device so the beeping would stop.

"Took you long enough." Bo-Katan said in annoyance as she crossed her arms.

With her was a very angered Pre Vizsla along with his second lieutenant Gar Saxon. All of them had their helmets off which made speaking to them a tiny bit easier…at least in Aurora's mind.

"Sorry, I was in the Senate debate…not like I wanted to be." Aurora explained with a small sigh.

"You should've answered. You know your place is with Death Watch and not those ungrateful politicians." Pre said as he crossed his arms.

Aurora's expression became angered. While she considered Pre to be almost like a 'surrogate father' in her life, when it came to the topic of their mother…they greatly disagreed. Pre believed that Satine should be removed from her throne…no matter what the cost…even if it meant her death. Whereas Aurora believed that while her mother was wrong for practically causing a genocide of Mandalorian culture (warrior ideals), she was still her mother and she didn't want her to die, especially for what she had done to the Mandalorian people.

"She may be with us, but remember, she's still a princess." Gar said with a small smile which made Aurora's hard, stern expression become softer.

"We need you to do something…it's important." Bo began ignoring both Pre and Gar's actions.

"What is it?" Aurora questioned without objection.

"We need you to break in to Palpatine's office, he has information on something we want." Bo explained.

"Wait, why?" Aurora asked tilting her head to the side.

"That is a need-to-know factor. Just know that the information we need is more important than you think." Pre explained. "Gar will fill you in on the exact location. Good luck."

Just then the hologram ended, and Aurora glanced out to look across the Coruscant skyline. A few moments later the same beeping sound that she has heard earlier. Once again, she activated the device and a hologram of Gar appeared.

"So, what are you going to tell me?" Aurora began with a small smirk. "Don't mess this up?"

Gar shrugged. "Yes?"

Aurora rolled her eyes. "Figures. That's all you ever tell me, and here I thought you'd be glad to see me."

Gar smiled. "I'm always glad to see you."

Aurora rolled her eyes again. "Why's Pre all cranky? I haven't seen him like that in a long time."

This time Gar rolled his eyes. "He's been starting to crack down on us…things have changed."

"Yeah, Pre's crazy…you and I both know this." Aurora replied

"No Ro," Gar said more seriously. "Things haven't been the same. Pre's been cracking down…he's been trying to ally us with Separatist forces."

Aurora titled her head to the side. "Why?"

Gar sighed. "He says it'll help with taking Mandalore. And the information that he wants you to retrieve from Palpatine's office has something to do with that."

Aurora frowned. "Why would Palpatine have anything to do with the Separatists?"

"He is the Supreme Chancellor, and he's technically in charge of both Republic and Separatist representatives." Gar began and Aurora rolled her eyes.

"I know Gar." Aurora replied in annoyance. "I have known these people since I was a child."

This time Gar rolled his eyes. "Ro…seriously."

Aurora sighed. "I'm sorry. I literally don't want to be here…at all. And now the fact that you are making me go into the office of a man who not only I despise but who is also desperately trying to manipulate my mother into becoming a supporter of the war."

Aurora glanced out to the bustling airways of Coruscant again and began to walk toward the edge of the balcony. As she looked over the skyline, watching shuttles, ships, and taxis bus people around all over the planet she smiled internally to herself.

"Where is it in the Chancellor's office?" Aurora questioned not turning her gaze back to Gar on her wrist.

"Somewhere in his desk. Do you have your ear coms with you?" He asked.

"Of course." She replied.

"Good, I'll contact you in a few moments. Just start heading towards Palpatine's office. Good luck. This is the way." Gar said with a nod.

Aurora nodded back. "This is the way."

She ended the call and walked back inside to head towards the Chancellor's office. As she walked back down the corridor, she noticed that the debate was still going on and hadn't even started the rebuttal, so she had enough time.

"Have I ever told you how beautiful you look recently?" Gar's voice projected through her ear.

Aurora huffed quietly in amusement. "You tell me all the time; how could I not forget. Truly I'm flattered."

"Has your mother started searching for a potential husband for you?" He questioned and Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Yes." She said with a small sigh. "Though I tend to scare them away by threatening to murder them…it usually works like a charm."

She heard Gar sighed. "I don't know if you are joking or if your serious…but then again you have the humor to joke about something like that but sometimes you have the demeanor to do something like that."

Aurora smirked. "That's for me to know and for you to find out."

She heard Gar let out a quiet laugh, making her roll her eyes with a smirk still on her face.

"That's my girl." He murmured.

Aurora ignored that last comment as she walked towards the doors to Palpatine's office, and when she tried to open the door, surprisingly it was left unlocked.

She walked in and took notice that no one was there, which was odd. There was usually always guards guiding the door, even when Palpatine wasn't there.

'Perhaps since it was such a large assembly, there was more guards needed' She thought.

She walked around to the other side of the chancellor's desk and sat down in his chair. There were a ton of papers on his desk, which was odd, since he almost never had papers…at least according to what she heard from other senators.

"What am I looking for?" Aurora questioned.

"Anything…but it most likely could be some sort of hard drive." Gar explained.

She pondered through the files for a few minutes when she found a single hard drive…one that would plug into a HoloTable, and on the other side of it, had the Separatist symbol.

"I got it." Aurora replied as she quickly replaced the files back where they originally were, grabbed the hard drive, and quickly walked out of the office. As she walked down the corridor she was met by a senator.

"Aurora?" A familiar voice called from behind her.

Aurora sighed as she turned around.

"Breathe." Gar said calmly.

"Senator Organa, it is so good to see you again." Aurora said with a small smile. The exact same smile she used when speaking to fellow politicians. In other words, she was faking it the entire time.

"The same goes to you." He said warmly. "Are you lost? Do you need help getting back to your mother's pod?"

She shook her head. "No, that's fine thank you. I was just taking a breather. It's…a lot all at once."

Bail nodded. "It can be quite overwhelming…but you will do well when you become Duchess, you will be a good leader, just like your mother."

Aurora began to take a few steps back. "Speaking of which, I best be heading back. It was nice seeing you."

He gave her a small wave. "It was nice seeing you as well Aurora, tell your mother I said hello."

Aurora smiled back. "Of course, I will." Before practically running away from Bail Organa.

"You really perfected that Monarch personality…it's like a totally different you." Gar said and Aurora could picture the smirk on his face.

"You best be going…I'm almost back to the pod." She said quietly.

"Oh, but I want to here about stuck up politicians debating about useless ideals…it's oh so thrilling." Gar replied sarcastically.

Aurora rolled her eyes. "I'll see you back on Concordia within a week. Tell Pre to calm down and breathe until then."

Gar huffed. "I'll try. Please be careful."

Aurora stopped in her tracks in the corridor before she reached the pod. "I will."

"Alright, I love you." She heard him quietly say.

That was what she was dreading to hear. Its not that she didn't have feelings for Gar, but with her royal status…their 'relationship' would never work.

She closed her eyes and sighed. "I love you too."

As she opened her eyes she felt the call disconnect, before she turned the corner and walked back into her family's pod.

Satine's eyes practically lit up when she saw Aurora walk back to her seat. As soon as Aurora sat down, Satine started:

"There you are!" She exclaimed. "You missed it. The senator from Christophsis just had a heated argument with the senator from Nur. It was quite the debate."

Aurora gave her a small smile. "I'm sure it was."

As Satine turned her attention back to the debate, Korkie glanced at Aurora, shook his head, and then got back to writing down notes. When she realized both of them were distracted, she began to look at the hard drive and began to wonder….why did the Chancellor have it…and what was so important on it, that the people she considered to be her family were keeping secrets from her.
