A/N

So, this chapter is going to basically show what Aurora is going to be doing for most of the Mortis arc along with some of the events that are going to take place as Aurora will be separated from the rest of the group for a while. I did this on purpose for the sake of the story. There's also Easter Eggs for future chapters and potentially new characters that will come around, along with hints as to certain events that will occur in future chapters. I won't say what or where they are, but they are in here.

Happy Holidays,

Present Day

Aurora's POV

I immediately noticed their facial expressions and stood up abruptly, before starting to walk out of the cave.

"Where are you going?" Obi-Wan asked.

I shrugged. "I need to clear my head…please do me a favor, don't follow me…either of you."

They both looked at each other before looking back at me as I walked out of the cave. I sighed before I glanced up to notice that the storm had ended, and the sun was out. I rolled my eyes before walking to the edge of the cliff where my blasters landed that were taken out of my hands by the weird flying monster guy. I activated my whipcord and aimed it towards the ground, before descending the cliff. Once I was safely on a ledge, I released it, and it came coiling back into my right vambrace. As soon as I was on the ledge, was when I realized they were gone. It was like they vanished into thin air.

"You've got to be kidding me." I said in annoyance.

I activated my whipcord again, and continued down the cliff, until I landed on the solid ground that was below it. I knelt and touched the grass, as it was the most beautiful shade of green, I'd ever seen. Growing up on Mandalore, and living in a domed city, I never got to seen true greenery until I went off world. I also never new that some many different climates could occur during a year as for the longest time I thought a hot climate was consistent throughout most planets.

As I continued to walk through this field in essence, that's when I started to realize that the sky had begun to darken making me stop in my tracts.

"Not this shit again." I murmured to myself.

I continued to walk, and the sky darkened more and more with each step I took. When it was completely dark, I stopped and crossed my arms.

"Aurora." A foreign voice said off in the distance.

I quickly snapped my head around. "Who's there?"

I glanced behind me and looked around to realize that no one was there.

"Aurora." The voice said again.

I slowly turned my head forward to see the same figure as the one in the cave…the older version of me…standing right in front of me.

"Oh great." I said in annoyance. "You're back."

"You really need to have a better attitude." She responded and I rolled my eyes.

"You need to have better timing." I explained this time she rolled her eyes.

"Also," I began while gesturing to the sky. "What's this? Why are you doing the whole 'magic act' now? Like come on, you and me, me, and you, I'm me and you're you, but you're also me and I'm also you."

She sighed in annoyance. "I did this so no one would come find you."

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.

She sighed. "This place is dangerous, especially for a person like you. The Son will try to turn Skywalker to the Dark Side, and next he would try to turn you as well."

"The Son? Is that the flying monster guy?" I ask and she nodded. "Wait, why would he try to kill Anakin?"

"Anakin is what the Jedi call 'The Chosen One', as he is to bring balance to both the Light and Dark Sides of the force. There is a prophecy that is thousands of years old that foretold his birth…many know, but he doesn't realize it." Older me explained.

I nodded. "So where do I come in?"

She gave me a small smile. "You fit in and are a direct target for The Son, because the force is strong within you as well."

My eyes widened. "WHAT?"

"Don't scream." She instructed. "Have you ever wondered how you are able to hear things so clearly, how you are able to tell if something is going to go wrong, if someone is injured? Don't you wonder why your dreams are visions of the future? Your nightmares show what will happen in future years."

I shook my head. "I just thought it was intuition."

She shook her head with a small smile. "No, you are force-sensitive Aurora, you have always been…we have always been. From the time of our birth to the time of our death, and beyond."

I stood there in shock. That's why I could hear the kidnapped children cry on Mustafar, that's how I could hear Ahsoka calling for help on Geonosis, and that's how I could predict that something bad could happen to Ahsoka and Barriss when they went to pick up supplies. I was force-sensitive…I had powers…I had the same powers Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan had. I was one of them.

"Do you mean I am one of them?" I questioned.

"The Jedi?" She asked and I nodded but she shook her head. "No, and you will never be one of them. You have another job."

"And what is that?" I asked. "To rule Mandalore as Duchess?"

She shook her head. "I can't tell you any of that, as if you learn it now, you can possibly change your past and alter your future."

My head tilted to the side. "You're from the future?"

She nodded.

"Wait, if you're from the future, can you at least tell me this?" I asked.

"What?" She asked as she crossed her arms.

"Do I get married to Gar and give up my throne for him because I really don't want to do that." I explained and she laughed. "I mean the guy was nice at the time but now I kind of want to kill him for everything he did to my…I mean our mother."

She smiled and shook her head. "No, we do not marry Gar. We marry someone from our childhood…and it's not the person you might think."

"So, I'm guessing Zara and I don't get married?" I asked with a laugh, and she shook her head no. "Zara would kill us more than she already wants to."

She nodded. "Agreed. You will meet the person we marry in the future, but for now, I'd rather you wait and figure it our yourself like I did."

"Is he…attractive at least?" I asked sheepishly.

She started to laugh. "Yes."

"Did our mother approve of him? Was it arranged?" I continued to ask.

She tilted her head back and forth. "Mother was…optimistic to say the least, and no, it wasn't arranged."

"So, why did our mother make it so she'd never tell us that we were force-sensitive?" I asked changing the subject as I figured she wouldn't tell me anymore information on the future.

"To keep us safe." She explained. "She didn't want us to be taken from her and be trained in a military aspect."

"Yet look at us now." I said gesturing to our attire, and she nodded. "Five-star parenting."

"With a lot of emotional damage." She said with a sigh. "And physical and emotional scars that are more than I can count on two hands."

"So…when do I get the red hair? Am I a criminal…I mean I know I am a criminal, but the red hair look is kind of working for you…I mean us." I explained.

"I can't tell you that." She said with a small frown.

"Why are you here?" I asked. "Are you just here to aggravate me? Annoy me? Why did you come back to talk to me?"

"To warn you of the future." She explained. "In coming times, you will experience loss like you have never felt it before. It will make you question everything and who you are as a person. You will learn more about yourself than you will ever know, and it will change how you view things."

"So why are you telling me this?" I asked and she sighed in annoyance. "For my health?"

She shook her head again. "You need to trust in yourself in the future. In other words, trust in the force."

"Now you sound like the Jedi." I said with an eyeroll.

"Well, even though we will never be one of them, we do hang around them a lot." She explained and I nodded.

"Where is Anakin now?" I asked.

"With The Father." She explained. "He is testing him as we speak. The Son and The Daughter took both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka to them so he could be tested on bringing balance to the Light and Dark Sides."

"So, we were brought to this stupid planet because Flyboy's magical powers, is the key to the future of this damn galaxy!" I practically shout.

"Unfortunately." She said with a small nod.

"Why is this happening to me?" I questioned in annoyance as I began to pace back and forth. "I need to go help them."

"No!" Older me explained. "You cannot go near them…at least not yet."

"Why?" I asked in frustration.

"It is too dangerous…and I know we have a thing for defiance, but this time I'm serious." She explained. "You could jeopardize your…our future."

"You're not helping my cause." I explained and she rolled her eyes. "You won't tell me why you look like that; you won't tell me why I can't help Anakin, and you won't tell me about my future. So, I'm going to ask for the final time today, why are you here and why am I?"

She sighed before looking off in the horizon, before taking down the illusion of the dark sky to reveal the sun shining down on the planet.

She turned back to me. "I am here to tell you that this planet will help you recognize what you will become, and as for why you are here, that you have to figure out for yourself."

I turned to look behind me to look at the path where I came from. "Yeah, well that gave me so…"

As I turned back to look at future me, I realized she was gone.

"Well, that's just great." I said aloud with sarcasm dripping in my voice before I continued to walk forward to explore the planet along with finding Anakin, Ahsoka, and Obi-Wan.

I continued walking through the field when I came to realize that it felt to me like it was going on forever. All was going well, until I tripped on a rock and fell to the ground, slicing my right arm open. I looked down and saw blood covering most of my upper arm.

"Great." I said in annoyance.

I placed my left hand over the cut on my upper arm to try and stop the bleeding as I continued to walk.

"There's got to be some sort of water source somewhere." I said aloud as I stumbled down a hill.

Eventually, the field turned into a forest, and sure enough I found a small stream running through it.

I sighed in relief before kneeling beside the stream. I used my left hand to take some of the water to try and clean my cut. I looked down and saw the streaks of red running through my fingers, as the blood colored the crystal-clear water. I glanced at my arm to see if the bleeding had stopped, in which I noticed that the cut, and the incision, were completely gone. I looked at my arm in shock before pulling a small dagger out from one of my vambraces to immediately cut the palm of my left hand. I winced in pain as I did it, but I immediately stuck it into the stream for a few seconds before pulling it out. As I did, I watched as the self-inflicted wound I just created vanished before my eyes into thin air.

"Incredible." I said in astonishment. "I wish I could take some of this back home."

The reason as to why I want to bring some of it home is because when I was younger, and my mother wanted me to help with peace around the galaxy, when I was about 11, she took me during her peaceful efforts on Kalevala after a Death Watch bombing, and while I was there, I learned the arts of healing from medical professionals as the area of Kalevala that we were in didn't have medical protocol droids. It was one of my few fond experiences that I had with my mother that didn't involve opposing ideas in politics, and it was one of the few times I wasn't treated like a princess, as I was treated like a medic, a civilian and not royalty, which I didn't argue about and excepted with gratitude.

I slowly stood up from my crouching position and crossed the tiny stream before continuing to find the three morons. As I continued to walk, I noticed that the landscaped changed and went back into a meadow, but unlike it did when future me showed up, the sun continued to shine verses the darkened landscape that had occurred earlier. I continued through another field and eventually came to another flat area once again.

"Aurora, daughter of Satine." An unfamiliar voice said from behind me. "The People's Princess, Mandalore's Delight, The Rebellious Princess, and The Illegitimate Princess."

I whipped my head around to see an elderly man standing behind me.

I sighed in annoyance. "Let me guess, you're The Father?"

He nodded. "You have heard of me."

I rolled my eyes. "From apparently my future self, who is not as easy to read as I am…then again, I'm not that easy to read either."

"You my dear, should come with me for your safety." He explained.

I crossed my arms. "Older me said I should stay far away from you for my safety."

"Your Royal Highness," He began, and I immediately rolled my eyes. "For protection against my son, you should come with me. He won't dare harm you under my protection."

"Really?" I questioned. "Is that why you kidnapped Ahsoka and Obi-Wan by usage of your children?"

He sighed. "It was to test Skywalker. You do not need to be tested, but you need to learn how to use your powers as they have gone dormant for most of your life, and only little spickets of them have creeped into your day-to-day life."

I tilted my head to the side. "Like my hearing, and ability to predict the future?"

He nodded. "Just a mere fraction, of what you are able to do."

I sighed knowing he was right. I did want to learn more about myself, especially where I came from and how I had these abilities, and if anyone else in my family has or had them.

"Can you tell me if anyone else had these powers before me?" I questioned.

"Not exactly." He began. "But I can give you some insight on to how you were gifted with them."

I nodded and sighed. "Fine, I'll go with you, but I want answers as to why I specifically was dragged into this mess."

He didn't reply but only walked past me before gesturing me to follow him. I rolled my eyes and sighed as I followed him through the field, unsure as hell on where we were going and or what the hell we would find, as this planet was full of surprises so far.
