Present Day

Aurora's POV

We were sitting around a fire that the three kids built. Ahsoka was sitting next to me, but as I looked over the kids and Ahsoka, I realized that they were more beat-up than I was. The kids especially more beat-up…they've must've been here a long time.

"How did you get captured?" The female human girl asked.

"I was heading toward Felucia when my ship got caught in a tractor beam. I didn't know where I was since they gassed me, and the next thing I knew, I woke up to being tortured by some associate of Dooku's." I coughed, my throat was still raw from being choked, and I figured that I will most likely lose my voice within a few hours.

Ahsoka noticed the pain I had when I was speaking, and gently ran her hand over my neck. I winced in pain.

"When we get back to Coruscant, you're going to need time in the infirmary." She explained and I glared at her.

The Twi'lek huffed in amusement. "You're not getting off this planet. I told you that already Ahsoka, everyone comes in, nobody comes out."

Ahsoka sighed. "Jinx, we're going to get out of here. Now we have Ro, and she probably knows an escape plan."

"Seems like another mouth to feed." Jinx replied. "What's a Princess going to do? Teach us how to curtsey?"

My eyes snapped to Jinx in anger.

"Jinx, that's enough." The female replied before looking to me. "I'm Kalifa, you've already met Jinx, and that's O-Mer, I'm sorry for any trouble Your Highness..."

"She prefers to be called Aurora." Ahsoka explained and my hard gaze softened as I glanced towards Ahsoka. "And if I need to explain, she's more than capable of taking care of herself."

Jinx rolled his eyes in amusement. "I'll be the judge of that."

My expression then turned hard again as my eyes once again snapped towards Jinx. I continued eye contact with him as I slowly stood up.

"How long have you been here Ahsoka?" I ask not taking my eyes off Jinx.

"About a day." She replied. "Why?"

"Have you eaten anything?" I ask, still having a visible showdown with Jinx.

"No, why?" She questioned.

"I'm going out." I explained as I started to walk out of the cave.

"Where are you going?" I heard Kalifa call out to me.

"Hunting." I explained.

"Hunting?" O-Mer asked. "For what?"

"Dinner." I replied.

"You won't survive out there, it's too dangerous, you won't make it an hour!" Jinx called after me making a smirk come onto my face as I slowly turned around before reaching down into my right boot (since my left foot was still barefoot), and pulled out a small dagger, making all their eyes widen.

"Kid, you do know you are talking to one of the galaxy's most feared assassins, a former member of Death Watch, and a person who is also Force-Sensitive and has overly sensitive hearing….I think I can manage." I explained before walking out of the cave.

I twirled the dagger between my fingers before placing it into portion of my utility belt that was made for the dagger that was taken from me by the Trandoshans. I honestly forgot that I had a dagger in my boot, I must've been so out of it, that I completely forgot that I could've fought my way out of being captured and gotten off this disgusting planet…. but then Ahsoka would still be here, and if I left her behind, Anakin would never forgive me, and I wouldn't be able to live with myself…she's basically become my sister at this point.

I continued to trek through the jungle and eventually ended up in the middle of it. I eventually heard footsteps behind me, and I quickly turned around and aimed my knife at my follower. It was Jinx.

"What do you want?" I asked in annoyance.

"Kalifa sent me to keep an eye on you." He said in annoyance back.

"I told you; I can handle myself." I explained before touching my throat, which was becoming rawer by the second.

"Yeah, I'll be the judge of that Sunshine." He said with a smirk.

I immediately snapped around and aimed the small dagger at his throat.

"Don't ever call me that again." I hissed, mostly because my throat was killing me.

He sighed before I moved the knife away from his throat before we continued to trek through the jungle. We were silent for a while before Jinx started to speak.

"How does a Princess get involved with the Republic?" He asked.

"I wanted to make a name for myself…I was wanted for various war-crimes…things I did working under…horrible people when the Jedi found me and asked for my help. So far, they're the only people I trust other than my family and myself." I explained.

"The Jedi are untrustworthy." Jinx replied.

"Says the kid who was one." I practically snapped.

He huffed in amusement. "I was abandoned by the Jedi Order on Geonosis. My Master was killed in front of me. I cried and screamed for someone to help, but the only thing they did, was fight off the Geonosians and ignored my cries. I was left there with my Master, and they only then came to see me after I had endured trauma. The only thing the Jedi care about, right now, is themselves…you don't know what it's like. Left fending for yourself. Wondering if someone will come help you…if someone will come rescue you."

I stopped in my tracks as he walked past me. I sighed.

"Actually, I do." I explained making him stop and turn around.

"I was a year old when I got kidnapped the first time. I was taken from my home in the middle of the night, they took me all the way across the galaxy to Utapau. Thankfully I have no recollection of what happened since I was a child, but I have a reminder of my time there." I explained before I turned around, and moved my hair away from my back to show that I had a small scar on it.

"I got that during my time there. I was there for 2 weeks. I had the entire Mandalorian sector looking for me…and nobody found me. It wasn't until my mother enlisted the help of the Jedi…apparently old friends of hers to come and get me. The funny thing is that she didn't do it, until two weeks after I was taken...I could've been dead…but because she's a pacifist, she didn't want to hunt down the men that took me. She waited for me to come back to her. And when I did, she never let me out of her sight." I explained.

"She cares about you." He said with a sigh.

I shook my head. "No. She cares if I am well enough to carry on my family's legacy. And the same goes for my aunt, after I got captured, I joined a group of people who made me believe that what they were doing was the best for Mandalore. I didn't realize until I met up with the Jedi that I was wrong. I slaughtered innocent children, families, murdered innocent people, burned villages, destroyed civilizations, all because I was brainwashed by people, I considered to be my family."

He looked at me in silence as I took a step towards him.

"You really think you're the only brainwashed person here." I said in anger. "Kid, I've been brainwashed for 21 years. Get. In. Line."

He was about to reply, before a loud blaster shot hit the tree just missing the two of us. I quickly turn my head around two Trandoshans firing at us.

"RUN!" I hoarsely yell and both of us start running through the jungle.

Even though I was running as fast as I could, and Jinx probably was doing the same, with their biological characteristics, the Trandoshans were catching up to us quickly. We both kept running but ended up being on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the sea. We both turned around to face the Trandoshans.

"End of the line." One of them said.

"Maybe for you." I replied before I grabbed my knife and threw It at his hand which made him release the grip he had on his gun. Jinx distracted the other Trandoshan by also fighting with him in hand-to-hand combat and doing a decent job at it. At the same time, I was put in a headlock by the Trandoshan that I threw my knife at and was getting pulled further towards the ledge. That's when I realized the only way, I could get out of this. Drown him. I lean back onto the Trandoshan which sends the both of us flying off the cliff.

"AURORA!" Jinx called out in horror as we both collide into the water below.

While we were falling the Trandoshan released his grip on me allowing me to free myself from his grasp, however, he didn't die that easily when we hit the water. We were both underwater when he grabbed the knife from his hand and threw it at my right lower calf. I screamed in pain, but my scream was muffled since I was underwater. I immediately grabbed the knife out of my left and stabbed the Trandoshan in the neck. As I saw the blood rush out of his neck, I then saw something swimming toward us quickly. My eyes widened in horror, and I quickly grabbed the blade from his neck and immediately started to swim away, even though my leg was aching in pain. I swam up towards the surface and gasped for air once my head came up out of the water. That's when I realized what the being was that attacked the Trandoshan…a Frist shark, which are native to Trandosha, and are a carnivorous species, hence why the shark is eating a live being. I weakly swim towards the beach, but at the same time, as fast as I can be due to the injury to my right leg. Once I reach the beach, I see Jinx standing along the shore, who comes running into the sea to help pull me out of the water.

"Aurora!" He said with worry. "Are you alright."
I coughed and nodded but pointed to my right leg.

He nodded before helping me up into a standing position. "Come on, let's get back to the others."

He helped me walk back to the cave with the others, and once we reached the cave, Kalifa, O-Mer, and Ahsoka all jumped when they saw me.

"RO!" Ahsoka exclaimed in horror when she saw me and I practically collapsed in her arms, both from exhaustion and blood loss.

"What happened?" O-Mer asked.

"We were ambushed by Trandoshans. She fell into the water." Jinx explained as Ahsoka put pressure on my wound making me hiss in pain.

"He's dead though, my attacker I mean." I practically whispered. "He was killed by a Frist shark."

"Was that how you got injured?" Kalifa asked.

I shook my head. "I wish, the bastard stabbed me…but I know how we're getting out of this place."

"How?" They all asked in confusion.

"Their ship." I explained.

"Yeah, what about it?" Jinx asked in confusion.

"That's their fortress. We get in the ship; we get out of here. In other words, we need to take the ship."

"Ro, we are without weapons, no backup or reinforcements and we have no way of calling for them. We can't do it." Ahsoka said with a sigh.

"You're all Jedi, yes?" I asked and they all nod.

"I want you to use your tiny little brains and think for a second." I began. "What is one weapon, that all of us possess, that's not really a weapon, but it can be?"

They all were silent. I rolled my eyes.

"The force you idiots!" I said in annoyance.

Ahsoka shook her head. "No, using the force for violence is not the Jedi way."

I looked to Ahsoka. "Ahsoka, if Obi-Wan were here what would he tell you?"

"That I should've kept my lightsaber next to me?" She asked in confusion.

"Well…yes, but what else?" I asked.

"To scope out my surroundings?" She asked and I put a palm to my forehead.

"Yes, but what he would say, is that you need to listen to your supervising officer, even though you and Anakin neither do it, but right now I am your supervising officer. And as your supervising officer, I'm telling you to stop being a Jedi for two seconds and start learning how to stay alive." I explained.

"Ro, I can't." She said with a sigh.

I nodded as I stood up slowly, using the walls of the cave as support. "Yes, you can, if I'm doing it with one good leg, you can do it with two."

I looked to the other three. "We leave here right before dawn, and head into the jungle. We wait for their ship to come overhead so we can scout when it mainly stays, then we can format our plan on getting out of here alive."

"All of us?" Kalifa asked in shock.

I smiled and nodded. "All of us."

Just a reminder to all of my readers/followers/viewers, if you have an idea, let me know and I can see if I can incorperate it into the story.
