Her maternal grandparents bullied her paternal grandparents to take her and hid Midnight's pregnancy while she recovered and bribed doctors to tell her father that Midnight died giving birth while Midnight was told her child was stillborn. She was raised in America by her father and eventual stepmother, Mysa Devi. She lived a normal life until her father and stepmother were murdered by her father's nemesis, a Villain named Pyromaniac, whose attack left Marie blind. After her parent's funeral Marie and Midnight learned of their relation, and Marie and her half-brother Joseph Jerome Freeman Jr. aka Joey, were adopted by her and taken to U.A. Physical Appearance: Marie looks very similar to her mother except for her darker skin, fuller lips and shorter nose as well as possessing wolf ears on top of her head and a wolf tail. She is quite muscular with a Mixed Martial Artist's build.

They would later befriend Marcus Gordon, Samuel Sanchez, and Lilith O'Connor. Due to all of their Quirks being monster related, the five started calling themselves 'The Frightening Five', hoping to be a Horror Hero Team together. After Marie left for U.A., Francesca, Marcus, Samuel and Lilith formed 'The Frightening Four' after graduating from Rogers and Stark Hero High School, where they quickly became a popular team in the city of Charleston, South Carolina, especially before Halloween.
Physical Appearance: Francesca has light green skin and the large forehead of her Quirk's namesake, and her tall body is lean yet muscular.

His dreams seemed to be answered when he met Marie Freeman and Francesca Steinhaur in Middle School along with Lilith O'Connor and formed 'The Frightening Five' at Rogers and Stark Hero High. He flirts with many attractive girls and is sometimes successful, sometimes not, despite his Quirk which gives him a removable flaming jack o' lantern head. He acts as the leader of 'The Frightening Four', later 'Frightening Five'.
Physical Appearance: Marcus appears as a lean but fit African-American man from the neck down, and has a flaming jack o' lantern head that he can remove and throw at opponents, though it takes an hour for his head to grow back afterwards.

Character Bio: Samuel Sanchez, aka Sammy, was often a popular boy in school due to his good looks and charming personality, but his best friend was always Marcus Gordon since they met in Elementary School. When the boys met Marie Freeman, Francesca Steinhaur, and Lilith O'Connor, they met kindred souls who would form a team with them to battle evil as Horror Heroes. Marie and Sammy would become boyfriend and girlfriend and even share their first time with each other, although they later broke up upon realizing they were better as friends. After graduating Rogers and Stark Hero High School and forming 'The Frightening Four' with his friends, Sammy has dated many girls and several men and acted as a general media liaison for the team.
Physical Appearance: A handsome man of Mexican heritage with long black hair he keeps in a ponytail. His Quirk gives him green scaly skin and four arms with a snake's tail where one's legs usually are.

After Graduating from Rogers and Stark Hero High, her friends, except for Marie who was in Japan, formed 'The Frightening Four', where she often handles the business side of being a Hero.

Character Bio: Joseph Jerome Freeman Jr., aka Joey, was the son of Joseph Jerome Freeman Sr. aka the Hero Wolfheart and his wife Mysa Devi. Joey was a bright young boy who looked up to his Hero father and Hero in training half-sister, Marie Freeman, hoping to one day be a doctor. Tragically, his parents were murdered by his father's nemesis, a Villain named Pyromaniac who also blinded his sister. They were adopted by Kayama Nemuri where they learned to live in Japan. Joey eventually adjusted to his new life and rededicated himself to becoming a Hero in honor of his father.
Physical Appearance: Joey is a tall, lean muscular boy with a handsome face, dark skin, white hair and yellow eyes. When using Wolfman he turns into a white furred wolf man like the 1941 film monster.

She befriended Joseph Freeman Jr., Yamato Rukia, and Higashikata Jougo in Elementary School, and the four of them have been inseparable since then.
Physical Appearance: Eri is a cute, average sized girl who prefers her long white hair in ponytails or pigtails and often wears modest clothes that hide the scars she was given by her tormenter Chisaki Kai, aka Overhaul. She has one long horn on the right side of her forehead that shrinks if she overuses her Quirk.

Jougo and his parents were saved my Joey's older sister Marie, and learned that Jougo's mother was pregnant with what would later turn out to be his younger sister, named Marie in their rescuer's honor. Ever since then, Jougo has strived to be as great a Hero as Marie and to be a good big brother to his little sister.
Physical Appearance: Jougo is an average sized teenage boy with purple hair and pink eyes.

Toshiro's life changed forever when his father was killed during the rampage of Gigantomachia, leaving his then pregnant mother destitute as she had to pay Toshiro's medical bills and take care of his younger brother when he was born at the same time. Due to this Toshiro grew up in poverty, and hopes that by becoming a Hero he can help his mother and younger brother.

Her Quirk manifested when she was 12 years old and she was almost assaulted by high school boys, only for her Quirk to take control of them, she was inspired by the examples of Midnight and Mindbender to be a Hero.
