Today sucks. I'll tell you why. William. I'm turning 15 tomorrow, finally, and he tells me that he and mum are going to Japan for the week. They left five hours ago. Did I ever mention how much I dislike him?

Another reason today sucked, was because of Mrs. Wormwood. Because of her negativity, Luke's been feeling down and doubting himself because of her. What kind of mother is she? An awful one. I'm getting off topic again. Allow me to explain what happened from the moment I woke up.

Beep, Beep. My alarm was buzzing in my ear. I need to remember to change it. I groaned and rolled out of bed. I was freezing! I mean, it's February, in England. I shrugged my dressing gown on and grabbed my history book. As I trudged down stairs, I noticed suitcases by the door. That's odd. We're not going anywhere. At least, I don't think so. "Morning!" I called, walking into the kitchen. Just mum. "Ah, good morning, Asha, dear." Mum said, rushing around. I was used to this. She works at the hospital, so she's usually busy. I sat down, opened my history book and began reading. Mum placed a plate of bacon and toast in front of me. I looked up. "Mum, I'm still veggie." I reminded her. "Oops, sorry dear." She put the plate in William's seat and gave me a peanut butter sandwich. "Thanks mum." I said, going back to my book.

Five minuets later, William barged in. "Morning Aio." I ignored him as usual until my mum said my name. "Asha, You'll be staying with the Chandra's for the next few weeks." That threw me off. "Why?" I demanded. Don't get me wrong, I love the Chandra's. I have literally slept over after an argument so many times that they literally have my air bed out in the corner of Rani's room waiting for me. "William and I need to go to Japan for a while for a conference." I was not happy. "It's my birthday tomorrow, and you think it's fine to just leave when I'm about to turn 15?!" I ran upstairs, grabbed my bag, shoved more clothes in, and ran over to the Chandra's.

"Morning Gita, Haresh, Rani." I said, walking up to Rani's room. "Morning Asha!" Rani called, running to help put my bag away.

After lunch, I went over to the Smith's house. "Hello!" I yelled as I entered. "Afternoon Ash. Luke's outside." Sarah Jane said, giving me a hug. I grinned and ran outside.

"Hey Asha." A sad looking Luke said as I sat across from him on the grass. "Are you alright?" I asked. "Maybe?" he said, more like questioned. "What's wrong?" I asked, hoping that he trusted me enough to tell me. "Am I not learning right?" I was shocked at his question. "You're learning all you can! You're the smartest person at school! I'll go as far as I've ever met!" I ranted, hoping that he would get the message. He smiled a little. "Thanks Ash." I smiled, glad to help. "You may not understand how to deal with certain situations like a normal person, but that's because you didn't grow up as a normal person. You never had the chance to experience what others do, but you still try. That's learning." I continued.

He looked at me. "What's bothering you?" he asked. I smiled sadly. "You know tomorrow's my birthday, right?" I asked, knowing that my problem wasn't as big as his but still sad about it. "Uh huh." he nodded, confused. "Mum and William left to Japan for the next few weeks." Luke was shocked. It showed on his face. "They're not staying for your birthday?" he demanded. "Nope. Mum said something about a conference. It's fine though, there's still next year." I said, trying to not let it show how much it bothers me. Luke pulled me in for a hug and whispered into my hair. "That means we'll make tomorrow even more busy so that you'll not even realize." That made me happy. I hugged him back. "Thanks Luke."
