He started laughing. "Right… Shou Tucker as a hero! That'll be the day." He chuckled as he looked through the universes until something caught his eye. "Oooooh… now this is a good one!"

He looked up. "Jade, Nyx, Xena and Yagami. What do they all have in common? If you guessed "Pokemon", then you are correct! But one of them doesn't have a Pokemon… can you guess who? That's right… Iris doesn't have one! So, with that in mind…"

What If… Iris Caught a Pokemon?

"It's about time she catches one!"

BGM: Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story plus Bowser Jr's Journey)

"Hmm…" Iris lay on her back on the couch, looking through her scroll as she turned her head and saw Xena and Yagami playing with their Pokemon, she looked to the side to see Jade cuddling with Pikaboo, and looked outside to see Nyx giving her Moltres a shower, where it let out a happy cry.

She then saw Futaba and Rantaro petting Spooks.

I'm the only one who doesn't have one… Iris thought to herself as she closed her eyes. What Pokemon would I want?

She looked through her scroll and spotted something that caught her attention.

"A strange Salamence has been spotted in Vacuo and is terrorizing a town. No one is brave enough to get close to it."

"...Perfect!" Iris said as she sat up right as Nyx walked in. "Hey guys!"

"What's up?" Jade asked.

"I want to catch a Pokemon."

"Wait… really?" Nyx asked with a hint of excitement in her voice.

"Yeah, I think it's time that I caught one." Iris smiled.

"Alriiiiight! So what are you thinking about? Like a low leveled one, a badass one… what's on your mind?" Xena asked.

"I'm thinking of… this bad boy." Iris showed it off.

"A Salamence?" Futaba wondered. "...Kinda looks like it's Mega Evolved."

"Looks a bit off to be considered Mega Evolved… I think." Jade said.

"Well, whatever the case… I want it." Iris said.

"So we're heading for Vacuo to get it… seems like a long way." Rantaro said.

"Not to worry, we have resources." Nyx said and looked up. "Hey Palutena, think you could give us a lift to Vacuo?"

"Sure thing!" Palutena smiled, as they were all whisked away to Vacuo.

Once they arrived at Vacuo, Rantaro stumbled a little. "Whoa… that was… something!"

"You'll get used to it." Nyx said as they walked around. "Let's see… now where could that Salamence be…"

"I'm just gonna say it… I'm surprised that you want a Salamence. Not that it's because you want it because it seems fitting for a gal like you, but… really? I thought you'd go for a Bagon that would turn into a Salamence later." Yagami pointed out.

"Why wait for a little guy to evolve when you could go for sheer raw power right from the get go?" Iris smiled, causing the twins to raise eyebrows and looked at each other.

"Well, I suppose that works…" Nyx shrugged.

"Totally." Jade nodded as they kept walking around Vacuo until they heard a roar, where they looked up and saw the Salamence flying toward them before it stopped and looked at them.

…Except that this wasn't just any Salamence.

It was Roaring Moon.

"SALA!"

BGM: Wild Battle ~ Area Zero (Pokemon Scarlet/Violet)

"That doesn't look like a normal Mega Evolved Salamence!" Futaba said.

Iris looked at her friends. "Sooooo… you guys gonna weaken this big guy or what?"

"Oh! Right." Nyx nodded as they called out their Pokemon while Iris took a step back and watched with Rantaro.

Roaring Moon unleashed Dragon Breath at them, but Moltres used Fiery Wrath to counter it as Screamy jumped up and used Aqua Tail, while Swampy used Poison Jab on Roaring Moon.

Roaring Moon snarled, using Scary Face on them… only for Pikaboo to pull out a mirror to reflect it back, lowering the speed on Roaring Moon instead. It was then hit by a Shadow Ball from Pikaboo.

"Alright, Spooks, hit it with a Play Rough!" Futaba ordered.

"Wooof!" Houndstone jumped toward Roaring Moon but it flew up to avoid it and then responded with a Dragon Dance/Dragon Rush combo, hitting Houndstone and knocking him back… and then a bubble hit Roaring Moon, causing it to get sleepy.

"Quaaaag!" Screamy cheered.

"That's my boy!" Xena fist pumped.

Jade and Futaba looked at each other, smirking with a nod and turned to their Pokemon as Roaring Moon was struggling. "Play Rough!" They both commanded as both of their Pokemon charged ahead and proceeded to clobber Roaring Moon in the process.

Nyx tossed Iris an Ultra Ball. "Quick, use this!"

"Right!" Iris nodded as she aimed and threw the ball, striking Roaring Moon on the head, capturing it as it landed on the ground.

One shake.

Two shakes.

Three shakes.

Click!

"Nice!" Iris smirked as she walked over to it and picked it up. "I got my own Pokemon!"

"Awesome! Now we got one for everyone! …Well, unless Rantaro wants one." Nyx said.

"Nah, I'm good."

"Okay, let me just contact Chiaki… because I'm curious about this particular Salamence. Maybe it's a regional form and-"

"Alright, the moment's passed. Got it out of my system." Iris interrupted Futaba as she released Roaring Moon, handing it an Oran Berry to perk it back up. Roaring Moon nodded at Iris and then flew off.

"HUH?!" Everyone yelled as even their Pokemon looked shocked.

"What?" Iris smiled innocently. "I said I'd catch a Pokemon, I never said anything about wanting to own one." She giggled as she walked off. "You should see the looks on your faces, it's hysterical! Anyway, I'm hungry. You think the town has a Shy Guy Buffet?"

"WHAT THE HELL, IRIS?!" Nyx yelled.

"Ha! Got ya good, didn't I?" Hades smirked. "Do you even know what today is? Yeah, exactly! Got ya!"

April Fools!

Ibuki: *cackling* Ooooh, okay! That one got Ibuki!

Deadpool: Ha! I didn't fall for that at all!
