Chapter 31:
The Empress and Her Eyes

When I woke up the next day, I hurriedly told Alek that I would be off for a bit and rushed out of the inn before he could ask any questions.

"Heya! Give me a bunch of those!" I said, still groggy from having woken up so early.

I had just arrived at the town harbor, where most of the streets were lined with stalls and shops. But now, a calm silence permeated the street; most likely because of how early it was. There were only a few stalls open, drawing the attention of many hungry customers.

"You've got to elaborate, kid. I've got a lot of things."

"Err, whatever is easiest to carry!" I exclaimed

After giving me a strange look, the man picked out a handful of various seafood skewers and handed them to me. I went from stall to stall trying to pick out the foods that were easy to carry and looked tasty. I hadn't had breakfast, after all. I wanted to get enough for both whatever Mister Man-God planned for me and for me to eat something.

…But isn't this just me being a puppet?

The thought stopped me in my tracks. I was more or less following what Mister Man-God commanded me to do without considering it. Should I be more distrustful?

Sure, the Man-God had implied that things would have played out much more differently if I hadn't followed his advice. And on some level, I agreed with that. I know now that Alek was simply going to leave me if I hadn't requested help from him. The same goes for Ares's situation as well. There was just no way I'd ever happen upon the place he was being held captive purely by coincidence. But the fact remained that beneath Mister Man-God's every word, there was an undeniable undertone of an ulterior motive.

"Hey kid, you gonna order or not? You're holding up the line."

"Ah! Sorry about that," I stammered out.

Hmm. Maybe I shouldn't think about it too hard for now.

The back alleys were nothing like what I was expecting. There were no secret meetings, no whispering gang members getting up to anything nefarious. If anything, there were just a bunch of young adults going about their daily lives and using the pathways to get to their destination.

I hummed to myself as I walked under an arch and continued down on my way. After walking for several minutes, I grew tired of roaming around aimlessly and munching on street food. Just then, I heard the sound of someone running behind me. An attack? From who?

I whipped around to see the all-too-familiar hair color I'd seen many times prior. Or, at least a flash of it. Someone had rushed through the road behind me, dipping into another alleyway perpendicular to the one I was on. Whoever that hair belonged to, it was a Migurd–I could tell that much. I'd never seen that particular shade of blue in this world anywhere but their distinctive hair color. From what I knew, Migurds seldom left their tribal villages unless unfortunate circumstances arose–such as a monster attack.

So then what was a Migurd doing all the way out here? I rushed over to the alleyway that the Migurd had rushed into, only to find two people engaged in an interaction. The Migurd was nowhere to be seen, but I quickly tucked that thought in the back of my head as my mind registered the scene unfolding before me.

"Hehehe… Little girl, if you come with me, I'll give you all the treats you'll ever want," a gruff-looking man said greedily.

I lowered my eyebrows. So it's one of these cliques, huh? Saving a hungry-looking girl wrapped up with some stranger promising treats?

Ah, this isn't some anime! Snap out of it!

The two of them hadn't even noticed me yet, so I decided to ready my staff to try to take the man by surprise. I channeled mana into my staff, shaping a weak Paralysis spell in my head. I had to do that as a precaution since the full brunt of the spell could probably stop the heart of anyone whose guard was lowered. If I had to compare the current strength of the spell to the ranking system of Offensive Magic, it'd be somewhere about a high advanced-tier spell. That was just an assumption based on the fact that I could just barely manage to paralyze an A-rank monster with all my might.

I shot it off at the unsuspecting man's back, stopping him in his tracks. Once that was done, I cast a simple offensive spell to knock the wind out of him. He flopped to the ground, slumping against a wall after I released my Paralysis off of him. After I approached him and kneeled to confirm that he still had a pulse, I stepped over to the young lady.

"Err, are you okay?" I asked, offering a hand to the girl.

"Y-yeah…" Her response incited me to note her rather outrageous appearance. She was clad in an outfit made out of what looked to be leather; consisting of knee-high boots, hot pants, and a skimpy tube top. Her clothes revealed the pale skin of her midriff, collarbone, and modest thighs. As if that wasn't stupidly absurd enough, she had goat horns sticking out like a sore thumb on either side of her head and vibrant purple hair to go along with them.

This was somehow, absolutely, certainly, a succubus. I subconsciously pinched my nose shut.

Ah, but wait. Succubi don't live on this continent, otherwise, Ares would've pounced on one of them by now. Ah, but maybe they just live by the coast? Why would they be in a densely populated place like this though? Wouldn't it just be more convenient to force themselves onto isolated adventurers? Plus, monsters aren't even allowed in any city aside from transport ones.

My pondering was abruptly shattered as the young succubus(?) lashed out at me.

"W-what have you done?! That man was about to give me, a starving young lady, some piping hot treats!" she cried out, jumping up and down in protest.

"Hah? Don't you have any common sense? That man had no intention of giving you food without anything in return," I replied, incredulous at the girl's naivety.

"Common sense?" the girl spoke, holding her stomach as if it were to fall out if she let go of it. "No phrase that you youngsters make up will provide me with a meal~!" Her knees buckled and she dropped to the ground.

"Guh… it's been so long since I've been revived. Passing out in a place like this is absolutely absurd. If Laplace hears about this…"

Eh? I feel like I'm in some sort of comedy routine. But Laplace? I haven't heard that name in a good while.

"You know, you're quite imperceptive. I have a bunch of food in my hands, you know?" I spoke, waving a few meat skewers around in my hand.

"H-Huh? Oh, you're right! Thank you so much, little girl!" She said, swiping a few skewers of meat I had out of my hands.

Little girl? You're one to talk about being little…

She enthusiastically munched on the food with a look of pure bliss plastered on her face.

"Oh, it's delicious!" She squealed, devouring the rest of the skewers I had given her. "Who would've thought my first meal in several years would be so tasty!"

"Several years? Aren't you exaggerating a bit too much?" No matter how you put it, that wasn't even close to being realistic. Just why did Mister Man-God need me to save such a strange girl?

"Well, I didn't have any precise way to measure the time, but that's probably a good estimate!" She declared.

As I thought. That 'several years' bit was probably more like a day or two.

"Hmm? There's something a bit off about you, little girl," she spoke, creeping up to me and stretching her eyes open. I noticed that she had mismatched irises–a unique trait I hadn't seen in this world before.

I recoiled back in surprise as her right eye rolled back into her socket and one with a deep blue iris replaced it.

"Jeez! What's up with you, little girl?! You're positively disgusting! Just what is this?! What is it?! I've never seen something so gross in my life! Ahahahaa!" she shrieked with an odd bit of excitement in her eyes.

No, what's up with you?! How was I the gross one when she quite literally rolled her eye back into her head? And just what about me was so supposedly disgusting? "Did your parents not teach you to be respectful to others? That was way out of pocket, Miss Succubus."

"Little girl, I'm certain you would have the exact same reaction if you could see what I'm seeing! Your mana pool… It's so distorted! And nothing like I've ever seen before!"

My mana pool is… distorted? What's that even supposed to mean?

"Ah, whatever! Introductions are in order, don't you think? What's your name, little girl?" She questioned, getting up and personal with me. She got up on her tiptoes to peer up at me intently.

"Lumina Greyrat," I stated, gingerly stepping backward.

"Such a strange name! Fitting for someone as sickening as you!" She belted out. My eyebrow twitched.

Hm. Something about the way she talks to me ticks me off. I sure wonder why that is.

"Very well! My name is… Kishirika Kishirisu… Great Emperor… of the Demon World!" She announced, striking a total of 4 poses in between the pauses of her declaration.

"You're the one with the strange name, you know?" I muttered.

"So discourteous! But also prudent! I like it! Ahahahahaa!" She cackled at me.

Kishirika? I'd heard that name before… ah! Alek mentioned her once or twice during one of his spiels. According to him, she was of the same race as him: an Immortal Demon. She was the same Empress who erected the massive castle in the heart of Rikarisu. She was apparently supposed to have been something along the lines of a war general back during the Great Human-Demon War several centuries ago. Even with all of her haughtiness and apparent pride, she met a crushing defeat at the hands of humanity's strongest knight. I wondered what would happen if she and Alek were to meet—should she be telling the truth, of course.

She certainly checks off a few boxes… I mean, Mister Man-God's advice led me to her, if that lends her any credibility. But, there are just too many unknowns here. Why would a war-hardened ex-empress be in the back alleyway of this town, the opposite side of the continent to where her city, Rikarisu, is?

Hm… Could she be one of those people? I vaguely recalled the very first time I saw my father practicing his sword swings–back then, I wondered why he'd go as far as to role-play. Now that I knew better, I figured that this world was already full of opportunities to be an accentuated person. The thought brought up Alek's hero-like attitude back when I first met him, a stoic and blunt way of speaking. Like the way he declared that Ares wasn't training under the 'true North God style," and whatnot. He had mellowed out over time, letting more of his true personality show–an immature and lively guy who tried his best to accommodate our needs. This girl seemed to have an extremely out-there personality, so why did she want to play a character?

Hm. Maybe she genuinely is the real deal. But there's a way to go about ascertaining that, especially with these types.

"Hmm? Great Emperor of the Demon World, you say?" I began, a smug smile forming on my face.

"Mhm! You got it!"

"Well, miss. You don't look all that 'Great' to me," I spoke.

"Wuh?!" she exclaimed.

"I find it hard to believe that such an awe-inspiring and historical figure would be huddled away in a back alleyway being harassed by a lolicon," I spoke, trying to egg her on.

If she was the real deal, she'd surely do anything in her power to prove me wrong. And if she wasn't, well, this conversation would take an amusing turn. Well, more than it already has.

"You're a fool! How could you say such a thing to me?! If I still had my castle knights, you'd surely be executed for saying something so disrespectful!"

"Why don't you prove it to me, miss 'Empress,'" I continued, dutily noting that my efforts were starting to bear fruit.

"You'll see! Name something you want desperately, and I'll get it to you. Think of it as a reward for helping me out!" she declared, confidently slapping her hands onto her hips.

Something I want desperately? Well, that's not a hard question by any means.

"I'd like for my party and I to be teleported to the Fittoa Region of the Asura Kingdom," I said. Of course, this wasn't realistic in the slightest; I just wanted to gauge her reaction to my impossible request. While I said it half-jokingly, what I didn't expect was for the little girl to seemingly give it some serious thought.

"Hm… teleportation… Maybe the circles? Augh, but Atofe said they all got dismantled…" After several moments of more consideration, she sighed in disappointment. "I'm sorry, you're going to have to pick something else!"

"Right. Then… how about some amazing magical equipment that could enhance my magical power to the point of King rank?" I requested.

"Tsk. I might've been able to fulfill that one if my treasury wasn't emptied in the time it took me to revive. Pick again!" She commanded.

She's dodging all of these. Maybe I should just cut the act? I'll give Mister Man-God a piece of my mind the next time I see him. 'My advice will someday save your butt' my ass!

"Then just what can you do?" I questioned, huffing in exasperation.

"Foolish girl! I'm none other than Kishirika Kishirisu, the Great Empress of Demon Eyes! That title was given to me by my loyal subjects who received my blessing, the power of a Demon Eye!" she proclaimed.

You couldn't blame me for being uninformed about this world's heroic mythology. The vast majority of my knowledge of this world's history came from that single day poring over books in the Roa Manor. But, digressions aside, Demon Eyes were an interesting prospect. On that topic, didn't Ghislaine–the swordsman beast lady–have one of those?

"By Demon Eyes do you mean a magic circle etched into my soul via a contract that, upon activation, will summon a demonic butler to do my bidding?"

"What a strangely specific power! But no, I've never heard of something like that before. And I know lots of things, of course!" she spoke, refuting my ideas.

Riiight.

"To be frank, I'm not well-versed in what exactly these Demon Eyes are supposed to be, exactly," I said. "So I'd appreciate a little explanation."

"No matter! You couldn't have asked any better person for it!"

"It'd take a few more decades for me to amass any significant Demon Eyes, but I can divulge the ones I have on hand now. I have the Eyes of Identification, Eyes of X-ray vision, Eyes of Distant Sight, Eyes of Foresight, Eyes of Absorption, and the Eyes of Indication."

Names don't explain anything, you know? "Could you go a little more in-depth than that?"

"You don't already know? Just how much did the time before my revival affect the brilliant youth?" she spat out. Despite her qualms with my lack of knowledge, she elaborated on the Demon Eyes.

"First off, you have Eyes of Identification. With these, you can identify and learn details about any object you are directly looking at. There's a bit of a catch, though. Any information that I don't know personally will show up as 'unknown,'" she continued.

"How convenient." I was honestly already a fan of this one, but I figured that I ought to listen to the full explanation to choose out of the bunch.

"Eyes of X-Ray Vision. These allow you to see through anything that isn't living creatures or high mana concentrations; for example, clothes. Although, I wouldn't recommend these to you. A girl like you shouldn't have much use for them."

"What's that supposed to mean?!" A girl can have her hobbies, you know?

She ignored my comment and continued. "Eyes of Distant Sight. These eyes allow you to see from great distances, albeit with some difficulty focusing on things. If I had Eyes of Clairvoyance, I'd advocate for those instead."

"Doesn't sound too useful," I spoke.

"Eyes of Foresight. Equipped with these, you could be able to see things that will happen in your line of sight moments into the future. These are arguably the hardest to get used to, but I'd recommend them."

"The prime minister's bodyguards would love to have those."

"The Eyes of Absorption can suck up and consume any mana. Although, seeing as you carry that staff with you, you might not want these. They suck up the mana that you use as well."

"A magician's worst nightmare, I see."

"And lastly, the Eyes of Indication. These eyes can see traces of mana left behind by either spells, creatures, or humans! If they are made by humans or other races, these traces can be differentiated by person. It's great for detectives, but I'm not sure you'd want such a power unless you were searching for someone."

"Hm…"

This Kishirika seemed quite knowledgeable about these things. Maybe she was a scholar-to-be? In the Demon Continent, that didn't seem quite likely.

"Alright, I'll take two of those, one for each eye," I stated.

"Two right off the bat? You're greedier than you look, little girl," she said, grinning. "I'm all for giving you two of them, but I'd strongly advise against going through with such a thing."

"Why's that?"

"Well, for starters, you wouldn't want to be using them constantly. Most people cover their Demon Eyes with an eyepatch, meaning you'd be left blind with two of them."

"Also, someone who's lived maybe a few centuries would be able to live comfortably with two of them. A child like you would certainly lose your mind if you were to try it."
Lose my mind? I've got things to be doing, so that's not an option. Although, if she was willing to give me two…

"Then, would you be willing to split the reward between me and my party member? One eye for each of us?" I asked.

"Hm…" she squinted her eyes in consideration.

"C'mon. I'll give you another skewer! Maybe I'll even throw in a biscuit as a consolation prize," I negotiated skillfully, holding out the food I had promised.

"You've got a deal!" She took my food with a wide grin painted on her face.

"Yaay! Nom, nom. We'll discuss what eye this party member of yours receives later, but have you made your decision yet? Which one will it be?" she asked.

An eye for myself, huh? I was just playing around at this point, but if I were to obtain one, what would I pick? For one, I didn't need to identify anything I saw. If I truly didn't know what it was, I could just ask Alek. Plus, anything that the Great Demon Emperor didn't know would draw a blank. When I pictured the eye failing with something I desperately needed it to work on, I crossed it out mentally.

The Eye of X-ray vision wasn't all that appealing, either. What was I going to do with that, peer down Ares's pants?

I felt my cheeks involuntary flush at the prospect of doing that. Ahem, niceties aside, it wasn't going to be very useful in practice.

The Eye of Distant Sight sounded quite underwhelming considering the downsides it held. Even without it, I could pretty much accurately guess what Alek and Ares were up to most of the time. Whether it be eating, hanging out, or training, I didn't really need a Demon Eye to confirm it.

The Eye of Foresight seemed a lot better than the other selections. If I were a swordsman, I could see the practical advantages it would bring me. However, I'm more of a long-range mage in the first place. My Curse Magic made me more likely to hang in the back instead of the front of a formation, seeing as the range for my attacks was now up to a breezy 25 meters. I could see Ares snatching one right up, but they weren't up my alley.

The Eye of Absorption didn't even need to be elaborated on. They were not fit for any magician at all.

The Eye of Indication seemed a bit more interesting. It was by far the most open-ended one that she presented. This seemed like it could visualize mana flow and mana that had long since dissipated, being imperceptible by the naked eye. On top of that, I could distinguish the mana flow of any person from one another, meaning I could be able to track anyone down if I wanted to.

Well, maybe I shouldn't think about it too hard. I was giving this an odd amount of consideration to what probably is a meaningless venture.

"Alright, then. I'd like the Eye of Indication," I informed her.

"Disregarding my recommendation, I see. Wouldn't be the first time, but it's still rude!" She wrapped her arms around herself and pouted.
"I'm on a long journey, you know? It would be helpful to have such a power just in case. Plus, all of the other ones aren't my fancy or are just downright terrible for me," I explained, trying not to injure the sulking girl's feelings any further.

"Alright, alright. Let me see your face real fast…"

"Sure."

Squeelch! The girl plunged her fingers into my right eye socket. It took a moment for the pain to register, but when it did, it was hell.

"GYAAAAAAA! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOU DAMNED BRAT?!" I grabbed onto the girl's horns and tried to rip them out to get her to stop. It was all in vain, of course. It hurts! Make it stop! I'm begging you!

"Jeez, that's what they all say. Personally, I think all this screaming is a bit much, don't you think? I'm only replacing your iris directly, ya know?" She said while wiggling her fingers in my eye socket as if playing around with it. I could feel the tissue being mercilessly ripped apart and scraped into, the onslaught of my body-rocking pain continuing. After she pulled something out of my eye like a yolk being stretched out of its egg, I was left completely blind in one eye.

Will I even be able to fix this with my healing magic? If I was left permanently half-blind, I'd lose my mind!

As soon as she finished with her torture, I rolled around on the floor clutching my now-blind eye with as much pressure as I could without hurting myself more—hopefully reducing the amount of blood loss.

"There's a fine line between playing around and straight up trying to kill someone! Pulling out my iris is crossing it, if you couldn't tell!" I yelled at the girl.

"Oh come on, don't be so dramatic. I bet it doesn't even hurt anymore, aside from maybe a bit of soreness," she waved me off.

"You little—oh, what?" I paused the moment I fluttered open my eyes, perplexed as to why I could see. Well, there was a bit more to it than that. I could see, though there were deep, golden-yellow but faint streaks of light littered all over my vision. I could barely make out Kishirika in the midst of all of it. There were several symbols ethereally floating around these streaks, some of which I recognized as words written(?) in the Demon God tongue. It was nauseating.

"The aquamarine iris of the Demon Eye of Indication stands out a little, but it should be fine from afar. Also, depending on how much mana you supply it, you can make the mana traces as thin or faint as you want. It might take a bit to learn, but do your best!"
"Those words of encouragement are really weak coming from someone who stuck their fingers into my eye just now," I muttered, covering my right eye with a hand.

"So, tell me! How does it look? Can you see the streaks? The symbols?!" She questioned enthusiastically.

"Yes, I can see all of them," I grumbled. "But it's hard to keep it open with the streaks blinding me all the time."

"Good, good! So you can see them! Well, if you're finished with all of those theatrics, let's be on our way to see that party member of yours! And if you would, tell him to choose quickly. I've got to look for my fiancée!" she announced.

"Sure, sure," I said. I could navigate a bit easier with my right eye shut, but I still had that lingering sense of nausea and disorientation ever-present. I stumbled forward in the vague direction of the exit of the back alleys, and Kishirika followed right alongside me.

"I guess you really are the Great Emperor…" I murmured under my breath.

"Of course! People around here wouldn't dare impersonate me! I'm the Great Emperor of the Demon World, after all!" She proclaimed, reaching up to pat me on the back.

"Yeah. I know."

And so, I obtained the Eye of Indication.

A demon eye, huh?

I was glad I had finally figured out just why Mister Man-God wanted me to save this girl, but I was not a fan of the pain and suffering that the revelation came with. I figured I was supposed to train myself to use the eye masterfully, but I was in no state to do something like that right now. I just wanted to hole myself in a dark room with no access to sunlight and far away from people.

However, nothing ever goes the way I want it to. For the most part, at least.

While the physical pain subsided, the mental strain the eye was putting on me had not budged. I couldn't help but have to beg Kishirika to give me a break. I doubled forward and tried my absolute best not to vomit on the streets.

Kishirika slapped my back and said, "Luminous! You're an incantationless spellcaster, right?"

"Urg… It's Lumina. And how did you know that?" I squeaked out, holding my gut with both hands.

"It's obvious that I'd know. You blew away my would-be savior without saying a word," she rattled off.

So she's observant enough to know that, yet she can't see food that's right in front of her? Funny how that works…

"Hmm. What's that got to do with anything?" I muttered, regaining some of my composure.

"If you can do that, that means you have an advanced level of control over your mana. Even back in my castle, I only had a handful of incantationless spellcasters. Count yourself lucky you were born into such a gross body!" she spoke in a tone that could have almost been interpreted as taunting.

"…What's your point?" I muttered, covering my right eye and continuing.

"My point is, since you can cast silently, you could probably get the hang of that eye of yours. Just try it out! Try to decrease the amount of mana supplied to your eye," Kishirika advised.

Finally, some useful advice.

I tried to focus on the flow of mana inside of my body. I had a vague sense of my mana at all times, but it was never noteworthy unless I shifted all of my attention to it. I attempted to divert the magical power that was flooding my newly acquired Demon Eye away from it. When I did that, my vision cleared up somewhat. The previously bright golden traces of mana were now transparent and outlined by a dull gray. The symbols that cluttered up my vision simplified themselves into one or two characters.

A set of symbols that read "Sayon Bryridia of the Bryrr Tribe" would be shortened to a singular one that read "Bryrr" once simplified. That led me to believe that the symbols were actually names that corresponded with the mana trace closest to it—acting like a mana signature of sorts. This had to be the eye's main use. With this, I could probably figure out who that Migurd was back in that alleyway. I mentally noted it down.

There was one more thing to it. I tried focusing more mana into the eye, hoping for something new to pop up. It was a success, although it came with a major downside. If I poured more mana into the eye, a second set of symbols appeared below the mana signature. These only showed up on the traces I was looking at directly and seemed to accurately measure how long it had been since the mana trace was originally released. That was the gist of what I had discovered so far—aside from one thing. Activating the 'clock' feature of the eye brought on a massive migraine that prevented me from experimenting any further. I swayed left and right while walking, and I didn't manage to catch myself before I bumped into someone.

"Watch where you're going, kid! Tsk."

I gazed up at the man I had accidentally pissed off to try to apologize. From what I could see, he was probably something like a bandit. He had an ample beard and a scar over his right eye. For whatever reason, his lofty tufts of hair reminded me of Philip's, Paul's brother.

"Sorry about that, sir. My eyes aren't very good right now," I managed out.

"Then walk on the side of the road, you—" The man stopped himself mid-insult, his expression twisting into one of intrigue. "Say, your face reminds me of someone, girl. What's your name?"

'Reminds me of someone'? That's new.

"Uhm, it's Lumina. Lumina Greyrat, sir." I stammered out. It caught me a little off guard to have to introduce myself in the middle of the street, especially when my eye was giving me a splitting headache.

The man's reaction to my name was unreadable. It was a mix of maybe confusion and what looked to be disbelief. What? Did I tick him off again?

"Hm. Well, I've got places to be, kid." He began walking past us, stealing a glance at Kishirika. "This'll be a piece of work…" I could hear him mumble as he shuffled away.

Now I'm thoroughly confused. Did that guy know me, or what?

Kishirika let out a loud burp, startling me and causing me to pour mana into my Demon Eye.

"AAAAUGH!" I yelled, falling to the ground and clutching my eyes.

"Ah! Lumen! What's wrong?!" Kishirika worriedly questioned, tugging at my hair.

"It's Lumina, damn it!" I snapped, getting my mana under control. I picked myself off the ground and dusted my robe off.

"Let's just get back to the inn," I said, exasperated.

"Yeah! Let's do that!" Kishirika agreed, picking up the pace of her steps.

I sighed and matched her speed, not wanting to be left in the dust of someone like her.

Jeez, what a long morning. At least this eye's interesting, though. That's the one upside to all of this.

I felt a cold stare on my back as we continued forward, but found nothing when I peered backward.

Author's Notes:

And so begins the main narrative of Volume 4! The implications of Kishirika and Aleksander meeting will have massive repercussions on the overall storyline. Stay tuned for the next chapter, one that is as close to a turning point as it could get without being one.

It's been done to death by now, but I'd like to advocate for the Ao3 (Archive of Our Own) version of Mushoku Tensei: Lumina Greyrat, as when the story eventually has mature content inside of the chapters, I will have to cut them out of this website due to the Terms of Service. You don't have to migrate now, but do consider it.

The next chapter should be released by November 14th, titled...

Chapter 32: Life-Changing Reward
