Alright! 10 more days until voting ends. it seems that for both sites the bad path is in the leading votes, which presents a sorta dilemma for me all things considered. I don't know if I should just honor the votes or still deviate the story between the two sites.. current me says yes I still will but that could change if I deem it to much a hassle because at that point I'm essentially writing two different stories as when we get into month 3.

As you can see one site REALLY wants the bad path where the other is somewhat more mixed (good was actually ahead for a good while or even until a couple days ago, so if I do decide to continue the split which ever bad path get's the most votes between the two will be on their *first* (?) yup that's right first! another commenter suggested doing a sort of graphic novel style and that's a pretty good idea so yeah. if I do(which I'm writing as if I am so basically I am.) than the story basically COMPLETELY changes from each other on chp.30. after one path concludes I will than upload the second path to the opposite site, basically to hold people over while I go on "hiatus" writing my next story, which I will also hold a vote on so I'll give fare warning on that once we start reaching the end.

I think I explained/ranted enough so without further ado Enjoy the chapter!
A new member: Class 1A
Two days past with nothing substantial happening between the teens, torax has made a full recovery from his injuries while aki has grown up even more by digesting a monster that bad had killed, she was more evolved then before in that she now was a full on teenager on her hind legs she was nearly as tall as koda. Originally her red coat was littered with other things which symbolized the monsters that she had eaten before but with the guidance of torax she was able to return to basically her original form that resembles her father just being a large red bear without the glowing yellow face inside her mouth.
Tokoyami and dark shadow had been discussing more and more about their relationship and how they interact. tokoyami made more of an effort to listen to the shadow and allow it more freedom to do as it pleases as long as he didn't reveal secrets he wished to keep hidden from people and dark shadow agreed to that. As there relationship grew dark shadow became different at first it was his demeanor dark shadow started becoming more nocturnal in nature in the morning he would barely have any energy to do much of anything, he could luckily still manifest and fight but not anywhere near what he was used to before but at night he seemed energized and completely care free for what seemed like hours at a time, the second major revelation was one morning where tokoyami tried to summon dark shadow and instead of manifesting from him like a cord, dark shadow was completely separated from him surprising both of them equally at first they thought it was his awakening but after checking out with momo she confirmed that he was indeed awakening but it was partial similar to bakugo's she would constantly check up on the boy to see if any changes occur and to constantly take samples for drive knight to see how the situation evolves over time.
When this morning started and tokoyami simply couldn't feel dark shadows' presence anymore he called out to the shadow creature and even tried to summon it but nothing came out which caused him to worry even more but he attempted to calm himself down as went downstairs to go eat with the rest of his friends but doubt was still plaguing his mind about his friend. The class was currently enjoying themselves eating breakfast, aki had decided to play a prank on mina by surprising the pink girl by manifesting multiple spider legs and eyeballs before dropping down on top of the girl causing her to let out a screech of terror before realizing it was the cub and pouting before reversing the pin it had on her and rubbing the girl fiercely with some mild acid to boot. Torax simply watched the show with amusement from the sidelines. Shoji, noticing tokoyami more secluded to himself than normal and overhearing the teen mumbling to himself, decided to go over and talk to the dark teen.
"Everything going alright?" Shoji questioned, tokoyami glanced over for a moment before starting to nod but stop halfway through.
"No…I don't think so…I can't feel dark shadow anymore." Tokoyami said simply , making shoji raise his eyes in surprise.
"Are you sure he's not just playing a prank on you?" shoji asked but Tokoyami shook his head
"No, even when not out I can at least feel him somewhere inside …now I just feel empty." Tokoyami said with a hint of worry.
"Do you want to try and test it?" Shoji suggested, piquing Tokoyami's interest he considered the proposal and then decided that they should at least try even if this was a joke on the shadow creatures part and it somehow found a way to completely disconnect himself from him, it wouldn't let him be hurt he thought. So the two went towards the back and tried it out shoji used his dupli arms and shot out a punch at tokoyami and as expected the punch was blocked but the mysterious things was that neither knew by what as his punch just sat suspended in mid air, shoji felt something grabbing him but couldn't see it with his eyes, so he tried again and again but the same thing happened.
There experimenting eventually drew some attention from others in their pseudo Posey which notified their absence this being koda and ojiro who also attempted to help shoji out but all of their attacks were simply repel by that mysterious force after a couple of minutes of trying to figure out as clearly something was there, ojiro got the idea of brining torax in and trying to tempt a response from the shadow creature as they still had a bit of rivalry going from when they met. Not figuring out much else to do the group decided to approach the tiger and ask it to antagonize dark shadow by making some quips at it the tiger obliged mocking the shadow creature for losing their fight or just calling it a puppet and surprisingly nothing was said by the shadow but torax did dodge out of the way presumably of an attack that was headed his way countering with extending his claws straight at empty air that was stopped cold , the tiger hummed in thought before setting its paws down again
"I thought I smelled something that was off." the tiger remarked simply.
"You can smell dark shadow?" tokoyami asked
"Sort of, everything and one has a unique scent but your aberration smelled off, familiar but different." torax said simply
The shuffling of the tiger and the clash brought more people into the room they were in, mina, jiro, toru, midoriya, Iida, and momo.
"Is everything alright over here?" Jiro asked
"Who's the new person or thing?" Toru asked, surprising some of the others as everyone was known.
"What do you mean toru?" midoriya asked
"You guys can't see it? That bird thing right there in front of torax.'' Toru said as she pointed in the direction and everyone followed her hand just to find empty air. Iida was about to ask if the girl was feeling ok but suddenly as she said in front of torax, what she was talking about suddenly appeared as the girl said the creature was covered in golden ornate armor, with large wings on the back, the creature within the armor was humanoid mostly besides the head which reminded him of the egypt god horus. Everyone in the room suddenly froze not wanting to make any moves in case the presumed creature/monster decided to lash out again but instead the creature said nothing and just hovered above the ground before beginning to maintain an orbit around tokoyami. Making everyone move their eyes to the teen instead of the creature but tokoyami eyes were locked on the new arrival.
"Dark shadow? " Tokoyami said hesitantly, the creature looked at him and shook its head, gesturing to itself by pounding its armored fist into its chest plate.
"Shining light." the creature announced to him in a distinctly feminine voice. Tokoyami didn't really know what to say to that but nodded anyway and in the next moment midoriya was on him, asking a bunch of questions revolving around his quirk.
"So I guess this is the final form of your awakening then.'' Momo suggested coming along and with Iida help taking Midoriya away to give him some room. The group discussed for a brief amount of time before resting their questions for now as surely some of their other classmates would have the very same questions and it would be better to figure everything out with everyone as well as momo wanting to take another blood sample from the teen.
"Is that even going anywhere?" Jiro asked the girl as she finished pulling some blood.
"Well it's going "slowly" by drive knight standards but those standards must be extremely fast as he has said that he predicts a 70% certainty that he could unlock the gene in the rest of us with surgery."
"Those are pretty good odds." mina remarked
"It is although there is an equal 70% chance that there will be extreme side effects and 100% chance that there will be side effects of some kind and he doubts that he can reverse the extreme one if they trigger." momo explained
"Ahh so it's still dangerous to commit to." Iida concluded and momo nodded.
"Hopefully with this the progress could quicken even more being able to see how the gene actually mutated and change over time would give great insight I assume but speaking of which could you bring sero in here as well, I thought it was the ghost originally using its power with seros but apparently that wasn't the case.'' Momo asked and Iida did as instructed and the group slowly fizzled back out into the living room with everyone else.
After everyone was settled in the questioning began as tokoyami unveiled his new awakened quirk although he promptly asked that no one asked about how he awakened and that the matter was going to be private.
"Wait, does this mean dark shadow is gone? Aww I really like the guy, ribbit." asui remarked
"And we really like you as well but he's not gone exactly. I can still feel him inside of myself, it's what probably tempted me to attack the cat. I think I'm more of his antithesis " shining light remarked , the answer caused a pang of tension to rise through tokoyami and asui noticeable reddened at first mention which toru caught on to but luckily for either of them didn't go down the train of thought that they both assumed the girl was going to go down.
"You said "we" does that mean you identify more with things like they/them pronouns?" toru asked
"Not really, I'll likely feel most comfortable with regular female vocabulary but I hold no ill will to those that call me things such as that, I am technically two people in one, three if you count our partner here." shining light gestured to tokoyami but just when they thought they were in the clear.
"So by this "we" you referred to, does that include tokoyami?" Mina said in a teasing tone and tokoyami thought he would have to say something to his new quirk but he was pleasantly surprised.
"I am unable to say clearly, I was only born yesterday." she replied simply and mina didn't really have many things else to say that remark and midoriya thankfully changed the topic.
"Wait, you said that your essentially dark shadows opposite does that mean your strengths and weaknesses are flipped?"
"Correct, I rise with the sun and fall with the night." she poetically remarked earning some murmurs from the class bakugo even slightly grimaced at that fact…despite being rank lower than him he knew tokoyami's strength first hand and the only reason he held the edge was due to his weakness to light now without that could he actually win against him? Now that he thought more on it he fought the tiger to a standstill while he was trounced by that ox creature which meant that even then he held an edge over him but with his training with silverchain did that change? no doubt he was training as well to get better…hmm bakugo wondered should he invite the teen out for a few matches when they got the time but for now he remained silent as the other asked their questions.
"Oooh that means me and you tokoyami could make a fantastic team!" Toru yelled, ojiro slightly grumbled internally but said nothing, toru almost seemingly having a six sense rubbed the base of his tail almost as if in a way to placate his thoughts.
"Yes. it would seem that way." Tokoyami replied simply with a nod.
"Oh what about how you fight!" Kirishima remarked and suddenly the armor on each of the creature's forearms sprouted two arm crossbows and across its back a large bow manifested.
"Benefiting being the opposite, I am more of a ranged fighter, than the brawler dark shadow is, not to say melee combat is impossible for me but it's not as effective." shining light remarked by shooting an arrow made completely of light that struck into the way before disparity into thin air making everyone awe at the quirk. The class asked a few more questions before it began to get late and they all needed to start heading out.
Sonic, becoming saitama: Sonic, Saitama, Geno's group, Atomic's group, Tatsumaki's group, Mediocre Group, Metal bat's group, Sato, Kirishima
" I feel great! This is the most success I've had until now! I'm in the best shape of my life! It's about time I defeat that guy. Muheheheheh, Just you wait, Saitama!" sonic remarked before setting out to go attack his target surely after his continued training will result in a different outcome than his previous attempts, he found his pray right in the middle of eating his food where he assumed to be at his weakest point and he struck
Boom
"WOAAARGH!" sonic gasped unexpectedly as he was launched back by a gut wrenching elbow to his stomach.
" Why?! Why can't I beat you!?" sonic asked as he held his stomach just barely able to stand
"Just give it up already, will ya? Including this one, you've already lost to me a total of 4 times." saitama remarked simply
" ELEVEN TIMES!" sonic corrected
"Eh? That many?" saitama said curious as he put a hand to his chin as he ruminated on their encounters
"Don't tell me you don't even remember our epic death matches!" Sonic said in disbelief was he really that unremarkable to him?
"Well you're always attacking me while I'm eating, of course I'm going to prioritize the food." saitama said as if it was obvious
" I've left less of an impression on you than food?!" sonic remarked in even more disbelief
" Damn you…you're not even having anything fancy! Focus on our battle, you hear me?!
"Don't you underestimate food, they are all created equal. (Saitama said before taking a few slurps of his noodles) Eh…it's a little burnt…" saitama said somewhat dissatisfied
"Stop talking while slurping noodles!" sonic said irritated by the lack of manners his rival showed
"Damn it, why should I lose to a cup-noodle-eating loser! Next time, I swear!" sonic announced as he was about to make his leave
"Oh you're coming again? I see, alrighty then, but I do have one condition if you want to fight me again.`` Saitama said his demeanor changed into a more serious tone.
No way, is he going to set a time and a place for a proper showdown? Sonic began to think as he leaned in intently to listen to his rivals terms.
"Since you're always here while I'm eating, how about you time your arrival right after I've added hot water?" saitama said his tone dropping back down to his casual tone again halfway through his sentence
"Don't you dare imply you can finish me in 3 minutes!" sonic yelled back before turning around in a huff and leaving back to his base so that he can tend to his injuries.
Sonic finally made it back to his home base in a huff planting himself down against a wall as he thought about his fights with his rival, he would need to re-double no…quintuple his efforts in his training but will repeating his ordinary training methods really lead him to victory? Presumably if he trains hard enough in comparison to Saitama, if that moron even trains, he will eventually be able to overtake him…but the constant defeats really weighs down on my confidence, sonic continued to think. Could his ninjutsu really be effective against him one day? He thought on that question as he thought to the their fight from early realizing that the bald hero STILL didn't remember his name which meant something even worse than simply not leaving an impression he was completely off the heroes radar like a fly or an ant that someone would brush aside or stomp and move on with their day sonic thought grimacing to himself.
He wouldn't fool himself with delusions anymore he knew he had no chance of victory against the hero but his pride would prevent him from leaving it be, he needed to achieve victory against the hero at least once by any means necessary. He began to think of how others may overcome such extreme difficulties. Bees when facing against the overwhelming power of a hornet have come up with a strategy to swarm the creature and cook it alive. Skunks and hedgehogs have evolved to overcome their physical disparities using their abilities, yet here he was, challenging him with reckless litany. sonic thought to himself.
If it were Saitama, if it were him, what would he do in his situation? Sonic began to wonder and the wind that blew by in his drafty hideout was the perfect symbolization of what that man would likely think of if he was in his situation, absolutely nothing thinking of what he would do would get him nowhere….or would it? He began to think as an idea graced his features to truly know how to defeat an opponent he needed to know his opponent and the only way to do that is to live life in his shoes…that's it! If I were to become Saitama and live his life, maybe I'll uncover his weakness, and the strategy to beat him! As a ninja disguising himself as another person is my expertise. Sonic spent the next couple of minutes working on his saitama disguise beginning with the simple yellow suit with red boots and gloves than he started on the vocals which he also nailed down but took a moment to get the mannerisms correctly before deciding that what he had would simply have to be good enough, No matter how hard he practiced, he always end up with a slightly more serious and reserved expression compared to the real thing. Now it was time to live life as saitama.
B-city
Genos, bakugo, Todoroki, and his two disciples were currently on a mission to exterminate a monster, the robots master had once again conveniently disappeared leaving somewhat later than the rest of them claiming that he had something "important" to take care of which meant to bakugo that it was likely nothing special at all knowing the baldy. The four of them were patrolling the streets but were making slower progress than they would normally do to the two extra additions.
"You extra's need to pick up the pace? Why are you running? Use your powers to move faster like half and half." bakugo barked back at them the two individuals enjoe and brut noticeably shivered at the angry blonde's attitude as they tried to keep up to the three in front of them, huffing all the while, the two attempted to use their abilities to speed themselves up but that only resulted in an accidental mishap of brut making a ice road in front of him causing both him and enjoe to slip and fall and the flames that enjoe was making to catch on to brut's hat causing both of them to go into a cycle of burning and freezing the other, bakugo just completely facepalm at the display while todoroki went over to stop the cycle.
"Don't let him get to you, you progress at your own pace, don't attempt to copy me if you're not prepared for it." Todoroki told the two of them as he helped them up.
"You're being too soft." bakugo announced behind him
"I agree with dynamite. They won't improve unless you work them harder." genos said turning around to face them, todoroki considered it for a moment but than thought back to his own childhood every time he failed something his father would strike him and tell him to do it again….he didn't want to be like that…he would be firm but gentle in his approach he wouldn't follow in his footsteps todoroki thought simply as he shook his head.
"No, rushing them won't get them anywhere any time fast." Todoroki remarked in defense of his students.
"Thank you master!" both brut and enjoe said bowing behind the teen. Todoroki also knew that they were somewhat hesitant to join the battle against a demon class monster especially when they were mostly still learning to use their powers but maybe showing them their potential could inspire them to try harder Todoroki assumed. The group of them finally managed to get to the scene the monster didn't seem like much of anything in fact the creature was mostly human looking in nature but had long and extravagant hair that ran down the length of his frame, when they approached the human monster bakugo and todoroki asked for the former human to stand down but after a bizarre conversation where the monster would only speak in idioms but it became extremely apparent that the monster wasn't going to back down without a fight.
The ensuing battle was incredibly hard fought the monster was surprising tough using it's hair as weapons it's first attack pierced straight through genos but the attack was shallow and the cyborg quickly reacted with his blades cutting through the appendage inside of him and cutting the parts coming towards him, todoroki switched to his phosphorus red form to burn in oncoming hair that was headed his way bakugo similar used his explosions as a shield from the monsters mane but the same couldn't be said for brut and enjoe they were too slow to react before being tangled up with the material but thankfully even they could escape the monster grasps with their abilities, the monster seeing that it was essentially countered in this battle attempted to flee the scene using it's hair to dig up ground and throw the rocks at the incoming heroes while simultaneously using it's hair and digging it into the ground to come out like spike traps.
Three of them dodged the trap without issue brut and enjoe on the other hand had to find another way around to continue presuit, genos had finally caught up to the individual and pinned the monster by the throat and ignoring the calls of the teens behind him used his incinerator to completely incarnate the creature but something went wrong a large explosion quickly erupted what genos felt like before his incinerator activated but the monster was gone and nothing left of it remained besides a large hole where the creature was he examined the hole and then used his sensors to examine if the creature could have escaped but all of his sensors came up blank, did the monster self-destruct? He thought for a moment ignoring the badgering teens that were ranting about him killing the creature as he continued to walk away from the scene as the police came in to take care of the damages. He was brought out of his thoughts before spotting his master.
"Sensei! So you're here!"
Eh…what's with this guy? Haven't I met him somewhere? Sonic thought
" We should have left at the same time after receiving reports of the monster sighting. I didn't see you at the scene and thought maybe you got lost again. I have already dispatched the monster" genos stated.
" Aaahhh…is that so…so that's how that went…" Saitama said
Accosted by Saitama's acquaintance all of a sudden… further proof that my disguise is perfect … sonic thought again, trying to suppress the smugness in his expression.
"Huh? Is there a problem? Something feels off…" genos remarked
"The only thing wrong is that, this man manages to find the most best excuses to skip out on his duties." bakugo responded from behind the cyborg.
"Non….nonsense, everything is normal. Eh…you…what's your name again?" Saitama asked but he wasn't looking at dynamite but genos? As the robot gestured to himself.
"eh? Saitama sensei, have you forgotten my name? I am genos your…"
"Oh that's right! Genos, it's Genos isn't it? My bad, my bad! A monster hit me in the head just now, my memory seems a bit scrambled." saitama remarked cutting genos off
" Aaah! A monster that could damage Saitama sensei to such an extent… How could this be!? This is a major crisis! What exactly happened to the monster? Have you defeated it?! Just what kind of being was it… I want to verify the body, just to make sure." genos said with extreme worry, even bakugo eye widened at that remark.
"Heh…about that… I used my proud technique: full-power crotch punch. It was badly hurt and ran off into the mountains." saitama remarked
"The mountains, is it? Okay, I'll go chase it down and finish it off right now." genos said as he rockets off and bakugo soon followed after giving a look to todoroki and jerking his head back towards his disciples, todoroki nodded his head in understanding.
"Flame dragoon, frost raven escort Saitama to a hospital, he may have a concussion." todoroki said before rocketing off skywards after bakugo and genos.
"Let's go, there is an ambulance right around the corner. Near the monster sighting." enjoe said
"Ah…yeah …let's go." saitama said but as both enjoe and brut turned around they were both knocked unconscious and hastily discarded into the nearest bushes. After discarding them useless extra's he began to ruminate more on how he can use his disguise to his advantage now that he was able to convince saitama's closest comrade he was more confident than ever that he could convince everyone else and in order to understand Saitama, he must learn about his relations with other heroes, as well as engage in hero activities from his point of view and to find out how those relations are he decided to travel to the heart of the hero association HQ.
Hero Association HQ
Uraraka was a bit surprised when tatsumaki had suddenly stopped her and needle stars training and dragged them all the way back to associations HQ and as they arrived they were equally surprised to see that sero was there along with his group.
"You were called in as well, atomic samurai?" tatsumaki regarded the older gentlemen
"Seems like it, this monster better be some big deal, you kids all have your fun while we take our business." atomic said as he waved them off as he and Tatsumaki headed inside the building leaving their protege's outside.
"So what's happening?" Uraraka asked to the group but she mostly expected sero to answer her but Iaian had first.
"Our masters have both been tasked with hunting down a rogue monster." said simply. making needle star raise his eyebrows.
"Hold on! Terrible tornado and the association's strongest backup was needed for this monster? What kind of threat are we talking about here?" he asked surprise and worry evident in his tone.
"We don't know he didn't share any of the details but to warrant this type of response from the association must mean that at bare minimum disaster level that the creature has to be dragon, maybe even a high one at that." Bushidrill responded rubbing his chin in thought in thought and uraraka and sero both locked eyes for a moment thinking back into the condition Todoroki had when he fought a potential dragon level threat last week.
"I'm sure with those it likely won't be a problem, if anything I feel bad for the monster." Sero said with a laugh but only got stairs in return from the disciples and needlestar.
"Dragon level threats are a threat to multiple cities and if left unchecked maybe the entire human race..you guy's lofty ideals of not killing monsters should never apply to them." Iaian remarked with extreme severity looking at sero then to uraraka. But Okamaitachi simply laughed at that.
"Please like any of them would be in a position to spare such a thing, they would likely be instantly killed." the rowdy girl said loudly earning a few laughs from the disciples at the twos suspense.
"Well what are we to do now while we wait?" needlestar asked
"Well I guess we could all just train together, Kirishima is still around here as well so, we could all get some weight lifting in."
Sero commented and after some rumination on the idea everyone decided that it was good a plan as any even uraraka was ok with going along in fact needlestar said that she would probably want to work on strengthening her muscles some more to truly master his techniques. So the group of six all began to head into the association and after messaging kirishima for where he was the crew was off in that direction sero and uraraka was partially surprised that koda and his apprentice chemonille was also their along with them all of the classmates met and conversed for a moment koda explained that he didn't have any boxing practice today and that bad was called for a mission and said mission was too dangerous for him to accompany him in which shocked the group of six even more, 3 S-class heroes just for one monster? Just how strong was the thing and why isn't there a mass panic involved in the destruction it inevitably had to be causing or was it laying low they thought…they speculated again on the threat level of the monster bringing up the dragon level threat and the group of new arrivals was surprised when torax actually spoke up causing a rush of confusion where Iaian blade was drawn towards the creature but koda and sero managed to talk him down although finding out that the creature threat level was that of demon still made them worry not taking the monster out of their sight as they lifted weights.
Kirishima asked darkshine why he wasn't selected and he told them that he was still in charge of defending home base and that they especially wanted one here after a recent incident that happened here apparently the teens eyes were all shifty knowing about the incident being referred to and dropped the topic all together soon after as not to leak too much information. The five of them continued to work together before all of them minus darkshine had decided to adventure further into the base to practice some of their techniques as the gym didn't have enough room for them to practice. They went into one of the special training rooms, this room's theme was more just a flat plain environment with little in terms of anything else. The groups initially separated and did their own things the disciples and sero would spar amongst each other while it would be stretch to call sero involvement though as he was mostly being used more as a tool for their training using his tapes randomly into the conflict to keep them on their toes. Uraraka and needle star took another corner of the room practicing throwing and retrieving their orbs given that tatsumaki wasn't there to create a makeshift practice material she had to settle for using one of her 20 ton spirals instead which caused her to be even more cautious when practicing.
Koda and kirishima was currently practicing against each other koda was using a portion of aki's power so that they could really go at, given the koda was mostly a boxer by nature at this point he was cut off guard by kirhsima's use of his legs in fighting especially from what he knew of the red head prior and that was not to mention that everytime he landed a punch on kirishima that he was sure that he felt it more than kirishima did it almost felt like the iron woods trees that his boxing teacher would have him hit against he thought. The groups all practiced separately for a time before eventually coming together and intermingling the disciples were interested in needlestar fighting style and wanted to test it, the fight between him and iaian wasn't much of anything spectacular the swordsman would wait patiently as he would throw out his ball and chain and he would deflect it.
He managed to skim the armor of the disciple once when he had changed the trajectory of the object mid-flight to surprise the samurai but after learning the knowledge that it was able to do so couldn't manage to that same closeness again. Uraraka would lightly practice with okamitachi, give the disparity of weight in comparison to uraraka spiral she didn't like the idea of throwing it at a person but the women insisted that it was ok and after a few test runes where she was able to deflect the 20 ton spiral decently enough she started to practice together, the rest of the guys and even a boarded aki all trained together against bushidrill although none of them manage to land a hit on the older gentlemen and forsaking his normal weapon in turn of using a metal bamboo stick to strike back against the four man team coming up against him. The training ultimately came to a head when Iaian had approached the tiger for a duel and despite what koda thought would happen torax agreed although he was still worried if something went wrong here it could spell a disastrous situation. Torax mocked that it would be better for all three disciples to challenge him at the same time instead of him alone that way he could get a proper "stretch" out of the fight which the other two immediately agreed to even using their real weapons which frightened koda even more as the odds of something happening increased but luckily as they began nothing to hazardous had occurred the four of them battled it out as the others watched on the sidelines spectating and recording the event, but not even five minutes had passed until aki climbed up on koda to get his attention the bear cub telling him that something was wrong…someoneis close by.
Hmph, so this is the Hero Association HQ? The security at the entrance is too lax. Infiltrating is not a problem for a ninja like myself. So, will I uncover the key to Saitama's secret power here? Sonic thought as he entered into the building examining his surroundings, he didn't really know where to go, he pondered on where would saitama go when entering this building, come to think of it has saitama ever entered into this building his demeanor would suggest otherwise unless he was summoned that was, his thoughts were interrupted when he was suddenly come upon by someone else.
"Hey you, what are you doing here?" atomic said as he approached the
" Hm? ah…I heard I was needed at the HQ for urgent business, so I came ``Saitama remarked simply..
" Needed…at the…HQ…for…urgent…business? Someone like you?!" atomic said a bit taken back by the news
"ooh, I haven't introduced myself. How do you do, my name is Saitama, pleased to meet you." saitama said
"Argh…what? Are you implying this is the first time we met? You, I've wanted to tell you this before: you're such a weirdo." atomic said
Tsk, it's another acquaintance! Sonic thought
"A…ah! If it isn't the old man! You got a different vibe going today, I didn't even notice you!" saitama remarked casually
" Don't give me that attitude just because Silver Fang likes you, you might catch a beating, kiddo." atomic threatened
" Huh? Just who do you think will be delivering that beating?" saitama remarked he was breaking character with his response but he wouldn't dare be looked down upon by someone like this
" What's that? You want to pick a fight with me?" atomic said getting angry
"Oh excuse me, did I let it slip? The way you said it, sounds like you think you're stronger than me, old man. Saitama said his face starting to support a mad grin
"Hmph, I don't know where a B-Class hero could possibly get all that confidence…" atomic dismissed him not feeling on dealing with this weirdos stuff but a sudden movement from the B-class drew his attention. Sonic draws first, but Kamikaze blocks
Argh! That was fast! I didn't even see him draw his sword! This guy, he's no joke! Sonic thought suddenly before quickly retreating
"You need a reality check. I've seen too many who gave up their lives so easily due to overconfidence" atomic remarked casually
" Tsk, you're pretty fast with a sword, but if I get serious, no sword slashes in the world can catch me…" sonic said, almost giving up completely in his disguised voice. But before anything else could be done the a high pitched voice rung out over the two.
"Wait a minute! Why on earth is the B-Class baldy here?! Wasn't the summon only meant for powerful heroes?" tatsumkai's voice immediately rang out
" Seems like he was called here as well." atomic remarked casually
"What's with this guy and always showing up when the S-class is involved?" metabat added on coming up next to tatsumaki
"Haaa?! Why do I have to go to battle with someone like this?!" tatsumaki said before lancing off into a trade of insults.
What's this kid's problem? Is Saitama regularly being made fun of by little kids like this?! Sonic thought.
" If you want to join me on an operation, then get in the S-Class first! You, the power difference between us….do you not have a fucking clue?!" tatsumaki continues to rant.
W…what?! Does she mean she's even stronger than Saitama?! No, that's not right. I've heard that professional heroes need to manage their popularity. As powerful as Saitama is, his hero ranking must have been affected by his average looks and uncouth behavior, that's why he's only a B-Class hero, right? In contrast, despite being weaker, she must have exploited her childish cuteness to obtain overwhelming popularity and ascend into the ranks of S-Class heroes. What a cruel industry. Sonic concluded in his thoughts.
"To sum it up, I don't care if it's a collaborative battle plan, or whatever other battle plan, including a B-Class hero, is unforgivable, get the hell out, now!" tatsumaki finished her rant
"Hey, old man, as proud heroes, should any of us be subject to such humiliation?" saitama said
"Tatsumaki doesn't care, you had better just listen to her and leave." atomic responded simply
Damn these guys… since I'm role playing Saitama, I've got no choice but to leave, but don't think I'll let it slide if I run into any of you out there! Sonic thought
" Just hurry up and leave already" tatsumaki announced her power flashing more in threat.
"Shut up, stupid!" saitama said
"Haaa?!" tatsumaki said completely baffled by the baldys words
"Does he have a death wish?" metal bat said equally stunned by the remark
"What are you doing?! You're gonna get killed! Get out of here now!" atomic yelled as he could already feel the winds start to spin around him
Smokescreen Shuriken! Yelled as he threw a shuriken towards the ground creating a large cloud of smoke causing atomic, bad, and Tatsumaki to start talking coughing
"Where the hell did the smoke come from? Hey you! Wait a second!" tatsumkai remarked as she immediately cleared the smoke with her power but the baldy was already gone
Just like a ninja. Atomic thought as he rubbed his head at the scene in that very next moment he was suddenly approached by a small red bear creature he was about to draw his sword but bad moved in front racked his bat before dropping it to the ground in between the two and stopped the bear creature in his tracks. Somewhat after the bear creature, Koda rounded the corner along with the other students and the tiger.
"You should really put that thing on a leash if it's going to run off like that. Atomic would have slashed him good just now.`` Bad remarked and Koda nodded as he approached.
"Sorry she just smelled someone familiar and got a little excited." Koda remarked as Aki continued to smell the air before coming closer and closer to atomic samurai and while hesitant he allowed the small bear to smell the hilt of his blade.
{there was no doubt about it, he was here koda.} Aki remarked with restrained anger, turning back to face the teen. And all the eyes in the room went to him to explain.
"Was there a ninja here just now?" koda asked
"Ninja? Nah ..but that B-class that demon cyborg hangs around with was just here." bad remarks causing koda to look confusingly back at the aki before looking at torax.
"She is telling the truth…that person was recently here. I can smell him as well." Torax said, gaining some suspicious looks from both tatsumaki and atomic samurai.
"I didn't think you would actually be able to control monsters." atomic remarked simply as he looked at the large cat.
"What threat level is it?" tatsumkai asked as she levitated to get a closer look
"D-demon." Koda murmured out.
"You can control demon level monsters but you're only a C-class?" tatsumaki asked suspicious
"Well… as you can see it doesn't always work. But never mind that they both said they smelled someone was here he was a dangerous criminal S-class bounty.`` Koda remarked, this peaked the group's attention for a moment.
"Don't know what to tell ya kid, bad was right…the only other person that was in here was that B-class baldy…although he did have a few ninja tricks which definitely didn't seem right from his get up, his voice changed for a moment there as well." atomic said as he remembered their prior interactions.
"So you're saying he could have been in disguise?" bad said, atomic simply shrugged his shoulders.
"Could be don't really know the guy enough to say who he is?" atomic remarked simply
And with that said koda, torax and aki all began to leave as well not before telling sero to try and get into contact with bakugo to inform them of the possible imposture saitama as they chased down the scent while they didn't have any plans to engage the criminal especially with what happened just the other day but they wanted to keep tabs on the man just incase he tries to do anything especially when disguising himself as a another hero.
B-city mountains
bakugo , todoroki, and genos were searching the mountains for monsters and they did find some but bakugo questioned if these birds humanoid creatures could have really damaged that bald idiot while one or two of them were tough none of the rest of the 10 were of any consequence or remarkable in anyway in fact the battle between them and the supposed skyfolk was over fairly quickly only taking around 30 minutes to completely to round them up and capture them well capture as many as they could… out of the 12 monsters present they were only able to actually save four of them, their time under the cyborg reminded the two of their time interning under endeavor where the goal was to solve a case faster then the hero but hero it had an even darker undertone now, they had to finish the monsters quickly enough to spare their lives from genos onslaught and this was mostly just in the advent that they arrived to the scene first or they're were multiple monsters present other than those the monster would already be killed by the time they arrived, genos didn't take prisoners under any circumstance despite their misgivings. The one creature that wasn't killed was a bird creature that seemingly was going to be the skyfolks dinner it was wounded but had enough energy once bakugo freed it to run away, it had the weird ability to bend the earth which it used to avoid a blast from genos as it flew away.
As they waited at the base of the mountain for the hero association to arrive, bakugo got the text from sero about the imposter saitama making him spring up from his seat he showed the message to the cyborg which also felt something was off with saitama that morning and the possibility of a monster actually hurting saitama seemed unthinkable to him which should have immediately clued him off but he assumed that his master was simply testing him to achieve this objective…the cyborg sat in thought for a moment as where his master could possibly be before coming up with one idea as the association truck finally came the trio had split off genos ordered them to return back to the apartment just in case saitama returned their while he would check through the cities, both todoroki and bakugo were baffled by the fact that genos didn't have a phone on him to simply call his master but they followed his orders nonetheless flying off in search of saitama or the imposter saitama, bakugo wanted to get payback for the beach so he was hoping to find the imposter ninja so he could get some, he thought with a grin.
Z-city park
"Tsk, damn you, Saitama! It's all his fault, from the very beginning! Damn it! Instead of understanding him, all I've done is accumulate a ton of resentment! What a terrible experience it's been so far, I might as well give up on the disguise! If I keep going, it would be bad for my physical and mental health.`` Sonic yelled to the heavens as he walked. Since he wasn't minding his voice others looked at him with such weird and confused expressions but what really took the cake for him was when even a mother and child had made fun of him, not even bothering to whisper that he was just mad at his hopeless hero career.
"Argh! Is this how the public treat low-ranking heroes? Saitama looks like a brainless idiot. But maybe he's suffering deep down." sonic thought as he continued to walk down the street. Before hearing that very same mother scream for help, sonic turned around and began to bask in the delicious irony of the situation, he was angry and somewhat exhausted by his time spent in saitama's shoes so he let the scene play out in front of him for sometime not making any moves and waiting for some other heroes to take care of it.
The mothers son was kidnapped by two humanoid monsters older in nature if their wrinkled faces were anything to go by, the first responders to the scene were the police they immediately opened fire with their small arms fairly careless of them sonic thought as the two monster had a hostage but luckily for them the monster completely deflected the bullets off their bare skin amazed by the sight the police pulled back to get better gear while the mother pleaded again this time specifically for heroes to rescue her son, sonic simply blended in the shadows of the audience he could have dispatch the monster easily but he wanted to watch the scene unfold a little more and let the women despair some more before coming to the rescue. But suddenly the crow began to disperse as voice called for him to come through.
It was mumen rider along with two other heroes a fat hero along with what he believed was one of the non-killing army members with some ridiculous jumpsuit it almost reminded him of saitama 's suit in a way although his suits gloves and boots were incorporated completely into one thing if the appearance was to be believed. His thoughts were soon drowned out by the screams of the crowd in support of the hero which was surprising to him given his reception wasn't mumen rider just some random C-class? Mumen rider moved with haste calling out a challenge to the monster villain before using his signature justice tackle tackling one of the old monster that was holding the child hostage the second monster turned to attack the hero while he was preoccupied but that was when sugerman came in to interfere hitting the second monster with his sugar drop attack which was a flying kick striking the other monster in the head forcing him back off his feet the fat hero that the people identified as food battler futoshi quickly got the child away from the ongoing scuffle and brought him back to his mother and assure them away from the ensuing conflict but given that the threat level of these monster was clearly not much more than wolves the crowd was content to stay and watch the ensuing conflict cheering on the heroes in defeating the monsters, sonic was unimpressed by the display but intrigued by the audience reaction.
The angry grandpa monsters seemed to be angered by the growing support of the heroes, seeing the happy children and teens that reduced them to this state with their loud music and screaming. Made their blood boil and they got up with renewed energy but their targets had changed to attack the heroes hoping to crush the spirits of the people by destroying them right before their very eyes but that was more easier said than done despite how he might looked mumen rider was a sufficient fighter he ducked and weaved through several of one of the old monsters attacks before coming back with his justice punch staggering the monster again but before he could come back at the hero mumen rider followed up the attack with a justice kick knocking the monster back again but it didn't relent until he continued mumen rider did his finishing move his Killer move: Justice Crane High Kick! The attack hit the monster right on the chin sending him into the air before falling roughly onto the concrete groaning roughly in pain, mostly defeated. Sugar man wasn't doing any worse either; his fight with the old man was mostly just a one-sided beatdown. The hero's favor but unlike mumen rider he gave the monster no quarter to attack or retaliate his assault was vicious but somewhat imprecise, simply overwhelming the monster with a number of blows that completely made monster flinch and simply block for its safety but that could only hold out for so long. Sato grabbed the defending monster's arms and pulled back before performing a roll and throw to slam the monster into a wall this he named donut throw he quickly went with the motion of his roll to get back to his feet and continue on with his attack putting power into his legs before leaping forwards into the monster that was downed by the building into his signature move sugar rush due to the speed of the combo the monster didn't have time to raise his guard the rapid barrage of punches quickly consumed him before stopping suddenly once sato believed the monster was unconscious. The crowd cheers got even louder as the hero's victory was seemingly confirmed.
Sonic noted how unlike mumen rider who was more like putting on a play for the crowd to hype them up sugarman had ensured that his monster was fully unconscious before turning around to face them, this careless act nearly costed the hero his life as sonic noticed the shifting veins and explosive growth of the grandpa's arm behind the bike riding hero Killer move: Furious Outburst Punch! The old monster yelled as it launched his hand forwards towards the hero, sonic moved quickly and repositioned the hero out of the way of the attack, the attack struck the ground and crater the area around it before the monster let out a laugh at the presumably dead hero the crowd went silent as the hero was seemingly defeated sugerman man looked around to see if there was any trace of the hero only too look up and realize that mumen rider was somehow whirling down from above the monster justice crash he yelled as he continued downwards but a flash of something whizzed by the hero that sato couldn't recognize but as the hero came down an explosion took place and sato rushed into the smoke to see if mumen rider was ok and despite coughing a bit he was and the monster was knocked out completely from the attack.
"The monster has been safely defeated!" mumen rider announced to the roar of the audience
"You really helped me out there." mumen rider said turning his head towards saitama
" Don't mention it. You are working really hard." saitama remarked simply
" Saitama-kun, I'm still doing everything within my capacity as a C-Class. Have you been showing your talent after becoming a B-Class hero?" mumen rider asked
"Oh so he protected you. Yo saitama surprised to see you without genos around" Sato said as he came up to the duo after finding something to restrain the old monsters. Sonic was a bit surprised by how many people actually knew Saitama, surprised that someone that aloof could have such good networking skills.
" Eh…yeah, I guess…" saitama replied
" Heh, good to hear!" mumen said with a smile taking off his helmet
"Are you always fighting these battles by the skin of your teeth? A small mistake and you might lose your life you know. To be honest, I don't think you're fit for…" saitama said
"I've known this for a long time." saitama was beginning to say but was cut off by mumen
"Huh? Then why do you do it? The pay for C-Class is awful, and you don't get much respect.
" I really don't understand why you're putting your life on the line for so little…" saitama
"Mumen Rider!" the kid from before said
"Hey little brother! Is everything okay?" mumen asked ruffling the kids head
"I can't thank you enough, Mumen Rider! Come over here son, now what should you say?" the mom said
"Yes! Thank you very much! I want to become a hero too!" the kid quickly said
Hmph, stupid kid, only cares about appearances. Sonic said still a bit bitter from what they said early on
" Heh, that hero over there helped me a lot, you know. It's all thanks to him that we're able to protect everyone." mumen rider said gestring to saitama surprising the hero
"what's his hero name?" the kid asked
"He doesn't have a hero name yet." mumen responded
"I see! Thank you! Bald brother in a cape!" the kid said with a sincere smile
"A..ah…" saitama remarked speechless
"Eh, thank you so very much. I will cherish your kindness for the rest of my life." the mom said equally as sincerely
" D…..don't mention it…" saitama remarked
"Well then, looks like I can still move, let's contact the Association so they can come and collect the monster." mumen announced
"I already called them, they said they were on the way." sato remarked
" Let's go drinking sometime, Saitama-kun. I would offer you to come along but you're too young." mumen remarked
"Non-tanken I wouldn't want to intrude on y'all in the first place." sato brushed off
"Oh right, weren't you going to ask me something just now?" saitama said
" no…it's nothing. See you around." saitama before disappearing around the corner and only 10 minutes later sato was partially surprised when koda had arrived on top of torax with aki.
"Woah man where's the fire?" sato asked
"Was Saitama just here?" koda asked, sato nodded
"That wasn't Saitama, it was an imposter. Did he do anything wrong or suspicious " koda remarked with some worry
"No he didn't do anything, in fact he actually saved mumen rider's life. Who is that person?" sato asked
"Well, he's an S-class criminal." Koda remarked simply.
{guys I picked up his scent again.} aki announced back and the three of them were off again without another word leaving a confused sato and mumen rider in their wake.
Z-city uninhabited zone
Living life as the hero Saitama for one day, made me understand one thing: The reason why he would continue being a hero, despite the lousy pay and constant humiliation. Nevertheless, I am no closer to understanding where he got his strength. Maybe that can only be uncovered through battle? Saitama battles monsters on a daily basis. True monsters that are in a completely different league compared to the ones he saw earlier in the day. Sonic began to think as he countiend into Z-city home of his rival and the current resting place of a special monster…he leapt through the the abandoned rooftops before stopping as he caught sight of a interesting being its body was mostly made up of pure energy that was enshrouded by chains and some mystical armor almost just as the assocint documents he stole detailed.
"Found you, you're the monster Energiser, aren't you?" saitama said
" Yes?" engeriser said turning his head towards the sound
" When I was at the Hero Association, I stole their top secret documents. And obtained information on a powerful monster hiding in Z-City's uninhabited zone. S-Class heroes Tornado of Terror, Atomic Samurai, and metal bat are coming to eliminate you." saitama stated
" What are you on about? Why are you telling me all this? Who the heck are you?
" I am hero Saitama. I got here before they did, so I can defeat you by myself."
"Hahahahahaha, I thought you were just giving me heads up which I would have thanked you for. But a fodder hero such as yourself? Do you really think you stand a chance against me? Do you know my disaster level?"
"it's dragon isn't it? So what?" still fully confident he could defeat such an adversary.
"You really are clueless, aren't you? Haa!" engeriser said as he shot a beam of energy directly at the hero on the rooftop taking off most of the top of the building in the process.
" Oops, I was only going to scare him a little with my beam. Did I evaporate him by accident?" energiser thought curiously for a moment
Exploding Shuriken!
A monster with limitless energy stock, and the ability to compress said energy and emit them from its hands. Had I not known this beforehand, that would have been dangerous. Nah, with my abilities, I should be able to defeat it even in a blind encounter. Sonic thought.
"Hehehehehe, you're not half bad" engesier remarked as the smoke cleared
What? He's not hurt at all? Did he deflect the Shuriken with his beams? In that case…I'll fight him in close quarters! Sonic said as he began to speed towards the monster using his 18 shadow burial to disguise his approach.
"Oooh! That's some speed, I can't imagine you're just a fodder! In that case, I'll use this! Haaa!" energizer said as he folded his body in itself before shooting them outwards and without an explosive amount of energy surged outwards throwing sonic back
Whoa! Argh! It managed to blow everything in the surroundings away! Close quarter is not an option! Sonic thought as he managed to recover in mid-air luckily the monster move was horribly telegraphed allowing him to create some distance from the epicenter of the attack but even with a head start the attack managed to graze his arm and he could feel some of the blood leaking out of his arm and numbness resonate through the damage but he could still move it good enough to not impede his fighting ability too and now he was angry this monster was able to make him bleed which meant that he will kill it.
Koda, torax and aki had just begun to enter into the inhabited zone in Z-city before they were suddenly halted by a large rumble going on a few kilometers away, they felt vibration from where they were even despite the distance the likely battle was commencing. Koda was hesitant to proceed forwards given the disturbance and was surprised when he spotted bakugo and todoroki heading over in one of the opposite directions he asked torax to call out to them and he did by letting out a large roar that got the two flying teens attention before they course corrected and headed down to where they were.
"Koda what are you doing here?" todoroki asked
"We were following on the trail of the fake saitama and it led here but something is wrong." koda remarked as another rumble could be felt through the environment.
{is he fighting something?} aki suggested
"Most likely but what is the question?" torax said as another rumble was felt.
"Whatever it is, it's likely dangerous…should we wait for backup…maybe we could get midoriya to"
"Were going over…torax lead the way." bakugo said, suddenly cutting Todoroki off, the tiger tilted its head for a moment before looking back at Koda and aki.
"You two go get support, the real bald man seems to be close by." torax said simply, koda nodded his head but aki was hesitant to leave them by themselves but after ensuring that they'll be ok, the two of them were off and bakugo and todoroki followed after torax.
Tsk, I can't believe I got pushed this far. Is Saitama fighting monsters on this level every day? At this rate, I'm not going to make it! Sonic thought as he continued to dodge away from the monster while trying every tool in his arsenal to at least wound the damn thing but nothing he did work either it being blown away or the monster just tanking it to the face and keep on going and something in the back of his mind told him that the monster was just toying with him which was mostly confirmed by it's so eagerness to just talk to him while they fought.
"It's about time I end this fight and go into hiding. As strong as I am, fighting Miss Tatsumaki is still far too risky." energizer said before closing the distance between them at blinding speed placing one of his hands on sonic before smiling sadistically sonic thought he saw his life flash before his very eyes in that moment and braced for pain but it never came. He opened his eyes and jumped back as the monster he was fighting was covered in ice, he dodged again out of the way of an explosion aimed his way.
"What are you doing idiot!" Sonic yelled his costume was almost in tatters revealing part of his hair and traditional makeup of his face.
"Getting some payback.!" bakugo yelled back slamming his hand down again where the ninja was but he dodged out of the way again.
"Fool, do you really think that monster would be defeated so easily? It's a dragon level threat." sonic yelled back and just as the words left his mouth another explosion rocked the area, bakugo was caught by the ninja just as he was sent spiraling through the air by the shockwave, his ears were completely shot but he turned around in time to see the carnage todoroki was completely on the ground his unmoving but his body seemed to be spasming in on itself. Torax was next to him and was equally spasming on the ground, some of his white hair notably singed black he couldn't spot the monster until it suddenly appeared in his face.
"Aww isn't it the non-killing army guys…hey you guys are somewhat alright…so I'll let you off with just this." energizer remarked flicking bakugo in the head his head completely exploded in wild sensation of pain and ache his body refused to listen to him and he was left on the ground as the monster walked away from him completely stuck before he simply faded out form the pain he was experiencing.
"Hmph it looks like that ninja left, oh well time to get out of here. But first." energizer remarked before stepping over to the tiger monster and taping him on the forehead releasing it from it's paralysis.
"Hey…you pal…you should come with me. Between you and me there is a pick up point somewhere nearby, some by a group of monsters." energizer remarked to the downed cat , he was heavily breathing as it spoke back.
"Pass..pass…" torax remarked simply before growing in size and launching a paw swipe at the creature but energizer blocked the attack with one finger.
"That's unfortunate…humans likely won't have much time left anyways so you'll probably change your mind…see you then." said as he sent another current of electricity through the creature's limb completely stunning torax in place and dropping him to the floor as it laughed off and dashed away.
A few minutes pass and koda and aki had returned with saitama and genos to the scene of the battle only to see their friends completely knocked unconscious but still sporadically twitching while on the ground…genos was just preparing to take the three to the hospital when atomic samurai, metal bat, and tatsumaki showed up to the scene, after a brief discussion on what happened and no one knowing if the monster was killed or not..the three heroes decided to continued their search of the inhabited zone to see if they could find it and while they encountered a couple of monsters on their travels none of them match the description of what the association had described.
Sonic limped back to his hideout with his entire left arm hanging loosely down his body; he was unable to feel anything from it but he assumed that it would heal overtime. Heh, I've had enough of playing hero. Seems like the only way to beat him is to continue honing my skills as a ninja. That said… As long as he's fighting monsters, I will not attack him. Sonic concluded from his day as in the life of the hero.
Meeting the new hero: Zombieman's group, Bang's group, sigismund
Tokoyami and toru didn't head off immediately to group up with zombieman like they usually would tokoyami had actually needed to go first and make a special stop inside association HQ to along with todoroki and koda and toru assumed that this was likely due to their apprentices as she waited outside for them to prepare..she was waiting outside for the to finish up when the first person exited the door it was that female executive again she thought, she believed her name was Exama, the women walked out of the gym with an air of confidence bordering on superiority to those she passed and a shiver rolled down her spine as the women looks turned to her and surprisingly the women approached her.
"Greeting spirit of light." the women said with an authoritative tone
"Hello ma'am." Toru responded.
"It's good that you are here as well, I've been meaning to talk to you over some matters relating to technological development of a new stealth skin the association has been working on, however some other matter has come up as well." toru didn't know if the women did the dramatic pause just to spook her or she was honestly trying to remember what the other thing was but in either case it didn't make her any less nervous this women an executive had as much power of the association as sweet mask who could basically sway the public opinion with his words and metal knight which had the power to get koda into the very depths of the association and talk to the captured monsters or worst yet has the power to simply kick other executives off. So going by her expertise of training heroes no doubt that the heroes she has trained wouldn't hesitate to do a couple of favors for the women especially going off what kaminari had said volten did to him on her behalf. So she swallowed a lump in her throat as the woman scooted closer and began to whisper what she was about to say.
"There have been reports of there being a naked ghost girl that was running through the streets a couple of days ago….that wouldn't have happened to be you was it?" the girl said in a stern and suspicious tone but toru was completely somewhere else after hearing that…she didn't like to think too much on what happened but every time someone would bring up a different aspect she didn't account for…she ran essentially in the nude for how many blocks? How many people saw her…..were there pictures circulating around?...The teen girl started to panic before being snapped out of her thoughts by the snap of the women's fingers gaining her attention once more.
"Can I presume that your lack of response is an admittance of guilt?" Exma asked and Toru quickly bowed.
"I'm so …so sorry I would never do things like that normally I didn't even know I had the ability to do that so far so many things just happened that day." Toru quickly spat out in a worried manner.
"It is fine, dear you are still learning about your powers so accident do happen and it's not like it's completely unnatural for a hero to be seen naked puri-puri prisoner does so frequently when he fights although what separates you two are that one he is an adult and two he is not under my care…..so to prevent further incidents like that from happening we will be changing your hero costume to be more acceptable." Exam announced and Toru simply nodded her head. It made sense, if she could become visible now she didn't want to be naked during that time but she also didn't want to give up on her invisibility completely either wearing clothes would just make her stand out even more if anything she thought before sighing out loud.
"Now, Now if your worried about being visible you shouldn't be as I said before originally I wanted to talk to you about a new stealth skin we've been working on that essentially works as an invisible fabric similar to your skin it was well into development before your announcement but ever since your announcement the scientist have been itching to have some skin samples from you to accelerate the progress.(she placed a hand on top of the girl's head and felt her hair) I'm sure that with the combination of your hair and the stealth skin you can still remain invisible to the naked eye while also still wearing clothes." Exma stated removing her hand from the girl hair and waited for her response, toru was floored by the discovery, she could be invisible while wearing clothes…that just sounds too cool to let up…although a part of her mind kinda felt different but she ignored that part for now and excitedly accepted the women's proposal.
"YES! Ugh …I mean sure that sounds acceptable." Toru said bringing her voice back down, Exam only offered the girl a smug grin before turning around.
"I'll send the details to you later on in the day." Exam said before turning and walking away.
"right …thank you." Toru said, waving her arm goodbye at the woman as she went but it hadn't crossed her mind how she would have been able to have her number but she guessed the association maybe got a hold of it somehow, they did confiscate their phones for a moment during the beginning.
The rest of her friends started to come out of the gym next todoroki with his pals brut and enjoe, koda with Chemonille and finally tokoyami with sigismand but the younger boy actually had an extra attachment along with him today a helmet that was similar in shape to tokoyami but just more human looking the edge wasn't as pronounced to compensate for the beak. Tokoyami explained that the helmet also featured an intriguing design where the vents inside the mask would fill it with sleeping gas so that he could better access his other selves although it was just a prototype the association wanted field data from which was one of the reason he was coming along with him with his practice with zombieman for the day, it also possessed a stimulant patch that would awaken him in 30 minutes of the sleeping dose or an external switch located at the top of his mask which generate a stimulant that will also wake him up.
The reason the association gave him the equipment initially was to better help tokoyami train with the boy and easily train with the boy as he would often have trouble falling asleep so it would speed up the process fairly easily but he told toru that miss Exma and the association wanted to use the boy in hero assignments especially given that one of the monsters he has was labeled a demon level threat during their stress test of the event, however his parents would often be dismissive of such an offer although sigismund himself seemed ok with it even asking tokoyami to choose a hero name for him as he wanted one that was as cool as his…after some initially brainstorming he wanted to say something like a chimera or griffin something that symbolizes his ability to morph and change between many monster which lead him into thinking about gods of beast like cernunnos but eventually he decided that he would go with something different instead something more obscure a bakemono and despite the uniqueness of the name the younger boy seemed to take to it well, although tokoyami doubted he actually knew the lore behind the word.
The three of them shortly began their trip towards B-city Zombieman was already waiting for them by Bombs dojo. They got off the train station and began their walk.
"Hey so is she just going to be hovering around all the time?" Toru asked, pointing to presumably the invisible figure of shining light tokoyami thought which reminded him of something he was meaning to ask the girl.
"How are you able to see her in the first place?" Tokoyami asked, Toru shrugged her shoulders as she replied.
"I don't know, maybe it's due to my quirks. I can see invisible things well depending on how they are invisible that is. If it revolves just by redirecting light I can see it clearly." Toru suggested.
"It is as she says I bend light around my form to cloak myself and as for me being inside of my partner…as I said before I'm the complete opposite of my dark counterpart I can only exist outside of tokoyami alongside him." shining light responded simply.
"I see, I see." Toru said with a nod, looking like a crazy person talking to empty air. She finally saw this was how others would look talking to her when she was naked, making her chuckle a bit.
As the group got into the forest that surrounded bombs dojo was when shinning light finally decided to reveal herself as she floated along with them the regal looking bird creature was a little bigger than tokoyami himself and mostly kept silent in their journey only speaking when asked a question. The crew dropped toru off before heading their own way out to zombiemn's and tokoyami's usual training grounds. Meeting the man leaning against a tree.
"I'm guessing the association wants him to become a hero?" zombieman asked
"Yeah …how did you know?" sigismund asked.
"Well they're really pushing heroes lately and recruiters are back out in full force from what I'm seeing..if I was being positive I would say it was a reaction from my report the other day but I doubt it…what about the other one." zombieman said, gesturing to shining light.
"This is my new quirk…our sessions bore fruit..you could say I awakened. In simplest terms she is the opposite of the dark shadow completely.`` Tokoyami said as zombieman examined the creature from a distance.
"Well I'll be damned…so I guess light makes it stronger?" zombieman asked, tokoyami nodded his head.
"Well I wanted to go out on patrol now but I guess with these two caveats I guess we can stay and practice with your new friend here best to know what you can do before setting foot out in the wild,'' zombieman said before standing to his full height.
So for the next 30 minutes the two sparred with one another similar to how they did before and tokoyami was pleasantly surprised by how strong shining light was the light quirk was matching zombieman blow for blow, forcing the hero back on several occasion which something that only ragnarok could manage previously. The two fought at a speed not even tokoyami could properly examine. Sigismund was just pleasantly watching the spectacle trying to keep up just like tokoyami but just hearing the sounds and reactions to the fight was equally as awesome. The fight between zombieman and shining light quickly swapped from a hand to hand fight to a weapons one the first being zombieman's dual katanas versus shining lights blades which tokoyami noted was actually just the two parts of the bow on her back that shifted into blades he dubbed serrated sunlight . While shining light wasn't as proficient as zombieman in blademanship she still held her own fairly well, what truly intrigued him was that unlike dark shadow, shining light visibly showed signs of pain and her body would start to decompose itself into what appeared to be pure light sparks that floated around, during one of the final clashes zombieman had actually bisected her and with that her entire frame work simply dispersed into light and while it took a moment she eventually rematerialized right next to tokoyami ready to fight again so while she could be technically "defeated" in combat she would respond later on tokoyami thought making a note on it. The respawn timer was about 30 seconds which didn't seem long but in the heat of battle could be an eternity so he would definitely need to keep watch on that.
Given the sudden distance the fight turned into a ranges one that was versus zombieman's guns and shining lights bow the two of them were again practically even shining light was also able to deflect all of the bullets aimed towards tokoyami as well, she would counteract those attacks by firing shots from her crossbow on either arm firing off light arrows which he dubbed piercing light. The projectiles would clash in mid air and deflect harmlessly towards the ground the fight came to an ultimate head when shining light used the large bow on her back he dubbed Artemis bow and fired a strong shot of condensed light the strong attack took zombieman off guard and completely pierced his body and nailed him to a tree both tokoyami and sigismond were worried by that fact but zombieman true to his name shrugged it off pulling himself free and letting his body heal itself, he complimented his new powers abilities before he turned to sigismund to see what the little guy could do in comparison the day was friday so it was his third strongest monster in the bunch but from their test but he also knew that it would be the most welcoming of a challenge.
So tokoyami approached sigismund and told him what's about to happen and the boy related to him that his voice was also eager to try out after witnessing them battle. Sigismand activated the gas in his helmet which by uttering a code phrase "the lion sleeps at night." which had immediate effect and tokoyami was caught the boy as his body finally relaxed and fell to the ground and in another moment the flame lion came out with a roar it's mane was one of pure fire it's body was a beige color and its tail was a hardened magma and it's paws matched, it's shins sparked with a growing flame with every movement. Unsurprisingly to tokoyami the first thing the tiger did when manifesting was attack tokoyami it's claws sparked and soon was engulfed in flames before swiping down towards tokoyami but shining light was their to intercept completely halting the strike with her hands before pushing the lion monster away.
"Hmph guess the shadow creature really is gone." the monster spoke some sadness in his tone
"Indeed but we are not your opponent for the day…it is him." shining light said, pointing towards zombieman who waved at the monster and that was all the monster really needed to know and began his charge at the hero, part of tokoyami was worried for the environment given that they were in the woods and this monster was mostly fire based…the fight began with the lion using the same move a flame enhanced claw swipe zombieman countered the slash with his sword the two clashed for a moment testing each others strength tokoyami already knew who would win such a struggle as the lion was soo forced back once again back on four legs the lion reared back into position for a moment before unleashing a devastating stream of flames from his mouth that zombieman quickly dodged out of the way of and to prevent a fire from starting shining light quickly dashed in to intercept the attack using her serrated sunlight and spun them which dissipated the attack upon contact.
Zombieman turned his dodge into a quick roll that carried him towards the side of the lion which didn't react in time to his presence as zombieman kicked the creature in the side with a quick slight of the hand he unloaded a number of test shots at the monster hitting the creature six times before it collapsed to the ground. Despite the gory result, it still got up and was still willing to fight enshrouding it's body fully in flames and was about to charge at zombieman but halted a moment as it lost track of it's target and felt the barrel of his gun next to its head but that only stopped him for a moment as it continued with it's attack, although zombieman was once again quicker unloading multiple shots point blank into the lion's head before it could properly get it's attack off the lion fell down defeated and swiftly disappeared as sigismund woke up sporadically with a jolt. Tokoyami explained that similar to shining light when defeated or presumably killed his monster would return to the "dream realm" as sigismund would call it and the action would automatically wake him up and the monster would need time to repair itself and depending on the injuries sustained he would need to heal and recuperate. The group of three continued to train for a moment before traveling out leaving out on patrol through B-city not before sigismund and tokoyami discussed giving his "voices" names so that they could better understand each other after discussing it with his internal monster they decided that her name was to amaterasu which was the perfect name for the monster but decided to hold off on naming the others as tokoyami emphasized the point of having their opinions being heard when deciding such a thing.
Z-City
Ojiro was finally feeling better from his constant exhausted state which he assumed meant that his secondary tail was fully repaired at least he hoped it was. He was hoping to actually practice some more with it given that these past few days he couldn't work out with it with bang, although that would have to wait as today was one of his patrols day's he had actually did manage to convince both bang and bomb about his idea of doing hero work along with toru so that they could improve their ranking as well as the benefit of actually using their martial arts in combat which toru definitely could benefit from as well as her light bending abilities.
Midoriya on the other hand was still mostly focusing around his danger sense training and to better control of his power now that he could properly maintain his power just fine he wanted to work on constantly being in 100% and still pulling his punches obviously due to the danger of such training he couldn't try it on anyone besides bang or the very mountain they were standing on but he would take what he could get for now. This danger sense training has also started to see improvement. Thinking about his multitude of quirks even more and how he succeeded in the first test, he started to attempt to combine his quirks together and the first quirk he attempted to combine with his danger sense was smoke screen he had to admit that it generally didn't have that many practical applications for him to use it on which the sixth user didn't really complain about but he did respect him for at least attempting to work with his quirk. For now he managed to fix at least a partial flaw with the smoke screen in that he couldn't see through it as well as his enemies but now he could sense where the person in the smoke was at all times as long as he was standing still that is.
it still required a decent degree of concentration that he would need to work on to get down in combat completely as he doubted that there would be many occasions where he could just stop in the midst of battle but it was a good start he believed. The next part of his training was mostly going to be centered around combining his danger sense with his black whip he normally couldn't feel much of anything with them but if he could combine it with his danger sensed he believed that he could use them like some sort of trip wire and depending on his proficiency maybe even more. Today was mostly a light day due to the fact that ojiro wanted to go out patrolling and while normally he would offer to go out with him he didn't want to hog all the spotlight with him being in the S-class and he didn't want particularly like the aspect of being a third wheel in the couples patrols although he still worried about while they were out their not just them all of his friends really he knew uraraka was mostly safe she had texted him that she would been spending her time with sero and kirishima back at the association HQ but what were the others doing he wasn't sure but he needed to shake the thoughts from his head as he continued his training with bang the old man had taken him to a mountainous region where he could properly go all out without the risk of harming others.
B-city
Ojiro had walked over to bomb dojo by himself he didn't expect for charanko to accompany him on his patrol this time around but the reason was completely different from how he expected it do be, he originally thought the teen would simply be to scared to come with him but that turned out to be untrue instead the teen wanted to continue to just practice in preparation for his upcoming tournament surprising him with his dedication, ojiro could only hope to cheer his friend on in the advent that he makes it far but if he was being honest he doubted his friends chances of getting that far not only were other heroes that were participating like two A-class heroes but kaminairi's teacher as well volten who was previously rank 1 and he could just tell from what he saw of the man fight with sweet mask that he would be outmatched in any event that he faced off against them and there is no telling what other strong people exist in this world that aren't heroes he thought as he finally approached bombs dojo and picked toru up for their adventure hopefully it goes better than it did last time he thought as the two began to walk out of the forest but something was off he realized.
"You're going to be wearing your dojo uniform from now on?" ojiro questioned as he looked at her along with her traditional dojo uniform she also had on her skin suit so he could see at least from her legs up to her neck.
"Ugh…yeah, yeah I wouldn't want any accidents happening like last time." she said with a chuckle nervously rubbing the back of her neck, ojiro chucked almost as nervously as he replied.
"Yea…yeah I guess we wouldn't want that.." ojiro said thinking back to that day before his face began to redden sharply but his expression soon turned to pain as he felt toru slap him upside the head.
"Don't sound so disappointed about it…you …..you pervert." toru remarked a blush flushing across her face as Ojiro laughed a bit louder at her expense.
"Well sorry to disappoint you even further pervert but I'm gonna be getting an upgrade to my hero costume soon so you won't be getting any more peaks of me." Toru remarked with a sassy tone. Ojiro looked bashfully away as he scratched his chin.
"That's …thats great news actually..although won't you have to give up the whole invisible thing?" ojiro questioned
"That's what I thought as well pervert but the association said that they accounted for it so maybe they have something that could hide me." Toru responded and ojiro rolled his eyes at that name again as they finally cleared the forest.
"So is that my new nickname now?" ojiro asked
"Mmmhmm." Toru responded simply with a nod although he didn't see it. Ojiro simply sighed.
"Come on, it wasn't my fault that it happened, you could afford to cut me some slack." ojiro complained and toru just chuckled before coming up close to the boy and whispering in his ear.
"Well if you want to change it, how about I get to see you naked." Toru sensually remarked and ojiro immediately flinched back a blush, quickly returning to his face looking at the girl before turning away from her and quickly calming himself.
"You-your, just joking around again…aren't you?" ojiro replied nervously but when no response came from the girl not even a laugh or a chuckle he turned back to the girl her arms were on her hips and he couldn't see but she was no doubt staring at him as if waiting for a honest to god response…his brain completely froze thinking of what he should do but his body was automatic in it's response with him shaking his head and looking down at the ground.
"No…no …come on that's a bit ….much." ojiro said with hesitation he couldn't imagine being naked in front of her, she couldn't honestly ask him to do that and she says that he's the pervert? He thought
"Well that's too bad, guess the nickname stays for now. So let's go silver wukong, we have streets to patrol." she remarked simply as she went on ahead of him ojiro was a bit confused by the use of his hero name but toru turned around and cleared some things up for him.
"You are right, so I am gonna cut you some slack, I won't call you my little nickname in public just when it's the two of us around alright?" Toru remarked and Ojiro only smiled and nodded thinking that it was as good as he could expect.
As the two of them went out to go on patrol, the patrol was fairly tame in comparison to the last time most of the monster warning were already taken care of by a mysterious other group or party, toru speculated that it was likely zombieman and tokoyami crew doing most of the heavy lifting, toru offered that they should join them but ojiro denied it mostly due to it limiting their growth as far the association was concerned. Toru was bit surprised that he was taking bakugo's challenge to heart originally thinking that his reason for asking for these sorts of "patrol" days was so that they could fool around or act as makeshifts dates but she guessed she was asking to much from the blonde teen when she really thought about it. Two of them eventually ran into the three man posy and after some brief talking they decided to go their separate ways…ojiro and toru took off to the next closest city which was C-city and there they found more luck in fighting monsters. The first one they came across was a cactus monster that would bear hug it's victims giving them severe cuts and stabs some of its spikes even were poison leading to those infected becoming ill, it was for that reason the association wanted the monster to be captured alive so they could find an antidote from the spines, the mission was simple enough ojiro took the lead in this case mostly using his tail with a brand new tech mesh that completely allowed him to slam it down on his adversary completely knocking the creature out.
The next set of monster was more of a team effort from the two of them….the monsters ranged from full on humanoid animals to walking abomination of creatures mixed with technology, but the thing that really threw them for a loop was a tricky C-class bounty that went by just Kane …the criminal was like his name carried a cane with him that he seemed to use as a blunt weapon most but he surprised them both when out of the one of the ends and energy blast came out the attack nicked toru in the side making her fall back, ojiro was enraged by the action redoubling his efforts into his attack even using his awakening state to quickly aim-dodge the rest of the man attacks with the cane before punching him into the nearest wall indenting his figure into it before striking at the individual again and again cracking the wall and indenting him deeper and deeper until he felt a tug on one of his tails his body reacted quickly turning around to launch a punch at whoever it was but he had enough self control to realize it wasn't a threat but toru she had recovered and told him to stop but what truly stopped him wasn't her voice but that he could see her face again…he looked down at his hads to find hints of blood there and momentarily panicked but he was quickly calmed down by toru with a hug. kane was severely concussed and had many internal hemorrhaging and bleeding along with a few broken bones but the medics ensured that he would live and that he wouldn't be causing trouble for others much longer . toru's wound due to the nature of the attack was already cauterized so she didn't need to be helped as much other than some light patch up work but the atmosphere between the two heroes was tense as ojiro reflected on what he was about to do, even though toru said it was alright he still didn't feel right about his actions or his lack of self control in the moment. The two finished up their patrol shortly afterwards and went back towards bomb dojo as night began to fall for toru's extra classes.
A little break: watchdog man, tsu, tank tops
Shoji was a bit surprised when even despite his injuries that tank top philosopher still went out of his way to join him and tank girl on his assignment although going off both of their testimonies tank master still took the man's injuries which were healing remarkably faster than that of a regular person back in their world by assigning them to Q-city given that watch dogm man was there to take of any really problematic threats or threats in general going off asui's testimony, although he was curious on why watchdog man didn't really go after human criminal though. As the group journeyed towards the city and began to discuss why. Tank philosopher speculated that maybe he understands that some of the other heroes need something to do while in the city, tank girl took it a step further saying that maybe he simply couldn't do the task no matter how strong he is protecting an entire city by himself would be pretty difficult even tank master couldn't do it so someone like him probably couldn't either, but shoji didn't know about that he's talked to tsu about how fast watchdog man could be which was reconfirmed when they finally entered into the city and were immediately assaulted by the constant wind gust that blew through the streets as they patrolled.
The sudden wind gust stopped in front of their posse for a moment and he was prepared to be smelled by the dog costume wearing man as he continued he told him where tsu was and not having anything better to do the group of them decided to head over in that direction. The entire group while prepared to see her in the act of some heroic event were not prepared to see the girl's training costume, tsu was in the middle of disarming a would be robber by dangling him with her tongue from high above shaking the stolen possession free which allowed the victim to recover their things, after that was accomplished tsu then dropped the thief from above on his back despite the obvious pain he was in he still attempted to flee from the girl but that didn't last long as her tongue dashed out once again striking the man in the back hard throwing him off his feet and eating concrete once again and slid to a stop right in front of the police who waved at asui a thanks before taking the person away. The sound of suppressed laughter turned her back around to look at her as the tank girl couldn't hold in how ridiculous the girl looked in her get up even despite the stares both shoji and philosopher sent her way but she continued to ignore them as she approached the prone frog girl.
"I see that watchdog man is rubbing off on you." tank girl teased as she ran a hand through the makeshift suit fake eyes that lifted off of the girl's head.
"It was his idea to help me with my training. Ribbit" asui remarked simply.
"Well shouldn't come as much surprise going by how he operated." tank philosopher said he and shoji both walked up.
"Gonna assume it's something like weight cloth training like Iida?" Shoji asked and Tsu nodded.
"That and he wanted me to get more connected with my animal roots like he did." Tsu remarked.
"Oh I see and since you're like a frog he made you this? I wouldn't have taken the guy from someone that was good at stitching." tank girl said curiously.
"Me either but I hope it's actually helping me. I haven't really seen much improvement since I've been starting this style of training." asui remarked simply.
"Oh? how heavy did you start out with?" tank philosopher asked
"1 ton and I'm still their but it seems like I'm still not used to it yet, every time I feel like I'm getting the hang of it , it just feels like my progress just gets reset all over again. Ribbit" and tank philosopher raised his eyebrow at before approaching closer to the girl getting on his good side before lifting her up with his good hand, everyone was surprised by the action and tank philosopher seemed surprised himself if his widened eyes was anything to go by but shoji had his doubts that it was because he was able to pick up the girl that intrigued him.
"What are you doing? Put her down." tank girl said immediately as she recovered from her shock. And tank philosopher obliged putting the girl down but he ignored tank girl for the moment as he addressed tsu.
"You should just keep up the great work. I'm sure you'll get used to the weight eventually." he said with a wink before turning and dodging out of the way of a playful punch to the arm from tank girl.
"I was just checking the weight is all, a C-class handling one ton of weighted clothing is rather remarkable although it could be due to their mutations could have worked in increasing their strength as well, I remember the days when you started in the tank tops you were so cute struggling to lift those 300 lbs weight back at the gym." tank philosopher said with a chuckle dodging out of the way of another attack by tank girl who flushed with embarrassment.
"I'm surprised you were able to pick me up so easily, especially with the damaged arm and everything…whoever did that must have been something." Tsu remarked simply, this did make tank girl stop her assault on the olderman as she looked at his arm that was still in a cast still.
"Yeah, whoever it was…had to be pretty strong no matter how much I disliked this idiot, I can't deny his skill along with tank top vegetarian to boot. It's almost crazy to think about for just a regular guy." tank girl remarked
"Yes, I may have underestimated him being just a regular civilian but even my book said he was dangerous so I didn't hold back but he still embarrassed me." tank philosopher said, running a hand across his cast.
"Well, you guys are also just human right? So it shouldn't have been that much of a surprise to see a strong one right? Ribbit." asui asked
"Well normally strong people like that would become a hero or be a well known martial artist. Some random person on the street doesn't typically have the strength to take on two A-class heroes easily if tank philosopher depiction is to go by. The next time you guys meet him, I'm sure ..master would show him a thing or two." tank girl said with a pumped up fist.
"Next time?" shoji asked
"Yeah , while I can take the loss in stride the same can't be said for tank vegetarian he's still furious about what happened and definitely wants some payback and master being the kind person he is personally said he would escort him the case that he's able to find him again. No matter the reasons he still assaulted two heroes and if some rumors are to be believed maybe even more than we know of so he definitely should have been on the hero associations wanted board but he seems to be even tricker than we realize as no such person had turned up yet that me or vegetarian recognize as the culprit." tank philosopher explained.
"Don't you guys worry though, he made a mistake when he messed with the tank tops. We'll find him and stop him for good." tank girl said, slamming her fist into her palm to emphasize her point. Tank philosopher merely chuckled at that as he looked into his book.
"I just hope that in doing so we don't lose more tank toppers in the process." tank philosopher said ominously, causing tank girl to just sigh.
"Just because you got your but kicked doesn't mean master will he's super strong." tank girl said
"Not as strong as their friend it seemed." tank philosopher countered simply.
"Yeah that's true…for now at least he's gotten even more motivated lately to get stronger and you know how he was since last time." tank girl remarked
"Yeah that I do, tentocole I suggest you be prepared in the following weeks to come, master , probably going to work, everyone ragged for a while." tan philosopher said with a laugh
the group of four started to patrol the streets together the three of them were also surprised of the limitations of asui suit as well forcing the girl to hop around everywhere she went, tank girl offered to tell watchdog man that such actions were unbecoming of a lady and that he should revise his training plan for her but asui assured her that it was alright the only thing she found particularly annoying about it was mostly just the odd looks she gets every now and then but luckily for her it had started to die down some as she been wearing the training suit for a while now. They didn't come across too many issues on their travels around most monsters were taken care of by watchdog man who would occasionally come by and check up on them or most likely asui speculated that he was mostly coming for a treat or something like that. They had come across some petty criminals here and there, even one had a B-class bounty on a woman that went by the name of Clair but she liked o be called mistress glasses .
while she wasn't that much of a threat on her own she apparently had many allies under her beck and call the whole block seemingly came out to defend her but with their combined might they managed to pull through but the women had managed to get away in the ensuing struggle as for the people that helped her it was reveal that they were being compelled to help her by some mysterious force they remarked that the women's glasses had something to do with it their heart shape emitting a beam that completely made them open to her suggestions so they weren't carted off to jail for aiding a criminal and the group soon left after when the cops came to secure the situation. The group soon left to get some food and due to some of the damage sustained to his cast in their battles both members of shoji's squad left to head to a hospital. Leaving only shoji and tsu left. The two of them didn't really didn't really hang around much around each other so Shoji began the conversation just getting the girls thoughts about the world they currently found themselves in. The conversation soon after spiraled towards their world and what's happening back there.
"Do you think all this training we're doing will actually matter in the end? Ribbit." Asui asked suddenly.
"Every little bit counts." Shoji replied simply.
"But ultimately the final decision really relies on deku and all for one…the battle between those two will decide the fate of our world which makes our fights seem miniscule in comparison." Asui said a bit glumly and Shoji took a moment to think about that, in essence she was right whoever won between those juggernauts would likely decide the conclusion of the battle but he wasn't really in it for that.
"Well while your right about that but my stake in all this is a more personal one than the grand scale those two are at…..I wanted to talk to spinner actually, while he is a villain in every sense of the word…what he says still rings true…mutant quirk discrimination was a problem that was often overlooked and I can see how that pushed him to where he is now. While you are a mutant quirk user as well…your still, well mostly unidentifiable from a regular person.`` Shoji stated.
"I completely understand where you're coming from, back in middle school I actually had a friend that's quirk made her have the head of a snake and as you could guess that made her fairly intimidating to everyone around her but not to me I knew she was just a shy person at heart so after she started stalking me we became good friends. ribbit" asui replied with a smile thinking about those days.
"A snake friend and a crows interest…you sure know how to get along with your quirks natural predators well." Shoji said with a light hearted chuckle, asui blushed but caught on to what the boy said.
"What do you mean by 'crows' interest?" Asui asked but Shoji simply shook his head.
"It means what it means but do you have someone like that? For the villains I mean, someone that you can relate to? Or sympathize with?" Shoji asked and Asui took a moment to think about it, the only one that popped into her head was toga but the two of them shared nothing in common and all of her interaction with the girl only revealed how insane the girl actually was so she shook her head.
"No, not really…I'm sure they all had their own bad stories to tell but I don't believe that excuses them from their action they're currently committing. All I really want is to ensure that my family and friends are safe. Which is why I'm so worried about the battle between deku and all for one." asui said.
"You don't think he can win?" shoji offered
"I hope he can win, I want him to win, but I don't know for sure that he can…I believe in him a lot he has the heart of a true hero but will that be enough overcome such a monster someone with decades of experience under his belt with equal or greater power that midoriya possess?" Asui said and Shoji contemplated for a moment before responding.
"Your right …..but I still think even if he can't win alone, we can win together , with the help from the teachers and us even all for one can fall. So we need to keep getting stronger while we're here so when the time comes we're all ready to play our role in that victory." shoji said
"Right!" Tsu replied with a nod as the two shared a fist bump.
One shot, One kill: One shotter, Momo
Driveknight had momo undergo training from multiple gun wielding wielders at a time from now on instead of just focusing under zombieman to once again expand her abilities she has previously gone under gun gun and gasmask cowboy along with her training with the police force made her fairly confident enough in using sidearms and hands cannons in her hero duties. Just like before drive knight would have her familiarize herself with the hero's weapon before she actually went to train with them, she knew the basics ends and outs of one shotters weapon completely being able to replicate the sniper rifle without much issue the weapon wasn't much different from the one in there world she realized some of the internal components were changed and modified she believed to give the weapon improved propellent and internal recoil compensators helped firing the weapon in rapid succession without losing control of the gun, this especially helped with the bullets it fired being a souped up version of a this bullets being fired being more on the scale of bullet with multiple types of ammunition but the type favored by one shotter was a high explosive armor piercing round.
Even with all that just like with all the other weapons the heroes seem to be arm themselves with driveknight was able to upgrade them even further using his technological skill he was able to advanced the weapon even further the recoil compensators was improved immediately making the rifle little recoil being essentially recoilless, instead of regular propellent the weapon was shot by electromagnetic rails making it a rail gun if anything with that she no longer had to consider bullet drop well at least not from a distance that wasn't 4+ kilometers away the weapon was better in almost every way the only downside was that it weight was increased by a factor of three in comparison to what one shotter would lug around, the upgraded weapon was also somewhat longer in length making even harder to wield in close quarters the barrel could be shortened on demand to counter such an issue although the accuracy of the round takes a hit for it and driveknight didn't want her using the weapon around one shotter either wanting her to simply used the regular sniper mostly wanting her to pick up on his skills and intuition as a sniper which would help her the most, momo was glad for the cyborgs assistance but often internally questioned why he didn't share his technology with the world more often, it became incredibly obvious that certain people in this world was more technically gifted than others but they would hoard it to themselves rather than share…she was curious if it was something to do with this worlds past or something else entirely.
When one shotter came to pick her up he emphasized one thing straight off the bat with her.. As he gestured to his jacket sleeve with the word one shot written on his left arm and stated the rest of the familiar phrase said by sniper one shot, one kill which he meant to say that everytime he fired his weapons something will die and he wasn't going to put up with any of her saving monster "BS" as he referred to it as and while she understood why he was like that didn't make it any easier to really stomach. Unlike the rest of her teachers that essentially allowed her to walk around barehanded until the time was right to fight, one shotter wanted her to have the weapon on her at all times to feel the weight and to get her better accustomed to handling the weapon, the first stop of their adventure was predictably a gun range, he wanted to test out how good of a shot she was. Given momo has mostly been proficient in small arms she wasn't really comfortable on using a sniper rifle if anything she would have thought that driveknight would have pointed her towards traditional rifles and carbines not the complete opposite spectrum and as expected of such a change her accuracy on moving targets was fairly poor having to shift the weapons frame to accommodate for the moving target while maintaining proper hold of the weapon which she constantly struggled with. This was in complete contrast to one shotter who could completely move and fire with almost no drop off in accuracy, he was even able to jump and do flips while firing and still land his hits showing how proficient he was with his weapon, momo was completely impressed which even made it more impressive was that he did all of that without a scope on his rifle but she assumed that his mechanical eye on his right side would make up for the that deficiency.
Momo alternatively had better luck in her stationary test being able to land 80% of her shots practically with ease given that she knew all the specification of the weapons she was using combined with her knowledge of math she found the task of calculating the angles needed to fire on the target given differing elevations and distances fairly simple, although seeing that one shotter changed up her training to make her continuously switch her position before she fired again at a target and sometimes he would fire actually near her to simulate a combat environment these instances made up for most of her missed shots as she couldn't really concentrate on her target fully which one shotter said that she should work on. After finishing up at the range one shotter determined that while she had the skills to be a proficient sharpshooter but she wouldn't always have the luxury of keeping her distance like that but momo ensured him that she was plenty equipped for such a scenario summing a katana to make a point which the hero nodded at.
The two went on patrol in X-city it didn't take them very long to find monsters to hunt but most of them were quickly taken care of by one shotter even before momo had the time to get proper acquisition on the target. As they traveled one shotter explained to her the importance the sniper has in combat listing out the major elements that she needs to pay attention to the first major thing was environmental awareness paying attention to not only possible enemies but things you can use for cover as well as something you can prop your weapon on, the second was monitoring her equipment this involved simple things such as keeping in mind how many shots she had left or on her in general but with her ability he assumed that such issues wouldn't be a problem for her to maintaining her weapon and ensuring that it is fully operational at any given time even he had an issue where if he fires to much in rapid succession his sniper had the capability to jam, the third major element was optionally stealth the best advantage is the range of the sniper and one should utilize that to its full potential but even more than that , it allows her to choose and analyze her targets and pick out which one she should take out first. He went on to talk to her about a number of other things that matter as well such as mobility and having a calm steady heart in the midst of combat as the two continued their patrol.
The tournament approaches: Volten, Kaminari
Kaminari had his work cut out for him in days spent with volten most likely due to the tournament that was quickly approaching but part of him also believed that the man still felt some bitterness to what happened with sweet mask still but he would roll with it while the training was definitely tougher than he's been used to, it has been showing results however he been getting better and better at using the thunder thunder fist he was now fully able to do the thunder fist technique completely even deriving of other techniques from the move like lightning kick or shocking elbow as volten called them, the master was surprised by how quick he was able to pick up on the techniques but he owed that to volten as well their mediation sessions has really been working wonders in how he would control his flow of electricity it was like he had a whole new perspective on how it was done, that didn't mean he had complete control over it anymore than he normally did he still couldn't produce range attacks like he wanted to neither could he actually dawn the lighting armor that volten could which kaminari couldn't tell if the man was disappointed or actually….happy? that he couldn't?
But that didn't stop him from adopting his own version of the technique since he couldn't finely control his electricity to that state he elected for a different approach and after some discussion with jiro about frequency he came up with an idea of his own that he termed lighting modulation while he couldn't control his lighting enough to wear it like an armor he could control where it flew out of his body so picking up from where he left off where he would modulate it up and down, but he decided to do even more with it he would decide to focus on spinning the flow of where that electricity around himself creating a big ball of electricity the problem being the same as his normal indiscriminate shock in that he couldn't really use it around people so it was in practicality it was just a fancier version of his indiscriminate shock just minus the indiscriminate part, his modulation so far can take the form of a dome and a wall, while both were defensive option the wall could be used more effectively around people he's trying to protect taking lessons from his water walking lessons and how the properties of his electricity works he could generate a wall of electricity with him somewhere out with him in the center, the dome worked in a similar but less focused fashion and while he wasn't sure if he could do it just yet, he was curious if with enough time he could control the flow enough to avoid the people that would be near but for now that was just a pipe dream for him but he was sure if he could make that dream a reality.
That wasn't all he's been working on with the man, he's also been testing the limits of his lighting god form, his electric sense was still there and as effective as ever. He wanted to test some of his other moves in it and they all still worked simple enough but he wanted to test out his electric based attacks. The lighting that coated him could perform the same task of volten's lighting armor and so he started with that trying to manipulate it and he had limited successes he was able to make it larger and partially extend and manipulate it into limited shapes. But his greatest improvement with the form was that his lighting he could actually touch and feel his own electricity when he expelled it and taking enough of it together he could actually throw the lighting in an attack he aptly named lighting throw , it was his first ranged attack so he was proud to use it as often as he could when in the form so he could get it just right, after testing this new ability he found that he could not only grab his own power but also real lighting he was hopping with joy every time he could "catch" one in his hands due to his sensitivity in the matter he could feel the power that coursed through the bolt and he would unleash it back into the air or store it for later use.
Discovering the ability to do that got his attention back to his equipment as well now that he could alternatively use his lightning in a bottle to actually throw the lighting that he contains for a much stronger attack that he could do normally but that meant he would have have less chances to power up and even less of a chance to maintain his power so he didn't really know he's upgraded to having 10 capsule now but he guessed an actual downside to him improving so much meant that the necessary power for him to enter into his super form also increased now he needed 500 million volts of electricity to just transform into the state which under a perpetual storm was easy enough he could draw energy from it all day long but in a city it would be tricky without harming the infrastructure, the typical lightning bolt hit with 300 million which meant he needed nearly two of them just to power up which meant in essence he still only had five canisters in total, although not always some bolts could reach even higher he read up on but playing with the lighting could be dangerous even for himself. Driveknight also upgraded his equipment combining both of his launchers into one machine when volten noted how unwieldy having both of them were and he agreed now he only had launcher that he called spectrum it possessed all of the same abilities of his previous launcher in one and was slightly trimmed down to more fit with his arm silhouette.
the disk he fired were changed into probes that were small and could be launched more discretely than previously bringing the size down to that of a earring or wireless earbuds another thing that was better was that it's capacity was increased to one billion volts of electricity which divided into the 10 capacitors meant that each was 100 million volt of electricity so if he had a full stock in combat he would be able to sustain himself fairly with if properly equipped or he could spend 100 million on his drive shots which were that powerful blast he had from before that even managed to damage that large turtle, he was progressing smoothly in his training all things considered but now he just needed to put it into practice out in the field which he would be getting his chance as for the last week before the tournament volten wanted to focus his mind on the tournament and said that in his stead he should focus more on his hero work but to make sure he wasn't slacking off with his martial arts his two appetencies would keep a eye on him and maybe he could learn something form them to improve himself, max's hyper karate and genji's duel baton style were essentially off shoots of his martial arts with their own spin on it to make up for neither being able to properly use the thunder thunder fist and that he should attempt to make an offshoot of his own that he can truly master and call his own. Leaving Kaminari with much to think about as he headed home.
Tortoise and the two hares: flash, Iida, mineta
Mineta was still continuing his training regime under and even though he believed that it had started to become a bit tedious, while the training itself wasn't that much of a problem all on it's own, the problem with monsters still persisted there had been plenty going around so far but he never was able time meaning he simply restarted his training from scratch each time and he didn't have the option anymore of just ignoring the alarm and continuing with his training when he asked king about why his training was comparatively light as kirishima and sato put it. he didn't give much of a response but he did add on that he was being lenient with him in giving him the option of responding to threats and that now he should always respond to threats no matter how far and that he couldn't continue with his training until he confirms with his own eyes that the monster or situation was taken care of before he could resume even if that meant that the incident was happening on the other said of the city and at that point when he continued to run back and forth so much he wished he just kept his mouth shut.
He still continued with his training nonetheless and he even created a system, running around the city so much would only serve to burn him out quicker whether that be to continue on with his training or if in the case he actually caught up to the monster that was rampaging so he found a way to bypass all the running while still practicing having been around aoyama when he was still learning all about angles with his laser taught him a few things, so he set up a list of pop off orbs that he would scatter around the city high enough that it wouldn't disturb the general public but low enough so that he could bounce to them so he practiced with his grape launcher and before even starting his training would go around and planting his pop off orbs in place where he could start to best jump around, he ensured these orbs were of the highest quality being able to last a whole day before they finally drop and disintegrate.
The system wasn't entirely perfect; he needed to work on his angle an bit and he had to time his jumps accordingly and in the case that for some reason someone else got in his way he was definitely just going to crash into the ground with no way of altering his course, he didn't have to worry about crashing into building on his test runs as he could just use more popoff orbs to stop his crash. While working on that he also been thinking about other special moves he could come up with his quirk he already had the sticky shield where he would combine a number of popoff orbs into a large shield for himself or his bouncy shoes where he would attach two popoff orbs into compartment into his feet, these compartments were similarly coated with the same anti clothing fabric that his gloves and launcher was made of and would allow him to bounce higher but he wanted something more offensive but he couldn't really think of anything that his popoff orbs could do offensively maybe that just was the limit of his quirk, it was meant to capture and detain not wound so he would always just be someone on the sidelines he thought again as he finished his preparation around the city and headed back to his place in the park.
He was surprised to find that Iida was their along with his teacher flash, he was a bit thrown off that Iida was forced to walk around completely on his hands and when mineta explained what he was doing in the park flash saw it as the perfect opportunity to continue to push Iida around this making him do mineta's entire training regime just using his hands instead of regular push ups Iida had to do one handed standing push ups the difficulty was immense not did he have to push all the weight he had on which was in excess of 2000 kilograms he also had to balance that weight enough to do it consecutively in a row without falling over, instead of squats he had to do the same but inverted with his legs while maintaining his balance, and this continued for most of the exercises of course a part of mineta felt real bad for the class president and it really started to click for him why the guy was always so beat tired recently when they would all get home being one of the first to knock off and head to bead if this was what he had to get to, of course another part of him wish his class president wasn't here in the moment as every time he messed up would mean that he as well would have to restart his current exercise and his same rule of monsters applied to them as well forcing them to restart all over again as soon as a monster warning was heard the only good side was that with Iida with him getting to a monster sight was quicker than ever even with his pop off orb system and with Iida help subduing the monster were easier than ever with Iida's power and his pop off orbs they were capable of capturing two monster back to back both of which weren't much one being a tiger level threat and the other being a wolf of course flash simply waited along where they were originally started stating that such threats were a waste of his time and while mineta would have complain Iida took it in stride stating that it was probably better that way as he would undoubtedly kill the monsters.
the two monster weren't particularly special in any regard one of them was an simple human monster he resemble that of yeti but it's face was more similar to an old tiki mask that sprouted small flames above its head, the creature was very simple to take down a kick to the head from Iida followed up closely by mineta using his pop off vineyard to subdue the creature allowed them to catch the monster fairly easily, the second monster was more tricky as befitting of a tiger level threat the creature was strong, it was a large armadillo type creature with a hard outer shell mixed with a sort of fungus like substance that emerged from every crevice of its body, to be honest they didn't know if capturing the creature was at all a smart decision it looked to be in some sort of pain and the fungus could be contagious or spread from its host but it still attacked the surroundings well enough to force them into action, Iida struck the creature again and again as he zoomed past it trying to find a opening while mineta created a large ring of pop off orbs to catch the creature after Iida successfully lured the creature into it but despite it's capture the association wasn't taking any risk and instead of the usual bus that would transport monsters it was an extermination squad fully loaded out with gas mask and sealed suits..they took the monster into the van and then burned the inside completely educing the monster to ash, the stench before carting the remains off. Iida and mineta didn't blame them who knew what that fungus was and Iida ran multiple diagnostics of his suit to see if he was contaminated either but his suit had nanited that would push grime and stuff of that nature off of it to keep it clean.
The duo came back to the park where flash had awaited them, while not seeming to move Iida knew better than that, the reason they came to this city in the first place was because of a mission that the association assigned them a drug king that had gotten little too abrasive in his dealing recently that they ordered flash to take out and which he did..Iida asking them man if he accomplished his mission while they were away and the blonde merely nodding before gesturing for them to continue their practice, Iida gave a dark look before doing what the man said, ignoring mineta's curious gaze and just getting back to work the two finally completed their exercises as Iida and flash took their leave soon after mineta bounced around the city but having no luck with monster sightings decided that stopping some regular petty criminals would have to suffice for now or at least he hoped king would let it suffice for now s he headed back to kings apartment.
A shining star: Child emperor, Sweet mask, mina, jiro, aoyama
Jiro and mina were back in child emperors laboratory, after talking things out with toru for the past two days she's been able to get over her funk that's been bugging her recently while she hasn't completely figured out her feelings for kirishima yet with the help of toru, uraraka, and Jiro she been slowly unraveling it bit by bit. she has been making an effort in trying to get the notion that she wasn't at least interested in him out of his head as subtly as she could anyways, she still wanted to figure things out for herself before committing to anything that could possibly make things weird between them but at the same time she didn't want to run the risk of him falling for someone else…especially if things that someone was from place that he wouldn't be able to come back to or see perhaps ever again it would likely only lead to grief if anything. She knew the red headed teen enough to know that he wouldn't be like sero, his "relationship" with Jackie was supposed to be extremely casual more like a summertime fling if anything due to that vary nature of them not knowing how long they would be here for and if things looked worse in terms of their time table than it could blossom into something more than what it was if they lasted that long that was. Jiro disapproved of this line of thinking however saying that she was just going to be stringing kirishima along and she was just attempting to find a Nobel reason to justify it which….she couldn't really deny and that did make her reconsider a few things.
So she only left it at getting closer to Kirishima and spending more time with him and putting the thought in his mind that she would be interested in him by commenting how good they are for each other and how no matter what happens they would always be "horn buddies" which the both of them appreciated. Mina having had time to clear most of her mind funk up. She's been doing better in her classes; she even got new headphones like Jiro's and forte's child emperor upgraded it have an even less likely chance of falling off during combat as well being capable of resisting her acid which was a definite requirement for her, the headset also had multiple hearing options that could dial in how her headphones worked even working as a surround sound speaker if she wanted it to, child emperor wanted to ensure that she wouldn't make the same mistake that forte headphones had where he would completely lose himself into his music and be incapable of hearing anything in his surroundings so certain sounds were amplified for her if the situation called for it such as people screaming or car horns which was something that forte had difficulty with in his hero work.
The headphones also worked as another form of projectors for her acid she stored in there and it would shoot out of the vents located in her front and back and of course she wanted the headset to be mostly pink but also with a hint of dark blue highlights. With the introduction of her headphones she could now formally be apart of the rhythm rhythm style, while forte had been taken it easy on her for the past few days mostly just working on her cardio and stamina to build her up to the martial arts she now needed to learn the same move she's been practicing before with the added weight of her headset which she at first would assume wouldn't have been that much an issue but even the slightest amount of extra weight then normal can throw off her rhythm and lead her to falter in her stance so she had to relearn the basic all over again as the two continued to practice luckily this time mina could listen to her own music the entire time.
Jiro on the other hand was still workshopping with child emperor trying to work on creative ways to continue to use her abilities while her new arm mounted amplifiers were great and did offer her good range a part of her missed the creative freedom that her traditional amplifiers offered her she technically she didn't have to use her whole hands to use them and she couldn't use her heartbeat wall as effectively as she wanted so bringing these complaints to child emperor he modified her gear while maintaining the traditional system he had implemented he had given her an additional option of sticking her earphone jack further up just like she used to and use the same abilities but they don't have the same potency that they would on her arms but restoring her normal capabilities isn't all that the child prodigy did he also created mintured devices that would store her vibrations and unleash allowing her to produce a host of new skills like the sound cage which maintained a thick layer of vibrating sound that would not only block an designated area but also muffled the sound of anything inside of it while it likely could be used to capture monsters it also could be used more locally to muffle the sounds she or a group of people made. He gave her some sound grenade capsules that worked similar to her concussive shot but even more powerful as the device would expel the sound out in one specific direction instead of over an area.
Jiro also wanted to work on her leg amplifiers she thought them being in such a fixed position facing forwards not only made them an easy target to be disturb but also making them very niche in their use so she wanted to make them seem more modular and adaptable to situations by allowing them to rotate and change position, child emperor was somewhat able to address this issue but he couldn't strictly modify it the existing amplifiers instead opting to just add more of them along the sides and bottom of her feet which allowed her to "fly" and attack at the same time. Kaminari had explained that she kinda reminded him of a certain American iron comic book hero he read about in his scans of the internet while deku said she reminded him of the hero airjet. She wouldn't lie to herself that her massive jumps that she could pull off with her amplifiers were fun to do so taking it to the next level with full on flight seemed like a logical next step besides the ability to take to the skies is a fairly powerful ability in combat especially if she was going to be a ranged fighter for the most part it would allow her to create distances and escape some hairy situations if it called for it….and she did have thoughts of flying that idiot around some places, she thought with a tiny blush on her face but than small laughter..as she began to imagine them fighting together she using him like she did in the usj incident with using him like human stun gun but in this instance a large eclectic bomb.
But her smile immediately vanishing thinking about that incident again and the reason it occurred someone had been leaking information to the league about them not only once but twice again during their summer time training each time they could have been killed and that's not even thinking about the potential third time with all for one attacking them at UA before they left…whoever it was that was the traitor she wouldn't forgive whoever it was…she could possibly imagine what type of monster would be ok with sicking killers on mere students let alone all might the most caring and nicest hero she's ever met…it really grinded her gears but the thought about the past and the traitor left her as a surprise visitor came into the lab for the day…it was aoyama and his mentor sweet mask while aoyama tried to be sweet about what they were there for it became incredibly obvious what really the two were their to discuss, thanks to Jackie she was better able to get a hold of the whole web situation and popular social media sites and media platforms but her song had been sweeping the waves around and a number of the comments probably spurred on by the interview they had, had suggested that she and sweet mask do a song together and that's what they were probably there for and her immediate answer was obviously no sinning in front of a crowd of dozens to a few hundred was nerve racking enough but thousands of people was just out of the question for her as she was now…even though she's been working on it, it just seems like a huge step up that she wasn't fairly comfortable and prepared for but if sweet mask wasn't a conniving sweet talker of a man seeing that he couldn't intimate the girl into obedience he played to her strengths…he remarked that she wouldn't have to be on stage with him and that she would only be a background singer and his persistence eventually wore the girl down..the concert was in the coming month and he would email her the song and just as quick they came they left out again leaving Jiro to just run her head with worry about the days to come she had a little over a week to memorize the song she thought she breathed a large sigh as her mind started to race and she calmed herself down by thinking about the dumb pichu again and his dopey grin she texted him to see where he was as her and mina was headed home and she was surprised to find that he was in the HQ hospital?
After action report: Bakugo, Todoroki, Koda, Kaminari, Jiro, Sero,
Jiro and mina were the last ones to enter the hospital room to find the twitching bodies of aki, todoroki, and bakugo just laying there on the beds.
"What did you do to them?" Jiro said, looking straight over at kaminari who raised his hands in mock defense.
"Why did you assume I had anything to do with it? This wasn't me!" kaminari immediately defended
"It was a monster." koda remarked as he hesitated to run a hand over torax just moving his hands close to the tiger would arc bolts of what looks like white electricity around their bodies.
"Oh… to both bakugo and todoroki? That monster must be tough." Jiro remarked as she took a glance at them…the good things was they were still alive but they were completely immobilized, they're bodies was barely listening to them and instead twitching in strange ways, the tiger had some better luck apparently although its fur was charred black around one it's paws but the wounds were already starting to heal over.
"Apparently it was another dragon level threat that our teachers were supposed to take care of but it seems like they ran into it first and this was the result. They have been like that for the last couple of hours, doctors say that it could take years for them to expel all that excess energy, and reclaim full control of their bodies but they believed they could speed up the process by draining it for themselves , had them hook up to some sort of machine like a generator. Guess they know how kaminari feels to charge their phones all the time. " Sero commented from the side. Ending with a slight chuckle And Jiro merely nodded.
"What are you doing here then?" Jiro questioned to kaminari
"Well as sero said I know the best about draining energy better than anyone so I thought I would offer my assistance to get them back on their feet quicker." Kaminari said with a smile.
"And they're still like that?" jiro questioned
"Well I haven't started yet. They had to clear all their own stuff away first." kaminari said as he first approached bakugo holding out his spectrum launcher just to see what type of power they were dealing with as he set the launcher to absorb and touched bakugo he was shocked when the thing was half full by the time he pulled back… bakugo body immediately stopped twitching and he saw the explosive teen in the most relaxed position he's ever scene since knowing the guy..he didn't move or speak but he tested his body first slowly moving his hand followed closely by his arm than repeating the process with his feet and legs he got into a more comfortable position but stopped short of sitting up feeling content for the moment to just lie there. Kaminari continued on his next target being todoroki placing the machine down onto him and repeating the process the machine was completely full at this point as todoroki stretched his body out and began testing it again similar to bakugo.
Now given that his machine was completely busted he had to physically absorb the energy from torax with his own power he began to absorb it and immediately got overwhelmed and had to transform just to keep the power from going out of control, he continued to pull the energy and instead of absorbing it just played with it through his hands…a unique thing about him was that unlike his usual yellow lighting that would surround him this one was of pure white along with the power that he was pulling form torax when he finally managed to extract all of the energy from the large tiger he asked for sero to open a window he had managed to condense the energy into a large long bolt of lighting that he threw out and up into the air the energy immediately spread out and exploded outwards brightening up the dark knight for a moment before returning to normal. All three of the patients were starting to get used to their bodies again and Todoroki explained what happened to them while bakugo mostly remained silent in contemplation. With everyone more or less restored they were about to go their separate ways sero and koda had been planning to do somethings while bakugo had his training to go to but that was all put on hold as Iida asked for an emergency summon of everyone back to the house.
Deliberations: Class 1A
Everyone began to filter into the living room as Iida took center stage, kaminari was still in his white powered up state as he sat down with everyone else most of the conversation before the discussions started was actually focused towards tokoyami and dark shadow which had returned.. Tokoyami described it as the sun was setting, shining light slowly began to get drawn to him and eventually fuse back into him and became dark shadow but as Iida took the stage all eyes were on him as he kept the situation as short and concise as he could.
"I called this meeting to discuss more about deku's revelation from a week prior…I have recalled some information that I think would be important to share with you all….no(he shook his head) it would be more accurate to say that I remembered at the moment but decided to withhold the information so not to cause even more fear of what's happening in our world. But the speculation on the horn that this apparition of all might possess is definitely likely to be eri's, (he waited for the gasp of shocks to wain down before continuing) I know this for certain because that being had told me "If you hope for your brother to be healed by the girl, I would crush it now, she will not have that power by the time you see her again." which can only mean it was stolen and only one person is capable of that that we know of." Iida finished and with that the class was silent for 2 minutes before anyone said anything.
" how Do we know if that being was telling the truth or not? ribbit. " asui remarked but it wasn't Iida that answered her but midoriya he was currently laying his head on uraraka's shoulder his expression was completely depleted as he cuddled closer to the brunette girl and his downtrodden voice matched.
"It isn't….before I was pulled out it was going to say something about all might and how he was in trouble and he'd been captured so if it was telling the truth about that then, it has no reason to lie to Iida about this." Midoriya said simply his hair was covering his eyes as he tightened his grip around uraraka.
" Thank you for telling us this, it's better this way." uraraka added on
"There is also something I would like to discuss, although unrelated to what you all are talking about." torax said, suddenly making everyone turn to the tiger.
"I think that was it so, feel free to go on." momo said
"The monster that we encountered today said something interesting while you all were indisposed…it mentioned that it was looking for a meeting point for a group of monsters." torax replied simply.
"Are you saying that it could be a connection between this pick up point and the coordinated monster group from before?" momo questioned
"It also mentioned how humans "won't have much time left." as well like the monster you described previously." torax replied with a nod.
"interesting ..what do you think this means?" tokoyami asked
"Nothing good that's for sure if that guy managed to get involved with them… a dragon level threat only being apart and not leading the group does that mean there are monsters stronger in this group?" koda mentioned adding that grimacing thought to the mix.
"I'll inform zombieman of this discovery. he hasn't been able to find any clues about what's been happening but this is a big tip if we know where this pick up point is we may find their base of operation from there." tokoyami mentioned, the class discussed some more about this mysterious monster group and agreed to keep a lookout for anything strange that would have been happening around them or if any monster mention anything and soon enough everyone began to go their separate ways the normal night owls went out to go train again not without some tag along in bakugo's case.
Koda, Aki and Sero went deeper inside the association HQ to where the captured monsters were located… Koda was nervous about this given torax wasn't here and he was especially nervous that sero was adamant on going into the enclosure by himself saying that if others went into the enclosure it likely wouldn't work out too well for them, like he was immune to the monster wrath somehow… the two finally got out to the monster door and waited outside for a moment as sero attempted to build up the nerve to go inside.
" Why are you doing this exactly? Do you have a death wish?" the ghost inside him said.
"I just want to check up on him, see if he's doing alright. Seems only fair the kid potentially lost his entire species just a month ago."
"It is for that reason that it has the greatest reason to kill you, given the listing on its cell is that of a demon even I won't be able to protect you from it." sero snickered at that
"Woah there don't wanna sound like you actually care now do you?"
"As I said before I don't want to die an embarrassing death and you jumping into a shark's den qualifies as such." the ghost said in agitation but Sero knew it was a bluff . Ever since that memorial the ghost has been more silent lately and at least a tad bit more cooperative with him, not trying to stab every strong person he saw at least which sero found was a bonus as he would take the most pain from the inevitable failure. He never questioned the ghost on why but he assumed the ghost was just starting to warm up to him but he knew that was a lie or at least not the entire truth.
" Look trust me, I got a feeling I won't be immediately torn to shreds." sero remarked
"Immediately huh?" the ghost replied simply and sero chuckled one more time before he opened the door and he was surprised that the first thing that greeted him was a large heatwave, koda noted that unlike the other pins this one had an air lock before actually entering into the enclosure fully. He watched as sero stepped in and the view inside showed the shark monster on the other end of the enclosure away from the door, koda was partially surprised that the enclosure looked to be one more suited for an lizard instead of an aquatic creature with heat lamps and sand and the only source of water being a mid size pool in the corner where the shark was sitting by.
Sero entered into the enclosure and took a hesitant step forwards lord great white didn't move an inch from his position that was until sero said something and than the movement was immediate almost to fast for him to track as the shark monster had a hand around his neck forcing him back into the door bulkhead but despite everything sero resisted not only the ghost inside him that was going to lash out with his opposite hand but also waved back at koda to signify everything was alright, although he wasn't so sure of that. The shark creature on the other hand was looking to be about to bite his head off but looked at him for a moment instead and unceremoniously threw him to the other side of the room slamming him into the wall. He shook his head to reorient himself as he went to stand back up.
"See, we're still intact." sero chided internally
"For how long is the question." the ghost responded back annoyed
" Well hello to you too. Little , well I guess I should say big guy…you guys sure do grow up fast." sero said cracking his back as he stood to his full height and looked at the monster again he was tall easily being around 8 ft tall but that was short compared to the picture bakugo had of him
"What are you doing here?" The monster said looking at him from across the enclosure sero could see the claw marks all over the enclosure.
"Just wanted to check in on you seeing if you were doing ok." Sero reminded simply, the monster snarled at that before responding.
"Checking in? Do you even know what I've done?" the monster questioned baring its sharp teeth towards him in obvious threat which sero wouldn't lie he was scared by but given how he was still alive right now he assumed the monster didn't want him dead well at least not yet. So he tried not to show or indicate the fear he was feeling as he replied.
"I…I know what you did ….I went to the funeral actually….but I was also there for what we did ….to you soo." sero remarked and flinched as a beam of water nearly graced his head.
" Be careful how you speak human..the only reason you still draw breath is due to me repaying the favor of saving my life…I also acknowledge your attempts of trying to spare the bloodshed but that won't save your race from me exacting that same pain to them." lord great white remarked and sero nervously chuckled at that.
"He reminds me of you." sero said internally
"Will that really work out though? I mean…not to diss you or anything but there are some pretty strong humans out there in the world even if you started rampaging again it won't do you any good..someone would just kill you eventually and then your species will truly be gone. Wouldn't that just be a waste?" sero tried to sympathize and the monster merely snarled again before changing the subject.
"Why are you here?" it asked again
"As I said I'm just here to check up on you…do you need anything…I know a guy." Sero said in a hushed tone jokingly.
"There is nothing that you can- ….in fact there is.. The corpse of the deep sea king I want it." lord great white remarked simply, sero was a bit confused by the offer he definitely assumed that he would have wanted something to do with his enclosure but he guessed not, the old kings copse what could he want with that? Well, Koda did tell them that monster got stronger when they ate other monsters so maybe he was just looking to get stronger because of what he said or he just wanted to see his dad again.
"I highly doubt there that sentimental" the ghost said.
"You never know." sero replied
"I'll see what I can work out…for the meanwhile try not to give them even more reasons to kill you, alright? Surprised that they didn't to give back to the navy members honestly.`` Sero remarked as he made his way to the door. Great white said nothing in response as he left.
Sero went out and quickly talked to Koda about what he needed and the two soon went back home.
Bakugo was a bit irritated that kaminari was following him towards his training area along with his girlfriends ears but he allowed all for the simple fact that kaminari in his new powered up state was getting a little to big for his britches in sis opinion he explained to him that when he was knocked unconscious the other day, silver chain had knocked him out as well when he was laughing at his pain, even teasing that the action was her being protective of him, teasing some perhaps romantic tension there.
"I simply tested if you would have fared any better under the same circumstance." a voice suddenly called from the halls as silver chain dropped down from the ceiling, frightening kaminari as he hid behind bakugo, Jiro merely rolled her eyes but she glanced at the girl, she was fairly stunned by her appearance by layering how she actually looked in comparison to now that mass-reducing clothing was no joke she thought.
"If you were able to avoid the attack you would have a right to criticize dynamite but you didn't you failed as well." silver chain remarked simply.
"Oh yeah how about you try it with me now? I'm powered up and ready." Kaminari remarked, puffing out his chest. Silver chain looked over to bakugo for instruction to proceed and he simply nodded his head and with that done the four of them entered into the training area.
Bakugo got busy working on stretching and getting loose especially after that monster attack, while also going over some of silver chains mediation techniques although he was distracted by the sounds of kaminari getting beat all over the place. While he did find time to mock and enjoy himself, Jiro was right there alongside him. The match began easily enough where silver chain distracted kaminari before going with the same attack she did before and it had the same result however given kaminari's knowledge of the blow combined with his electric sense he was just spared enough not to be completely knocked out from the attack he was sent flying in the direction of the outer wall instead but he corrected himself and launched back at the girl, she easily dodged out of the way of the kick sidestepping the blow and striking him in the gut which sent him towards the air, his eclectic sense couldn't pick up the clone she made but he could catch a glimpse of the liquid metal model heading for him allowing him to put a cross block up to block the punch aimed for his face.
the force of the blow still being enough to send him rocketing back down to the ground. He flared his electricity and charged back at the women who did not move or react instead simply relying on her clones to do the fighting for her, forcing Kaminari back into a corner, kaminari flared his electricity but the liquid metal clones completely ignored the attack and pressed on unimpeded he needed to find some opening so he grabbed a couple of the stands of lighting he created and tossed them towards the real girls body just as he jumped focused his lighting and jumped high into the air. Silver chain dodged each one before throwing something back at him..it was a rock surprisingly enough striking him directly in the head dazing him and knocking him off balance allowing the clone to drag him back down towards the ground tossing him towards each other before finishing the attack with a drop kick that sent him spiraling down into the earth kicking up a bunch of dirt and dust and while bakugo was still laughing jiro got a bit worried but that changed when kaminari suddenly emerged from the smoke and blitzed towards the women, she didn't move as he approached as the clones were coming down towards him but he used his lighting modulation: dome to halt them at least for a moment, the women finally moved back and allowed kaminari to chase her around before blitzing the man through his dome covering part of her arm in metal and striking him in the gut sending him careening into the wall again where this time he slumped over unconscious upside down. Jiro was stunned by the display as she lost track of them as they ran around but bakugo seemed to be in a happier mood from watching the spectacle.
she may have thought she heard him say some words of praise towards kaminari as well but she couldn't quite tell given the next sound was giant flash of light as all of the energy remaining in kaminari exploded outwards luckily silver chains clones protected from the assault and once that all died down, kaminari was in his brain fried mode which jiro used as an opportunity to drag him off. With kaminari and any other distractions out of the way, silver chain and bakugo got to work. Although still recovering from his forced inactivity he had hoped that it wouldn't affect him too much to the point where the girl would notice but that was a pipe dream for the eagled silvered eyed women who stopped their training a bit over half way through.
"Something is wrong, your movements are a bit more uncoordinated than how they normally are." the women addressed.
"I'm fine…just a run in with a monster that's all." bakugo responded waving her off, although he was curious how she would fare against it, she was about as strong as 80% midoriya but would that be enough to take on a dragon level threat?
"In fact the monster was actually a dragon level believe it or not." bakugo said, like it was something to be proud of even though he just got tossed aside, the women just looked at him for a moment before replying.
"I assume you had help then? I would be shocked to see you still alive if you fought this creature yourself." silver chain remarked stoically, making bakugo grit his teeth in anger for a moment.
"Like you would have done any better, have you ever fought a dragon level threat before?" bakugo argued back but his anger turned to surprise when the girl simply nodded her head.
"Only once before, the S-class were all away on a hot springs adventure leaving only the A-class to take care of it while most of them faltered, I fought the beast in combat and succeeded in eliminating it." she remarked simply.
"So you just waited until it was tired out and then struck the final blow? That's pretty cowardly." bakugo mocked dismissively.
"Incorrect…the A-class heroes fought valiantly but they couldn't even flinch the beast. I waited for all of them to lose before I fought it so that I wouldn't be fast tracked to the S-class. The official story is that we accomplished it as a group of 20 A-class members." bakugo was surprised and angered by the feat.
"Some of those members could have died due to you holding back."
"Perhaps. It is important for the clan to keep tabs on the association without drawing too much attention; the A-class is the perfect vessel for such avenues." silver chain said simply. Bakugo merely sucked his teeth as he began to think about his fight with that monster, he could owe his life to that sonic ninja as even todoroki needed torax to protect him from that first initial shockwave. Which begged the question why did she let him go?
"Well I guess you could say I owe my life to you. that ninja you let go on the beach helped me survive the encounter." bakugo stated.
"How fortunate." the girl replied simply so she wasn't going to deny it.
"Why did you let him go? Is it because he has an S-class bounty?" bakugo asked
"yes." the girl said simply, bakugo could see that small fire in her eyes as she responded…there definitely something more to it than that he figured but he would let it die down for their.
"So your loyalty to your clan is more than that of it to the association?" bakugo asked flatly.
"Yes." she instantly responded, bakugo mentally kept that in mind for whenever the situation called for it.
"Speaking of which, the clan wanted to know more about your civilization and what it was like to live in a super powered society." silver chain asked before going over and getting some pen and paper that she had stashed away. Bakugo obliged at least this time he didn't really have to lie to the girl just tell her everything he knew about the society he lived in although having to amend the parts where "failures" are carted off to different planets took some fine mental gymnastics on his part that even he had to remember to write don somewhere unless she catches him in a lie.
"Your society reminds me of the villages in a way indoctrinating kids into becoming soldiers." silver chain remarks drawing all of bakugo thoughts to a close as he stared questioningly at the girl.
"The hell you on about? We don't indoctrinate anybody…everyone has their own choice of profession.`` Bakugo responded gruffly.
"Yes but heroism is the thing that gets the most attention, becoming a hero is the only way for a person to legally use their unique trait that they were given at birth and heroism is the only route to train such an ability as well. It would make sense that many people would want to experience what makes them unique compared to the other person and would like to stay away from the minority of people who don't have anything unique about them like the remaining 20% of others. Why did you want to become a hero?" silver chain explained before asking that question and bakugo opened his mouth to respond before closing given that his answer would just prove her point.
"I still wouldn't call it indoctrinating…it's just popular" bakugo said simply and silver chain simply nodded at that before finishing her writing and the two continued on with their practice unlike usual bakugo didn't contest about going further when she told him to stop so he was able to just walk back home by himself for once. Everyone was safely back home as they all went to sleep for the night.
oooh! enegiser got away! and he's joining the MA? this monster supposedly garnered the response from the HA to summon both tatsumaki and atomic samurai, so this thing NEEDS to have been INCREDIBLY strong but it's display against sonic was incredibly lack luster( at least in the speed department, although sonic scaling is also INCREDIBLY weird. guy went from somewhat above G4 genos to somewhat below flash in the span of mere weeks , at least in the webcomic.)
