With class wrapping up, Burchard moves his deck back and looks up to thank Yuzuru for her help but to his surprise, her seat was now empty. He looks up and is just barely able to make out the outline of his Seat mate along with her twin sister, another girl with long purple hair and a blue haired boy. Ironically enough these were all the people whose eyes he felt staring at him for pretty much the whole day but before he could think about it, he gets distracted from this thought by something he sees on the ground.

Meanwhile, Yuzuru, Kaguya, Shido and Tohka all huddle outside the classroom where they try and figure out what was going on, though having a funny feeling about this, Shido holds up his phone and asks, "kotori? Mind telling us what's going on?"

-

After a brief pause, a nervous sounding kotori replies, "uh… I don't know what you're talking about?"

-

Unfazed Shido demands, "kotori…. If you don't tell me what's going on right now, I'm not making your favourite dessert anymore."

-

Another brief pause unfolds until a whimpering kotori responds, "big brother? How could you be so cruel???"

-

Still unfazed, Shido responds, "kotori…."

-

She sighs disheartedly then says, "fine…. I hear you got a new transfer student."

-

Angered by the response, Yuzuru snaps, "demand: tell yuzuru what you did!!!"

-

Caught off guard by the sudden outburst from the usually neutral Yuzuru, Shido and Kaguya stare back at her shocked while Kotori responds, "geez Yuzuru, you don't need to be so hostile, especially since you were so happy today?"

-

Shido, Tohka and Kaguya all simultaneously shiver as a thick dark aura starts emanating from Yuzuru as she glares at the phone while demanding, "kotori…."

-

Starting to panic, Kotori blurts out, "fine fine! Just cool it."

-

After another pause along with the sound of typing, Kotori then continues, "I'm guessing you wanna know about Burchard?"

-

Shido replies, "is there anything else it could be?"

-

A bit annoyed, Kotori says, "geez, you don't need to add all the sass. Okay…. so after he went missing during the school trip incident, we scoured the whole island with drones but couldn't find any trace of him…. Then just yesterday, one of our techs got word that a boy matching his description was found aimlessly walking around the resort town in bad shape and was rushed to a hospital here in Tengu City where, aside from a few scrapes and bruises, he was diagnosed with amnesia. Seeing as what happened to him was technically our fault and had too many questions for him to count, we made the decision to move him here and enroll him in your class."

They all listen to what Kotori has to say and even though much of it didn't make sense, Kaguya noticing something and asks, "Hang on, why didn't you tell us any of this until now?"

-

Silence emanates from the phone though it is cut by Kotori's awkward chuckle until Shido finally asks, "was this some sort of test?"

-

Feeling accused she snaps back, "Of course not!…. Everything just happened so quickly that I didn't have time to give a thorough explanation!!!"

-

He can almost feel her crossing her arms and looking away from her monitor while continuing, "geez big bro, I had to do so much to pull all this together and get him properly settled but instead of a thank you I get attitude!!!"

-

Starting to feel bad, shido responds, "sorry, I didn't mean to…."

-

He gets cut off by Kotori shouting, "you'd better be sorry!!! And I'm expecting my favourite dessert when I get…."

-

She intern gets cut off as another more neutral voice comes over the phone saying, "and we decided that this would work as a good test for all of you."

-

Everyone goes quiet while kotori awkwardly laughs but even though she couldn't see them, she could tell they were all glaring at the phone until finally saying, "hehe, I was just kidding about the dessert thing."

-

This however doesn't seem to quell the anger that was now consuming the group as Shido snaps , "you liar! Just for that, Tohka is getting your desserts this next week!!!"

-

Hearing this causes Tohka, who had been silent till now due to the author forgetting she was there, to seemingly forget about being angry and instead lightens up with joy while saying, "really? Yay!!!"

-

Everyone ignores Tohka's outburst and instead pays attention to the sobbing that was now blaring out of the speaker that was mixed with Kotori whimpering, "big brother? How could you be so cruel?"

-

Starting to feel guilty and thinking that he over did it, Shido sighs disheartedly then responds, "sorry Kotori."

-

The sobbing stops while a whimpering Kotori asks, "does that mean you'll still make me dessert?"

-

After a brief pause, Shido responds, "fine."

-

Almost instantly Kotori shouts with joy, "yay!!!"

-

Seeing Shido being so easily fooled by his little sister causes Kaguya to look at him unimpressed while saying, "jeez you're easy to fool."

-

Shido intern guiltily scratches the back of his head while Kaguya looks at the phone and asks, "so what exactly are we supposed to do about this Burchard situation?"

-

Returning to a more reserved tone, Kotori replies, "for now, I need you to act normal around him."

-

Confused by this, Shido asks, "but shouldn't we try and restore his memories?"

-

This time Reine comes over the phone replying, "no. If what little information we have on him is true and this isn't the first time he's lost his memory then if he remembers everything all at once, it could do permanent damage to his mind."

-

Everyone is shocked and a bit sad to hear this though no one is as disheartened as Yuzuru but she is able to steel herself while saying, "confirmation: If it keeps Burchard safe then Yuzuru will do her best to not remind him of our time together."

-

Hearing this only adds to the concern Shido was already feeling so he asks, "are you sure you can handle being so close to him? Not to be rude but you haven't been doing the best since losing him and now you'll have a reminder that he's still technically gone right next to you."

-

She intern shakes her head at him while replying in a slightly confident tone, "confirmation: Yuzuru will be fine."

-

She reaches into her pocket while continuing, "plus She still has a reminder of the good times we shared."

-

After feeling around for a moment, her hand stops moving. Seeing a look of worry slowly crossing her face causes Kaguya to ask, "what's wrong?"

-

Without replying, Yuzuru starts to frantically check every pocket she has while muttering to herself, "concern: where is it? Yuzuru can't find it?"

-

Now concerned shido asks, "What are you looking for?"

-

She continues to pat herself down while responding, "reply: the picture, Yuzuru can't find her picture!"

-

Everyone thinks about where it could be until Tohka asks, "did you drop it in the classroom?"

-

Hearing this causes a sudden realization to happen as her head snaps towards the door while muttering, "no, please don't be there."

-

The other three look at her with confusion but before any of them could say anything, Yuzuru takes off running back into class leaving everyone else feeling worried about what was going on.

-

Now inside the practically empty classroom, Yuzuru quickly looks around but her fears become a reality as she spots the lone occupant of the room kneeling down and picking something up off the floor on the other side of the room. To her horror she recognizes the picture that Burchard was picking up and without thinking, runs at full speed towards him while shouting, "demand: don't look at that!"

While still holding the photo, Burchard looks up to see Yuzuru bulldozing any poor desk that was in her path as she ran straight at him while the only thing he was able to say about the sight in front of him was, "huh?"

-

WHAM!!!

-

The room falls silent as Burchard finds himself sprawled out on the ground and looking up at the ceiling while groaning in discomfort but is still able to muttering to himself, "what just happened?"

-

Feeling a bit dazed, he attempts to sit up though finds himself unable to move, for whatever reason it felt like there was a weight pressing down on his chest. He was confused by the strangely familiar feeling though with him still being too dazed to even think about where it could be from at the moment so Instead, he does his best to slowly lift his head up but what he sees doesn't exactly help his confusion as he asks, "Yuzuru?"

All he was able to see was the top of her head as she lied face down on top of him though his confusion turns to concern when instead of responding, he hears a muffled cry. Now becoming concerned enough to forget the pain he was in, he asks, "what's wrong."

-

Seemingly not hearing his question, she instead buries her face into his chest and clings to him tightly while thinking, "Sadness: why…. Why can't you remember Yuzuru?"

-

She continues to sob into his chest as the feeling of pain and sadness she had been hiding for the past week was just too much for her to bare but the spell of despair she found herself in was broken as she feels something strange, it was a comforting feeling that she had felt before. She feels herself being held tightly though before she could even comprehend what was happening, she hears someone whisper, "breath."

She's Surprised by this and finds herself able to whimper, "Burchard?"

-

He holds her tightly and calmly whispers back, "it's alright, it's okay, the only thing you need to do is breath."

-

With the fog in her mind slowly dissipating, and finally understanding what was happening. She finally after what felt like ages, got to feel the warm embrace she was yearning but as did happen this entire day, something felt off, enough so for Yuzuru to hold back her tears long enough to ask, "question: why are you doing this for Yuzuru?"

-

There was silence as he thought about it, as if he wasn't exactly sure why himself, but eventually after some time he does reply saying, "do I need a reason? Your sad and seems like you needed a hug."

-

This response catches her off guard though it was enough to stop her tears entirely and replace the pain in her chest with a warm feeling, one she knows only he can cause as she thinks, "reassurance: he's there, though he has lost his memory, he is still the same caring Burchard Yuzuru fell in love with even though he does not remember her."

-

With the warm feeling in her chest only growing, she continues to cling to him but since she had gotten quiet, a now worried Burchard asks, "you okay?"

-

There was a brief pause until she finally let's go of him and slowly lifts herself off of him and now kneels next to him while replying, "rebuttal: Yuzuru is okay."

-

He sits up and looks at her though not exactly convinced due to how she had just been acting, he looks back at her unconvinced while asking, "you sure?"

-

Realizing that she wasn't convincing him causes Yuzuru to wipe her tear-stained cheeks and closes her eyes as she smiles back at him while saying, "reassurance: you do not need to worry about Yuzuru. She is going to be okay."

-

There's silence, and as the time passes with nothing happening, Yuzuru slowly becomes confused until she finally opens her eyes only to become even more confused to see him staring back at her with his mouth hanging ajar. Her smile leaves her as her cheeks turn flush from his strangely familiar gaze as she thinks, "confusion: why does this feel so…. Familiar?"

After a few more moments she finally asks, "question: why are you staring at Yuzuru?"

-

This question seems to break him out of his trance as he guilty chuckles while scratching the back of his head and replying, "sorry, not sure why I did that…. Guess you're just really cute."

-

She stares back at him blankly though with her entire face becoming bright red, he quickly realizes that what he said definitely had an effect on her but before he could say anything, she shoots up to her feet and struggles to keep a straight face while saying, "confirmation: th-thank you for the compliment."

-

Even though he was enjoying her reaction, Burchard struggles to hide his smile as she continues her best to try and hide her embarrassment but realizing that she was only turning redder causes her to quickly turn around and without warning she scurries away at great speed while saying, "confirmation: Yuzuru has suddenly remembered that she has things to attend to so she shall be leaving, farewell."

Caught off guard by her sudden departure, Burchard now finds himself alone in the class and simply stares at the door she left out of while saying to himself, "what was that about?"

-

Out in the hall, Yuzuru continues to walk though isn't alone as Kaguya, shido and Tohka walks with her. With her embarrassment subsidizing and her face turning back to a normal colour, she was able to look to them with a smile while saying, "confirmation: Yuzuru should be able to handle being around him."

-

Still unsure about this, Shido says, "I hope your right."

-

A now confident Kaguya intern scoffs at him while adding, "oh relax Shido, she'll be fine, especially since she'll only need to worry about school."

-

Before he could respond, Kotori comes over the phone and says, "oh? Did I not tell you?"

-

The group comes to a stop and looks at the phone while Shido asks, "what do you mean?"
