A/N: The next part of the Gran Prix is here! Who will take home the crown?

Reviews:

thenewsubwayguy: I usually try to read through the chapters I upload before and after I post them and yeah, the last chapter's length is pretty deceptive in terms of what happens there oddly enough. To me at least. Unfortunately, I don't think this chapter's gonna change the trend when it comes to length.

G-Man 2.0: True. The interactions is the one thing I'm trying to get right the most along with having an appropriately lengthed challenge. The Commander Hoo-ha and to a lesser extent, the Worms challenges were the worst offenders of not having enough interaction last season imo. As great as the concept of the Hoo-ha challenge was, it wasn't executed well enough. I'm confident I can get the Worms challenge right when it comes back this season though. Those games have too much potential for me to not give it another try.

Also(this is not to anyone in particular, it's just something I learned recently before doing the last chapter), I just realized Polnareff and Sendo share the same VA. Too bad I can't do any VA jokes with it as Doug Erholtz's Sendo sounds nothing like his Polnareff. Same applies with Ryuko and Akko as they also share the same VA(if they ever met. Apparently Amanda is more of a Ryuko reference, which honestly makes sense with both being Studio Trigger produced). Yuno(Black Clover) and Furuya share the same Jap VA too(there is no Ace of Diamond Dub). Now I kinda wonder what would happen if Eijun and Asta ever met up lol.

Another revision has been made. "Anything but Down" has been removed as a musical. It'll still be used, but I'd rather have it as a regular song instead. Another part will also be made. This is more for stuff pre and post-challenge more than anything else.

Unknown Island, Canada

"Welcome back! We're halfway through the Grand Prix! But before we continue, I decided to bring them back to the island for a brunch break!" Chris said.

"Brunch break!? This is a joke!" Sendo said, looking at the food he was served. The entirety of the Rats were given "cinnamon flavored" gruel. The teams were all at several tables on the island outside.

"I'm done getting my hopes up that we'll ever get good food." Rei said.

"Giving up already huh?" Falcon asked.

"How could you deal with this for an entire season?" Becky F. asked the 19th century pilot.

"Like I said, you eventually get used to it. Doesn't mean I like it. I just got used to it." Falcon said.

"And then there's Owen." Rally said, looking at Owen, who was at another table with Noah, Emma and Bennett. He was devouring the gruel as if it was oatmeal.

"You should try this. It's really good!" Owen said to Bennett, Noah and Emma. He ate the rest out of his bowl. "You can really taste the cinnamon!"

"I'll take your word for it." Young Bennett said, still not eating his bowl.

"Here. At least I know food won't go to waste." Emma said, pushing her bowl to Owen.

"Thanks!" Owen said before starting to devour her bowl next.

"Well, at least someone's enjoying this food. I can't knock him for that." Becky F. said.

Though someone else was seen devouring the food as well. It was Kagami. The noise caused several people to look over to see where it was coming from and noticed it was from him.

"You're actually eatin' this!?" Sendo asked.

"I don't blame him. I'm starvin' myself. Besides, you can't knock it 'til you try it. Owen's eating it." Natsu said before grabbing the spoon from his bowl and preparing to chow down. "Well, down the hatch we go." He said before eating the gruel.

"At least your food's actually eatable. Look at this." Rex said, who was the only other person at the table other than Sendo, Kaz, Kagami and Natsu. His bowl had hard grits in them. Happy was with Sebastian, Rocky and Puss, who were just finding out how awful the food was themselves.

"Absolutely unacceptable!" Eliza almost threw down her utensils, being the angriest she's been since she's been here.

"What's got you so mad?" Rocky asked.

Sebastian took a look at the grits and tasted them himself. Although you couldn't tell from his face right away, he was appalled. "Oh dear. It appears this food is unheated. I can see why you're upset."

"Well, something's better than nothing. Kagami's eating it so it's gotta be good." Rocky said before eating it himself.

"Sebastian, can't you make better food than this?" Happy asked.

"That's a splendid idea. Now then, if I can just find a kitchen." Sebastian said before going to find Chef or Chris and ask about a kitchen.

"I think I'll wait for Sebastian." Puss said before passing his bowl to Rocky, who was glad to have more food.

"It's one thing for this to be a one time occurrence. But if this is going to be a regular thing, I won't stand for it. I hope Sebastian is capable of making a better meal." Eliza said.

"Yikes. I think I'll take the gruel." Kaz said, after looking over at the other tables, including the faces from some of the other members of Team JET. Even Shiro had a look of surprise on his face at how bad the cooking was.

Sendo looked back at his bowl and sighed. "Damn it. I don't wanna eat this crap. At this rate, my diet's gonna be ruined. But, I gotta eat somethin'. I can't just starve myself either."

"Diet? The heck do you need a diet for?" Kaz asked.

"Oh right. Some of you guys don't know." Sendo said. "As a boxer, it might not seem like it but I take my training very seriously. And havin' a good diet is a part of that for any boxer. I know every boxer's different when it comes to what they eat but... for me, I gotta keep an eye on what I eat. Don't get me wrong, I like chowing down too, but this everyday ain't gonna cut it for me."

"Huh. Never took you for a fruits and veggies guy." Rex said.

"Hey, I ain't sayin' I'm some vegetarian." Sendo said. "I don't hate that stuff either, but that's usually not what I really eat."

Kaz was given breakfast pizza from Chef.

"All right! Thanks!" Kaz said before preparing to devour the pizza.

"Yeah, it's stuff like tha-" Sendo started before noticing the pizza the boy had.

"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?"

"Uh, a pizza?" Rex said.

"No idiot. I'm saying, what the heck is goin' on here? How the hell does he get pizza and we're stuck with this crap?" Sendo said before looking at his bowl. "And to think, I was actually gonna eat this trash."

"To be honest, it's actually not that bad." Natsu said. "The extra flavor is what actually makes it pretty good."

"Even so, I still don't think it's fair that he gets to eat that." Sendo said.

"I guess just ask Chef about it." Kaz said.

"Forget Chef, I'm goin' to the source." Sendo said before leaving from the table to find Chris, going past the table where Rick, Morty, Sena and Mamori were.

"We're still last? What the heck happened?" Morty asked.

"They sucked, that's what. There, that's your answer." Rick said.

"Actually, most of the guys that raced crashed. The only ones that even finished were Tangle and Scott." Mamori corrected.

"So exactly what I said then." Rick said.

"We were already last before we even started the race. How can you just expect to get everything back at once?" Mamori asked, starting to not exactly be a fan of the scientist's attitude.

"Well who's fault was it we were last in the first place huh? You're gonna put that on something else we can't control either? Diana and those other girls literally were racing in their own school and they tied for second with someone that made a s[censored]tty makeshift broom with an engine on it. Just goes to show that you can't trust magic to do s[cesnored] when it matters most. Hell, it's about as useful as Luz's magic was last season and this one." Rick said. "And Mr. Lightspeed runningback over here didn't do s[censored] either."

"Yes, Sena made a mistake so what? No one is perfect. How could you give up when we still have five races left?"

"Because I can. Like I said before I can quit whenever I want to. You see how fast I decided to leave and come back here? I can do the same thing on this show too." Rick said.

"If that's the case then why haven't you left yet?"

"For the simple reason of I don't have to tell you jack s[censored]."

"Manajerk!" Hiruma said, going to the table where Mamori was, rifle in hand. "There's some things I need you to discuss with the sheep." He said, referring to Lanolin.

"Sure." Mamori said before leaving the table.

"Well, I've got nothing to really add here. Guess I'll try to find something to work on." Rick said before leaving.

Hiruma also leaves away from Mamori.

"Where are you going?" Mamori asked.

"I'm going to ask the f[censored]ing nerds about something. I'll be back." Hiruma said before leaving to talk to Cicini and Bennett.

"I'm sorry about Rick. He can be... a lot to handle for some people at times." Morty said to Sena.

"Hey, don't worry about it! You could say Hiruma's the same way." Sena said, smiling.

"I don't know. Hiruma's kinda crazy in his own way." Morty said.

"Of course they're not the same. But Rick can't be that bad right? He was here on another season from what I heard. How did he do?"

"He got eliminated during one of the movie challenges and said he quit."

"I see. Did he at least get top 5 or 10?"

"No. He didn't even make it to the merge. Neither did I unfortunately."

"I didn't know you were here before too."

"Yeah. It gets pretty dangerous sometimes, but some of the challenges are pretty fun. But we didn't get to sing or travel like we do on this one."

"If these last challenges are anything to go off of, I can see what you mean with the dangerous part. And if you didn't get to travel, where did you go?"

"Remember that island you saw earlier? That's where the season took place."

"On that small island? It makes sense for that many people to be here since we're travelling, but how was he able to get that many people there?"

"Not sure honestly. But hey, he made it work. But it was more people here than it was there. And plus, the island's actually not that small. Compared to this."

"Ah. It must be tough to come up with challenges all in that one place."

"I guess. I never really thought about that honestly. But some of the challenges were in an abandoned film lot too. Those were based on movies."

"Movies? What kind of movies?"

"It was really challenges based off different genres. Like horror, action, spy, things like that. Some of those were pretty dangerous too."

"Well, at least I have an idea of what we're in for."

"What exactly are you guys here for anyway?"

"Well, it's to fund our football club."

"Your school doesn't give you enough money for it?"

"No. While our Principal loves football and was more than willing to help build the football clubhouse with his own money, the athletic director wasn't exactly thrilled to send school funds for things like training equipment. Even with blackmail, the money we got wasn't enough. And, I guess it didn't help that the team didn't exactly have a good start either."

"So how do you guys train then?"

"There's some basic equipment that we use from the school's weight room. It's not much, but it's better than nothing. There's also some things that Kurita and Hiruma made before I came along."

"Did you transfer schools or something?"

"Actually, this is my first year of high school believe it or not."

"Really? Y-you seem like that's a little older. I guess it's because you work out since you're a football player."

Sena was genuinely flattered by the compliment and had to think of something to say as he laughed a little. "It's not that much of a difference. Especially when I first started. Compared to the others anyway. Monta I think is the only that lifts around the same weight I do. Hiruma and definitely Kurita are stronger than me. Believe it or not, when I first started, I had no interest in football or working out. I never did either of those before joining."

"Seriously? Then why did you join? What do you like about football?"

"Actually, I never initially joined because I liked football. There were three guys called the Ha-Ha Brothers that I ran errands for. In exchange, they would promise to leave me alone as long as I did what they asked."

"W-wait, those guys bullied you?"

Sena slumped a little. "Well, I wouldn't call it bullying. They just asked for some sandwiches. They seemed like they were nice on the first day, but I-"

"Stop it, o-okay? Even if the sandwiches thing was true, everything else sounds like bulls[censored]."

Sena sighed. "You know. Mamori said something similar to me on our first day of high school."

"Wow. Tha-that's crazy man. And uh, sorry. I think that was a little too much."

"It's fine. Compared to Hiruma, that's nothing. Anyways, Kurita found us and thought we wanted to join the football team since the brothers and I were in the clubhouse. He ended up accidentally chasing those guys off trying to teach us how to play though. Especially with how nice he was. He even made tea and cake. Even if the tea was a little too sweet from way too much sugar. I wasn't really interested in sports. And the one sport I did try, soccer, I was terrible in. So I respectfully declined. But... he genuinely looked depressed after hearing my answer."

"So it wasn't him trying to guilt trip you?"

"No. He explained how much he loved football and dreamed of going to the Christmas Bowl. I wasn't sure what any of that was but, he told me that football excited him because..." Sena thought before reciting what Kurita said from what he remembered to the best of his ability.

"It makes me so excited. Working together to reach a common goal, running right over our opponents along the way!"

"Not to mention the team just didn't have enough members, even in the first year it was made. They had to get people from other clubs just to have enough. And they didn't win a single game. I imagine that they tried but... it just wasn't enough. They even lost two players from injury in the first round of one of the tournaments. In one of the games, against the Ojo White Knights, they failed to even score a single point. It was 99-0."

"Oh man. That's gotta suck. I don't even really play sports and I feel bad."

"That's why I just couldn't say no after hearing that. But, the problem was, I didn't know anything about football other than the fact that it was a violent sport. I didn't want to get hurt, and I didn't want to admit that I didn't know what to do and say no to him. Until I saw a poster that the position of Manager and Secretary was open. Which was perfect for me! I could be a part of the team and make Kurita happy and I didn't even have to play a single game! And plus, all I had to do was run errands for the team. Something I'm already experienced in."

"That last part isn't exactly a good thing, you know that right?"

Sena slumped in embarrassment. "Yeah. That's true. To be honest, with how Rick is, and the things he makes, I can understand why you would think all of this is pathetic and wouldn't care much about it."

"Dude, I'm gonna be honest, I don't really care about sports too much to where I'd join a club or a team like you would. But the fact that you were pretty much like me at first and got to the point that you're at now, and you're still in your first year, I think that's pretty cool."

"E-even with all the adventures Rick and I have had, I haven't grown much compared to the first time I started going on adventures with him. I don't even have a cool nickname or codename like you do. Even Dipper had nicknames from his sister. Hell, he made it to the merge! He helped come up with a plan to stop an evil Huey from another dimension. He got trusted to help stop everything around them from s[censored]tting itself because of him being around. Marty? I guess he's kinda like me. What with the old scientist and all. Except he's not their family related like Rick is to me. The guy is literally from the 80s. He got farther than me! By himself! I was with Rick and I still got eliminated like nine/ten placements before he did. Hell, he got farther than Rick actually."

"Who the heck am I? Just Morty Smith. The same Morty that couldn't make it to the merge. Has no friends other than my grandpa. I-I can't even keep a girlfriend. Every single one has some f[censored]ed up thing happen to them. O-or does something f[censored]ed up themselves. Other than technically Jessica. I mean yeah, I can do some cool stuff, but it's nothing compared to you. You actually had the balls to play football and you didn't know s[censored] about the sport at first. Look at your quarterback! The guy carries around guns like a f[censored]ing cartoon character and you can deal with him almost day even when you're still scared. You've even got a cute manager!" He said as Hiruma was still seen with Mamori. Though oddly Lanolin wasn't with them as Hiruma said she would.

"Wait, I said that last part out loud. S-sorry." Morty said, blushing a little. "See what I mean? You think you're pathetic. No man. You're awesome. Y-you definitely gotta be a chick magnet man." He said before facepalming. "Oh man. That was so bad. Soooo bad."

Sena laughed a little. "Well, to be honest, I don't really pay too much attention to that. As lame as that sounds." He said, blushing a little.

"Lame? No man. You're cool. I know I said that already but I really mean that."

"Thanks." Sena said. "But... I have to disagree with you on one thing." He said, a serious look on his face.

"W-what? What is it? I'm sorry for calling you lame man! Or your manager cute! I can understand if you're p[censored]ed."

Sena puts both of his hands on the table in an assertive manner. "You're not pathetic."

"Huh? That's what you disagree about?"

"To be honest, my life was pretty average. You could even say boring. I wasn't known for much in middle or elementary school. I wasn't popular. And I couldn't consider myself to be too smart either. Mamori and Riku were my only friends. Riku was the one that taught me how to run to fight back against the guys that bullied me since he said I could use it to let me dodge attacks. But, I never actually used it for that. I always used it to help run errands for them so they would ultimately not try to threaten me anymore. Eventually, more and more people asked me to run errands for them. I thought it was great. I could do nice things for them and make friends too."

"Dude, even if they didn't bully you, those people don't sound like friends. T-they just wanted to use you man. They used the fact that you were nice and took advantage of it."

"Yeah. Like I said, Mamori tried to tell me that those people weren't my friends. Looking back, she was right. Even Riku. I made a promise that I would protect Mamori. But it was her that protected me. And it wasn't until I met Hiruma, Kurita and later on the others on the team that I found out the difference." Sena said.

"The Devil Bats isn't the best on paper. At one point, we didn't even have enough players for both sides of the ball. We had to run players on both offense and defense. Not because they were talented enough to do it. But because we had no choice. No one wanted to play for the team at first. Even with the dedicated players we have, we still have to. You say you're pathetic. You're not! Monta tries his absolute best at everything. He loved baseball with all his heart. He dreamed of becoming a catcher like his hero Masaru Honjo on the Shuei Bears baseball team. He was an amazing catcher! But, he couldn't do anything else. I ran into him at one point by chance walking home from putting out recruitment flyers for more players. After seeing him make an amazing catch when the football I had slipped out my hands, I went to see his baseball game to ask him to join. Though, he didn't know much about football either. He even called it rugby at first. Though, it was after that first game that I could say we were pretty much friends."

"Seems like he's having a good time with Eijun and the other baseball players. It makes sense why." Morty said as he saw Monta talking to Eijun, Furuya and Miyuki.

"So... both of you want to be the Ace of your baseball team for when your third year senior Tanba graduates?" Monta said to Eijun and Furuya.

"YES!" Eijun said.

"Not want. I will be the Ace." Furuya said, as the other three could feel that same competitive blue aura around him like before.

Monta puts a finger on his chin, processing the "information" that he just got. "I see."

"I LOVE IT! MAX COMPETITION!" Monta said before Hiruma suddenly shot at him, with the four suddenly having to dodge bullets.

"Those bullets travel you know!" Huey D. called out from another table, looking at his paper cup which now had bullet holes in it. The bullets also hit one of Sucy's potions.

"Well, it's a good thing none of it got on anyone." Sucy said as the liquid seeped harmlessly to the ground. Mushrooms were seen growing on the ground.

"What type of potion was that?" Mona asked.

"A mushroom potion. Instantly turns whatever it touches into several mushrooms. I'd imagine if it got on anyone, they would have had mushrooms growing from them." Sucy said before thinking. "I wonder if I put it on myself."

"What other potions do you have?" Mona ssaid, seemingly unbothered by Sucy's disturbing thought about putting the mushroom potion on herself.

"Several. I took some with me from our room when we went to the school. Though I guess I can show you some others." Sucy said.

"Butt-monkey! Get over here!" Hiruma said.

"AYE!" Monta said, saluting.

"I want you to get Tangle. You're going to do some catching practice with her. Got it?" Hiruma asked.

"Yes!" Monta said, nodding before running to get Tangle.

"With how much he does that, I'm surprised no one has gotten hurt or killed yet." Sly said, sitting at a distance with Cameron and Bren at a table. Seeing as how the rats were communicating with each other in challenges, Bren and Cameron were busy trying to make their own form of communication, using Sly's Binocucom as a basis. Cameron's leg was wrapped thanks to Mamori the minute they got back.

"Honestly, if I could, I'd just use my Monsuno and put up a shield every time. Unfortunately, unlike Pokemon, they only last for five minutes." Bren said.

"Five minutes is better than nothing." Sly said.

"My bubble would have definitely been useful here." Cameron said before reaching over and accidentally hitting the wrapped leg against the table, which caused him to wince in pain.

"You okay?" Bren asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. It still stings a bit." Cameron said.

Sly looked at Cameron's leg. All he could think of was his friend Bentley's injury that left him unable to ever walk again.

"Cameron, once this challenge is over, you've gotta go to a hospital." Sly said frankly.

"But he said he was fine." Bren said. "I'm no doctor but lingering pain from being injured like that is probably expected. Given time, it should be able to heal."

"But how much is enough time? If it wasn't for Grogu, he probably wouldn't even be able to walk." Sly said, not willing to let it go that easily.

"I get you're concerned about me, but I'm fine. Honest." Cameron said. Sly could tell from Cameron's face that he was hiding something. But he wasn't going to get it out of him. Or likely Bren either.

"I'm not exactly a doctor myself, so what the heck do I know? If you say you're fine, who am I to stop you?" Sly said, shrugging before turning his attention back to the Binocucom. "So how long until that's done?"

"Oh that. The communication part's easy. All we had to do is just use a walkie talkie, and have both talk on the same channel. It's not exactly state of the art, but it works." Bren said.

"So if you guys were already done with that, what were you doing?" Sly asked.

"Trying to make something for everyone. And increase the range. As it is now, the range is really limited. If we have a situation like we did in the Emerald challenge, it's not going to work." Cameron explained.

"Makes sense. Never had to travel across the multiverse before, so Bentley probably never considered something like that." Sly said with Eijun's yelling causing him to look back at the two pitchers.

"Like I said, I WILL BE THE ACE!" Eijun yelled out.

"No. I will!" Furuya said.

"IT'S MINE!"

"Mine!"

The two continued to argue about the title of Ace as Miyuki looked on.

"Ah." Miyuki said, shaking his head. "Those two are at it again. But... that's what makes them incredible pitchers. Even in their first year. Individually, they have so much potential to grow. But together, they'll push each other to be better. Even to limits past their initial potential. Even here. Continue to aim for number one, Sawamara Eijun and Satoru Furuya!"

"He was a third string on the baseball team. But he promised me that he'd make it to first string and work hard and give it everything he had to do so. But... he didn't. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't hit or throw good enough to get higher than third string. But the worst part was how his team rewarded his persistence."

Flashback

Monta jumps from a bush out of nowhere to catch a ball that was in the air during the Deimon baseball team's practice, making an amazing catch, flipping into the air like a ball and landing perfectly on the ground.

The team looked at him with surprise.

"You..." One of the team members started.

"Here." Monta said, handing said member the ball.

"What do you think you're-" The same member started again.

"Well, I thought I'd be a good third stringer and pick up the ball for you." Monta said before laughing a little with a grin on his face.

"You still don't get it."

"Oh, I promise to stay out of the way. Plus, I'm technically a member. So I figure if I work hard then eventually I'll make second string- I mean first string!" Monta said fast as he could hardly stand still.

"No. That means you're done." The member said.

Monta stopped moving and had a confused look on his face.

"Guys who 'make' third string are really being told to quit." He clarified to the then hopeful third-stringer.

"Y-You mean..."

"The team doesn't want you." The player said, closing his eyes before looking back at Monta. "You're cut!"

"I-I'll be the ball boy! I'll do anything!" Monta said before getting on the ground, pleading the first-stringer to let him stay. "Please, I'm begging you!"

"Ah." The first-stringer said, starting to get annoyed with Monta's stubbornness and let him know with his next statement. "You're stubborn... just beat it!"

The interruption to the practice was so long the other members started to get involved.

"What's going on here?" Another player said, walking up to Monta and the other first-stringer.

"You're messing up our practice!" A third player said.

"Take a hike!" The second player said.

"Get lost!" The third player said before they all kicked him as he fell back to the ground, dropping his glove.

"Back to work everyone!" Was heard from the distance.

Sena picked up the glove and went to give it to him but Monta ran off, not wanting his friend to see his tears.

End Flashback

"That's f[censored]ed up man. All he wanted to do was help the team and be useful. They could have been nice about it and just asked him to do something else so he could still be with the team. B-but no. They had to be a[censored]holes! Why would they crush his dreams like that man?" Morty said. "Jeez. Why the heck am I getting so worked up about this? I don't even play baseball."

"It's fine. Personally, I wouldn't say you're doing anything wrong to say you feel upset. That's why I asked him again to join. Even though he said no again. Even after Hiruma trying to motivate him. But... a day later, he suddenly showed up to practice catching, fully dressed in a football uniform. I don't know what happened the night in between I asked and the day he showed up, but, whatever it was, it got him to want to pursue his dream of being like his hero in another way." Sena said. "You can't see it now since none of us are wearing our jerseys but, that's why he wears number 80. It's the same number Honjo wore when he played baseball."

"That's a really nice thing you did man. You know that?"

"I didn't do anything. All I did was ask."

"Yeah, but it's why you asked again. You're a good friend dude."

"Thanks. I don't really know what else to say to be honest. Sorry."

"You don't gotta apologize man."

"Even the Ha-Ha brothers. Despite what happened before, Hiruma got them to join too." Sena said before scratching his cheek bashfully. "Even if it was through blackmail."

"Blackmail?"

"Don't worry about it. That was initially. They declined even after that. It was after they had gotten into a fight with one of the opposing team's players outside of the game that they changed their minds and joined. They even thought about quitting a second time. Hiruma's training is harsh. And hard. And the Death March wasn't exactly doing any favors for proving that wrong. Although, now that I think about it, this isn't the only time we've been on a team with someone that's had a fear of flying so Owen's not our first experience. Jumonji's got a fear of flying too. "

"The Death March? What's that?"

Sena, like before, when he put both of his hands on a table, was no longer smiling. "It's a intense training regimen. Or in this case, route. Traveling 2000 kilometers. From Texas. All the way to Las Vegas. On foot. Going the entire day, and then resting at night."

"That is crazy! On foot!?"

"Yes. All the while, different positions practice different types of running or exercises. Linemen push a truck with all the luggage in it. Running backs run kicking a rock. Quarterbacks run too, practicing pass routes and carrying weight. And so on. It's dangerous. In fact, one of the people that Hiruma hired to be the coach for our team, Sakaki, injured himself trying to attempt the route himself years ago when he played football. The injury was so severe, it ruined his athletic career. He could never play football again. He tried to warn us, but Hiruma insisted on it, believing it was the only way for us to get the training needed to get as strong as the teams that were competing in the next tournament."

"If that's the case, then those teams had to have been insanely good. Or Hiruma's just insane himself."

"A bit of both I'd say. But even he participated in it, knowing how dangerous it was for him too. And just like us, he made it all the way to the finish. No one dropped out."

"That confirms it man. You and the rest of your team have to be really awesome to survive through something like that."

"Maybe. But, it won't be good enough if we can't get to the Christmas Bowl, so I still won't say we're that great yet. As for the brothers, they could have dropped out before it even officially started. Hiruma gave us all the choice to stay in Japan and relax since school was out at the time he planned this. Or travel to America to train. And we all chose to train. The brothers wanted to prove that they weren't the useless lost causes that people said they were. Everyone had their reasons to want to get stronger. I wanted the same thing. To get stronger! At first, it was so that Mamori would never have to protect me anymore. Now, it's so I can continue to get stronger with my teammates! With my friends! That is why I continue to play football!"

Flashback

Sena looks on as the others step across the line to train with Hiruma and Kurita for the Death March. After hearing their reasons, he becomes inspired to want to train with them as well and steps across the line, ripping his plane ticket to go back to Japan and enjoy his school break early.

"Sena Kobayakawa! #21! Position: Running Back!"

End Flashback

Flashback

Before their Kanto Tournament 3rd place Qualifier match against the Bando Spiders, Sena builds up the courage to reveal his identity to Mamori.

"Sena... what are you-" Mamori said in shock after seeing his helmet off.

"But... football's too dangerous for... you." Mamori trailed off.

"I'm sorry I couldn't work up the courage to tell you before!" Sena said before running out onto the field to reveal his identity to the rest of the world, including his parents.

"That unassuming freshman... he's... the awesome Eyeshield 21?" A student said in shock from the stands.

Eventually everyone broke out of the shock and cheered on his name. Not Eyeshield 21. His real name. Sena Kobayakawa.

End Flashback

"What I'm trying to get at with all this is... don't say you're useless! Or pathetic! You're not! I promise you! You weren't the first to be eliminated in the season you competed in. And you had girlfriends. So you had to have been doing something right. A smart man like your grandfather is your only friend so what? Giving up on making friends is not how you can expect more to come! I don't know Dipper or Marty but they seem great. Even if you can't be as great as them... you can be great in your own way! You can find your strength! Be useful! In your own way! I believe in you Morty!"

"H-hey man. That means a lot to hear that. Sounds cliche, but I don't care. I mean it. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Sena said, smiling. "S-sorry. I think I got carried away a little."

As the two continued to talk, Mamori and Hiruma were both looking at the rest of the island, trying not to only focus on Sena and Morty, with Hiruma also having his laptop and using it.

"Looks like Sena and Morty are getting along. But Hiruma, I still don't understand. What exactly is happening?" Mamori asked, genuinely confused at Hiruma was playing at, which, considering how they usually communicated with each other, was a rarity. He mentioned Lanolin when she wasn't even there. And he sent Monta away from the Seido trio to practice catch with Tangle, which was a pretty random choice.

"You'll see. It's nothing for you to be concerned about." Hiruma said. Which Mamori knew for him was his way of asking her to trust him.

The manager looked forward at Sendo who was expressing his frustration at not being able to find Chris and tell him about the food to Sebastian.

***Confessional***

Mamori(Radical Rats):

"I'm not exactly sure what Hiruma is planning. He'll probably tell me when it happens. Or I'll probably figure it out before then myself. Although, I'm glad to know that Sena is willing to talk to people here other than-" A realization came to her.

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Hiruma(Radical Rats):

"I don't know what Sena said to Morty. And I don't want to. None of what he said was from me. Because no one, not even myself knew that this was going to happen. But I took advantage of the opportunity as soon as it showed. Everyone has a passion for something. Something that makes a fire burn inside them. Doesn't have to be just football. Or any sport in general. In jumpman's case, it's basketball. In Richie Witch's(Diana) case, it's magic. Even if she tries not to show it like loudmouth #1(Akko) does, her argument with angry boy(Kageyama) proves it. It's up to the Peewee to figure out what lights the fire inside of Skinny boy."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Sena(Radical Rats):

"To be honest, I wouldn't even say I protect Mamori. If anything, I'd say we both protect each other. I guess you could say the same for the team as well. We all protect and fight for one another, even when one of them's feeling down. Although... I'm not sure I could even say that about Hiruma. Don't tell him I said this but, the one time we all legitimately thought he was crying, when we were on the cusp of losing, out of options and ideas and he was looking down on the bench, he was just on his laptop devising another scheme to try and win! And don't worry, I know what you're thinking. Hiruma isn't the type of person to ever cheat. He's got some crazy tactics that are pretty scary. But cheating has never been one of them."

***End Confessional***

Lucy was off by herself writing on pieces of paper.

"Being in a place so different from her own, with so many new people was a surreal experience for Iris at first. But slowly, more and more, she began to really feel as if-"

She stopped writing when she felt a presence near. It wasn't a strong one at all. But it could definitely be felt. And it was starting to really bother her. With the quiet shuffling of feet and page turns further prove that someone was there.

"Okay, show yourself! Natsu! Are you trying to be funny ag-"

It was Mayuzumi, sitting by himself, reading, which was a pretty normal occurrence from him.

"Oh it's you. Sorry."

Her apology was ignored as he didn't say a word, only looking up and frowning at her for being so loud.

"Right. I forgot who I'm talking to."

She thought about getting up to leave before thinking about something. "Look, I know you don't really talk much, but you gotta do something about... whatever it is that's making you do that. There's some other pretty quiet guys here and they don't come off as creepy like you do. Other than Sucy at times. I'm not trying to be a jerk, honest."

"ALRIGHT GUYS! BRUNCH TIME IS OVER! IT'S TIME TO HEAD OFF INTO THE NEXT RACE! AND NO, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PULLING A RICK AND LEAVING OR STAYING BEHIND! ALL OF YOU NEED TO BE HERE! DON'T CARE IF YOU RACED ALREADY OR NOT! IF YOU'RE NOT HERE WITHIN TWO MINUTES, IT'LL HURT YOUR TEAM'S CHANCES OF WINNING!" Chris M. called out, enhancing his voice with a megaphone.

"Crap, I've gotta hurry or I'm gonna get left behind!" Lucy said before running into the mansion with the papers that she had. Mayuzumi closed his book and was preparing to take it with him to the next location rather than leave it behind but saw a piece of paper on the ground.

He picked it up and was about to throw it in the trash before noticing what was written on it. It had writing about someone named "Iris". He figured that this was a character in a story, with how they were written on the page. Although, compared to what he's read before, the level of writing was at a beginner/novice level. At least from what he had read so far. He never bothered to read the rest.

He looked up, unsure of what to do with the paper as he wasn't sure who it was even for. But he couldn't just throw it away. Considering that he never saw this paper before, he believed that it had to have been for someone. With how the writing looked to have actually been handwritten compared to printed/typed as seen in usual published works, at the very least, he knew that it was someone had wrote this. At first, he thought it was for Lucy but quickly dismissed it. He didn't expect for someone like her to be into writing. But as for the paper itself, he decided to continue to read the rest, curious to see if the writing improved. After all, he at least felt it would be right to give it a chance. Even some of the light novel series that he's read have had weak starts or beginnings that paled in comparison to the rest of the books in those particular series. And he had to admit, he wanted to try to learn more about who "Iris" was.

FINAL RACE: Endurance Race: Part 1:

Orotoru G'am, Mon Calamari/Dac(Star Wars):

Endurance Race #1 Inspiration:

Star Was Racer Revenge Video Game A/N: This is the only hands-on source of podracing that I have other than the novelized version of The Phantom Menace. Believe it or not, I have not seen any of the prequel trilogy movies. I've only seen Revenge of the Sith clips online. I know there's the first podracing video game Star Wars Episode I: Racer from a few clips I've seen online too but I never played that either.

Inspiration for the Endurance Race Concept Itself:

Juiced 2 Video Game's Endurance Race Mode A/N: This game had a mode where it would ask you to do an insane amount of laps on one track in one race in one sitting(e.g. 10 laps, sometimes even more than that). Drift Endurance mode was even more insane than that as it asked you to score an insane amount of points in one continuous drift but that won't be covered here.

Hot Wheels Acceleracers: The Ultimate Race Movie

Total Drama Island Multiverse Edition's Castle of Destiny Episode

Idea for Pod Racing Given By: Ginrai12 on FF Dot Net

Notable Characters:

Nimbus(Destiny 2; a character requested by Knight to compete on FF Dot Net but didn't make the cut), Kate Alen(F-Zero; a character requested by PrincessGumballWatterson777 on FF Dot Net but also didn't make the cut), Titi(Scan2Go)

The contestants appeared out of a portal and were in an aquatic city. Several buildings were seen along with several species that was easy for everyone to tell wasn't from Earth.

Din recognized the location instantly.

"Are we... underwater?" Libby asked.

"We're on the planet Mon Calamari." Mando said.

"Huh. I've never heard of this planet before." Myron said.

"I'm sure there's a lot of planets we haven't heard of or travelled to to be fair." Diego said.

"Rook, have you heard of this place?" Ben asked.

"No. I have not. The inhabitants here don't look familiar to me either." Rook said, continuing to look around.

"I've never seen this place before either." Razer said.

"So I guess our next race will be just like that Water Realm race then." Kaz guessed.

"Straight to the races for you. Of course." Fiona said, not surprised that Kaz was more concerned with that than anything else before noticing there were more and more people cheering. A stage was seen with an anthropomorphic cat with pink fur and strawberry pink hair on top of her head that was styled into a ponytail. She had yellow eyes and had two small blue earrings on each of her ears. Another piercing was seen above them on each ear but had no earring on them. She wore a white racing suit with pink accents on the legs and chest area that had a small pink skirt on it which slightly covered the belt that she was wearing. On the back of the belt were two separate pouches that had her Scan Card and her Racing Machine Catty in them.

With her was a woman that wore an orange and purple racing suit and had brown skin, yellow triangle-shaped earrings and black hair styled in an afro with a headband that matched her racing suit.

"What's up Fiona?" Kaz asked, before seeing exactly who she was looking at as the two were waving to the crowd with microphones in their hands.

"Oh hey it's Titi!" Kaz said, recognizing the young pop singer that was around their age.

"Titi!?" Myron said, with the most enthusiasm that he's had since being on the show.

"Where!?" Diego said, matching it as they frantically look around.

"Great. Now I kinda hate that she's here." Fiona said, resting her head on her forehead, annoyed.

"Why? Who is that?" Natsu asked.

"Are you kidding me?" Diego said.

"You don't know who that is?" Myron asked.

"Uh no. That's why I'm asking." Natsu said, a little surprise at the enthusiasm the two were showing.

"She's like only the most popular young pop-star idol across the universe!" Diego said.

"She's a singer, a dancer, and best of all, she's a racer too!" Myron said.

"To be able to do all of those things at once." Diego started.

"And be awesome at all three!" Myron finished.

"Isn't she great!?" Diego and Myron said simultaneously.

"This is... out of character for them." Libby said.

"It's an entertainer they enjoy. It makes sense honestly. I wonder what songs she knows." Molly said.

"Huh. Didn't expect you to be into that kinda s[censored]." Haizaki said to Diego and Myron.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" Diego asked.

"You don't even get it. Well that kinda ruins it. Forget I said anything." Haizaki said, realizing that they were too innocent to even know what he was getting at. Which was fine by him. It just let him know that they were just genuine fanboys.

"They always say live and let live. Guess this is one of those times." Johnny said before looking at Kate. "But forget the cat girl. Who's she?"

"I'd like to thank you all for coming out here before this awesome race! And Titi for joining me for this special performance!" Kate called out to everyone.

"It's my pleasure! It's an honor to be with another fellow singer and racer!" Titi said. "Although, please forgive me if I don't do as well as you all hope. Ms. Kate Alen here came up with most of the songs we'll sing today."

"Don't worry kid, I got you. Just follow along and I'm confident you'll be alright." Kate said, with a matching confident smile. "It's just like on the track! Gotta have confidence in your skills!"

Titi smiled back, thankful for the words of advice from the older racer, dancer, and singer. "Right. Thanks! Let's do our best and give the crowd a show!"

"Darn right!" Kate said.

"Now that you mention it, I've never seen her before." Myron said.

"Judging by that outfit, she looks like a racer." Shiro said, one of two along with Kaz that wasn't really enamored by the fact that Titi was a pop idol and moreso concerned about her skills as a racer instead.

"I wonder what kind of machine she drives?" Kaz said before going to where the stage was to ask.

"Kaz! Get back here!" Fiona said.

Doyle stopped him. "Woah there man. Can't let you do that. Got a challenge, remember?"

"Oh. Right. Well what are we waiting for then? Let's get started!" Kaz said.

"A one track mind. If it isn't food, it's racing." Fiona said.

"Hey, I'm with him on that. I'm ready to start the next race." Natsu said, grinning and filled with excitement as Kate and Titi were heard singing in the background "The Meaning of Truth" by HiroX.(A/N: Just imagine them singing the English Cover version of the F-Zero GP Legend theme by Black Rage Infinity)

"Don't you remember? Your motion sickness." Happy reminded him.

"Oh right." Natsu said, slumping. "It's been a bit in between the races so I forgot."

"That was only about 30 minutes ago." Sucy said.

"What's your point? I still forgot."

"She's making a point, you're just missing it." Lucy said.

"Well, you could always watch." Molly said.

"Yeah, but that's not the same thing." Natsu said.

"Yeah. I gotta agree on that one. As much as I like watching races, there's nothing better than actually being in one yourself! You can see how I felt." Kaz said.

"Forget about how you feel. You got to go. What about the rest of-" Fiona started before Sendo confronted Chris, angry.

"Forget the stupid planet! I wanna know why the heck we got some crappy gruel and they got pizza!" Sendo said, pointing to Kaz.

"You know, that's actually a good question. Why did we get breakfast pizza?" Scott asked.

"I can answer that question. They were in first place at the time. So they got treated with better meals. The higher you were in the standings, the better the meal you got." Chris explained.

"So you call cold food better? At least the Rats' food actually had some sort of flavor to it from what Priya told me. Seriously! Why would you intentionally give us cold food?" Huey D. asked.

"That was the point. It was intentional." Huey F. said.

"Well that's even worse!" Huey D. said.

"I fail to understand how you think we'll readily eat such low quality food." Eliza said.

"Oh trust me. I'm not forcing you to eat it. If you wanna starve yourself that's fine too. But hey, it's your fault for not being in first." Chris said. "The Breakers got first and earned themselves some pizza. Just like you earned grits, or whatever it is that Chef served." Chris said before going to Chef. "That is what you served right?"

"Yep."

"How do you not know what he served? You're literally the host of the show." Randy asked.

"Uh, because I was busy, duh." Chris said. "Anyways, ignoring any future complaints about the food, Din's right. This is the planet Mon Calamari! Or in the native language Dac! And as Libby correctly observed, yes! We are underwater!"

"Another underwater city? Cool!" Dewey said.

"What do you mean another one? You've been to this planet before?" Isagi asked.

"No. Not this place. Atlantis." Dewey said.

"Before it got destroyed that is. Let's hope this one doesn't get destroyed too." Huey D. said.

"You've been to Atlantis!?" Scott asked, amazed.

"Forget Atlantis. Try going to a moving underwater city. Kumari Kandem. Best part is, I'm actually friends with it's king." Zak S. said, referring to Ulraj.

"Big f[censored]ing deal. It's not like we don't do s[censored] like this on our adventures right Morty?" Rick said.

"Well yeah but, I still think it's pretty cool that Zak's friends with the King." Morty said.

"Meh, I couldn't care less honestly." Rick said.

"If that's the case, name one thing that you've done that tops that." Yang said.

"Let's see... a version of Earth that's basically Mad Max IRL, you know that Cromulons s[censored] that some of you saw? Yeah we did that too. Not just that Rick and Morty and saved our Earth from getting destroyed. Several dimensions while being chased by the Council of Ricks. Oh yeah, did I mention we went to Atlantis ourselves and got some mermaid p[censored] and didn't f[censored]ing destroy it? Tell 'em Morty."

"Yeah. It was. Cool." Morty said, not exactly showing any form of confidence whatsoever in him saying that.

"So you got to see mermaids huh? Were they pretty?" Johnny asked.

"Pretty? They were drop dead motherf[censored]ing gorgeous!" Rick said.

"Hey old man, you think you can take me to Atlantis too? I think I'd be up for an anatomy lesson." Haizaki asked.

"Please. You would quit anatomy after the first day. Unless you cheat at it. Like you've done several times before in classes." Midorima said, offended that Haizaki would bring up that subject as science subjects like Biology and Chemistry were his strongest subjects in school.

"That's 'cause it's a waste of time. Why would I put in more work than I have to?" Haizaki said, shrugging.

"A way of thinking that got you kicked out from your team." Weiss said.

"How the hell do you know that?" Haizaki asked no longer smiling as he looked at the huntress suspiciously.

"Not sure, but I do know that it's about to be time for you guys to practice racing." Chris said.

"Wait, will we not have time to communicate with some of the locals first? I am interested in learning about them." Rook said.

"You want to learn about them, you're going to have to learn here. I'll be right back. There's some people I have to get before we start. Chef, make sure no one leaves. Got it?" Chris said before opening a portal and going through.

"Leave and you get instantly eliminated! We clear?" Chef asked. "Now, other than that, you can talk, enjoy yourselves, whatever you wanna do. I won't bother you."

"Wonder what kind of race we're gonna do here? We have been doing different types of races each time." Myron said.

"More than likely, it'll be podracing." Din said.

"Podracing huh? Sounds fun. Have you done this before?" Dewey asked.

"No. But I've heard of it." Din said.

"What do you know about it? The more we know, the better." Isagi asked the bounty hunter. Although he didn't have much interest in participating himself as he's no racer, it wouldn't help to know more in case he was asked to answer the call and participate.

"Like the races you've done before, you'll race on a circuit for a certain amount of laps. Except this time, you'll be racing in repulsorcrafts called podracers. They're fast. Faster than even the kids' bikes." Din said, looking in the direction of Ben and Yang. "It's a dangerous sport. More dangerous than even the first race you did. But from what I've seen, some of you should be able to handle it. I can race with you and take one of the three spots."

"I know there was the whole thing of trying to stagger experienced racers, but if this is even more dangerous than the Storm Realm race, it's a good idea for us to put our best out there for this." Maki said.

"I see. My experience as a pilot should be enough for me to participate." Rook said.

"I have experience in piloting myself. I wish I could help but I was already in the first race." Razer said.

"I've flown a couple of vehicles before. Like the airship. I should be able to race." Zak S. said.

"If he can fly then so can I." Zak M. said.

"Now you want to participate? Give me a break." Fiona said.

"If he's got experience, let him." Hanamiya said.

"Yeah. Last thing we want to happen is for someone to get hurt or worse." Mr. Wolf said.

"Hey Toxsa, you should put those piloting skills to use." Miyuki suggested.

"Awesome idea!" Toxsa said. "Looks like I'm player 2!"

"Great! So who's going to be the last guy?" Scott asked.

"Uh you. You won, remember?" Hailey reminded.

"Oh yeah! You're right! Totally forgot!" Scott said.

"Good luck!" Molly said.

"Thanks! I've never done this before. But it should be fun." Scott said.

"It'll be just like a video game. Probably a little like Star Wolf." Toxsa said.

"I guess I can race." Rick said. "If only to fix the s[censored] that you losers created. Watch and learn Morty."

"Please do. I wouldn't mind one bit." Lanolin said, coming off as passively sarcastic because of the scientists' attitude but genuinely wanting to win.

"Rick, l-let me give it a try." Morty said.

"The f[censored]? Why? Didn't you hear how dangerous this s[censored] is?" Rick said.

"I-I know. But, you did teach me how to pilot. Besides, we still should stagger our stronger racers right? What if one of the races involves driving?" Morty reasoned.

Hiruma silently observed the conversation.

"Morty. No means no! I told you I've got it!" Rick said.

"Rick, you've wanted me to have the balls to do s[censored] myself. And now I want to do it." Morty said.

"That is true. Fine." Rick said.

Hiruma lightly hits Morty in the back with the but of his gun. "The f[censored]ing old baldini goes."

"What? But I said to-" Morty said before Hiruma shot the air.

"Okay! Okay! Jeez."

"I really wanted to go. Sorry." Morty said to Sena.

"Don't worry, you'll get another chance eventually." Sena said with a friendly smile.

"At least someone's making sense here." Rick said.

***Confessional***

Hiruma(Radical Rats):

"Yes I want Morty to be confident in himself. But this is too much of a test for him to handle. Despite me believing Sena could handle Shin in our first rematch against the White Knights in a tournament since our last lost against them, he couldn't. We lost to them again. And the pain he endured almost drove him to want to quit playing. And understandably so. Shin is the best linebacker in the high school scene and at the time, the fastest player in football. Admittedly, I gave up myself. But he didn't quit. And he gained the speed to get past him just once, which proved me right about his potential. Even if it wasn't enough to win. Since then, I've never quit on games or the team despite how large the odds are against us. That was when I also realized that we needed more dedicated payers to stand a chance at beating stronger teams. Not just Sena, myself and Kurita. The same applies here. This team isn't about just one person. Morty will get his chance to prove himself. But it won't be now."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Rick(Radical Rats):

"I was gonna just let him go and let him figure it out for himself. Sometimes, he tries to fix everything himself and he just makes things worse. Hiruma saved his a[censored]. I was just gonna let him learn the hard way."

***End Confessional***

"I've got this." Axl said.

"No. You heard what Din said. This is dangerous. If anything, X or I should do this." Zero said.

"My job is to fight Mavericks. If I can't handle this, then I have no business being a Maverick Hunter." Axl said.

"We're already behind. Recklessness is the last thing we need." Lanolin said.

"Wait a sec. Falcon, you're a pilot. Why don't you give it a try?" Owen asked.

"I'm a pilot of planes. Not podracers. There's a difference." Falcon said.

"But you were able to fly in those Skimmers fine." Rally said, referring to a previous merger challenge from Multiverse Edition.

"I kinda didn't have much of a choice then." Falcon said. "But, you've got a point. I've never been someone that's really backed down from a challenge. Literally, in this case. I'll do it."

"Kid. No." Old Bennett said, knowing the look on Young Bennett's face.

"I'll take the third spot." Young Bennett said, a confident smile on his face.

Old Bennett facepalmed.

"Have some faith. He's got the confidence for it. Besides, you guys did say you're from the future right?" Tangle asked.

"That doesn't make it any less of a bad idea. I don't want to see him killed!" Old Bennett said.

"I'll be fine. It's not like I'm going to actually have to do anything other than pilot them. So other than steering and controlling the speed, there's not much else I have to do on my end when it comes to work." Young Bennett said.

"I'd say let him go. If he thinks he can do it I say go for it." Kise said.

"Same here. He's going to have to answer the bell eventually and get called on for a challenge. Sittin' back and waitin' ain't gonna do him any favors. I say let him embrace it!" Kagami said.

"I'm not exactly experienced in this either so there's probably a few things I've gotta learn myself. But if he's from the future. Well, way more into the future than this is, I'm confident he can catch on." Falcon said.

"Yeah. If he can make something as awesome as that ear thing, I think he's smart enough to learn how to do this too." Natsu said.

"Speaking of that, did you guys ever come up with a better name for that?" Zee asked Cicini.

"Just call it an earbud. You don't really have to come up with a name for everything." Sanders said.

"Yeah but, has anyone ever come up with something that's capable of letting you talk across most worlds?" Cicini reasoned.

"Probably not." Young Bennett said.

"I could." Rick said.

"Yet you haven't." Old Bennett said.

"Because I've had no reason to." Rick said.

"Would you two give it a rest already?" Rally was sharing the sentiments of several others on the team. She was just the first one to say it.

"Give what a rest? Nothing was even started in the first place." Rick said.

"Oh yeah, start something and then hide your hand." Old Bennett said.

"I'm not hiding s[censored]. If you saw everything I've got, you'd s[censored] your pants, virtually and IRL." Rick said.

"Really like how the oldest people here are fighting too." Zak M. said to Randy said.

"That my friend is the smell of 'tish." Randy said.

"What?" The Anti-Kur reincarnation said with confusion on his face.

"Competition dude. Come on man, get with the program."

"Or maybe just use words that people actually know?"

"Speaking of words, does anyone know what they're saying?" Jenny asked, trying to understand what the Mon Calamari were saying to Rook and Razer.

"Don't know, don't really care to be honest." Zak M. said.

"Well I'm going to go find out." Jenny went to where Rook and Razer were.

"Yeah. You have fun with that."

Razer continued to be the mediator between Rook and the Mon Calamari, translating between the two languages. The Mon Calamari that was talking to them had a bipedal, amphibious appearance with high-domed heads, webbed hands and large, goggle-like eyes, which stuck out from the sides of their head. This one in particular was a male civilian and wore blue and green robes.

"He says that he is looking forward to seeing a Mandalorian race. Although he is slightly interested in you as well. Though, if he had to put his credits on it, he'd bet towards the Mandalorian winning." Razer said, translating to Rook.

"I see. That is certainly understandable. But I would say not to underestimate me as well." Rook said.

"Didn't take you to be the confident type." Yang said.

"I am not. I am just stating a fact due to my experience in piloting." Rook said.

"He's lying." Ben whispered low to Yang and Rex.

"He says that we shall see. He wishes you all the best of luck. Though he believes that most of you will probably die." Razer said.

"Wow." Zak S. said, a little shocked at his blunt honesty.

"Thanks for the encouraging words." Falcon said sarcastically.

"Pssh. This guy thinks we're total noobs. You couldn't more wrong buddy!" Toxsa said.

"But, we've never actually done this before. So wouldn't that still make us noobs?" Scott reasoned.

"Remind me to never have you as my hype man." Toxsa said, more exasperated than anything else. "Well, it's a good thing he can't understand us."

"Can I be your hype man?" Nimona asked.

"Uh, sure?" Toxsa basically accepted it as he wasn't sure what else to say with her coming out of the blue.

Chris reappeared with several others in a portal.

"Alright guys, we're about to get ready to start. But first, I'd like to let you know that this will be the last race of the Gran Prix!" Chris announced, which surprised almost everyone. A mixture of voices were heard, which were mostly confusion and displeasure.

"Are you serious? What happened to the other races?" Ruby R. asked.

"THAT'S BULLS[CENSORED]! THERE'S NO WAY IN HELL WE'RE GONNA BE ABLE TO WIN NOW!" Kagami said.

"Let me finish. This is gonna be the last race, but with how it's structured, every team has a chance to win. Now then, with me will be an extra announcer for this race." Chris said. "Meet the Cloud Strider from the Planet Neptune, Nimbus!"

"What's up guys? Gotta say, I'm excited to be here." Nimbus said. They were tall, taller than even Jasmine, who was the tallest contestant on the show.

"Wow. And I thought she was tall." Mona said, referring to Jasmine noticing how Nimbus towered over everyone in the show.

"Yeah. Imagine Nimbus playing volleyball." Hinata said.

"Three words: An absolute monster." Kageyama said.

"Atsushi wishes he was this tall." Haizaki said.

"Honestly though, imagining him being that tall is a really terrifying thought. And he's already taller than all of us." Kise said.

"Seriously? How tall is he?" Adrien asked.

"Don't really keep up with height numbers. I just know he's the tallest out of all of us." Kise said.

"All of us as in everyone competing here or the tallest out of you Miracles?" Hinata said.

"Just out of the six of us. Only person I think could give him a run for his money when it comes to height is Jasmine." Kise said.

"You guys talkin' about me? I'm flattered." Nimbus said.

"How did you even get to be that tall? What kinda food did you eat?" Natsu asked.

"Byproduct of becoming a Cloud Strider my man!" Nimbus said.

"A Cloud Strider? What's that?"

"As you can see, I'm human, just like most of you guys." Nimbus said.

"No wonder why the scan wasn't working." Ben said.

"Except, I was born on Neptune in the city Neomuna. As a Cloud Strider, my job is to defend the city of Neomuna from the forces of darkness. Bad guys like the Vex and the Cabal. Though I'm sure most of you have no idea who they are. Just know they're bad news." Nimbus explained. "There's more to it, but for the sake of getting into the race, I'll keep it there."

"Vex? Cabal? Do you know guardians?" Ruby R. asked.

"Yep! Why do you ask?"

"We were guardians!" Ruby R. said, referring to her and the rest of Team RWBY minus Penny.

"Seriously! Guardians are on the show?! Oh that is straight up awesome! Now I don't feel as bad for not making the cut to compete." Nimbus said. "Whichever team has you guys are lucky to have you. As you might have already seen."

"Wait. Timeout. You guys are guardians?" Luz asked in genuine surprise, remembering what Lord Shaxx showed them and the plethora of powers put on display before the crucible match.

"Well, were. Since we left, we no longer have those awesome powers. If we did, wouldn't you think we'd be putting them to use? I mean who wouldn't want to throw flaming hammers?" Yang reasoned.

"Or have all those awesome guns? You think Hiruma has weapons? You should have checked out our inventory." Ruby R. said, still saddened by the fact that she had to leave all of the weapons behind.

"Oh yeah. I experienced all of those firsthand. Too bad it wasn't enough." Rally said, the memories of her skills not being enough to get her and her teammates to the merger right at the end.

"Hey, not everyone's perfect. And if I know you from the time we've spent together last season, you've worked hard enough for that to not happen again." Ruby R. said.

"I have no clue what you guys are talking about, but if you can throw flaming hammers, they seem awesome in my book." Natsu said.

"Forget flaming hammers. Try Golden Guns." Ruby R. said.

"Friend Penny, what are you all talking about?" Penny asked.

"Ohhhh right. You weren't there when it happened." Ruby R. said. "You see, there-"

"Cool story. A story you'll have to get to later. It's time to get ready for the first part of the race! I trust you guys have already chosen your racers?" Chris asked.

"Yes!" Ruby R. said.

"Ready to roll." Toxsa said.

"Ready when you are." Falcon said.

"Cool! Because... none of that matters!" Chris said.

"What? Why?" Sendo asked.

"Easy. This first part's going to work a little different. You won't be racing in vehicles on this circuit. Instead, you'll be racing on foot! All three choices from each team will be randomized. However, the higher your position, the more freedom of choice you'll have in who races. First place will have three choices, second two, and third one. Now, for the second part of the race, I'm going to need everyone that was originally chosen to come forward." Chris said.

Din, Zak S. and Rook all came forward for the Kings.

Falcon, Young Bennett and Rick all came forward for the Rats.

Zak M., Toxsa and Scott all came forward.

"Cool, you guys are going to come with me and choose your podracers!" Chris said.

"If we were still going to race, why did you say none of it mattered? You could have been a bit more specific." Falcon said.

"If your teammates don't do this right, it still might not matter. At least until it's too late." Chris said.

"Okay, so what's the rules?" Kageyama asked.

"Like I said before, this will be a foot race across the same podracing circuit here. But, you'll all have batons like in the broom race. Except, these will be the stick batons you all know and love. But, here's the kicker, each team member will have their own baton that's color coded! You must pass your batons to your teammates! All of them! One for each team member. If you cross and you don't have the baton to pass to your teammates, or you pass the baton to the wrong perso then that's a ten second waiting penalty for your entire team! The more batons that aren't passed the longer you'll have to wait! So make sure you hold on to them tight. As for abilities, everything but flying and direct teleportation is allowed! By the time you get to the end, your podracing teammates will be waiting for the batons, make sure you pass it to them because they'll need them." Chris explained.

"Now then, make your picks! Breakers! You've got freedom to choose all three! Kings! You've got two choices! Rats! One!"

"How many fast guys do we have left on this team?" MacArthur asked.

"More than enough." Kagami said confidently.

"I'm cat quick." Adrien said.

"Jeez, would you give it a rest with the cat jokes?" Sendo said.

"Cat boy, you're up." Hiruma said.

"Who made you captain of this team?" MacArthur asked.

"To be fair, his suggestion to put in Kurita was solid. He didn't even feel Alejandro." Rally said.

"And your strategy to stagger good racers was sound too. Adrien, are you up for it?" X asked.

"Of course!" Adrien said.

"Alright then. Looks like we have our pick." Lanolin said.

Sendo lightly hit him on the shoulder. "Hey, show 'em what you're made of."

"Oh trust me, luck is not gonna be on their side today." Adrien said.

"Why do I feel like that's another subtle cat joke?" Sendo said, sighing. "Just win damn it."

Adrien(Radical Rats):

"After what happened earlier, I'll admit, I've been waiting to show everyone what I can do again. I know they already have an idea but, I can be relied on."

"What are you talking about? Your team trusts you. Why do you think that football guy wanted you in?" Plagg reasoned.

"Honestly, with how he is, I have no idea what he's thinking. And I'm not sure I really want to know. But, I can't say the same for everyone else. Like I said, everyone has their reasons for wanting to enter. The last thing I want to do is be the reason why someone here doesn't have a chance to win. Everyone's trying their hardest. Or in Monta's case, vocally too." Adrien said before laughing a little at how energetic the small receiver always ways. "I don't want to be a burden."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Hiruma(Radical Rats):

"I'm already aware of his speed. And his strength. From what I've learned about him so far, he's got great balance in both. I don't know if he's the strongest in terms of strength as I still need to learn more about Dragon Boy and the Robotboys. Yes, I'm aware of Lucy. But from what I've seen so far, she's capable, but prefers to have her spirits help her. But that's not why I suggested him to race. Despite what Rocky II says, cat boy looks as if he truly does want to help despite his connection to pigtails. And now, I want to give him the chance to show that to everyone here."

***End Confessional***

"If abilities are allowed, we need more than just raw speed. Doesn't matter how fast you are, if you can't take the punishment to hold on to the baton, it's not going to help. Besides, I've got more than enough experience with using polearms." Maki said.

"But this isn't a weapon." Luz said.

"Who says it can't be? Not me." Maki said, a confident smile on her face.

"I'll be the second choice." Paul said.

"Seriously? I know for sure I can outrun you easy." Aomine said.

"That may be true, but you don't have the means to truly defend yourself." Paul said.

"Who says I don't? But fine. Do what you want. Let's see what you've got." Aomine said, eyes closed.

"I'll take one of the batons." Kunigami said.

"Second on that." Haizaki said.

"Please. Neiher of you are capable of winning that's for sure." Bass said, which was his way of wanting the third baton.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea. Don't you remember the last time you two got together?" Jasmine reminded them.

"And with Bass around, I think that's going to make things worse." Ayame said.

"As long as he doesn't slow me down we're good. That's when the problems came in." Haizaki said.

Kunigami was silent.

"What are you deaf? Say somethin'!" Haizaki said.

"I've got nothing to say to you other than don't slow me down." Kunigami said.

"Okay you two, it's pretty clear someone needs to be the mediator to stop a fight." Ayame said, about to volunteer before Shiro walked forward.

"I'll race." Shiro said, pulling out his Lightning Wolver. The car was white with some parts of the vehicle being gold, purple and gray. A moon could also be seen n front of its power stone.

"You're really gonna race Shiro?" Kaz asked, surprised, considering this wasn't a Scan2Go race.

Shiro nodded.

"Oh I see." Kaz said, smiling. "This might be the last race in the Gran Prix so you're trying to make sure you get in on the action too! Am I right?" He said, nudging Shiro.

Shiro only closed his eyes. "We're leading. But there's still a chance we could lose. With how Economy Class was, I'm sure no one goes to back there."

"I for sure don't." Kageyama said.

"Or, that too." Kaz said.

"If you want an opportunity to race, ask the others. I'm not giving my spot up." Bass said.

"Fine then. You wanna race, be my guest." Haizaki said dismissively. "Just don't mess this up."

"I would compliment him, but even acts like these aren't even done in a commendable manner." Midrima commented.

"Kise did the same thing. Do you think this is a case of him trying to outshine him in this? Since they have similar abilities and a past history." Marinette asked.

"No. If anything, his pride would have him do the exact opposite and insist on competing." Akashi said.

"Then what reason do you think he would have to do this?" Isagi asked.

"Honestly, I'm not sure." Akashi said as he looked at Haizaki who idly had his hands in his jacket pockets.

"Hey wait a minute, if this is the last race that means I don't get a chance to race!" Fiona said.

"I wanted to show off my Giamoth! Well, guess there's always the next challenge." Diego said, shrugging.

"I don't mind. I'm willing to wait. After all, patience is key." Myron said.

"Stop kidding yourself Myron. You know you wanted to race too." Fiona said.

"Okay, maybe a little." Myron admitted.

***Confessional***

Kaz(Wave Breakers):

"Don't let Shiro fool ya. He's just as fired up about racing here too. It's a shame that the others don't get a chance to race too though."

Kise(Radical Rats):

"Haizaki giving up his spot was the last thing I expected, so color me surprised. But I guess it makes sense. He's got no history with the other people here. Then again, he's the last person I expect to play hard or do something for the sake of his team."

***End Confessional***

"Alright, now that the teams are decided, here are your color coded batons! Handle them with care!" Chris said as the teams were all given batons based on their team colors. The Rats were red, the Kings were purple, while the Breakers were blue.

"Huh." Maki said, feeling the material of the batons. She expected them to be something cheap. If anything, it was somewhere in the middle.

"Huh. Red honestly makes sense to be honest." Becky B. said.

"Why?" Adrien asked.

"You haven't noticed? To be honest, as much of a coincidence as it is, there's a running theme with these teams it seems. The rats are red, which as Dawn pointed out, meant passion. Sendo, Natsu, Kagami, Rei and Falcon are the usual suspects for this. But I'd say we're all passionate about something in our own way. I could mention the anger aspect, but I think that's pretty obvious. For the Kings, there's their leadership. With a bit of confidence for some of them as well. Sly, Aomine, Isagi, Eliza, Maki, Courtney, Heather, and believe it or not, Paul among others-"

"We get it, you're a walking encyclopedia. Now it's time to figure out who's going to run." Chris said.

"Oh. I got carried away. Sorry. See what I mean about the passionate part?" Becky B. said.

"Huh. I can definitely see what you mean." Adrien said, noticing the theme within the teams for the first time.

"Mamori! Noah! You're up for the Rats!"

"Let's get this over with." Noah said.

"Hey, try not to hurt yourself. I might not be around to catch you." Haizaki said to Mamori, who ignored his comments.

"I'm not feeling too confident about this. Adrien can hold his own. But what about Noah and Mamori?" Kise said.

"GO MAMORI!" Monta shouted out loud.

"Shrimp, hand me the earpiece." Hiruma said to Bennett.

"Uh, okay." Young Bennett said, wondering what he was going to do before he realized he was probably going to hand it to Mamori so he could talk to her through it, which was exactly what he did. But after he did, he did several hand signs to her along with handing her a sash that had a rocket launcher on it, an assault rifle, several bombs and glue. She also did hands signs back.

"Uh, what're they doing?" Akko asked.

"That's their hand signal communication." Monta whispered.

"But isn't sign-" Akko said before Monta covered her mouth.

"I think it's supposed to be a secret." Lotte whispered low.

"Oh! Okay!" Akko said, muffled but nodded her head to show she understood.

Hiruma was already back.

"That was quick. What was that?" Kagami asked.

"All I told her was good luck." Hiruma said.

"I smell a lie." Libby said, giving Hiruma the stink eye.

"What were they sayin'?" Bad Launch, who had a rifle in her hand herself asked.

"Not sure. But whatever it was, it wasn't even close to being the truth. I can see right through that evil face of his." Libby said.

"It was some sort of sign language. But usually, sign language has more hand signals than that. It doesn't really make any sense." Molly said.

"That's because it's not supposed to. At least to us." Miyuki said, grinning.

"Do you think you can figure it out?" Zoey asked.

"Don't know. Doesn't mean I won't try though." Miyuki said.

"I've got a bad feeling about this." Scratch said.

"Ghosts can't feel anything. Right?" Hinata said.

"Hand signals huh? Interesting." Hanamiya thought, observing the hand signals the entire time.

"So you really want to know what I was saying? Fine, I'll tell you." Hiruma said grinning.

"There's no way you're that stupid to tell us." Bad Launch said.

Suddenly Mamori was also grinning, a rifle in her hand as well, given to her by Hiruma.

"I told her to rip your f[censored]ing heads off!" Hiruma said.

"No mercy!" Mamori said.

Monta, Sena, Kurita, Morty and several others were horrified at the sight of Mamori being like this.

"YA-HAAAAAAAA!" Mamori and Hiruma both shot in the air.

Launch also shot her gun in the air too.

"Don't let those two scare ya! We're not showin' any mercy either! Murder 'em!" Bad Launch said to Kunigami, Bass and Shiro before sneezing.

"Please do your best!"

"Shut the hell up. I don't need to be told to win. I'll crush them all." Kunigami said.

"Don't slow me down." Bass said to Kunigami who only grunted.

"And I thought it was only him that had a screw loose." Emma said, shocked as well at Mamori's sudden change.

"Hold it!" Jotaro said. "He's lying again. It's all an act."

"When he passed Mamori that gun, he slipped something to her." Jotaro said, using his Stand to catch the black envelope.

"Ah ha!" Libby said. "Great observation skills Jotaro!" She said, giving a thumbs up to the Stand user. Although he said nothing in return, which made her feel a little uncomfortable.

"ALL RIGHT BUDDY! COUGH IT UP!" Eijun yelled out.

Eijun was pushed out of the way by Kageyama. "Get out of the way idiot and let the professionals handle this."

"None of them are professionals." Tsukishima said.

"I didn't see you solve anything! Jotaro and Libby did all the work!" Kageyama said.

"What work?"

"Can you just be supportive for once? Jeez."

"Now to uncover the evidence and put an end to this short-lived mystery!" Libby said before Urien takes the envelope for himself.

"From here it looks as if Mamori was going to target Din or Scott for an attack, using the earpiece as a jumpscare somehow." Urien said from reading the paper. "Hmph. Your plans have been ruined." He said before ripping the paper in two.

Hiruma grunted a little before going back to where the rest of his team was. "Manajerk, let cat boy take the lead. You and the f[censored]ing nerd stay behind him."

"Don't worry, you're in good hands." The Paris superhero said confidently. "Or should I say, paws."

"Oh I'm not worried. But they should be." Mamori said before performing a laugh similar to Karin's.

"Okay, maybe that wasn't an act." Toxsa said, genuinely concerned now.

***Confessional***

Miyuki(Wave Breakers):

"If nothing else, those hand signs were real. Now I just have to figure out what they really mean. Trust me, he was lying again there too. It's just no one caught the third one." Miyuki said, grinning, not fooled by Hiruma's tricks.

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Isagi(Storm Kings):

"So Hiruma's communicating through hand signals. I'll admit, that's not something I expected out of him of all people. But trying to figure it out is pointless. I'll have to see it in action and then see what I can do."

***End Confessional***

"Sly! You're the third member for your team!" Chris announced.

"Wish me luck." Sly said.

Sly(Storm Kings):

"I wouldn't say I'm a strong fighter by a long shot. But that doesn't mean I can't hold my own."

The nine were at the starting line, batons in hand as the rest of the contestants, with the exception of the nine podracers, who were were with Chris, headed to the spectating bleachers along with the rest of the crowd. A preview of the track was shown as DJ and Nimbus talked.

DJ: "Welcome Total Drama Fans, Mon Calamari and Quarren to the final race of this Gran Prix, taking place on the planet Mon Calamari, or Dac, as known in the native language! In this final race, it'll be a relay race to the finish! The track is being hosted by the gigantic floating city Oroturu G'Am! Hope I'm pronouncing that right."

Nimbus: "I'm lookin' forward to this one. I don't know much about this planet, but I am lookin' forward to taking a look at this cool city! And an awesome race to boot!"

DJ: "The racers will get a tour of the metropolis, as the course cuts towards the Pacific Plaza across the Hall of Heroes. Hope those legs don't get tired, because that spiral is a long way down. Racers! Get ready!"

"Plagg! Claws out!" Adrien called out before transforming into Cat Noir.

"Gyrados! Stand by for battle!" Paul called out, bringing out said Pokemon.

Shiro holds up his card before swiping the Scan Card across Lightning Wolver. "Get ready Wolver! Scan 2!" The power stone color in the car changed to red, indicating that two turbo boosts were available to it for the race.

Maki was already wielding a naginata in her left hand along with the baton in her right, fully intending on fighting with both.

Sly was already wielding his cane.

Noah was the only one unarmed.

"So I'm the only one here without anything to fight with? Wow." Noah said.

Mamori got in his face and shot in the air angrily, which scared Noah.

"Stay behind me! Get in front of me and you'll regret it! Got it!?" Mamori said.

"Whatever you say." He said, not even going to question her.

DJ and Shiro: "GO!"

The nine were already off running, with Paul's Gyrados and Lightning Wolver following aside their respective owners.

"Hyper Beam! Right now!" Paul called out.

"Paul's calling out an attack that early?" Bren said, surprised.

Gyrados began to charge golden energy from its mouth.

"Sly! Watch it!" Maki called out.

"Uh oh." Adrien said. "Better brace for impact!"

Gyrados unleashed the beam of energy from its mouth, the attack targeting everyone in the general area. Though time was suddenly slowed.

Nimbus: "Looks like Paul's goin' for a one turn kill here!"

DJ: "But at the cost of some of his teammates being potentially hit as well! Did he forget that this is a team race?"

When the dust settled, and time sped back up, the entirety of the Rats were still standing, with Adrien protecting Noah and Mamori and Maki and Sly also being unaffected, both evading the attack. An energy blast was seen being shot at Gyrados. But before it could reach him, Maki leapt and blocked the blast, knocking her back. Though Kunigami was knocked to the ground along with Shiro with the latter being the first one to recover. Though as he did, Lightning Wolver came back into view.

"You guys okay?" Cat Noir asked.

"Never better." Noah said. Mamori nodded.

"At least give us a warning you're going to do that next time." Sly said.

"Considering I called out the attack, that should have been more than enough." Paul said as they rounded a right turn.

"Ah, now I see." Eliza said.

"What is it?" Isagi asked.

"Paul used the attack to try and weed out some of the weaker competition. Which, from the looks of things, worked pretty well." Eliza explained.

"A pathetic sacrifice. And a useless one at that." Bass said before charging another blast at Gyrados.

"Hydro Pump!" Paul called out, unconcerned with Bass' words.

A water powerful blast of water was unleashed from Gyrados' mouth, cancelling out the blast from Bass.

Bass was suddenly hit by Sly's cane.

"A little early to be confident when you're outnumbered." Sly said. Though he was suddenly struck from behind. The source being Lightning Wolver, coming in with enough speed to cause him to stumble. Sly thought about spinning around with his cane to retaliate but decided against it, believing the move to be reckless and instead was going to try to see if he can patiently find the attacker. Which showed up right in front of him with Shiro not being too far behind.

"I stand corrected." Sly said.

Gyarados slammed the ground which sent Lightning Wolver flying in the air. Though Bass hopped out of the way and dodged the attack.

"Grab it and use Ice Fang!"

"Wolver! Right now!" Shiro called out. The machine disappeared again before Gyarados could grab it.

"It vanished!?" Julie said, surprised.

"Gyarados stay alert!" Paul called out.

Gyarados looked around, trying to find the Scan2Go machine.

"Above you!" Paul warned. But it was too late. The machine had already come down and hit the Pokemon on the head, causing it to stagger as Lightning Wolver landed harmlessly on the ground.

DJ: "And it looks like everyone's pulling out all the stops for this one! With Bass' blasts and Paul and Shiro showing off their special moves, if there's one thing for sure, no one's leaving this race without a scratch or two on them!"

Ding Ding

Paul sighed after hearing the sound.

"Great." Shiro said, also knowing what the noise meant, though he wasn't thrilled about it either as there were two paths made available. One kept the racers on the ground, while the other was a track area that elevated them.

Living in the City Composed by Richard Jacques and Performed by TJ Davis Plays(Sonic R)

*Short instrumental beginning plays*

Shiro and Paul stayed on the ground along with Adrien, Mamori and Noah. Kunigami, Bass, Sly and Maki all took the right elevating path.

Nimbus: "Man, Shiro and Paul don't look pleased. What's goin' on?"

DJ: "From the looks of things, I think we've got a musical on our hands!"

Nimbus: "A musical huh? Wouldn't call myself a singer, but, I guess I might dabble at it. You sing?"

DJ: "No. Announcing and commentating's more of my thing."

"Pathetic huh? We're not done yet!" Maki said, polearm in hand along with the baton, looking as if the hit from Bass took no toll on her.

"I could say the same thing!" Kunigami roared, also running to catch up.

"Why am I surprised? I wouldn't expect anything less." Isagi thought, smiling as Kunigami didn't look shaken at all, even in the face of being clearly outmatched when it comes to abilities from his opponents and even his own teammates with the exception of Noah and Mamori.

Adrien and Nimbus: Living in the city

Sly: You know you have to survive

Bass shoots Ice at the ground, using the Ice Slasher special weapon which would have frozen him on contact had he not jumped over it.

Maki: Living in the city

Maki strikes at Bass, denying him from barraging Sly with several uncharged buster blasts, allowing him to safely land on the ground.

Sly: You've got to keep the dream alive

Adrien: Living in the city

Noah:Where everything is free

Mamori: Living in the city

Adrien, Noah and Mamori:Can't you see?

Cat Noir attacks Gyarados.

"Water huh? A cat's not-so best friend." Cat Noir said.

"Is that so? Aqua Tail!" Paul called out.

Gyarados swings it's tail at Adrien as it was engulfed in swirling water, attempting to hit him with it numerous times.

"Now!" Shiro called out, which caused Paul and Adrien to look over at Shiro with him and Lightning Wolver being behind both.

"Blizzard Storm!"

A ring of yellow energy was seen in front of the machine as it unleashed a large gust of cold wind at both Cat Noir and Gyarados.

Though the attack was interrupted by Mamori who came in throwing several bombs as they exploded, causing Shiro, Adrien, Paul and Gyarados to have to retreat. Adrien realized he had one in his hands, but it was too late. Though it didn't explode as it had Hiruma's face on it. Instead, it opened up and had a note in it.

"You've got to be joking." Shiro said.

"In a way, I really wish it was a joke." Noah said, still behind Mamori as she started to spray bullets at Lightning Wolver and Gyarados next.

Maki: Living in the city

Sly: You know you have to survive

Kunigami attempts to bump Sly out of the way, but he easily dodges the attack and trips him up with his cane before taking his baton.

"Damn it!" Kunigami said before instantly getting up to run and get the baton back.

Maki: Living in the city

Adrien: You've got to keep the dream alive

Adrien took a path upwards that merged into the elevated part of the track that Bass, Kunigami, Maki and Sly were on.

Sly: Living in the city

Adrien: Where everything is free

Maki: Living in the city

Adrien and Sly: Can't you see?

It became a long-ranged battle between Adrien, Maki and to an extent, Sly, with Bass attempting to attack all three with the Triple Blade special weapon, which sent three blades downwards in different directions as he was jumping.

Noah: So many different things to see

Mamori: There's no time

The pair continued along the path on the ground with Shiro and Paul as the two continued to battle with Mamori continuing to fire at them with bullets.

Mamori: So many different things to do

Noah: But there's no time

"Again! Hyper Beam!"

Gyarados unleashed another hyper beam at his adversaries, causing them all, except for Shiro and Lightning Wolver to take cover.

Seeing that Mamori and Noah were taken care of, Paul decided to focus on Shiro and Lightning Wolver, which reappeared.

Maki: So many people all around

Adrien:So many feelings to be found

Sly: Living in a city where no one lets you down

Maki left Sly to deal with Adrien as Bass was still a problem, attacking them from a distance. Bass used the wave burner, sending a wave of fire in Maki's direction to try and intimidate her from coming forward. But it didn't work. Instead, she jumped, which as she expected, Bass continued to fire at her.

Although it wasn't buster blasts like she expected, it wasn't enough of a drastic change to affect what she wanted to do. She threw the baton she had behind him, which was so hard it was stuck into the ground. Afterwards, she followed it up by breaking apart her naginata and throwing the bladeless part at him, which he also dodged along with the second part. What he didn't expect was for her to throw one of the Triple blades he shot right back at him, which he narrowly dodged. The opening window was just enough for her to throw the second one she had, knocking the baton out of Bass' hand.

"Thanks for the weapons." Maki said, picking up both her baton and Bass'.

Bass balled up his fist in anger before running to go and catch her, trying to avoid being in the crossfire of Adrien and Sly.

Sly: Living in the city

Adrien:You know you have to survive

Sly tried to keep Adrien out of reach, as he was already aware that he was at a disadvantage in the strength department, which was working. Adrien couldn't get in to land any good hits on the raccoon.

Sly and Adrien: Living in the city

Noah and Mamori, while trying to catch up to the rest: You've got to keep the dream alive

Sly:Living in the city

Adrien: Where everything is free

Maki: (Living in the city)

Sly and Adrien: Can't you see?

Kunigami came in with a slide, and while Sly was able to jump over it, what he didn't expect was for Kunigami to grab his tail and pull him back down. Hard. Cat Noir jumped over the two to avoid being tripped up himself. The Blue Lock player takes both batons and kicks away Sly's cane, knowing that he was going to try to use it to trip him up before continuing to run.

Maki and Bass were now in the hall of heroes and were beginning to descend downwards.

Sly, as he gets up to get back his cane: Living in the city,

Adrien:(in the city)

Maki: You know you have to survive

As she was leading, she continued dodging attacks from Bass including a Lightning Wool cloud that he shot in front of her to hit her with a lightning strike

Noah and Mamori, now going up on the upper level of the track, beginning to merge with everyone else, but still considerably far behind:Living in the city

Noah: You've got to keep the dream alive

Mamori: (Living in the city)

Adrien: Where everything is free

(Living in the city)

Maki: Can't you see?

Bass was starting to get frustrated at the fact that he couldn't hit the seemingly powerless jujutsu sorcerer which caused him to get more aggressive with his attacks as they made their way to the end of the twist and back outside.

Sly runs trying to catch up to Kunigami, with neither seeming to tire with Paul and Shiro still battling behind them. Shiro's hits weren't convincingly hard enough to bring down Gyarados, and Gyarados couldn't reliably score a hit to put Lightning Wolver out of commission because of it's super speed dashing.

Sly:So many things that we've been through

Mamori:Can you feel it?

Noah: So many things for us to do

Adrien: But can you feel it?

Sly: So many faces all around

Mamori:So many places to be found

Sly: Living in a city where nothing gets you down

Sly catches Kunigami and takes back the batons.

Sly: Ohhhhhh!

"You think I'm gonna lose to a rat like you!?" Kunigami said.

"I'm a raccoon, not a rat." Sly said before getting ready to run before he was tackled to the ground.

"I DON'T GIVE A CRAP WHO YOU ARE! YOU'RE GONNA EAT DIRT!" Kunigami shouted.

Sly: Living in the city

Sly tries to get him off with Kunigami trying his absolute hardest to deny that from happening, while trying wrestle away the batons from him, which was working.

Sly:You know you have to survive

Paul and Shiro went past the two, with Kunigami being unconcerned with what was happening with the pair until Lightning Wolver suddenly came in and knocked away the batons before landing back on the ground.

Maki: (Living in the city)

Adrien, as he was beginning to catch up to Bass and Maki in a straightaway: You've got to keep the dream alive

Noah: (Living in the city)

Mamori, as she and Noah run past Kunigami and Sly who were trying to get the batons: Where everything is free

Noah: (Living in the city)

Maki: Can't you see?

Adrien, dodging attacks from a frustrated Bass: Living in the city

Noah:You know you have to survive

Mamori: (Living in the city)

Adrien: You've got to keep the dream alive

Maki:(Living in the city)

Sly, with him and Kunigami both diving for the batons, with both getting one but unable to get the other:Where everything is free

Maki, as she crosses the finish line first, passing her baton to Din, who was in a silver podracer:Living in the city

Adrien, easily deflecting a shot from Bass and tossing his baton to Falcon, who was in a red podracer:Can't you see?

While Din's podracer had two smaller turbines connected to the cockpit by plasma energy binders, Falcon's red podracer was connected to two larger turbines as requested by Falcon himself to help better familiarize himself with the podracer with something similar to what he already knows.

Bass attempted to attack Paul next, but instead of attacking by himself, he was now with a holographic copy of himself via the Copy Vision special attack. Both were firing at Paul and Gyarados.

"Hydro pump! Now!"

The hydro pump overpowered both sets of the rapid fire buster blaster shots, knocking Bass to the ground.

He passes his baton to Rook.

"Thank you." Rook said.

"Gyarados return!"

He looked down at the robot as Shiro also passed his baton to Toxsa.

"Now who's pathetic?" Paul said which caused Bass to ball up his fist in frustration and anger.

Shiro presses the Power Stone on the machine to deactivate it and then picks it up the machine before preparing to return with the rest of his teammates before telling something to Bass.

"This is what happens when you underestimate your opponents." Shiro said before walking away.

Sly:In the sky at night

Mamori:The stars are shinin' bright

Noah:You can see the city lights

Mamori, Noah and Sly: Cause I'm here to make it righhhht!

Kunigami and Sly were the first two preparing to approach the finish.

"Uh oh." Scott said before frantically getting in his podracer, which was green and white as Kunigami was tossing the baton his way.

"YOU MORON! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CATCH IT!" Kunigami called out.

"Sorry!" Scott called out.

Mamori changed directions and instead aimed at Rick and Bennett.

"Incoming!" Mamori called out as the Kings were already starting. She shot both hers and Noah's batons out of the launcher for Rick and barely Young Bennett to catch.

DJ: "And now we change gears to the podracing section of the race! Let's hope our pilots can handle it!"

Nimbus: "Hope? Nah. I think they got this."

"He he he he he." Hiruma was laughing with a headset on by himself and away from the rest of the contestants.

Scott, as he and the rest of his team were suffering a 20 second waiting penalty: In the city...

Zak M., frowning at Scott: Oh...

Toxsa: Yeah...

Falcon, trying to control the podracer, but having trouble doing so after accidentally hitting the boost, which was unknowingly increasing the temperature of it: Ohhhhhh!

Rook: Living in the city

Young Bennett: You know you have to survive

Falcon, still struggling with the podracer and running into walls as he was overheating the engines in the process: (Living in the city)

Zak S.: You've got to keep the dream alive

Rook: (Living in the city)

Rick: Where everything is free

Young Bennett: (Living in the city)

Old Bennett, as he points in the direction for Young Bennett to go and watch out for: Can't you see?

Falcon, as he was still overheating his podracer, with the engine's reaching critical: Living in the city

Falcon and Hiruma: You know you have to survive

Hiruma: (Living in the city)

Rick: You've got to keep the dream alive

Rook: (Living in the city)

Zak S.: Where everything is free

Young Bennett:(Living in the city)

Hiruma: Can't you see?

Bullets were heard being shot from beside Falcon's seat, which scared him even more and caused him to go into the wall. One more hit and he was done.

"HEY! FOSSIL BOY! STOP AND CALM DOWN!" Hiruma shouted.

"Huh? Hiruma?" Falcon said before turning the baton and noticing that the earpiece was stuck to the baton. He tried to take it off.

"And don't take off the earpiece from the baton either!"

"Isn't it supposed to go on your ear?"

"You don't need it in your ear. You won't be using it much anyways. You say you have experience flying planes. Then fly this just like how you'd fly a plane! If you don't finish, we don't have a shot at winning this!" Hiruma said.

Falcon took a deep breath. "Right. Thanks."

Gunshots were heard. "Get moving Fossil!"

"Alright. Jeez."

Falcon starts to accelerate again, remembering how to repair his engines. He wasn't going to be at a top speed, but he was for sure not going to crash. As for the Breakers, their 20 second penalty was now up.

Falcon: Living in the city

Hiruma: You know you have to survive

Rick, while trying to overtake Rook and Din, who were second and first in the race respectively on the elevated section of the track: (Living in the city)

Rook: You've got to keep the dream alive

Young Bennett and Zak S. as they were going upwards, attempting to merge with the rest of the competitors: (Living in the city)

Zak. S.: Where everything is free

Zak M., boosting along with the rest of his team in an attempt to catch up: (Living in the city)

Scott: Can't you see?

Young Bennett knocks Zak S. off the track, causing him to fall back to the ground. Thankfully, his podracer wasn't destroyed.

"Great." Zak S. said before getting back moving again.

Falcon noticed that the Breakers were starting to catch up to him.

"Uh oh." Falcon said, looking behind him as he heard the noises of the other engines.

"Keep a clear head rich boy! Remember, you've got more experience at piloting than all of those losers!" Hiruma said.

"Right." Falcon said, a confident smirk on his face.

Meanwhile Rick was growing impatient and was just going to try to force his way through.

Rick, trying to boost through as they went down the curve in the hall of heroes: In the city, in the city

Rook as he looked at Din who nodded, both already knowing what to do: Living in the city

Rick and Rook: In the city, in the city

Rook:Living in the city

Rick: Oh!

Rick's approach, while not stopped, wasn't going to be enough to take him all the way to a win. Din and Rook ran into him enough times to damage his engines, which stopped him from being able to use the boost like how he wanted without destroying the engines. This gave Rook and Din the chance to boost at the end and overtake him for the win. Though what was in front of them wasn't the finish line, it was a portal.

"Hey guys, pick your team members ASAP." Chris said to the Kings.

"What are we racing in next?" Riley asked.

"Not telling you this time." Chris said.

"What? But why?" Riley asked.

"Because I said so. Now if you don't want to lose your advantage, you'll make your picks." Chris said.

"I can give it a try." Dewey said.

"It could be dangerous! Do you not see what just happened here?" Huey D. said.

"We've done other dangerous stuff all the time. I'll be fine." Dewey reassured.

"I know I might regret it but... I'll be second." Huey F. said.

"I'll lend a hand. We can't afford to lose our lead now." Eliza said.

"Head into the portal guys." Chris said. The three ran into the portal.

Young Bennett: In the city

Zak S.: Living in the city

Both cross the finish line, with Zak S. coming in a couple of seconds later and go inside a portal.

Falcon: Living in the city

Despite Zak M. crashing into him multiple times, fully intending to try and take him out of the race, he was unbothered. As Scott and Toxsa continued on ahead in the race and began descending the twist in the Hall of Heroes, Falcon and Zak M. had just reached it.

Zak M.: You know you have to survive

Falcon: Living in the city

"You're not going to finish this race. At least not unscathed." Zak M. said to Falcon, sending him into a wall and damaging his engines even further.

"I never thought I was." Falcon said.

"You can't be this stupid enough to try and boost in here." Zak M. said.

"What's stopping me?"

"I don't know, the several objects in here." Zak M. said as the continued to descend.

"Then you don't know me very well." Falcon said before boosting... backwards?

"What the heck was that?" Zak M. said before laughing, looking backwards and not seeing the statue right in front of him. When he turned, it was too late. He took a decent amount of damage from the hit, but it wasn't enough to put him out of commission. Falcon passed him.

Zak M.(In a tone that showed he was clearly salty about what happened): Oh, oh, oh...

Falcon: Living in the city

Scott: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh...

Toxsa: Living in the city

Hiruma and Falcon: In the city, in the city

Scott and Toxsa: Living in the city

Scott and Toxsa, as they approach the portal: In the city, in the city

Falcon: Living in the city

Zak M, as he tried to force his way through the track, trying to boost but blowing up one of the engines in the process: Living in the city

He jumps out of the podracer as it explodes, throwing down his Fang in frustration.

Falcon, going through the portal: Living in the city

Song Stops

"Stupid pod! Quality my foot. Those parts Watto gave to Chris were terrible!" Zak M. muttered.

"News flash, they actually were really cheap. But it's not the parts' fault he crashed. He just sucked." Chris said to the contestants and the audience.

DJ: "And that's the end of the race! But it looks like things aren't over yet! Eliza, Dewey and Huey Freeman are all off to a head start! With X, Natsu and Blaze well... blazing the way forward for the Rats! The Breakers, with Zak not finishing are on a ten second waiting penalty."

Standings(1/5 Endurance Races Completed)(Score is doubled for footracing and podracing):

1st: Kings: 9

2nd: Breakers: 8

3rd: Rats: 6

"We're still in third Hiruma!" Kurita said as the quarterback returned with his team.

"Times running out. Things aren't looking good." Lucy said.

"We haven't lost yet." Hiruma said.

Nimbus: "Ha, I see what you did there. But you kinda ruined it with the pause. Shoulda kept going."

DJ: "True." He said before looking down at where they were. It looked as if they were in some sort of playset or box. The surface was green and there were several toys and balls scattered across the box. "What's this? Where's the Scan2Go Track?" He said, looking around, confused.

"You're looking at it." Chris said to him through his headset.

"Are you serious!?"

"Yes. Deadly."

DJ: "Alrighty then! It looks like they're in a maze of epic proportions! They'll have to dodge several obstacles as they navigate their way through the box!"

Nimbus: "An obstacle course huh? I like it."

Endurance Race #2: Obstacle Course(Inspired by Scan2Go Episodes 27 and 39)

"It looks like they're shrunk too." Julie said.

"That's because they are. Thanks to Heloise and the resizer ray. Who was also in charge of making the track." Chris said as Heloise waved to the camera.

"Forget that. Who the heck is that with Eliza?" Ben asked.

A black jackal and a white falcon both in ironically reverse colored suits were seen carrying around Eliza in a golden chariot.

"I don't even know if I even wanna ask, but I'm curious anyway." Dewey said to Eliza, who was in a blue go-kart that had the number 3 on it.

"This kid botherin' you?" The jackal asked Eliza.

"We can take care of him if you wish Miss Eliza." The falcon said.

"That won't be necessary. Dewey here is actually a part of my team. Along with Huey." Eliza said as Huey was slightly further back, dodging the rolling and bouncing balls, while driving a go-kart himself. His was red and had the number 77 on it.

"Ah. Alright then. You better not slow her down! Got it?" The jackal said.

"Be nice Horace. He did volunteer after all. I must commend him for his bravery." Eliza said.

"So you volunteered to help out Miss Eliza huh? You got guts. I'm impressed." Horace said.

"Actually, that's not how it-" Dewey started before being interrupted.

"FIRE DRAGON CLAW!" A blazing trail of fire was left behind as Natsu was seen running past Dewey, Eliza and Huey with Blaze running right behind him, choosing to run on foot as well instead of using a vehicle.

"Oh yeah! Blazin' our way to first!" Natsu said to Blaze, not realizing that his flames were actually ruining the playground that was made.

"Great. The pun bug's on him now too." Sendo said.

"Horace! Albus! It's time to put your focus back on the race!" Eliza said.

"Right away!" Albus said as they ran harder.

The ten second penalty expired for the Breakers and they were allowed in. The rest of Team JET was chosen.

"Don't count us out yet!" Fiona said before swiping her Scan Card across Infinite Leopatra. "Scan one!" Infinite Leopatra's power stone turned blue.

"Let's do this Rock Giamoth!" Diego said.

"Scan... two!" Diego and Myron both said simultaneously, swiping their scan cards as both of their machines' power stones changed from blue to red along with Leopatra's.

"GO!" All three said simultaneously. Because of how small the machines already were, there was no need for them to be shrunk.

As Huey and X, who was on a shrunk ride chaser, continued to dodge the balls being rolled at them, turrets were seen emerging from the set and began to shoot a sticky substance at all of them, moreso Natsu and Blaze since they were the closest.

Natsu and Blaze, using their fire abilities, smashed through the turrets with ease.

"That all you got Chris? This is too easy." Natsu said.

Suddenly, an enlarged replica of a dinosaur was seen roaring at them as it dropped down from the ground before Blaze and Natsu.

"You would think after like the hundreds of movies and shows with that TV trope people would stop saying that." Huey D. said.

DJ: "Uh oh! Looks like there's a dinosaur on the track! Will the racers make it? Or will they be history?"

"Horace! Albus!"

Both of her bodyguards put down the chariot, already knowing what to do.

It roared, breathing out fire.

"Fire huh? Just my kinda party." Natsu said, grinning as Horace and Albus charged in to attack it without much of a plan to do so and they were knocked by the T-Rex replica using its head.

"Perhaps come in with a plan next time?" Eliza said before sighing as X and Huey both joined as well. "What a bother. I guess I'll have to get my hands dirty."

"Plan?" Fiona said, smirking.

"Oh we've already got one of those." Diego said, almost smiling as they were spectating their machines race from the beginning of the course.

"Why don't we show them?" Myron said.

"Of course!" Fiona said.

Giamoth, Leopatra, and Slazor all approached the rest of the pack, all using a turbo boost to get there quicker.

"Set me up Diego!" Fiona said.

"With pleasure! Meteor Impact!" Diego called out, creating one rock that was imbued with orange energy. Giamoth uses it's mechanical retractable trunk to hit the rock forward.

"Leopatra! Satellite Owl!" The mechanical owl drone detached from Leopatra before hitting the meteor, now imbuing it with purple energy before passing it to Myron.

"And now for the finish!" Myron said before getting Slazor to spin, now imbuing the rock with blue energy as well. The amount of energy was so much that it became nothing more than a colorful oval-shaped ball of energy.

"TRI-COLOR SPIKE!" All three said simultaneously.

"How's about we join the party huh Blaze?" Natsu said.

Blaze nodded.

Natsu puts his fists together. "I'm not sure why, but something inside me's really burning up. And I think it's time I let it all out on you!"

"FIRE DRAGON BRILLIANT FLAME!"

Blaze combined her Pyrokinesis with Natsu's to make the flames even stronger.

To the dinosaur's credit, it wasn't going to be defeated that easy. It unleashed a powerful fire blast from its mouth as well as the now tri-colored fire blast collided with the dinosaur's mono-colored fire blast. Though the combined power was just too much for the dinosaur to handle and it was turned into ash. Along with the rest of the course behind it.

"All right!" Fiona said.

"Uh question. Now what path do we take?" Myron asked.

"That's a good question." Blaze said.

"Well, it's a good thing we weren't going to reuse this." Heloise said.

"You could have at least made it more durable." Chris said to her over the phone.

"Well excuse me for not accounting for the fact that ALL of them have superpowers!" Heloise said.

"To be fair, he did tell you that beforehand." Chef said.

"It was also on the job listing description on the site as well." Chris said.

"Yeah, I read that part but like... you shouldn't have made this freeform!" Heloise said.

"Well if I didn't it would have favored Team JET way too much. Do you not see what those cars can do?"

Nimbus: "I guess you could say they didn't account for the power of friendship!"

"More like you didn't account for Natsu." Lucy said.

"Huh?" Falcon and others shared his confused look.

"He's powerful, but he's got a knack for destroying things. Even if it's unintentional."

"You took part in some of that destruction too you know." Happy interjected.

"What are you Miyuki? This isn't about me you dumb cat! And don't absolve yourself from this either!"

"Honestly, I don't see how that cat can do much damage." Miyuki said, grinning.

"Happy 1, Lucy 0!" Happy said triumphantly.

"You're just saying that just because I mentioned you! Happy could be a weapon of mass destruction for all you know!"

"For fishes!" Happy said before having a devious face similar to Hiruma's.

"Why do you look like that? Stop! It's even weirder when you do it!"

"So what happens now?" Kise asked.

"Easy! We do this again! On the next race!" Chris said.

"So in other words, it's back to zero as if this race didn't happen." Shiro said.

"Correct!"

A portal opened as they all went through.

Endurance Race #2(Again): Big Blue II(BS F-Zero 2 Grand Prix; This was a Japan-only expansion game for the original SNES game on the also Japan-only Satellaview. As far as I know, I don't even think any part of this was rereleased on the Switch. Not bringing these tracks back for F-Zero 99 was a missed opportunity imo since there's no way to play most of these tracks outside of actually buying the expansion hardware or emulating it)

The nine were seen on a track with similar anti-gravity cars, but were all in different colors.

A monitor appeared before them.

"Welcome to Big Blue! Or should I say, Big Blue tw-"

"Chris! Can't-" Natsu said, unable to move.

"Aw s[censored]!" Sendo said. "That damn motion sickness is gonna screw us over!"

"Chris, you gotta let us sub him out!" Kagami said.

"Nope! Can't do that! He's gotta stay!" Chris said. "If I were to do that, I'd have to give the other teams the options to sub too."

"Can we give something to him to help him?" Adrien asked.

'Yes, but make it quick. You've got a minute."

"Sucy. y-your potions, you've got to have something right?" Morty asked the witch.

"Nope."

"Can't you make something for him?" Akko asked.

"I don't know."

"What do ya mean you don't know!? TRY DAMN IT!" Sendo said.

"I'm serious. I really don't know if I can with what I have here. I'd love to have another guinea pig for my potions, but I don't have anything. It's not like I'm back at Luna Nova. Sorry." Sucy said, shrugging.

"You were gone from the broom race for a while. Why didn't you pick up more stuff before we left?" Falcon asked.

"I did."

"Then why don't you have anything to help him?" Rei asked.

"Because I never thought about it? I didn't think it was going to be that big of an issue since you guys have been okay with it since the first day."

"Well now it is an issue." Rei said.

"Rick, you can do something for him, right?" Morty asked.

"Why?" Rick asked, annoyance in his voice.

"Because he needs our help!" Morty said, up in arms.

"15 seconds!" Chris said.

"Wait, you were counting?" Kagami asked.

"10!"

"Just give them the option to substitute. I don't see why that wouldn't be a reasonable trade-off." Becky B. said.

"Cool! Kings! Breakers! You guys also get the option to sub out one person as well."

"I can trade with someone." Riley said.

"Take my spot." Huey F. said.

"One of you guys are free to take my spot." Diego said.

"I can give it a try." Jenny said.

"But wait, didn't she already race? She can't race again can she?" Huey D. asked.

"She was used as a vehicle. So technically, it wasn't her. I'll allow it." Chris said.

"Morty, you said you were taught how to do pilot ships right? You should give it a try." Lotte suggested.

"W-well-"

"Wait, can't you copy guys? You should be able to copy how to drive these things right?" Adrien asked Kise.

"Uh, yeah, I don't think that's how it works. If it did, I would have way better grades in class." Kise said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Well, that answers that question." Marinette said.

"Just have me or May drive. We have more experience. Even if it's not a one-to-one thing." Becky F. said.

"Yeah. We may not drive like maniacs on an almost daily basis like Rally does, but we can hold our own." May said confidently.

"Do you have to keep bringing that up? Besides, it's not like something I want to do. It's that or be killed." Rally said, annoyed.

"Guys stop!" Morty said, which caused several of his teammates to look at him. "I-I've got the most experience. I piloted the spaceship. Have any of you guys done that? No! So let me do this!" Morty said. "We're running out of options. So we don't have much else to go to."

"He's got a point." Becky F. said.

"Alright. Good luck." Falcon said to Morty, reaching out his fist for Morty to bump, who accepted the offer, even though from his face he was still surprised by it.

"Keep a cool head out there. You do that, I'm sure you'll do fine. Though I'm sure X would tell you the same thing." Zero said.

Sena taps him on the shoulder a couple of times and gives him a thumbs up. With Morty trying to muster up one in return. Though it was pretty weak compared to Sena's.

Hiruma prodded him in the back of his head with one of the batons.

"Don't forget about these." He said before handing him one of them.

"Those same tricks you used before aren't going to work again!" Hinata said to Hiruma.

Hiruma blew a bubble from the gum he was chewing. "No one's playing any tricks small fry."

"Really?" Hinata was genuinely surprised by the quarterback's honesty.

Hiruma then gave him a devilish grin and cackle before going back to his seat.

"Why does he have to make those scary faces?" Hinata said.

"Just ignore him. He's just doing that to try and scare you." Kageyama said.

"Well, it's working."

***Confessional***

Kageyama(Wave Breakers):

"That entire team of his isn't going to be easy to beat. Hiruma and Mamori are crazy, and Kurita and Sena have insane strength and speed respectively. And that's not even counting Monta since we haven't seen him in action yet. You can forget about saying Mamori's the weak link, because she's clearly not."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Hinata(Wave Breakers):

"Man, Kiyoko's never been as scary as her. She might be just as scary as Hiruma."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Morty(Radical Rats):

"Jeez. I don't know why I'm so nervous. Rick and I have done some crazy s[censored] before on our own. So why the heck do I feel like this now? Is it because all these people are counting on just me and not Rick? But that doesn't make any sense. There was the whole thing with the Cromulons. But wait, that was with Rick too. I-I don't know man. I don't know."

***End Confessional***

***Confessional***

Hiruma(Radical Rats):

"There's no better chance than now for him. Now let's see if he can deliver and prove me right about what I see in him."

***End Confessional***

Morty and Natsu, Riley and Huey, and Jenny and Diego switched places, joining the others at the starting line.

DJ: "Welcome to the next part of this endurance race! In this futuristic city, things will be fast and straightforward! So much so, that this race might be over in an instant, so watch your cornering and your jumping!"

Nimbus: "An instant huh? Let's see if any of them can clock under 30 seconds."

DJ: "Ready!?"

"GO!"

F-Zero Snes OST Big Blue Plays

Everyone was off to a good start, including Morty, with him and X's experience(the latter's case at going in very high speeds on his ride chaser) being shown off here.

"Okay, this is definitely not the same as the Go Karts!" Dewey said, struggling to make the first right corner that comes up on the track.

"Don't tucker out on me now." Eliza said, going past him and making a cleaner turn on the corner than he did.

"Tucker out? Are you serious!? That's what you thought I was gonna do? It's literally the first turn of the race!" Dewey said.

"Well, glad to know you're not quitting." Riley said, being first overall out of the three but still behind Jenny, Morty and X respectively, being fourth.

"I never said I was quitting. If anything, this is so bruce!" Dewey said.

"Uh..." Riley started.

"I'm simply just changing up my lingo a bit. Borrowing some material from Randy. That's all." Dewey said.

"Right." The daring sibling said, unsure of what else to say.

"Look, if Morty can fly a spaceship, then I can totally do this! It's just like a video game!" He said before trailing off as he went up a ramp and jumped before landing. "Just with the added fact that we might get seriously injured." He said before sliding out of control and running into the barriers.

Myron, Blaze and Fiona had to steer out of the way to avoid getting hit.

Everyone then had to go through tricky, narrow corners going both left and right.

"You're doing great! Keep it up!" X said to Morty.

"Thanks! I'll try." Morty said. There was another section of the track that had ice which caused Morty and several others to lose control. Only X, Jenny and Myron stayed in control with Myron slowing down to do so.

"You okay Fiona?" Myron asked, going past her.

"Yeah! I'm fine! Just go on ahead!" Fiona said.

On the straightaway ahead, there were portraits above them on monitors on the track, totaling six, two for each team. Though the portraits were constantly changing. X went through a portrait that had the face of Aomine on it. Jenny went through a portrait of Blaineley, Myron went through a portrait of Priya.

"Just gotta stay focused." Morty said before being bumped into by Eliza, which caused him to yell a bit.

"Sorry." Eliza said. Though she didn't have any remorse in running into him one bit.

"COME BACK HERE!" Fiona yelled, hitting him from the side as well. Her reason for being upset was Eliza bumping her and sending her into a wall earlier in the race.

Eliza tried to sideswipe Blaze but she intentionally slowed down, causing Eliza to almost go into a barrier. The Sol Emerald guardian then sped back up, finishing at what was probably a split second difference between her and Eliza. Though it was too close to tell who finished first.

Riley and Dewey were about to pass him as well.

"Come on! Come on!" Morty said as he tried to regain control of his car.

He started to accelerate ahead but accidentally collided with Riley, causing her to almost go into one of the barriers, but sent Dewey careening into one as he was trying to avoid not spinning out. His machine energy however, was getting low.

"Hey!" Riley was not pleased from Morty colliding with her.

"I'm so sorry!" Morty called out.

"Aomine! Blaineley! Priya! Get ready to race guys! Sparrow racing style!" Chris called out.

"Wait, you mean we're racing on birds?" Priya asked.

"You'll find out exactly what I mean, just get out there guys!"

"Wait, now?' Aomine asked, surprised.

"Yes now! What did you think I meant, later!?"

Priya was shot at by Hiurma.

"OKAY! OKAY! I'LL GO! JUST STOP SHOOTING AT ME!"

The shooting also caused Aomine and Blaineley to frantically run as Chris opened the portal, causing Aomine and Blaineley to both miss it and fall out of the bleachers.

"Ouch! What an unfortunate turn of events. Let's hope they can pick themselves up in time to race." Chris said.

"What do you mean hope? This is Hiruma's fault this happened!" Kageyama said.

"Something needs to be done about his guns." Courtney said.

"The only policy I had for him is to not shoot with the intention of killing any of you. Or go too far in destroying my stuff like someone here did to my cottage."

"So gun happy boy here can get off scot-free but I get constantly scolded by you like you're my parent. I see how it is." Duncan said.

"He shot behind them. And since he's not in a challenge, that's not grounds for me to stop him either. That's the difference. He at least seems like he can control himself. But trust me, he crosses that line, he's outta here, no questions asked." Chris said.

After Eliza went through a portrait of Hailey, Fiona went through a portrait of Dawn.

Morty went through a portrait of Midorima.

"The time has arrived." Midorima said before unwrapping his left hand.

"Do you really have to be that dramatic?" Blake asked.

"That's just how he is. You'll get used to it." Kise said.

"I am simply unbandaging the fingers on my left hand. It's that simple." Midorima said.

"But I thought you only do that for basketball, right?" Natsu asked.

"Basketball or not, I won't give these challenges any less than my best. As I said before, I do-"

"Everything humanly possibly to win. Yeah, we got it after the several other times you've said it or said something like that." Tsukishima said.

"Considering you all continue to question my reasoning, it appears you don't."

"Yeah, we question it because it's dumb genius." Duncan said before Midorima put down his pack of carrots and walking away, completely ignoring the juvenile delinquent.

"Hello? Don't got nothin' to say?" Duncan added before waiting for the portal.

"There's nothing more to be said." Midorima said before calling out to Aomine. "Aomine! Get up here now!"

"Don't you think I'm trying to do that? Sheesh." Aomine said as Dewey and Riley also finished.

As they continued to go to the second lap, jumping on the ramp, sending them in the air, a portal appeared as they all flew in.

Endurance Race #3: Sparrow Racing on Death Wind II(F-Zero SNES and Destiny 1)

F-Zero Death Wind Plays

Priya and Dawn were already off to faster starts than they expected. They were riding on thrust bikes that were both red in color.

"How do you control these things!?" Priya yelled as the wind was slowly forcing them to the left.

"I don't know!" Dawn called out.

Nimbus: "Oh heck yeah! Sparrow racing huh? I heard about these."

DJ: "Really? What can you tell us about it?"

Nimbus: "Sparrows are what guardians use for transportation around planets. How do I know? I see 'em riding around in 'em across Neomuna all the time. Heard some talk from a few guardians passing through about there being a Sparrow Racing League years ago. Don't know if it's true but, if so, it seems fun. I don't know why they'd stop doing it."

"Ohhhhh! Those types of sparrows!" Ruby said.

"You know how to ride those?" Sly asked.

"Yeah! Like Nimbus said, guardians use sparrows to travel around faster on planets." Ruby R. said. "Kinda sucks that we don't get to ride those again. You would have gotten to see our awesome sparrow skills."

"Great. Now I kinda wish we had this stuff ready faster." Bren said.

"Why? What are you guys working on?" Weiss asked.

"Communication. If we had it ready here we could have gotten them to talk to them to help out." Cameron said.

"Hey, I meant to say this earlier but, sorry guys. I basically did nothing." Natsu said.

"Nothing? You just burnt a dinosaur and a whole area to a crisp. I ain't gonna let you get away with lying to my face like that man!" Sendo said, grinning. "That's why the next challenge, I'm gonna do even better."

"You're gonna do better than burning a dinosaur?" Kise asked.

"No idiot. I mean..." Sendo said before sighing. "Guess I shoulda worded that better huh?"

"Looking forward to it. But still though, really wish I could do something about this motion sickness." Natsu said.

"Hey, don't worry about it. Besides, that's what we're here for. We help each other out. If one guy's struggling, that's when someone else should step in." Kagami said.

"We'd probably be able to if someone would actually make something to help." Old Bennett said.

"You're such a smart guy, how about instead of me, you do it?" Rick said.

"Because I don't know how to-"

"What? You do know how to what?"

"Fine! Kid, Natsu! Let's go!" Old Bennett said.

"Go where? The race is still going on!" Young Bennett said.

"Anywhere but here!" Old Bennett said.

"No." Young Bennett said.

"No? What do you mean no?"

"I mean... we need to at least wait until the race is over."

Old Bennett sighs. "Fair enough. But when we're done, we need to get started. Cicini, are you with us?"

"I... don't know. I'm not sure if I can really help." Cicini said.

"Something is better than nothing." Old Bennett said before giving Rick a look.

"You said you could do it so why the f[censored] do you need her help?" Rick asked.

"Someone needs to help them." Rei said which caused the three geniuses to look to see what she was talking about.

Although the other four racers were able to catch up, it didn't mean much as they were going way too fast, hitting the sides of the track as if they were pinballs.

"What is this track!?" Blaineley said. It didn't take long until all of the sparrows had fire coming out of them and, not even seconds later, were all destroyed.

DJ: "Death Wind? More like Death Wish! Everyone is out of the race!"

Nimbus: "Didn't see that one coming. At all."

"Sparrows aren't exactly that tough to begin with. And knowing Chris, he probably got the cheapest ones possible." Weiss said.

Standings(No Change)

"Yikes! Everyone! Head on back to the island!" Chris said as a portal opened.

Everyone was brought back to the island, with the nine racers, who were all covered in ash and had their hair messed up in one way another, being brought back by Doyle and Chef.

Unknown Island, Canada

"Okay... didn't expect that to happen. Probably should have went with the idea of actually bringing them to the Tower." Chris said.

"Well, why didn't you?" Yang asked.

"Would have needed permission to race in those areas. And more than likely would have needed to get tougher sparrows. Two things I didn't feel like doing. So I thought, why not stay here and provide them an interesting twist?"

"Some twist that was. That was awful!" Priya said.

"Yeah man, that sucked. I can't even laugh at Midorima for crashing. Because no one was able to get out in one piece." Aomine said.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY!" Midorima said.

"I never said it was you idiot. Didn't you just hear what I said?" Aomine said.

Midorima sighed, putting his lucky item back in his left hand instead of his right.

"Yeah, I know. I get it. It sucked. You don't have to rub it in. Anyways, we've got one more race left. You'll need two from each team. But instead of both team members racing at once, it'll be a tag race. The first will be racing on hoverboards. The second will be running to the finish. And that's it! No flying! No teleporting!" Chris said. "Now then, since you all decided to trade, the guys that were traded in will be racing in the board section. The second member will be someone from the first race that'll be in the footrace! Now pick your members! You've got until the end of this break to make your picks! We'll be right back guys!"

A/N: The next part will include the final race. Who will take the crown? Find out on the next chapter! Also, I have not been on Discord for several days. Not sure if I'll be back anytime this week either so I haven't read any DMs or questions that have been sent my way via the TD Discord server. This means I probably won't be able to see anything asked about this chapter there either. Once I come back, I'll take a look at them.
