Chapter 7 Memories

Several minutes earlier.
Emily was having a good time hanging with the female monsters and getting to know them. She told them how she met Dracula and how she ended up as a guest of the manor. Emily even introduced Maggot and Black Widow to the group and they were delighted to meet them. As they talked the other female monsters took note of Emily's body language whenever Dracula was brought up and they quickly caught on that the undead woman had feelings for Dracula.
"You zinged for Dracula, when you first saw him." Said Eunice.
"Zinged?" Asked Emily.
"Love at first sight." Clarified Wanda.
"Well I Dracula has been nothing, but kind to me and he is rather handsome. He also gave me these clothes I'm wearing." Said Emily.
"That proves it! Dracula loves you!" Said Ginger excitedly.
"Is it ok for different types of monsters to fall in love?" Asked Emily.
"Of course dear." Said Cleopatra.
"Love is love." Said Crystal.
"So what are you going to do now?" Asked Wanda.
"Well, I'm going to tell Dracula how I feel, but first I would like to regain my memories to help tell me who I am first. Elder Gutknecht said he could help me with that." Said Emily.
"Well let's gets to it." Said Eunice.
The monsters quickly got Elder Gutknecht who came in carrying a old suitcase. Elder Gutknecht pulled out a few jars full of various odd ingredients and liquids and began to mix them into a eye dropper and a cup.
"Drink this and put a few drops into your eyes. This should help you get your memories back and see things clearly." Said Elder Gutknecht.
Emily wasn't sure how drinking liquids could affect her since she was undead, but she did it anyway and put in a few eye drops. At first nothing happened, but then Emily's memories of her past life began to flood through her mind clearly and she began to excitedly tell the other monsters.
"I remember! My name...is Emily Merrimack. I...came from a wealthy well educated family. My parents loved me and wanted what was best...for me. One day I met a handsome and charming man named Barkis Bittern. I fell in love with him and wanted to marry him, but my parents didn't approve. Barkis told me we should get married and run away together. He instructed me to get a wedding dress, grab some jewels and valuables for us to live on for a while and meet him in the woods. I did as I was told and when I met Barkis, he came at...me with...a twisted sinister smile...and a knife! HE STABBED ME AND KILLED ME!"
The monsters looked at Emily in shock at such a tragic tale. Emily looked at her friends and then to her horror they all suddenly changed into Barkis!Barkis was a slender man with a large chin, white slick hair, and wore a black cutaway with white collar pushed upside, a bowtie, gray pants and black shoes.
The group of Barkis doubles smiled nastily at Emily as they all held knives. Emily looked at them horrified and let out a scream of terror.
