Batman saw a convoy of police busses going to the south towards the Black Gate prison. Sometimes they were joined by school busses but those was full of arrested policemen as well. Almost fifty five percent of police force was arrested by Evan's supporters. How did it happen Batman could only guess. Probably, Gordon prohibited to fight back after a couple of deadly interactions with supporters merely because those people were still his people and he believed in people of Gotham. So he made a choice to surrender in order to save people. Was it smart choice only time could tell but Batman had to try to save at least Gordon his only ally in this fight.
With the help of Alfred they located the bus where Gordon was making call from. It was one of school buses in the middle of a convoy. They were moving fast without stopping on the intersections. Couple of police cars drove in front of the convoy flashing lights and sirens. People on the streets were bewildered and had no idea what was going on.
Batman's plan was clear and all he needed to do was to get to the driver seat of a school bus. He landed on the roof of the bus quietly but immediately was attacked from the roof window. The driver of a bus behind saw Batman and let the bus ahead know about the intruder. Shots were fired but did no damage to a new Bat suit. Batman moved fast and purposeful toward the roof window knocking down a guard. He got inside the bus cherished by handcuffed policemen.
-Not so fast Bats! - screamed a guard next to the bus driver. He pulled James Gordon from the first seat and hold him on the gun point to his head.
-Let him go. - said Batman. He knew there was one more guard in the end of the bus and he was right behind him at that moment. Turning fast like a big black shadow Batman knocked the guard off his feet and in the same time he shot with a bat razor towards the guy who was holding Gordon. A bat razor flew in inches from Gordon's head and hit his kidnapper straight to a forehead leaving long red line. The guard lost control and shot but Batman was there to pull his arm in different direction so a bullet didn't touch Gordon or any other man. The bus driver turned the wheel sharply to the left and jumped out from the bus leaving it driving into the building. Batman pushed Gordon to the chairs but the bus hit and drove inside an office building crushing glass and columns in the lobby. The hit was so hard and Batman couldn't grab on anything so the wave pushed him through the front window to the lobby wall. The bus stopped and the dust came out filling up the first floor making people panic and run around screaming for their lives.
-Batman! - Gordon run out from the bus to see if the vigilante was safe but Batman wasn't there. He vanished into the dust. Suddenly Gordon felt something in his pocket and took a new Bat phone out. When Batman had a chance to put it in there James couldn't tell but he was glad that Batman did it. There was a message "I will try to save as many busses as I could before they reach the Black Gate. Make a headquarters in the abandoned school on 56th street. Be prepared for the war."
Gordon had a minor injuries but still was in charge and his people listen to him. They safely drove the bus out of the building and made sure all people were taking care of. Batman was right they couldn't come back to their precincts and they had to stick together and hope that Batman would free more of their coworkers. Gordon knew that something similar could happen to the city hospitals if some of employees didn't support Evan and he decided to check on all of them while the rest of his people set up a headquarters at the school.
