Summary: Vee seek some comfort from her mommy after a rough morning.
With a noise, Vee jolted awake due to having a bad dream. She whimpered as she brought her sheets over her nose. Her eyes darted around the room like she was expecting something or someone to come from the shadows to attack her.
She started to relax as her mind became more alert and remembered she was in her new room at the Owl House. The "knocked-down" basilisk was about to lie down and try to go back to sleep when a noise from outside startled her.
With a somewhat cute squeak, Vee jumped out of her bed. She shifted her tail into her legs and bolted out of her room. She stopped in front of her mommy's room and hesitated.
Part of her didn't want to disturb her mom. And Vee was a big girl, after all. So she should be able to handle a bed dream. She was about to return to her room when she heard the noise again and didn't even think twice about running into her mother's room.
A few seconds later, the source of the noise revealed itself. Lilith walked back to her room, holding her stomach.
"That's the last time I let Edalyn talk me into trying her super-extra spicy curry," the historian said and let out a loud moan as she felt her stomach painful churn. "I hope my dear friend's pumping can handle my explosive diarrhea for the next few hours?"

Camila was somewhat awake when she heard her door open. She didn't need to open her eyes to see who it was, but she cracked open one eye nonetheless.
She watched as Vee hesitantly stepped into her room and glanced at the human. Vee's nightmare Whenever Vee had one, she would venture to Camila's room. Normally, Vee would stand at Camila's door for a few seconds and then leave.
However, Vee's current childish emotions were making her scared enough that she cautiously stepped into the room and slowly went over to Camila's bed.
The human put on a small smile and pretended to be asleep.
Vee fidgeted with her fingers as she looked up at her mommy. She was starting to have second thoughts about this. Her nerves quickly got the best of her, and she was about to leave when she felt a pair of arms gently grab her.
She let out a cute 'eep' as she was lifted into the air. Camila smiled as she gently set Vee into her bed and pulled the covers over her head.
"Bad dream, dear?" the human asked softly.
Vee, feeling suddenly timid, nodded. Camila smiled a little more as she hugged her daughter gently. Vee almost immediately relaxed once in her mother's arms, and her leg turned back into her tail.
Camila adjusted her position slightly when Vee wrapped her tail around the human's waist. She softly stroked the basilisk's head and hummed a song in Spanish. It wasn't long before Vee had fallen asleep and sucking her thumb.
Camila couldn't help but gush at the sight. A part of her wished someone in her new family would come in so she could get a picture; this would have been the perfect scene to start her own baby book.
Instead, she let out a content sigh and settled in for a few minutes of extra sleep.
"Don't worry, my little hatchling," Camila whispered softly in Vee's ear. "Big or small, you can always come to me."
"Luve you, Mommy," Vee muttered around her thumb, and Camila giggled.

Nothing like some cuteness in the early morning, right?
