Chapter 34: Helping Hand
Phenex Mansion…
"… So… that is how I got my first contract…" Naruto finished explaining to Ravel, who was holding in her laughter as she held up some of the pajamas he brought back. "I'll be visiting her at the end of the month to help her…"
They were in Ravel's room, talking privately with Onimaru and Loona on the bed with them, Loona specifically laying across Naruto's lap.
"I… I see." Ravel stated, trying not to laugh at him.
Naruto deadpanned.
"Well, I am happy that you aren't just laughing in my face…" He mumbled, rubbing Loona's body gently.
Loona snuggled further with him.
"I am sorry." Ravel apologized. "How about I wear this," Holding up the pajamas. "To make up for it?"
Naruto's cheeks tinted red, immediately averting Ravel's eyes.
"Sure, but let me…"
Ravel got off of the bed, turning her back to Naruto as her skirt hitting the ground, leaving her upper school uniform on with her leggings, showing off her panty clad butt to Naruto as she continued by taking off her sweater vest before starting to unbutton her shirt.
Naruto's face exploded into a red hue as Ravel removed her sweater vest, which hit the floor as she started to unbutton her skirt.
"R-R-Ravel!" Naruto called out, making her turn her head to face him slightly, revealing her face was red. "Why…"
"You bathe with Koneko…" She stated, fully turning, her shirt buttoned enough to not show anything. "So why are you so embarrassed about seeing me naked?"
Naruto's eyes were drawn to her navel, her bellybutton was exposed.
His eyes wandered up, seeing the edge of Ravel's bra.
Ravel could follow his gaze, feeling her body temperature go up.
Unlike Koneko who was wearing a training bra, Ravel was wearing an actual bra due to her breasts being more developed.
"T-that's different…" Naruto weakly replied, trying to get off the bed, but Loona kept him from moving by repositioning herself to stay on his lap.
"Well, if you aren't objecting!" Ravel said as she quickly unbuttoned the rest of her shirt.
Now in just her underwear and leggings, Ravel stood before Naruto.
Her bra was a pale baby blue with a small ruffled look on the lining while she had the same-colored panties, with darker blue hearts scattered around them. The small green jade necklace Naruto bought her for her birthday on her chest.
'No response?' Ravel thought, looking at Naruto's crotch.
Oh, no, quite the opposite.
Ravel bit her lip when she saw his clothed erection.

"Loona, Pin!"
Naruto jumped off the bed… only for Loona to pounce him, making him hit the ground, unable to move.
"Loona… Let… me go…" Naruto struggled to break the hellhounds grip.
Loona ignored him, her head on top of his, between his fox ears.
Ravel turned, cupping her face, feeling her warmth.

Steam emitted from her ears.
Ravel gasped when two hands grabbed her breasts from behind.
"NARUTO!" Ravel screamed in surprise from his sudden forwardness.

Ravel deadpanned, turning her head to see a large smirk on Minami's face.
"Minami?" Ravel yelled, pulling out of the wife of her Bishop's grasp, grabbing a blanket to cover herself. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?"
"I came here to grab your laundry." Minami said with a sly smirk. "But imagine my surprise that the Young Lady Phenex was being SO bold with the Pawn of a different peerage."
Ravel blushed further, glancing at Naruto, seeing he had been knocked out by Minami.
"GET OUT!" Ravel screamed, stomping her foot.
Minami smirked and left, dragging the unconscious Naruto out of the room to his own room.
Ravel collapsed to her knees.
'Damn it…' She thought, shuddering in embarrassment from her own audacity and Minami's.
However, the sensation she got from taking this chance… felt unbelievable incredible.
Next Morning…
Naruto rubbed his neck.
"Something wrong?" Vulcan asked Naruto as they ate breakfast with the rest of the Phenex Peerage.
"I feel like I may have slept wrong." Naruto said unsurely. "I remember… I was…"
Ravel, who was sitting at the head of the table, flinched as she started to sweat, Minami (Who was serving breakfast) couldn't help but smile.
"I can't remember…" He said with a defeated look, ears flat on his head.
"Well, you know the saying," Sai said with a laugh, patting the kitsune's shoulder. "'If you can't remember, then it wasn't that important.'"
"I guess." Naruto replied as Ravel sighed in relief as they finished breakfast and got ready for school.
Three Weeks Later…
Many things happened during the three weeks.
Sona became the President of the Student Council in a Landslide victory.
The Occult Research Club and Yokai Observation Clubs officially started with perfect covers for them, thanks to Sona.
Currently…
Koneko punched at Naruto's head.
'Kami-e.' Naruto thought, evading Koneko's devastating attack by contorting himself like paper.
"Damn it!" Koneko screamed, vanishing from Naruto's view with Soru.
Naruto turned, wincing as Koneko's leg struck his shoulder, lifting him up from the ground.
"I win." Koneko said as she punched Naruto's stomach… only for her hand to ring in pain.
"Tekkai…" Naruto gasped as he moved a few feet away, out of breath.
Koneko held her hand, which was stinging.
"So, am I ready for the next Power?" Koneko asked as Naruto sat down.
They had been training since school ended, and Naruto nodded.
"Yeah, you have a basic mastery of Soru." Naruto replied, leaning on his arms.
"What was the one you used to evade my attack?" Koneko asked, sitting next to him, leaning into him.
"Kami-e…"
"Teach me that one next." Koneko said as she looked at him, an irritated face. "I am tired of my clothes getting destroyed."
"Wait, what?" Naruto asked as he heard the backdoor open, Loona jumping him, licking his face.
"When the peerage and I fight a stray…" Koneko said, putting her hands on Loona's body, petting her. "My clothes are getting torn so easily."
Naruto pondered a thought.
"Hey, what are your three sizes?" Naruto asked Koneko.
Koneko's pale cheeks tinted pink.
"W-why do you want to know?" She timidly asked, hiding her face behind Loona.
"I want to get you some sturdy clothing." Naruto told her with a big smile. "And I know exactly where I am going to get them."
Few Minutes Later, Kamabakka Queendom…
"B: 67 Cm – W: 22 Cm – H: 73." The tailor, Madam Henley, said as Naruto was with Iva and Inazuma.
"Yes, that is what Koneko wrote." Naruto said, tapping the paper Koneko gave him.
"Well, she is quite small for her age." The tailor said, shifting her glasses.
Madam Henley was the best seamstress in the Queendom, thus Iva brought Naruto to her.
"Anyway, what kind of clothing are you looking for your friend?" Madam Henley said as she pulled out fresh paper for sketching.
"I want her to have sturdy battle kimono like clothing." Naruto explained. "Koneko has been getting her school clothing destroyed to easily, and it is expensive clothing."
Madam Henley nodded, drawing up a quick sketch.
"This this?" She asked, handing Naruto the paper as Iva and Inazuma looked through the fabric options, knowing what Naruto wanted.
"No, like… this." Naruto said as he took the pencil and made a few adjustments.
"Hm…" Madam Henley said, cupping her cheek. "I'll have to take a few liberties, but I can make this."
"Yes." Naruto fist pumped.
"Now, just what kind of material?" Henley asked, making Naruto go still.
"Material?"
"Yes, what resistances do you want?" She asked the young kitsune.
"Uh…"
"Naruto." Inazuma said, beckoning the child over to her.
Naruto walked over to her, seeing that she was holding a square of material.
"This is Fabric of the Fire Rat." Inazuma said as she drank some wine.
"Fire Rat?" Naruto said in disgust.
Iva scoffed.
"The Fire Rat is a Japanese yokai whose fur is elementally resistant and self-healing to small damage." Iva explained, putting his hand on Naruto's shoulder. "It would be the perfect choice."
"Hm…"
"Oh, you like that fabric?" Henley asked as she took notice. "It is probably the best…"
"I'll take it." Naruto interrupted.
"But it is expens…"
"I'll take it." Naruto repeated, not worried about the cost.
If it was for Koneko, Naruto would travel the world for her.
"Alright, now, color."
"I want it white…"
"No." Inazuma interrupted, looking at Henley. "Make it red."
"Inazuma?"
"Naruto, Koneko works for Rias Gremory, right?" Inazuma asked him.
"Yes."
"Then it would make sense of her clothing is red."
"Yes."
"Well, then I'll make it red, with a little bit of white and black?" Henley asked, getting a node from Naruto.
"Can you also add the Gremory symbol on the chest?" Iva asked, wanting to go the extra mile.
"Of course." Henley replied, walking to the register, punching in numbers and taking into the fabric amount cost. "Alright, that will cost…"
Hour Later, Phenex Mansion…
"… YOU SPENT OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!" Sairaorg and Kuisha screamed over the phone.
"Let me explain." Naruto said with a shudder, his ears ringing.
Sai laughed at Naruto being scolded, Ravel tried to help mitigate the damage (Getting scolded along with him), Vulcan pouted since she felt like she could have made the clothing instead, Danjuro and Minami just relaxed as they played Go-Fish while drinking tea.
Kuroka, meanwhile, lay on the couch.
All was normal for the Phenex Mansion.
Three Days Later…
"Naruto, I want you to accompany my next stray devil hunt." Sona asked Naruto on their lunch.
"Uh… why?" Naruto asked, looking at Sona with a quirked eyebrow.
Sona smiled.
"I have acquired three new peerage members." She said proudly, eyes shining. "A Knight, a Bishop, and a Rook."
"Good for you, Sona." Naruto replied respectfully. "But why do you need me?"
He took a bite of his sandwich.
"Well," Sona said, shifting nervously. "I don't have a Pawn."
"Okay…"
"And since you are experienced, I would like you to show off the benefits of each piece?" Sona asked politely.
"No…"
"I'll compensate you for your time."
"No, I have plenty of free time." Naruto said with a forced smile and a thumbs up. "Just need to talk to Ravel, she has the Substitute Acknowledgement Card Sairaorg gave her, that way I can promote."
Naruto finished his sandwich, grabbing his garbage.
"Let me meet your Peerage so I can introduce myself now…"
Few Minutes Later, Student Council Room…
"Everyone, this is Naruto, and he will accompany us tonight for our hunt." Sona explained to her new peerage members.
All three of them gasped.
Tomoe Meguri as a Knight.
Tsubasa Yura was a Rook.
Reya Kusaka was a Bishop.
With Sona as King and Tsubaki as Queen, the Sitri Peerage was at a total of five.
"OH MY GOD, THE MASCOT OF THE SCHOOL IS A DEVIL!" Reya shouted in shock.
"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! HE IS TOO TIMID!" Tomoe shouted.
"But… he has the impression of someone you want to protect." Tsubasa whimpered.
Naruto turned to Sona with a deadpan.
"These three…" He asked with utter confusion. "They don't even have any skills…"
"Excuse me…" Tomoe scoffed. "I am a member of the Kendo Club, I have skill with a sword."
"Wow, me too." Naruto said with sarcasm, eyes wide, smile big, and a unnerving head tilt. "Ever use a real blade to cut a head off?"
"Uhm… no…"
"You're green." Naruto sighed, turning to Tsubasa.
"I am a member of the Boxing Club, female division." She said, having calmed down.
"I am a Martial Artist as well." Naruto said, dropping his sarcasm, since Tsubasa didn't need it, being humble.
"Uhm… I am a bishop, so I guess magic is my… 'thing'." Reya said with air quotes. "I am new…"
"I don't use magic, but I understand." Naruto said sympathetically. "But don't worry, you'll be trained well. I know Sona is good at magic."
Sona smiled.
'They seem to be getting along well.' She thought before clapping her hands to get their attention. "Alright, everyone. Let me explain tonight's hunt."
The Sitri Peerage and Naruto turned, ready to listen.
"Our target is Fiona." Sona said as she took a proper standing position. "She recently fled from her King, becoming a mutated stray. She has murdered four males in the last two weeks, we shall stop her by taking her life."
"Wait, you want us…" Tsubasa pointed to herself, Reya, and Tomoe. "To kill a monster?"
"No, Naruto will…" Sona said, pointing at Naruto, who put his hand on his hip, smirking. "He is a Pawn, and will demonstrate the skills of a Knight, Bishop, and Rook. He is pretty diverse, from swords to martial arts to jutsu."
"Jutsu… you mean magic?" Reya asked, Tomoe and Tsubasa nodding.
"Nope, I am a kitsune." Naruto said as his ears and tail popped into being, his whisker marks too.
Sona wished she had her phone ready to record the immediate action her peerage took…
Jumping Naruto to touch his tail and ears.
"SO CUTE!"
Evening…
'I don't like being called cute.' Naruto mentally grumbled as he followed Sona, Tsubaki, Tomoe, Tsubasa, and Reya.
He was a Rokushiki master, a swordsman, and a basic jutsu user.
He wasn't a cute kid.
The three new peerage members were not fully equipped for a hunt.
Tomoe using one of Naruto's spare Shirasaya blades for protection.
Tsubasa had MMA gloves on her hands, as a Rook her defenses were highest.
Reya sadly was not ready period. But the experience of watching a fight will help.
Sona stopped as they approached an old warehouse.
"We are here." She said, preparing herself. "All of you, be prepared to watch."
"Yes, Sona." Tomoe, Tsubasa, and Reya said in unison as Naruto entered the building first.
"First, the Pawn." Sona said as Naruto looked up, seeing the stray devil: Fiona.
Fiona was a female, whose body was bare and very sexual, but the rest of her was a Lovecraftian eldritch beast.
"The Pawn can promote…" Sona said as she held up the borrowed Substitute Acknowledgement Card. "Naruto…"
"Promotion: Knight…" Naruto said as he vanished with Soru, getting to the ceiling with Geppo.
"The Knight is fast, enhanced speed." Sona stated as Naruto appeared before Fiona.
"Shigan: Madara!" Naruto stated, his arms rapid firing Shigan's.
Fiona howled in pain as two dozen puncture wounds entered its torso.
"Promotion: Rook/DIE!"
"The Rook: is a tank that can power through all attacks, dealing the heaviest damage." Sona continued as Naruto braced himself, taking the hit, but only suffering bruises instead of slash marks.
"Promotion: Bishop!" Naruto announced, crossing his fingers, summoning forty clones.
"Bishops get a great boost in magic." Sona continued as the clones ran around Fiona.
Swiping wildly, a few clones were popped, but several Rankyaku blades struck her.
Deep gashes etched into her flesh.
"ENOUGH!" she screamed, expelling enough magic to hit the clones away, popping them.
"Well, then I guess I get to be serious." Naruto said, smiling as he entered hybrid form.
Now, at age 13, he stood at eight feet two inches tall in his hybrid form.
"What!" the girls screamed, shocked their cute junior was a tall, muscled badass.
"That is Naruto's battle form." Sona explained. "It has nothing to do with the Peerage system.
Naruto jumped into the air, jumping on air.
'Geppo!' Naruto thought as he avoided the swipes.
The stray crawled along the ceiling like a spider, desperately trying to escape or get an advantage.
She looked at the peerage, smirking.
She laughed manically, jumping toward them to get a hostage.
"MIRROR ALICE!" Tsubaki shouted, jumping forward, swinging her arms outward.
A magic mirror creation appeared before her, being struck by Fiona.
The attack was absorbed, then magic blasted into the Fiona's body.
"That was my power, Mirror Alice." Tsubaki explained, turning toward the new devils.
Tomoe, Tsubasa, and Reya nodded as Fiona hit the wall before collapsing to the ground.
"AHA, got you!" Naruto shouted, jumping the Fiona's humanoid body, grabbing her, pinning her.
"Well done, Naruto." Sona praised, a genuine smile. "Now, this is…" Her glasses reflected the light. "Checkmate."
A thin wire of water whipped through the air, decapitating the stray in Naruto's grapple.
The body disintegrated allowing Naruto to return to normal.
"Well, that was fun, we should do this again?" Naruto asked Sona.
"Yes, I think that will be fun." Sona said, shaking Naruto's hand, handing over the Substitute Acknowledgement Card with a small envelope of cash, for his time.
"Hope to work with you soon, Sona." Naruto said sincerely. "Although, next time, lets work more as a team."
"Wait," Tomoe said as she handed him his shirayasa. "Your sword…"
"You can keep it, I can get another one." Naruto said before he bid the Sitri peerage farewell.
"Now," Sona said as Naruto vanished via Soru, facing Tomoe, Tsubasa and Reya. "Any questions?"
Phenex Mansion…
"Naruto." Vulcan said with enthusiasm as the kitsune returned home. "Mail came in, a package and a letter came in with your name."
Naruto smiled in excitement.
'Please let it be what I hope it is.' He hoped as he ran upstairs to his bedroom.
He entered, seeing Kurotama on his bed look up at him.
Turning to his desk, Naruto saw the package and letter.
Putting the letter aside, Naruto opened the package carefully.
"Yes, thank you Madam Henley." Naruto verbally said to no one as he saw the outfit he commissioned.
Folding them back into the box, Naruto turned to the letter, picking it up.
Breaking the seal, Naruto opened the letter.
After unfurling it, he read it.
His face slowly curled into confusion.
"The Supernova Challenges?" Naruto said aloud in confusion.
