Jacob's Victory?
Summary: While waiting to see a movie with their daughters, the Familia is confronted by a certain human.
Timeline: three months and two days had passed since the Day of Unity was stopped.
The Clawthorne sisters couldn't help but smile as they waited in line to see the new Good Witch move. Both of their kids were jumping in place with huge smiles on their faces.
"A smile truly does suit my sweet Flea," Lilith said warmly.
Eda simply nodded and looked at her daughter, thinking nothing could ruin the moment.
"I have you now, you vile creatures!"
Everyone in the area let out audible groans as Jacob appeared and stormed up to the Familia members. Lilith frowned as she noticed the pet cage the human was carrying and everything he was wearing.
"What do you want?" Eda asked dully.
Jacob grinned as he placed the cage on the ground and took out two potion vials.
"Just to vanquish you from my town and remove your taint!" the human proclaimed boldly.
He opened the vial with the blue potion and threw it at the Familia. The potion turned into a thick mist and covered the four witches.
The mist quickly cleaned, leaving the human who watched the entire thing confused. The Owl Familia, however, looked a little concerned as they looked over their bodies.
"Really, a scent-tracking potion," Eda quipped, underwhelmed. "You need to learn your stuff better, Jacie."
Jacob smiled as he bent down and removed the lemming from the cage. He then took out another potion, one with a green tint, and opened it. The Owl Familia gasped as they recognized what that potion was.
"Mister Hopkins, stop!" Lilith cried out urgently. "That potion isn't meant to be used on living creatures.
The historian rushed to stop the human, but was too late. Jacob had pooled the entire potion on the lemming.
The crowd watched as the effects of the potion immediately took hold. The lemming shook slightly as pink appeared in its fur and began to grow. Razor's sharp claws grew from the lemming paws, and it sneered, showing its now sharpened teeth.
Once the creature reached six times its normal size, fluff balls popped out of the lemming's fur and quickly grew into copies of the mutated creatures.
The mutated lemmings, now totaling ten, sniffed the air and sneered as they locked their eyes on the Owl Familia. Without warning, the creatures charged, heading straight toward Lilith.
"Lily! Look out!" Eda screamed as she pushed the shocked historian out of the way.
The lemming mutants bowled right into the ex-wild witch, and her body parts went flying. Lilith acted quickly and took out a plant glyph. She used it to tie up as many of her sister's parts as she could and then turned her daughter and niece.
"Amity! Luz! Those creatures will follow the scent potion Mister Hopkin used on us. Head to the portal and try to avoid any busy streets, both here and in Bonesborough!" Lilith instructed.
The human and witch nodded and called their staffs to them. Lilith took Soaring from her sister's hair, and he quickly went into staff mode. Together, the family flew in the direction of Gravesfield's portal.
Jacob was grinning in triumph as he looked over the area. His grin grew as he found a prize worthy of victory… Eda's severed jaw.
He walked over to it and picked it up, oblivious to the glares he was getting from both humans and witches. He began tying the jaw with some rope he had on him as he quickly followed after the witches to ensure his final victory.

"So, after your little detour here, you manage to trick the earth creatures into a spot near the boiling sea?" Jane inquired.
Lilith nodded as she bandaged the small cuts the lemming gave her.
"Yes. I figured the smell from the seas would interfere with the creatures' sense of smell. Also, the heat from the seas should disorient them long enough that we could get a counter potion to them."
Jane nodded and looked around at her son's friends. None were worse for wear; Amity and Luz were helping put Eda back together. The historian frowned as she looked at Masha.
The "knocked-down" non-binary was looking at the floor, their face red with shame. They were also refusing to look anything in the eyes, even their girlfriend. Jane smiled softly and went over to comfort the human.
"So," Eda said, getting beside her sister. "Since movie day is ruined, what now?"
"Edalyn, there are different showings," Lilith said calmly and glared scoldingly at her sister. "And while it may have prevented injuries, I told you to leave Owda at home. What were you planning on doing?"
"Oh, you know," Eda replied with a cheeky grin, "Just getting discounts on snacks for the kids."
Lilith simply shook her head but let her sister have this one. She then went over to the children and began making plans as they waited for Camila to return.

And that, Witches and demons, is how Jacob got a (temporarily) victory over the Owl Familia. Now that we're done with the "reveal" arc, we're moving on to some Boscha-centric stories. Look forward to it!
