Facing Erika part 3
at the loud house,
the Casagrande's were driving home waving goodbye to the louds.
"I can't wait to see links battle tomorrow," Lana said.
"Everyone, I have something to say," lucy said making everyone look at her." I'm the reason bad things were happening to you all."
the family minus Lisa gasp," wait, you did what, how?!" Lynn asked.
"I used great grandma Harriet's spell book to cause a karma curse and used it on the ones who hadn't made amends to Lincoln," Lucy replied." the only one who knows about it."
"Lisa, you knew?" Lori asked.
"Yes, and I kept it secret because we both knew you guys would come to your senses," Lisa replied.
Lori, Luna, Luan, Lynn, and Lola looked at each other," we understand," Lori said." we're glad you did this Lucy, we all realized that we've been selfish, self-centered, brats, mostly me, Lynn, and Lola, this was a true wake up call for us."
"It also explains why flip was suddenly arrested," Lana said.
suddenly Luan's phone started ringing," hello," Luan said.
"Hello Luan, it's me Fanny," Fanny replied.
"Oh hey, what's up?" Luan asked.
"Well, after some thinking, I decided to give you another chance and let you shop at my store," Franny replied.
"r-really, thank you, thank you," Luan said.
"No problem, but you have to promise to never go overboard with your pranks on April fools from now on," Franny said." because if you do, you'll be band forever."
"I understand, thank you," Luan said as she hangs up.
"what's up sis?" Luna asked.
"Franny called and she's letting me shop at her store, but I have to promise to not go overboard on my pranks during April fools from now on," Luan replied.
"I say you can kiddo," Lynn sr. said." it'll help you learn self-control."
suddenly the house phone rings and Rita answers it," hello, uh-huh, uh-huh, ok thank you," she said as she hangs up the phone.
"what's going on?" Lola asked.
"Well sweety, the pageant studio called, and they'll let you back in the pageants, but you'll be watched if you try to blackmail, cheat, or sabotage the other contestants, then you'll be out of the pageants forever," Rita replied." also that awful male judge was Bann from judging pageants and is in jail for kicking you."
"Really, I'm so happy," Lola squealed." and I promise I'll be good from now on."
"Good, welp, we might as well get to bed," Rita said." we gotta be prepared for Lincoln's battle tomorrow."
everyone goes upstairs and get ready for bed.
In celadon city, Pokémon center,
Ronnie Anne was getting her Pokémon healed up, while Lincoln was choosing which Pokémon to use for tomorrow with Clyde, Bobby, and brock's help.
"Well little bro, you can use firestorm because he's a fire type," Bobby said.
"True, but we can't underestimate Erika," Clyde said.
"he's right, Erika's probably prepared for a fire type," brock said.
"Every gym leader is prepared for type disadvantage," misty said as she and Ronnie Anne walks over to them.
"Good point, but the man with the plan always has a plan," Lincoln said.
"Well, if you're prepared," misty said.
"Please, this is Lincoln, he's always prepared," Clyde said.
"Right so I'll take my Pokémon and train them for tomorrow," Lincoln said, as he takes his chosen Pokémon out to train.
at a training field,
ok, let's get started," Lincoln said as he releases his Pokémon to train." you guys ready for this?"
celadon city gym, next day,
the group re-enters the gym where Erika was waiting," I see that you're ready," Erika said.
"Yes, I am," Lincoln responded.
back at the loud house,
the louds and the Casagrande's are ready to see the battle, Lisa also invited Lincoln's friends to see the battle and promise to show Ronnie Anne's battle.
"So, that's the gym leader, talk about hot," rusty said, until Polly was giving him a look." but not as hot as you are Polly."
Polly gives him a side hug, as everyone looks at the screen." I wonder what Pokémon he'll use," Stella wondered.
"I'm more curious about the gym leaders Pokémon," Liam said as Lynn sr. and rosa brought out snacks.
at the gym,
"The battle between Erika and Lincoln will now begin," the female referee said.
"roseraid, you're up," Erika said as she sends out a Pokémon with blue and red roses on its hands.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?" Ronnie Anne thought as she was holding togepi, and pulled out her pokedex.
"roseraid, the bouquet Pokémon, a grass type, the poison in its right hand is quick acting. the poison in its left hand is slow acting. both are life threatening," the pokedex explained.
"Wow, that Pokémon would be a perfect partner for my dad, since he loves to garden," Clyde said.
"True, but I know link has a plan," Ronnie Anne said." right togepi?"
togepi giggled at the thought.
back at the loud house,
"Somehow I can see that Pokémon as your partner honey," Lynn sr. said.
"I agree," Rita said." like with bruteroot it would be helpful in the garden."
"It can play the flower girl at a wedding," Lola said.
back at the gym,
"you're up, go Andrea!" Lincoln said as he sends out sandslash.
"Alright, I'm good to go," Andrea said.
at the loud house,
"Alright, he's using Andrea!" Lana cheered.
"We get to see her battle, awesome," Liam said.
back at the gym,
"roseraid, use petal dance," Erika said.
roseraid fires a wind of pink petals at Andrea," use did to dodge it!" Lincoln said.
Andrea digs underground and dodges the attack.
"Now use metal claw," Lincoln said.
Andrea rises up under roseraid hitting it with her glowing claw, causing damage not noticing that roseraid touched her side.
"Nice work Andrea," Lincoln said until he noticed purple bubble coming from her body. "Andrea, what's wrong?"
"hahahaha, you forget roseraid's poisons," Erika replied as she laughs.
back at the loud house,
"Man, I didn't see that coming," Lynn said.
"Why poison?" Leni asked.
"Because, it'll cause damage during battle giving the opponent the advantage," Lisa replied, leaving Leni confused.
"It means, Andrea will keep losing her energy as she fights," Lynn said.
"Oh," Leni said.
back at the gym,
"Ok, I'll switch you out," Lincoln said.
"No, I can keep going, no poison is gonna hold me back," Andrea said.
"Use grassknot!" Erika said.
roseraid, uses grassknot trapping Andrea.
"can't...get...lose, Andrea said as she struggles to escape.
"Time to end this, use drain punch," Erika said.
roseraid's hands started glowing green and started punching Andrea over and over.
back at the loud house,
"Crud, links in a real jam now," Lynn said.
"Looks like Andrea's been grounded," Luan laughed." but seriously, she's in real trouble.
"Come on bro, think of something," Lana said.
"Come Andrea, you got this," Liam said.
"she's really clever," Stella said.
back at the gym,
roseraid continues to use drain punch on Andrea, until Lincoln thought of something," Andrea use magnitude!" Lincoln said.
Andrea uses magnitude to not only break free but send roseraid flying causing damage," now use rollout," Lincoln said.
Andrea uses rollout at full speed, jumping in the air and hitting roseraid sending it to the floor knocked out.
"roseraid is unable to battle, the winner is sandslash," the female referee said, as Erika recalled roseraid.
back at the loud house,
"Alright, Andrea won!" Lana cheered.
"Yeah, but I don't think linky will use her in the next battle," Lola said.
"I agree with Lola, never thought I say that," girl Jordan said." besides, Andrea is still poisoned.
"And link doesn't want to push her to hard," Margo added.
back at the gym,
"Come out, shiftry," Erika said as she sends out a Pokémon with leaf fans on its hands.
"what's that?" Bobby asked pulling out his pokedex.
"shiftry, the wicked Pokémon, a grass and dark type, it lives quietly in the deep forest, it's said to create chilly winter winds with the fans it holds," the pokedex explained.
"It looks like a shogun warrior," Bobby said.
"I'll say," Ronnie Anne said." I wonder what he'll use."
"riolu, come on out," Lincoln said, sending out riolu.
back at the loud house,
"Can riolu beat that thing?" Lola asked." it looks tough."
"of course, with the training I help gave him," Lynn replied.
"let's hope sweety," Rita said.
back at the gym,
"riolu, use quick attack," Lincoln said.
riolu ran fast at shiftry, but it suddenly disappears like a ninja.
"What the heck?!" riolu yelled.
"How?" Lincoln questioned.
"Shiftry, knows its way around and can be a fast as a ninja," Erika replied." let me show you, Shiftry, use leaf blade and Shadow claw!"
Shiftry's fans started to glow with the left one glowing green and the right one glowing black, it jumps through the bushes and trees and hits riolu multiple times.
"riolu!" Lincoln yelled.
back at the loud house,
everyone is in shock at the scene," how can anyone beat that," Luan asked.
"I don't know, but if Lincoln doesn't think of something, riolu will fall," CJ replied.
"Come on riolu, don't give up, remember your training" Lynn muttered as she remembers helping riolu train for a week with a montage of hitting her punching bag, running laps, and helping her meditate to let go of her pride." you got this.
back at the gym,
'How do you beat something that's like a ninja?' Lincoln thought.
'I know, it's crazy,' riolu thought.
'Wait, did I just hear his thoughts?' Lincoln thought then gets an idea.
'riolu, try to sense it aura,' Lincoln thought.
riolu heard Lincoln and closed his eyes and started to slowly sense where Shiftry is. after a minute Shiftry comes from behind and was about to use leaf blade, until riolu started glowing resulting to evolve and caught the attack.
riolu's new appearance made him taller, spikes coming out of his paws and one in his chest," whoa you evolved!" Lincoln said pulling out dexter.
"Lucario, the aura pokemon, a fighting and steel type, and the evolved form of riolu, it can tell what people are thinking, only trainers who have justice in their hearts can earn this pokemon's trust.
back at the loud house,
"Awesome, riolu evolved!" Lynn said.
"Talk about perfect timing," Carlota said." I wonder what Lincoln told him?"
"Maybe he'll tells us later," Carl replied.
Back at the gym,
Lucario slams Shiftry to the ground for a bit then tossed it to Erika's side of the field leaving her shocked.
"No way," Erika said." use shadow claw!"
"Counter with bone club!" Lincoln said.
Shiftry's fan hands glow green while Lucario creates a long glowing bone, the two clash with each other blow after blow, sending each other back to their trainers.
"Use energy ball!" Erika said.
"Use aura sphere!" Lincoln said.
the Pokémon ran towards each other with Shiftry's energy ball in one hand, while Lucario's aura sphere is in his hand. the two clashed leaving a big explosion, leaving nothing but smoke. as the smoke clears, we see the two Pokémon exhausted, until they both fainted.
"Both Pokémon are unable to battle, thus leaving it a tie," the female referee said, as Erika recalls Shiftry and Lincoln recalls Lucario.
"You did great Lucario, both you and Andrea, I better thank Lynn and Lana," Lincoln said.
back at the loud house,
"Alright, riolu won!" Lynn cheered." downside it ended in a tie."
"True, but Erika has only one Pokémon left," Lisa said.
"Lisa's got a point LJ," Lynn sr. said.
"Oh yeah," Lynn said.
"I can bet which Pokémon Lincoln will use," Margo said.
back at the gym,
"Vileplume, you're up," Erika said sending out a Pokémon with a big flower on its head.
"what's this one?" Clyde wondered pulling out his pokedex.
"Vileplume, the flower Pokémon and the final form of oddish, a grass and poison type, the larger its petals, the more toxic pollen it contains, its big head is heavy and hard to hold up," the pokedex explained.
"Sheesh, how can it stay balanced?" Bobby asked.
"No idea," Clyde replied.
at the loud house,
"Talk about big flower, I wonder what fertilizer it uses," Howard said.
"Good question," Harold replied.
"Good thing Clyde caught one for you guys to find out," Rita said.
"Good point," Howard said.
back at the gym,
"Firestorm you're up," Lincoln said, sending out firestorm.
everyone was surprised to see firestorm," whoa, is that firestorm?" Ronnie Anne asked." he's huge!"
"Talk about awesome," Bobby said." he's more dragon than fire."
"I know I was surprised myself," Lincoln said.
flashback,
"Ok, come on out," Lincoln said, calling out Andrea, riolu, and firestorm.
"Feels good to be back," Andrea said.
"Yup," riolu added.
Lincoln noticed firestorm," firestorm is that you?!" Lincoln asked.
"Yup, it's me, if you're wondering how this happened, Lynn helped me evolved," firestorm replied." she was helping get over my slump after my battle with cross, but I couldn't do her way of training, then these big guys were about to pond me until Lynn step in and protected me by taking their beatings, next thing I know I saw you doing the same thing that I just evolved and scared them away.
"Wow, Lynn did that?" Lincoln asked." she really has changed, by the way did those guys wet themselves?"
"Yup, and it was hilarious," firestorm replied as he, Andrea, riolu, and Lincoln laughed.
"Well, I'm glad you're back to your old buddy, because you'll be in the next gym battle tomorrow," Lincoln said.
"Alright, oh and by the way here's what you should know about shell shocker and steenee," firestorm said.
present day, back at the loud house,
"Links using firestorm, alright!" Lori said.
"he's gonna win easily," Leni said.
back at the gym,
"Use your foul stench," Erika said.
Vileplume shoots a foul stench in the air making everyone cover their noses, except for firestorm and Lincoln.
"My nose is on fire," Bobby said.
"Here togepi get my sweatshirt, you'll be safe from the stench," Ronnie Anne said as she puts togepi in her sweatshirt.
Erika noticed that Lincoln and firestorm isn't affected by the stench," how are you two not affected?" Erika asked.
"Girl please, this stench is nothing compared to my baby sisters' dirty diapers and my older sister's gym cloths, and I guess firestorm learned to handle it too," Lincoln replied.
"a stench far worse than vileplume's that's impossible," Erika said.
back at the loud house,
"Lincoln didn't have to mention my gym cloths," Lynn said as she blushes.
"Are lily's dirty diapers that bad?" Frida asked.
"Practically radioactive, which is why I still continue to use them for power ever since Lincoln's greenhouse project," Lisa replied.
"Maybe it's best to read what's in the baby food," Rita said as lily was giggling along with Carlitos.
back at the gym,
"Now firestorm use fireblast!" Lincoln said.
firestorm fires a powerful fireblast, causing a big fire explosion making vileplume faint," vileplume is unable to battle, the winner is Charzard, thus the victory goes to Lincoln," the referee said.
"Alright!" Lincoln cheered as he and firestorm high-five each other.
"that's my bro," Bobby said.
"he's number one," Pikachu said.
"he's improving more and more," brock said.
"i'll say, misty added.
"See togepi your daddy won," Ronnie Anne said, as she pulls togepi out of her sweatshirt.
Erika walks up to Lincoln," As a symbol of your victory i give you the rainbow badge," she said as she gives Lincoln the rainbow badge.
at the loud house,
"Lincoln won, Lincoln won," Lola cheered.
"I bet he can handle the next gym," Luna said.
"So can my prima, Carl said.
"Calm down everyone, we just have to wait until they call," Rita said. looks to the Casagrande's and McBride's, " you're free to stay until tonight."
"We like that," maria said.
back at the gym,
Lincoln and the other leave the gym and head to the Pokémon center while explaining how firestorm evolved along with shell shocker and steenee.
"Wow, I can't believe Lori did that, she really has changed," Bobby said.
"Even Lola, and she's the brat of your family," misty said.
"But I'm more impressed that Lynn let go of her pride and helped firestorm," Ronnie Anne said." I guess all three of them really got knocked into their senses."
as they walk towards the center, a familiar green haired woman sees them," can't believe you're still alive, maybe the boss would like to meet you," she said as she walks to a certain building.
That's chapter 50, next chapter, Lincoln will finally meet the boss of team rocket, does he have a chance against him, let's see.
