Mamoru woke the next morning feeling little if any affects from using the Golden Crystal, getting up and making breakfast while letting Usagi sleep. Mamoru scanned her at lunch just to make sure she was still ok as she hadn't woken since the previous night when they had used their crystals. By mid-afternoon he was near panic and calling Mercury and Saturn as he acknowledged he was not thinking rationally or logically.

In an unknown location…

Rubeus coughed up blood as he knelt begging for his leader to do something to save him. A woman in a green dress and green hair glared down at the dying man. "How pitiful? Rubeus defeated by children?" She laughed.

"Please, my Prince…"

"Grovelling doesn't suit you, Rubeus," The blonde prince that sat drinking wine on his throne responded.

"Allow me, Prince Diamond?" Came a creepy, evil voice from the shadows as a powerful energy blast flew past the prince and disintegrated the wounded, dying form with a laugh.

"Allow me to take over the mission in 20th Century, Prince Diamond. I, Emerald will not fail you."

The prince waved his hand, "Go, Emerald, bring me the Rabbit and the crystal. I am counting on you." The woman nodded before teleporting out.

Back on Earth …

"So, this is 20th Century. How primitive? Getting energy from these weak humans should be a piece of cake." The green haired woman said as she looked at an empty shop before waving her fan and transforming it into a bakery. Upon entering the newly formed bakery she summoned several droids to help her run the shop.

The next morning, she had opened the bakery and those who ate her treats would be surrendering their energy to her cause and soon those pesky senshi would succumb to her trap.

Elsewhere in Tokyo …

For the senshi and generals' life was getting back into their routines of school, training, activities, and helping Usagi and Mamoru with Chibi-Usa. The little girl whom the enemy called "rabbit" was slowly opening up to the group and although her concern for Usagi was obvious, she seemed to be having fun when she was out with the senshi and generals.

It had been a week since Yuro had transformed and as far as the senshi knew had killed Rubeus. A week since the royal couple had used their crystals and Usagi was still sleeping most of the day. The senshi and generals were anxious as they waited for the next attack and worried that their Princess appeared worse than before. Mamoru and Ami had been scanning her multiple times a day and comparing results while Saturn used her powers to boost Usagi's energy and check on the babies.

The other couples were taking turns having Chibi-Usa and distracting her from the state of the princess. Today Makoto and Kenji were taking the young child to the sweets new shop. "This new bakery has everyone raving. I hope one day to own a bakery that is this busy."

Kenji smiled at his girlfriend, "Yours will be the talk of the town and more." He leaned in to kiss his girlfriend.

As the couple entered the bakery Chibi-Usa raced a head as she surveyed the display case of delicious looking assortment of baked goods. The staff took noticed of the young child's unique hairstyle and soon the owner appeared offering Chibi-Usa samples. `This is so easy. I can't believe Rubeus screwed up.'

The couple came looking for Chibi-Usa, "Hey, Chibi-Usa, you need toh stay close when we are in places like this with so many people around." Makoto told the young child as Kenji ruffled his niece's hair.

"Oh, you must be this little one's parents," The green haired baker stated.

"No, we are her aunt and uncle," Kenji said ruffling the little girl's hair in affection as she licked the icing off one of the treats Emerald had given her.

"This is good. Can I have another one, please?" Chibi-Usa asked as she proceeded to lick her fingers.

The adults laughed, Makoto and Kenji wishing they could cover their ears as some of the other patrons had to the sound of Emerald's laugh. Emerald noticing the looks quickly stopped laughing, blushing she disappeared to retrieve more treats as she worked on a plan to separate the `rabbit' from her chaperones.

Usagi still hadn't woken since they used their crystals and Mamoru was almost in panic by the time Ami and Hotaru arrived. Hotaru worked on trying to calm Mamoru while Ami took lead on the medical side of the examination. Ami came out of the bedroom just before Mamoru shoved passed the younger senshi. "Mamoru!" Ami said sternly to get his attention. "I think I know what the issue is. Sit down and I will explain."

Mamoru nodded as the senshi exchanged glances. They may end up requiring back up to hold their prince back. "A thorough examination as determined that the four embryos share three amniotic sacs and three placentas."

"So, with multiples that happens they don't each need their own amniotic sacs or placenta. I have done my own medical studies." Mamoru said barely able to stay seated.

"That is true however, most embryo don't get put in stasis and from what I can tell the embryo left developing shares both a sac and placenta. This would mean that when delivered the remaining embryo wouldn't be able to survive." Ami paused looking at Hotaru for support and to see if the younger girl was catching on to what she was hinting at.

"Prince, this is fixable and all five of them will be fine," Hotaru said stressing the "WILL BE FINE".

"HOW?" Came the commanding masculine tone as Mamoru became Endymion.

"The reason that Usagi is still sleeping is the developing embryo is draining energy to save their twin. If we release the twin to develop together the additional strain should be released and Usagi will wake up."

"So, why aren't you doing that?" Endymion growled with growing concern.

"We can't."

"The stasis was created by the silver and golden crystals which we don't control."

Endymion all but collapsed in realization that he was the one that had to make this decision as well as the procedure. "She … we decided on a singleton."

"This is more then her comfort." Hotaru pointed out.

Ami nodded, "This is choosing between comfort and the life of one of your children."

"What do you think she would want?" Hotaru asked as she was also emotionally invested as no one knew if Chibi-Usa was one of the four embryo or was yet to be conceived. Reading the room the two left the prince alone in the living room to update the other senshi and prepare some tea and something to eat to help keep busy as well as steady the nerves.

Makoto and Kenji found themselves dozing in the café as Chibi-Usa looked to be in a sugar indosed coma. Boy, were they going to hear about this from the others. Just as Kenji's eyes were closing again he saw the baker reaching out for his slumbering niece and he was wide awake although realizing the true reason for their dozing, "Don't you dare touch my niece!"

Kenji's exertion of power jolted Makoto awake through their link, hitting the "all call" button on the communicator before summoning her transformation wand. "Jupiter Star Power!"

As the droids and Emerald were surprised by the senshi's transformation Kenji transformed and picked up his niece … he wouldn't forgive himself if they lost Chibi-Usa on his watch.
