Hello everyone, starmate3 here, and we all know why we're here and we all know what's about to happen. This will be the chapter that kicks off, hopefully, a long running season. However, before we start, you are probably wondering how I did the separation with the cast. While I won't reveal my methods, just know that there will be 22 contestants for this fic, 2 at the start of TRCYOCWT, with a 3rd once the merge starts, 13 will battle in out on the, now mutated, island in Revenge, and last 14, will go to the final location. Now, before I start, this is my first story ever, so if my writing isn't up to snuff, I'm sorry but I tried. With that out of the way, let's start the competition and see who is battling for the $100,000, or whatever currency they have in their home node.

Episode 1 - Not So Happy Campers Part 1
We begin on a shot of the wilderness, a dock in the foreground and some trees in the background, to the uninformed, this would look like the start of a commercial that would be advertised to visit, however, the serene look of the wild, is abruptly ended, when a mid to late 20s man emerges from the bottom of the screen.
This man is wearing an outfit that wouldn't look out of place with the location, from the blue shirt and brown pants, to the mega confident grin on his face, he is ready to begin the show in earnest. "Yo!" The man begins with, "We're coming to you live from Camp Wawanakwa, somewhere in Muskoka, Ontario. I'm your host Chris McLean, dropping season 1 of the hottest reality show, right now!"
Thrilling music begins to play as Chris begins the explanation of the show. "Here's the deal: 22 campers from throughout the multiverse have agreed to spend 8 weeks at this crummy old summer camp." As Chris continues his explanation, we receive a front perspective of the dock with the Wawanakwa sign being visible, "They'll compete in challenges against each other, then will have to face the judgment of their fellow campers."
As the music shifts to become more subdued, the host continues his explanation. "Every three days, one team will win a reward and the other team will watch one of their own walk on the 'Dock of Shame', take a ride on the 'Loser Boat'" after he says this, Chris chuckles while a signboard with a picture of the boat in question appears, "and leave Total Drama Island for good" he says while miming a golf swing.
A transition occurs to a campfire surrounded by an oil drum to the right and 11 stumps to the left, as Chris continues his commentation. "Their fate will be determined at the dramatic campfire ceremony where all but one camper will receive a marshmallow." As he walks behind the oil drum, Chris grabs one of the marshmallows on a stick laid on the drum as he eats it and then throws it behind him as his narration continues. "In the end, only one will be left standing and will be rewarded with chessy tabloid fame and a small fortune which, let's face it, they'll probably blow in a week." While Chris gives his explanation, he holds up a couple of magazines, that have the same cover, for tabloids and holds up a chest filled with jewelry and gold when talking about the fortune that can be earned.
"To survive, they'll have to battle: black flies, grizzly bears, disgusting camp food," as our host goes over the things our future campers will face, the respective things Chris mentions are showcased in the mini slideshow before cutting back to the host as he finishes his line "and each other." As the camera showcases some of the various cameras placed throughout the island, Chris narrates the following: "Every moment will be caught on one of hundreds of cameras, situated all over the camp" We return back to the dock where Chris finishes his narration. "Who will crumble under the pressure? Find out right here, right now, on," as the host says that final word, the camera pans out on the last three words: "Total! Drama! Island!"

We return to the dock as our host prepares to introduce the cast. "Welcome back to Total Drama Island. All right, it's time to meet our first 11 campers." The camera pans into a close up on Chris as he reveals a little secret. "We told them that the show was going to happen at a 5 star resort, so if they look a little TO'd, that's probably why."
As the first boat leaves and drops off the first player, it's clear that the cast is multiversal as our first camper shows. With pink, white and brown hair and pink eyes, Chris introduces her. "Neo! What's up?" While she doesn't respond verbally, she does wave at the host and the host responds in kind. "Not much of a talker are you, that's okay just go stand at the other end of the dock." Neo gives a thumbs up and heads to the end of the dock.
The next contestant wasn't a human, but rather a species called a Pocket Monster, or a Pokemon for short. Specifically, this was the pokemon known as the "scratch cat" pokemon, a cat-like pokemon with cream yellow fur and a brown tail end. However, the most notable thing about the cat, and the thing that piqued Neo's interest, was the medallion on the top of its head, or rather his head.
"Meowth, I know that you are here to represent Team Rocket, you hoping to win or prove yourself?" Chris asked and the, now named, Meowth responded with: "Of course, but da only other thing dat I wanna do is prove I can last in the game." After that, Meowth walked to the end of the dock, and noticed Neo staring at his coin, leaving him confused as to why she was looking at him. However, before anything could develop the next contestant arrived.
She was an orange earth pony, with a blond mane and tail, green eyes and a cutie mark of 3 apples and a stetson, but based on her expression this wasn't what she expected. "Hey, Applejack." As Chris introduced her, she trotted over and asked the million dollar question: "Ya mean we're stayin' here?" Chris, who was waiting for someone to ask that, responded with: "No, you're staying here, my crib is an Airstream with AC that way." With that Chris allowed Applejack to pass by, with Meowth and Neo introducing themselves to the earth pony, who wondered why the application and the island didn't match.
The sound of a passing horn and a fleeing boat drops off contestant number 4. Similar to the last two, this camper was not human at all. Rather, he was wearing a cybernetic suit, with a laser gun in its holster, but sitting inside was a common earthworm, but his posture showed that he was ready for action. "Earthworm Jim," Chris introduced as he shook Jim's hand, "how has life been treating you in space?" Jim responded with: "The same as it always has been, defeating Professor Monkey-for-a-Head, saving Princess What's Her Name, same ol', same ol'. I'm hoping to have some fun while I'm here and to win the game." After that, Chris allowed Jim to pass, though he gave Neo an inquisitive look as he joined the group.
Camper 5 emerges from the boat, with their luggage in tow. He was a tall, anthropomorphic crocodile, with green scales and a golden chain around his neck. Before Chris introduced him to the masses, he did it for him. "My name is Vector the Crocodile, I am going to be the one to win this game for my Team Chaotix teammates, but I hope that we can all be friends by the end of the competition." After saying that, Vector joins the group at the end of the dock, not noticing Meowth glaring at him, while Neo wonders what she got herself into.
Luckily for Chris, he sees the next contestant stepping off the boat and is able to introduce them. "Hey everyone, it's Chun-Li!" Chris is right on the money with that announcement, with the asian girl decked out in blue and one of the most well known Street Fighters around, not that any of the other characters know that, though Neo is relieved by the variety in the cast. "Thanks Chris, I hope all the rest of you are ready to compete, cause if you wanna win, you will have to go through me." And with that, she joins the growing group.
The next camper didn't come on a boat, instead a crimson red portal opened on the edge of the dock, much to everyone's, but Chris, confusion. The camper emerges from the portal and it closes once they leave it. The new contestant was bird-like in design, but based on the color of the portal and her eyes, it was clear she was a literal demon. "Nice entrance Octavia, you ready to compete?" Octavia doesn't respond but her body language showed that the answer was yes. As she joins the cast, everyone, sans Vector, Chun-Li and Applejack, shudders in fear.
The 8th contestant arrives on the island soon after and he jumps off the boat and lands on the dock. His outfit consists of standard Japanese samurai gi, which makes sense because he is a samurai. "Samurai Jack, welcome to the island man." As Jack goes to say something, he notices Octavia and her obvious demon look. Jack goes to pull out his sword but Chris whispers in his ear: "Yes, we have a demon on the show, however don't attack her or her parents will be mad." Jack puts his sword back, reluctantly, heads to the other end of the dock and reserves to glaring at Octavia, to the latter's annoyance.
The next contestant is on the island now. Being a literal skeleton with a surprising taste in clothing. "Contestant number 8 is Jack Skellington", but before Chris can continue his introduction, Octavia speaks up for the first time. "No Chris he's the ninth, the eight is the 'samurai' that's glaring at me." Chris, who legitimately forgot how many had arrived, responded: "Thanks Octavia, now since we have two Jacks in the cast, refer to the Jack with the sword as Samurai and the Jack in front of me as Skellington, everyone understand?" After everyone gave affirmative responses, Skellington spoke up. "Chris, I think I have a chance to show that skeletons can make it far in this game." Chris responded with "We will see how well you do." and let him by to the cast.
The 10th contestant was another anthro, this time being a female duck with aviator goggles and a metallic foot. However, she tailed behind her boat on water skis waving happily as Chris introduced her. "Ladies and gentleman, Della Duck!" As the boat got closer to the dock, Della leaped off the ski and landed feet first on the dock, as the campers clapped for her successful stunt. Della walked up to the group of 9 without a word as the next boat arrived.
The halfway point contestant was a male who dressed like a scientist, however one of his arms was robotic, giving the implication that he is a mad scientist. Chris introduced him."Wiz, how are you doing man." "Pretty good, I mean hosting Death Battle with Boomstick does make some money, but if I win, I can make even more of it." After Wiz's response, he joined the pre introduced cast, as everyone realized that winning was not going to be easy.
The 12th camper had a lot of bandages all over his face, which caused some of the campers to feel nervous for his safety in the game. Other than the bandages, he was a relatively normal guy, and a recurring witness at trials, though no one knew that. "Larry Butz" the host took a brief second to chuckle at his unfortunate last name, which gave him a short annoyed glance from Larry, but quickly regained his composure and continued: "Unfortunate last names aside, welcome to your new home for the next 8 weeks." A quick shot to the cabins, before shooting the view back to Larry, who sighed before saying, and heading to the already assembled cast: "It could've been worse Larry, it could've been worse."
Unlucky number 13's boat arrived next. It was an aggressive woman with combat experience, she had got off her boat with a smirk on her face, but when she saw all of the men that had been assembled with the other woman, that smirk quickly morphed into a scowl. However, before she could say anything, Chris interjected and spoke in a low voice. "Look Tenko,"the host began with, "I know you don't like males, your previous master was uber perverted, and while there isn't anything that can change that, just keep your head down, don't say much and try not to get kicked off too early." After giving Tenko the best advice he could, Chris let the girl join the cast, with Tenko temporarily debating in her mind if she should follow Chris' advice.
The next boat had two campers on it instead of one. One contestant was a tall male with a beige colored suit and, in his home node, known for his expressions rather than his speech. The other was a much shorter species called a Waddle Dee, this particular one wearing a bandana and holding a spear. "Gentleman, Bean, Bandana," Chris introduced, "welcome to camp." While Mr. Bean gave the host a thumbs up, Bandana was more nervous, but still wanted to show gratitude to the host and he did by saying: "Thanks for choosing me, I'm still in shock that I was picked." After that, they join the cast at the end of the dock.
Boat #15 had another male, much to Tenko's hidden anguish, and while like Bean was human, didn't mean that he was powerless, having the power of a devil fruit that controls sand, while not making much sense logically, it is much more powerful than you think. "Crocodile." Chris had introduced but he wasn't in the mood to talk, he was going to win this game and no one, in his mind, was going to take him down.
Chris, a bit miffed that Crocodile had completely ignored him, quickly went back into presentation mode to introduce the camper on the next boat. The next boat had a racer from the popular racing league F-Zero. However, they weren't able to get the most well known racer in Captain Falcon, so they went with one of the few female racers. "Kate Allen, our racing and singing camper, welcome to the island." Kate shook the hosts hand and said "Thanks for having me, I want to get people to talk more about our sport. It's one of the better sports to be a part of." After the exposition she gave, she joined that cast, who were all wondering who would show next.
The next boat to arrive had 2 girls, one of them was a much younger school age girl, but didn't look anything like what someone would expect them to look. The other was a blood maiden one that cared, but at the same time looked like her attention wandered. Chris introduced each camper one at a time. "Spinelli, welcome to camp." After the, now minted, girl looked around, she gave her opinions on the localie. "Well, this may not have been what was advertised, but I think I can still have a reasonable amount of fun here." Chris let Spinelli pass by, then turned his attention to the taller girl.
"Welcome to your new home for the next 8 weeks, Gretel, I know you have a tendency to say morally wrong things, but maybe you could make it to the end." Gretel, who had been paying attention while he was talking, spoke up by saying "As long as I can use this scythe to take stuff out, I can prove my worth." As Gretel walked over to the cast, there were mixed emotions, on her being allowed to have a scythe, those thoughts were silenced by the arrival of the penultimate boat to the island.
This boat had the last two female campers, one of them being a mostly Japanese teen, though she is ΒΌ American, who at a glance, looked relatively normal, while the other was 12 year old girl, with pink hair and gold eyes, who had something that looked like a spinning top in her luggage. "Ladies, Ann, Mariah, welcome to the show." Chris introduced, as both girls shook Chris' hands and joined the cast, as the cast realized that there was, once again to Tenko hidden annoyance, one last male left to reveal.
"And lastly but certainly not least, Wooldoor Sockbat." Chris introduced the final boat and the contestant had arrived. As the boat hadn't left yet, everyone had got a look at the last contestant, as his name implied a bat-like yellow creature that was very energetic and seemed happy to be here. "Chris McLean, this place is amazing and I'm ready to have an amazing competition." Chris chuckled jovially at Wooldoor's naive optimism, before saying: "That's great to hear Wooldoor, now can everyone assemble at the end of the dock, we need to take a picture for the promos."
The campers all headed over to the other end of the dock, while Chris got on the boat that still hadn't left yet. As Chris turned around to see the cast, now with a camera, had gotten into poses, but could all be seen by the host. "All right 1, 2, oops, the cards full." All of the members on the dock smiles, disappear for a brief moment, but quickly return as Chris clears the card, and takes out the lens cap. "Okay, everyone say 'Wawanakwa'." All the assembled campers on the dock said in unison: "WAWANAKWA!" Unfortunately for the cast, the combined weight of all 22 caused the dock to break from under them, sending all of them into the water, as Chris snapped the picture, leading to pictures of some of the cast trying to stay above water. 'All right everyone, wash up and meet me by the campfire at 10."
(Fade to Commercial and Back to the Episode)
"This is Camp Wawanakwa, your home for the next 8 weeks.", Chris exposited as the camera cut to the 22 campers either sitting on or standing around the 11 stumps. As Chris continued to exposit, the camera caught glimpses of the campers as friends, or competition. "The campers around you can be your friends, your foes, or even your competition, the camper that manages to last the longest in the competition, will win $100,000 of whatever currency you guys have." When Chris finished his line, Bandana had a question he wanted to ask. "A-are the beds c-coe-d or are we separated by gender?" Chris responded with "Girls will have one side and guys will get the other, so they are not co-ed." While Tenko internally sighed in relief, Chris pulled out a piece of paper and said "I'm now going to put you all into teams, when I call your name, go stand on the right." As Chris read the names, the characters in question were showcased with their response.
"Mr. Bean, Chun-Li, Della, Wooldoor, Meowth, Gretel, Octavia, Jim, Applejack, Bandana and Spinelli." As the mentioned 11 assemble to where Chris said, the host pulls out a green banner, and flips it, where it's caught by Chun-Li as Chris reveals the following: " The 11 of you are now, the Screaming Gophers." Chun-Li unrolls the banner, to reveal a green gopher in a fighting position with its mouth open, ready to fight. "Well team, let's see what our opponents will challenge with." Chun-Li said. Chris then turns his attention to the remaining 11 as he pulls out the paper.
"The rest of you, to the left. Kate, Wiz, Neo, Mariah, Vector, Skellington, Samurai, Ann, Tenko, Larry and Crocodile." As this set moves to their position, Chris pulls out another banner, this one red. He throws it to the team and Vector catches it as Chris introduces their name. "The 11 of you are now, the Killer Bass." Vector unveils their banner revealing a leaping, red bass with an angry expression. 'I like the names and what you're going for, land vs water. I like it." Vector said as Chris continued his explanation.
"Okay campers, while the show airs, you will all be on camera, while you are on this show." Chris said before static appeared.

Chris McLean - Host - "You will also be allowed to speak your mind in the confessional cam, you talk about what going on in the game, get something off your chest and where you go vote off each other."
Larry Butz - Killer Bass - "I had expected something like this, because I felt the promise of the resort was fake. I just hope I can make some friends while I'm here."
Wooldoor Sockbat - Screaming Gophers - "This is gonna be totally awesome! I've proven that I can do well on Drawn Together, there is no way I can lose."
Neo Politan - Killer Bass - She doesn't say anything, but she pulls out a sign that reads "This is gonna be a long 8 weeks." before sighing.
Bandana Waddle Dee - Screaming Gophers - "King Dedede, I'm still not sure I was the best decision, but if you insist, I'll win this game to prove you right."

"Does anyone have any questions or issues with their team placement?" Chris asked as the first confessional run ended. When no one spoke up, Chris assumed that there were no problems so the show could move on. "All right, let's find your cabins."
The camera cut to two wooden cabins that had nearly identical designs and were going to be where the cast would live for the rest of the show. "Gophers, you're in the east, Bass, you're in the west." A close up of one of the front doors on the Gophers girl side, when it opens, to reveal a wood burning finance and a couple of bunk beds.
"Well, this is a camp, so bunk beds were what I was expecting." Spinelli, who was the one who opened the cabin door, as Applejack trotted by. "Hey girls, is this where I can put my stuff?" Wooldoor had asked, but Chun-Li, who was behind him noticed the situation and notified Wooldoor by saying, "Wooldoor, you're on the wrong side of our cabin.". Wooldoor, who didn't realize that mistake, because he was following the girls, nodded sheepishly, grabbed his bags and got to the male's side of the cabin.
Meanwhile, Della walked out of her cabin, wondering where something was. "Um, Chris, where are the outlets? I have some things I need to plug in." Chris, knowing where the things she was looking for were, responded: "There are some over in the communal wash rooms." Della's face went beat red when she heard that and closed the door as she ran back into her cabin.
"Hey Chris?" Crocodile asked as Mariah entered the girls side of the Bass cabin. "Is there a chaperone in this location, or is it just us?" "Most of you are 16 or older and even some of the younger campers have shown that their well of on their own," Chris began, as that was one of the questions that was planned if someone asked, "So, aside from me, what you do won't be watched over, you have 1 hour to unpack and meet in the mess hall." As Chris walked off to set up the first challenge, Crocodile was more than happy with the news as he said: "Excellent."
The camera cut to one hour later, as all 22 campers were in front of a darker skinned male, and based on his expression, he was not in the mood to be insulted and looked like he would snap if you even looked at him funny. "Listen up! I will serve it 3 times a day, and you will eat it 3 times a day. Grab a tray, get your food, AND SIT YOUR BUTTS DOWN NOW!" This was Chef Hatchet, he is not to be messed with. However, two people would learn that lesson the hard way. "Will we be getting all the major food groups?" asked Ann and Larry agreed saying: "Yeah, because I don;t wanna become sick while I'm out here." However, they were not prepared for Chef's response. "You'll get a whole lot of SHUT THE HECK UP!" With that, both grabbed their food and sat down. Meowth and Octavia were next to each other in line, and the former couldn't help but say something.
So, whispered he said:"Someone needs to calm down." Unfortunately, Chef was listening very closely and, while beconning Meowth over with his finger, said: "What was that? Come closer cat boy, I didn't hear you." Meowth, not wanting to be punched off the island, said: "I didn't say anything." Took his food and ran to his seat. Chef glared at the cat for a short while, before turning his attention to Octavia. "You, demon kid, give me your plate." Octavia did and Chef gave her her food.
Flash forward to minutes later, where all of the contestants were enjoying (read, hating) the food provided and Chris walked into the room. "Welcome to the mess hall." Spinelli, who wasn't too pleased with what was being served, asked "Chris, can we order a pizza instead?" However, Chef was not taking that lying down and responded, by taking a knife and throwing it at the wooden wall. This made some of the campers lock away their mental objections, and Spinelli, now fearful, said "Just kidding Chef, the food is amazing, right guys?"
Anyway, Chris broke the news and said: "I have finished preparing for the first challenge, and it will start in one hour, so be ready with your swimwear." and with that, he walked off, leaving the campers to wonder what they were doing first.
Bandana in particular asked Della "What do you think they'll make us do?" Della started to think, going through all the stuff she's done, returning from the moon, reuniting with Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and defeating an alien force, and as such with confidence at its highest, she responded: "It's our first challenge, how hard could it be?"
One Hour Later
All of the campers were standing at the top of a drop. A very high drop. A 1,000 foot high steep drop. With everyone having nervous responses at the implications. Della, now knowing what the first challenge consisted of, in a manner similar to her brother, only had 2 words to say.
"Ah, phooey."

So that concludes the first episode. We have an interesting cast, thank you for the suggestions, and we know the goal now. I'm considering pairings as we speak so don't worry about that. I did randomizes what teams the characters would be on, so if wanted me to pick and choose, my bias would show
While I prepare episode 2, make predictions, do side stories and reaction fics, anything to get the word out. With that I'm signing off, for now review and guess who goes.
