Chapter 5 Replica Attack

Sora, Riku, Donald, Goofy, Pogo, Gori, and Beru were making their way to the Kuu Tribe's lair, when suddenly a large and familiar figure stepped into their path a few dozen yards away.

"Beast?" Asked Sora in surprise recognizing his friend and ally.

"How'd he get here?" Asked Donald.

"Maybe something happened to Bell that brought her to this world and Beast followed her. Wouldn't be the first time Beast traveled to another world." Said Goofy.

"Guess you're right. Hey Beast, how's it going?" Said Sora waving to Beast.

Beast didn't respond and just stared ahead.

"What's with him?" Asked Donald.

"Maybe he's under a spell." Suggested Goofy.

"Let's get closer to him." Said Sora.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Asked Riku.

"Yeah, don't worry, Beast is our friend and even he he did try to hurt us, we can handle him." Said Sora.

"I just have a bad feeling about this." Said Riku.

"Is it because you feel guilty about your last encounter with Beast and because you hurt him?" Asked Sora.

"A little bit." Said Riku.

"I'm sure if you apologize to Beast, he'll forgive you. Will even put in a good word for you." Said Sora.

"Alright, but...there's still something bothering me about this. It's a bit weird for Beast to just randomly show up in front of us." Said Riku.

"Will be on our guard." Said Sora before he headed over to Beast.

"Hey Beast what are you doing here?" Said Sora.

Beast's responded by roaring and leaped at Sora swinging his claws! Sora quickly raised his keyblade and blocked the attack, but the force of it still sent him skidding back.

"What's wrong with you Beast?" Asked Sora with both concern and confusion as Beast charged at him.

Riku, Donald, and Goofy pulled out their weapons and were able to charge in and help Sora, when there was a loud bang nearby and a rock close by exploded into bits. The three heroes turned to see Clayton arrive on the scene riding the invisible Stealth Sneak accompanied by Scar and Sabor.

"Clayton?! Scar?!" Said Goofy in both shock and confusion at the site of the ole enemies.

"And Sabor!" Said Donald.

"What's going on? Why are we being attacked by old enemies from other worlds?" Asked Riku.

Pogo and Gori were about to rush in and provide some aid of their own, when Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed raced out of the jungle and began to attack them.

"The hyenas?!" Said Goofy.

"I think someone very powerful is behind all this." Muttered Riku.

The Replicas attacked, with Beast going after Sora, Scar going after Goofy, Sabor going after Donald, Clayton and Stealth Sneak going after Riku, and the hyenas going after Pogo and Gori. Beru stood on the sidelines and watched as the others fought, unaware that more enemies were close by in the form of Zaki and the Kuu Tribe warriors.

Riku dodged Clayton's gun shots as he raced towards the hunter and leaped into the air to strike him, only to get swatted away by Stealth Sneak. The teen quickly recovered and fired some dark blasts at the area beneath Clayton making the Heartless become visible and reveal itself.

"Got you." Said Riku as he charged forward again.

Riku dodged the Stealth Sneak's swings, before he delivered a couple of strikes to it's face and a blow to Clayton's head knocking him off the beat's back. Clayton scrambled to his feet and swung his gun like a club at Riku, who deflected it and delivered a few blows of his own to the hunter. The Stealth Sneak lunged at Riku and tried to attack him, but he rolled out of the way and fired a barrage of dark blast at the Heartless knocking it back.

Scar lunged at Goofy, but he blocked the lion with his shield before pushing him back. Goofy threw his shield at Scar and hit him making the lion feel back.

Sabor kept trying to attack Donald, but the duck kept him at by, with a variety of spells.

Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed circled Pogo and Gori and tried to rush them from three different ways, but the pair of heroes dodged out of the way and the hyenas crashed into each other instead. Pogo and Gori struck the stunned trio with their club and fists.

Sora continued to dodge attacks from Beast and decided he needed to help his friends with their battles before properly dealing with Beast. He sidestepped a attack from Beast and struck him in the back knocking him down and stunning him. Sora changed into his Wisdom form and began shooting spells first at Sabor, the hyenas, Scar, and then Stealth Sneak and Clayton.

All the enemies were struck by the magic blasts and fell to their sides. The Stealth Sneak fell hard right on Clayton pinning him to the ground. Riku watched as the Stealth Sneak faded away releasing a heart and saw Clayton faded away in a similar matter as the Riku Replica back in Castle Oblivion. Now the strange and sudden appearance of the enemies made sense to Riku as he saw the animal enemies fade away in similar fashion.

Riku turned his attention to Sora and saw Beast about to attack him from behind and quickly dashed forward delivering a powerful slash to the Replica making it fall over and begin to fade away.

"What the?" Asked Sora.

"They were all Replicas. None of them were real." Explained Riku.

"But who made them and sent them after us?" Asked Sora.

"Don't know, but I have a couple of guesses." Said Riku.

"Beru gone!" Cried Pogo in alarm.

Everyone looked around, but there was no sign of Beru. Pogo sniffed the air and a angry look appeared on his face.

"Kuu Tribe!" Said Pogo.

Zaki and his warriors had snatched Beru up during all the fighting and had run off with her!

"We got to stop them and save Beru!" Declared Sora.

The others nodded in agreement and took off with Pogo leading the way to the lair of the Kuu Tribe.
