Chapter 24:

Jabón Raza would be pleased with the results of the experiment. Chaka is the first successful test on the Super Warrior Program. He'd ask Chaka: "Congratulations Chaka! You are the first person to undergo the Super Warrior mutation with great success. How do you feel?" Chaka looks up to meet his gaze: "I feel great. This power is surging through me…. I feel like a new person. It's as if…It's as if I can finally get my revenge in full." Jabón Raza would reach into his coat pocket: "I appreciate your obligation to commit in our program. And as a result, here is our notion of gratitude." It was a fat stack of cash! It was more than any job Chaka had done previously in his life, or at least the jobs he's done that weren't from high class clients.

It was finally set in stone. Chaka receives the cash and places it in his pants pocket. Chaka nods his head: "Thank you again, sir. I appreciate what you've done for me." Jabón Raza also nods his head. Chaka then turns back and fires a blast through the cavern wall that led to the surface. Chaka would then fly outside via his newly made exit. With that, Jabón Raza would let out a sigh of relief, followed up with a sigh of sorrow. Jabón Raza, realizing that he has to fix his test tube and the giant hole in his underground lab, would get to work. For now though, this will be the last time see Jabón Raza.

We cut back to the others at Capsule Corp, who appear to be going by their day just like any other. Their intervention with Chaka was short and felt more like a rock on the road than a legitimate threat to the planet. At least, that's what they all thought anyway. Later that night, Chaka would be stalking Capsule Corp once again. This time he had a more up front approach than the last. Chaka would begin to fly through the trees in the nearby forest with his eyes dead set on what laid ahead. His revenge on the Kitsueko family and his new personal revenge on a certain Saiyan. However, Chaka would feel as if something was off and had sensed a being with massive amounts of energy heading his way. The unknown assailant launches a surprise attack onto Chaka, sending him into the trees.

Chaka would get back up rather quickly and stare down his mystery assailant. It was a cloaked figure who stood tall against him. Chaka cracks his neck and arrogantly smirks: "Well now. I wasn't expecting a surprise visitor. Who might you be?" The cloaked person would unveil their hood and reveal their appearance to Chaka. It was none other than B'az! B'az gets into his stance: "Aren't you a lovely sight to see.." Chaka just laughs it off: "You shouldn't let my appearance fool you, young warrior. You still have so much to learn, yet you decide to stand against me."

"That's because, I can't let you have your revenge!" B'az declares to Chaka as he charges in immediately! Chaka's smirk on his face grows as he sees his target approaching him. B'az goes in for a strike to the head, but Chaka ducks underneath and uppercuts B'az, followed up with a roundhouse kick to knock B'az back through a few trees. Chaka sticks out his hand and unleashes a powerful blast. B'az recovers from the blows and sees the blast: "What!? I wasn't informed he could use ki!" B'az at the last minute grabs onto the ki blast and plants his feet. B'az struggles to hold the blast back, but manages to nullify it in time. B'az catches his breath after that: "Damn…He's strong..A lot stronger than I thought." Chaka reappears inches away from B'az's face: "So, you don't want me to have my revenge? The revenge I rightfully deserve!?" Chaka delivers a mean gut punch to B'az, causing B'az to spit out blood and saliva from his mouth.

B'az had the wind knocked out of him as he tried to gasp for air. With the stunned B'az on his knees, he was left defenseless. Chaka looks at the downed warrior with disgust: "Tch..Look at you. I almost feel pity for you. Consider this an act of mercy, next time…I will have your head." B'az's vision would start to fade as he collapsed there, falling unconscious. Chaka continues to move towards Capsule Corp once more, but this time he's interrupted once again. A blast would come hurdling towards Chaka, but Chaka was ready for it this time. He deflects the blast in an instant, and a giant explosion would occur in the skies of the forest. There would be a humanoid shadow hovering right below the explosion. The shadow would descend to the ground and face Chaka directly. Chaka's initially annoyed expression grew furious, as he knew exactly who he was facing. The man who attacked him was Oritsu himself.

Oritsu would be in his powered up state as his green aura flows around him. Chaka would be the first to break the ice: "So, we finally meet face to face…Son of Turk…" Oritsu responds: "I never forgot who you were…And don't mention his name to my face! That man isn't my father, and I have my own reason for standing here! You…You killed our mother! I'm not the vengeful type, but.. you are the only exception to this. I've been waiting for this day.." Chaka chuckles and remarks: "Seems we've agreed on one thing. I can finally bring an end to your bloodline after what your father had done to me!" Oritsu angrily shouts: "I SAID DON'T MENTION HIS NAME!" At that moment, Oritsu's power had spiked! Chaka responded by also powering up: "Despite us being enemies, I understand why you dislike your father. But, my revenge is still incomplete unless I finish you first…" Oritsu tells Chaka: "This is a personal matter between us now. I don't think either of us is going to willingly die…This will be between us two." Chaka clenches his fist: "Fine…Once I finish you off, I'll deal with the rest of you who have intervened with my plans." Oritsu has come face to face with his mother's killer. It was silent. Nothing but the breeze flowing through the forest. The sound of a twig being snapped could be heard. At that moment, both Chaka and Oritsu would rush towards each other, engaging in a clash.

Each blow they've dealt would be countered immediately. Chaka and Oritsu kept trading blows until at one point Oritsu kicked Chaka into the ground and fired off a blast at point blank range. Chaka comes out of the crater instantly and bashes Oritsu into several trees before throwing him in the air. Chaka flies upwards and kicks him even higher up into the sky before slamming him down with an axe kick. Chaka descends to Oritsu's location with both hands extended out: "Despite what you know about your old man, there's still much for you to learn!" With Chaka's arms spread out he slams Oritsu even further into the ground. As Chaka gets back into an upright position, more and more of his human skin continues to peel away in favor of the frost demon skin.

Chaka circles Oritsu: "Your father was nothing but a jealous brat. He only wanted revenge on me because I took the title of grandmaster from him… He responded by BURNING THE DOJO DOWN! YOUR FATHER DIDN'T PAY HIS RESPECTS TO THE PASSING OF HIS MASTER! THE MAN WHO WAS A FATHER TO THE BOTH OF US!" Chaka fires a blast towards Oritsu, but Oritsu narrowly dodges it and continues to vanish through the forest. Chaka follows suit, leaving behind even more peeled skin: "I gave your father mercy, because I believed he could change. But I was wrong. He used his own son to reignite his own revenge again by using you! I wanted revenge on him for taking away what was rightfully mine! IT'S HIS FAULT WHY I WENT DOWN THIS WRETCHED PATH! NOW I CAN SET THINGS RIGHT FOR MYSELF AND BE AT PEACE!"

Oritsu grew furious at this and fires off a Crimson Cannon: "I DON'T CARE ABOUT MY FATHER'S PAST OR YOUR REASONING! YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! CRIMSON CANNON!"

Chaka puts up his guard and blocks the oncoming attack. The trees nearby in the forest would be disintegrated into ash. As all the trees disappear, the moonlight would be completely lit in that area of the forest. At this point in time, Chaka's frost demon skin would cover the entire right half of his body. As more skin continued to shed, Chaka's power continued to grow exponentially. Chaka rushes at incredibly high speeds around Oritsu. Oritsu has his guard up and sees Chaka continuously vanish around him. But it was already too late. All of a sudden, a barrage of punches and kicks from all angles appear in front of Oritsu. There was no escape for him as he takes the attacks head on taking major damage. Oritsu wavers a bit in his powered up state but powers back up to full and charges at Chaka. This time, Oritsu's attack completely misses and leaves Oritsu to be off balanced. Chaka, seizing this opportunity, punches Oritsu into several trees, causing them to fall over as Oritsu barrels his way through. Oritsu continues to stumble through the forest, before hitting the edge of a hill. Oritsu's starting to lose steam in this battle, but he doesn't go out without a fight. He holds a blast within one hand and fires it right to Chaka, but Chaka quickly deflects the blast away. In that split second, Oritsu ends up right next to Chaka and knees him in the gut. Chaka's body recoils before swiftly recovering, and countering by grabbing him and slamming him into the ground.

At this point, Oritsu was losing steam fast. He couldn't muster up enough energy to stay in his powered up state, and descended back to normal. Chaka looks down on him: "Now with you incapacitated, my revenge will finally be mine!" Chaka heads in for the killing blow with a Death Beam heading straight to Oritsu's neck. Oritsu had no time to act, all he could do was brace for impact. He'd close his eyes, wincing for the pain to come But, there was none. How come? Once Oritsu looked up to see what had happened, he saw that Letuce would be standing in front of him.

Letuce turns around: "We made it just in time, Oritsu." Letuce had successfully deflected the Death Beam that was about to hit Oritsu. Right behind Oritsu was, surprisingly, his older sister Kiki. Kiki would help Oritsu get back up: "You gonna be alright, Ori? Are you hurt in any vital areas? What's happening?!" Oritsu would slightly push his sister away: "I'm alright, Kiki." Kiki has her hands on Oritsu's shoulder: "Alright? ALRIGHT!? YOU ARE NOWHERE NEAR ALRIGHT, ORI! YOU ALMOST GOT KILLED OUT THERE! I COULD HAVE LOST YOU!"

Oritsu talks back to her: "This is something I have to do, Kiki! It's a personal matter you wouldn't understand!" Kiki is left confused, and angry. "THIS ISN'T JUST A PERSONAL MATTER, WE'VE BEEN DRAGGED INTO THIS TOGETHER! YOU'RE STARTING TO SOUND LIKE DAD!"

Oritsu snapped at her: "DON'T COMPARE ME TO THAT MAN!"

There was a pause between their bickering. Oritsu calms himself and tells his sister straight: "This is something I need to take care of Kiki. This man…he killed our mother! I want him to pay dearly for that, no matter the cost! BY MY OWN HANDS!" Kiki reassures him: "I understand your anger, and why you wish to do this, but you can't do this alone! We're here to help you!"

Chaka interrupts their conversation: "You resemble your father whether you like or not, child…" Both Kiki and Oritsu would turn their attention to Chaka. Oritsu clenches his fist in anger that Chaka reminds Oritsu of his father. Chaka continues: "You're both vengeful and wish to set things right on your own terms. You wish to kill me for the death of your mother. He wished to kill me out of jealousy and hatred because he didn't inherit master's dojo. You would do anything to get your revenge, wouldn't you? He burned down the dojo, and you would even verbally attack your own family?"

Oritsu stops: "I….I wouldn't…I'M NOT LIKE HIM!"

Chaka shouts: "SILENCE! Despite this, there is another thing to note. I chose to let your father live as he would have a prolonged suffering and imagine death as a sweet release. We are all vengeful in our own rights. I wished to end your mother's life to ruin your father's, so that way he feels a pain worse than death. I even wish the same to you. You and I are also one in the same…"

Oritsu looks him dead in the eye: "I am not.. like you… Who do you think you are?! Quit with the damn lectures! You've gone too far and look at you now! You've turned yourself into a monster!"

Chaka retorts: "You are far too weak to be any threat to me…It would seem that I am too powerful for the likes of you…" Letuce would step forward: "Don't even think about getting any closer…" Letuce blocks Chaka from approaching. Chaka raises an eyebrow: "Oh? And what exactly are you accomplishing here? You still wish to defend your friend?" Letuce gives Chaka a stone cold stare: "I will lay down my life for him. Oritsu is not who you say he is, and I can say that for a fact. This may have been a personal matter for the both of you, but it's also personal to us. We're here to stop you from killing our friends in the name of revenge. So back off, or we will strike back!" Chaka questioned the young Saiyan: "We? Who's we here?"

A foreboding voice would come from behind Chaka: "Remember me, you ugly bastard?" Chaka turns around in shock. Vejin was right behind him and Vejin would unleash a devastating blow to the abdomen! Chaka felt that one instantly, but goes in to counter Vejin's blow. Vejin narrowly dodges the attack and goes in for the assault. Oritsu yells it Vejin: "Vejin stop! Please! I can't let you do this!" Vejin looks back: "And why's that? Going to pull the same "it's personal" card again?! Don't give me that shit! It's become personal to all of us, even myself. I've been aching for a round 2 with this guy now." As Vejin says this he cracks his knuckles. After Vejin's assault, only the upper right corner of Chaka's body remained human. 75% of Chaka's body was now Frost Demon.

Chaka stares down Vejin face to face. Vejin tells him: "I can already tell that you were a lot stronger when fighting Oritsu. Why not use some more of that power on me?" Chaka chuckles a little bit: "Oh please. I don't need to use that much power on you. You're nothing." Vejin chuckles back: "So, how about we fix that then?" Vejin clenches his fist and his aura surrounds him. Vejin begins to power up against Chaka. Chaka starts to sweat a bit as he watches Vejin power up.

Vejin begins to shout at the top of his lungs: "HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Vejin's hair starts to flow across his head before it spike up. Vejin's eyes change to a greenish blue color and his aura becomes a golden flame. Chaka starts to back up in fear. He may have bit off more than he could chew. Finally, in one fell swoop, the golden aura engulfs this area of the forest, leaving a semi-sphere of golden light. After a second, the golden semi-sphere fades away, and at the epicenter of it all, Vejin has also become a Super Saiyan.

Chaka had lost that confidence of his to take over the situation and felt the looming presence of despair right in front of him: "Wh-What is this!? You've changed!" Oritsu, would be at the same level of shock as Chaka. "He's got it too!? Vejin's a Super Saiyan!?" Oritsu exclaims. Dawning the golden aura, Vejin stares down at Chaka and begins to walk forward. While doing so he'd crack his knuckles as he walked: "Looks like you've dug your deathbed…Now you're gonna pay." Vejin takes one more step forward before he completely vanishes from sight. Chaka looks around with a hint of paranoia. Chaka can't even locate where Vejin had disappeared to! But, in that instance, Vejin socked Chaka right in the face! Chaka didn't even process the fact that he was just hit, Vejin's speed was incredible. It would take a few moments to pass before he'd react to the attack. Vejin follows up his punch with a swift elbow, knocking Chaka through the forest completely.

Chaka, enraged that he's being bested by the same Saiyan, yet again, unleashes a fury of attacks to strike at Vejin. But, it looked like a repeat of the first encounter. Vejin continued to evade all of Chaka's attacks with minimal effort: "Seems you can't learn from your mistakes. Allow me to fix that!" Vejin fires off a close ranged blast, leaving Chaka covered by the smoke. Once Chaka's vision had come to, Vejin unleashed a barrage of kicks to his gut. He'd finish the assault with an axe kick into the ground. The ground underneath them started to cave in and fall, leaving a giant hole in the forest. Vejin flies down the hole and grabs onto Chaka's face, dragging him down further underground. Vejin exclaims to Chaka: "You're nothing but a sniveling weasel who preys on the weak! I've been told that you were once a warrior! THEN WHY DON'T YOU ACT LIKE ONE!" Vejin unleashes another punch to send Chaka deeper underground. Vejin's aura emerges from the hole as a small column of light. Vejin flies back out of the hole: "Hmph…"

Letuce heads over to Vejin and asks him: "Did you kill him?" Vejin smirks after hearing that question: "No. I made sure not to anyway. If this bastard wants to play that game, then I'll have my fun with him." Chaka emerges from the hole with a look of pure bloodlust. At this point, Chaka's skin is nearly full frost demon, leaving the upper corner as the last bit of his humanity. "Why you…I WILL MAKE YOU BLEED! YOUR BLOOD WILL BE MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!" Chaka bellows as he fires an energy wave at full power towards Vejin. Vejin stops the attack with one hand. Chaka was bewildered that he could stop his attack. Vejin took his first step forward with the attack and continued to walk towards Chaka. But, he unleashes a burst of energy from his palm to send the blast back to Chaka: "Hah!" Chaka quickly takes evasive action by sidestepping out of the way. But, this was Vejin's opening to strike! Vejin strikes with a barrage of punches and kicks! He'd then vanish all around Chaka as if there were several copies of him. All the afterimages of Vejin rush in towards Chaka. The afterimages go to strike Chaka, but they all phase through him. Chaka was left dazed and confused at why it didn't go through, until Vejin strikes from below with a nasty uppercut. Chaka's feet have left the ground and Vejin grabs onto him: "How about we go for a ride?" Vejin flies up several thousand feet in the air with Chaka in his hands and throws him even higher.

Vejin sends out a blast up to Chaka. He'd then speed past the blast and Chaka and end up above them. Vejin's hands would emanate a black color before a black ball of ki forms with red electricity. Vejin raises the black ball behind him with one hand. However, Vejin uses more of his power for the black ball to double in size. Chaka would be hit by the first blast and comes cruising up towards Vejin's location.

Vejin shouts: "I've had enough of your games with us! CATASTROPHE BULLET!"

The blast fires directly onto the oncoming Chaka and comes crashing back down to the forest. As Chaka makes his way down, Letuce quickly scoops up Kiki and takes her out of the area to avoid getting killed. Once Chaka and the blast make contact with the ground, a gigantic explosion occurs in the midst of the forest, clearing the entire central area of it. Vejin descends down and waits for the smoke to clear.

Chaka would be on his hands and knees, exhausted, and overloaded from exerting too much power. But, there was still one thing holding him back fully. His humanity. Vejin lands next to the downed Chaka. He'd look down on the freak of nature before his eyes: "Tch…How disgusting. When your plan doesn't go your way, you decide to alter your body beyond recognition and give yourself outlandish augmentations. You should be disgusted at who you are. I'll at least help you in putting you out of your misery." Vejin holds a blast within the palm of his hand, and aims it at Chaka's head.

Chaka coughs up blood and punches the ground. He comes to his senses for a moment: "M…Maybe you're right. I should be disgusted…There's only one thing that's been holding me back from the start…Over the c-course of our battles, I realized my error. My humanity…And thanks to you, I can finally be free from those limits…" Chaka looks back up at Vejin and the final piece of his human skin sheds away. Chaka dawns a devilish grin and flies up in the air to fully complete his transformation. He manifests a purple aura and grows a tail from his lower back. His clothes would shrivel away and scatter into pieces and flow with the wind. Chaka's silhouette can be prominently seen from the moonlight. Chaka has changed from human to an inhuman creature. A member of the Frost Demon race.

Chaka elegantly meets their gaze as he hovers back down with his aura and all. Vejin clenches his fist deeply knowing all too well who Chaka looks like. "Tch…You remind me of that bastard Frieza…" Vejin says as he grits his teeth. Letuce heads into his stance, ready to take action when needed. Oritsu quickly stands in front of his sister to ensure her protection. Oritsu shouts at the newly born frost demon: "Chaka! What have you done!?"

"I no longer wish to be known as Chaka, the human." He proclaimed. "The man known as Chaka was simply weak because he shared traits with that of humanity. I no longer bestow those traits that hold me back. I am now known as..Zero! The ultimate incantation of power!"

As he says this, his aura then flares from his body! The Frost Demon Zero has been born into our world.

The Two Super Saiyans: Ryuko and Saito (#4)

We'd resume our tale with our two Saiyans sat by a fire. "You feel that?" Saito would say, as he looked up in the direction of where Zero had come from. Ryuko would be staring into the flames, nodding. "Yeah." He says. "Do you? There is a difference between sensing and feeling. What is that energy's intent? Is it natural? Malevolent?" Saito would ask, raising a brow towards the younger Saiyan. This question would cause Ryuko to look up from the flames, he hadn't quite gotten a grasp of some of Saito's teachings yet. "I'm..not sure? It feels..unnatural, familiar?" Saito would shake his head. "You're sensing multiple energies, and mixing them together. Focus on the largest source of ki." Ryuko would nod, "Got it." he'd say as he closed his eyes, entering a meditative state as he concentrated hard on the large source of ki. As he did so he'd begin to visualize the source of energy, a dark swirl would begin to take shape and form a figure resembling a humanoid.

Ryuko would snap his eyes open. Saito would give him a faint smile, looking at his expression. "So?" Ryuko would look grim. "It's..dark, tainted. Not pure evil but..corrupted." Saito would nod in agreement. "Have you sensed who else is there?" Ryuko would look in the direction of Chaka. "I think so, B'az and Oritsu?" Saito would clap his hands together. "Correct! Now.." He'd look Ryuko in the eyes. "Do you think they can handle him?" Ryuko would stare at Saito blankly, he was aware that Saito knew the answer but Ryuko himself wasn't so sure. "I..don't..know.." Ryuko would say in a shaky voice. His worry for his friends would begin to take over, he'd place a hand on his own knee.

As Ryuko prepared to stand up, Saito would hold his palm out in front of Ryuko as if to signal for him to halt. Ryuko would glance at Saito, frustrated at his reluctance to jump in to help. "Why?!" Saito would shake his head. "You need to have trust in your friends, not only that but our training's not done, plus I think the others are going to help them." Ryuko would stare at Saito, gritting his teeth. "If you're wrong about this…I'll.." Saito would smirk. "Well rather than sitting around wasting time, why don't we try and squeeze in some training while we have time! There's one last thing I want to show you."
