And here we go, Chapter 3!

Thanks to all of the support from everyone here on FFN and over on A03 for this story, there will be one more reaction chapter before I get back to work on more Green Gaul, MHH, and Mystic Swords :) so look forward to that!

Also of note, it's come to my attention that several of those Youtube channels that take fan fiction stories and dub them with very bad AI-generated voices over really crappy gameplay footage have been springing up lately. And I was informed of two instances where Bearer of the Light and Green Gaul were taken.

I would like to first say that if anyone sees this, PLEASE let me know so I can take the appropriate action. And if people want to listen to bad AI voiceovers of my stories, they can use the FFN app with its built-in voiceovers.

But I do not condone *ANY* one taking my stories and putting them on YouTube to make money. I don't make money off of these, so why should someone half-assing it be able to?

So, only warning. Don't do it. :)

Anyway, review time:

Lord-Azreal: My apologies, the story is on A03 and it is called "Blood of the Moonborn" by Evil Angel (bluedragon88), can't link it, but hope you can find it :)

Jack Redhawke: I will admit, you do make some good points. And admittedly, I have a bias against the shitstain that is Katuski Bakugo due to my own personal life experiences with being suicide baited while growing up. However I would like to point out a few things:

1. By the time people reach 15 years old or just going to start high school, they should know right from wrong, and suicide baiting is clearly a very wrong thing to do. Being in a negative environment or not, it still doesn't excuse him.

2. While true that his peers and teachers encoruged him to the point of having an inflated ego, we honestly don't know much about his home life or if his parents actually did try and curb his negativity. Remember though, they are only two people and it takes a village to raise a child.

3. He isn't so much "figuring things out" but more his own inferiority complex making him try and 'be better' than Midoriya and the others in his class, because he realized he's not the top dog anymore. Like with trying to get Izuku back to UA, he is practically forced to apologize because he knows that they need Izuku for the fight with AFO and Shiggy. It wasn't for actually feeling bad to what he did, because if he truly was remorseful, he would have admitted to everything he did back then was wrong.

But he didn't, and to everyone around them, they think he's apologizing for how he treated Izuku during the beginning of the year, which is still a crappy apology forced out of need, and no desire.

Anyway, onto chapter!

Chapter 3:

CP2: Karma to all things good and bad

"What does he mean by "your and Midoriya's Quirk"?" Aizawa was now glaring hard at the former number one; even if his quirk was still being negated at the moment, Toshinori could still feel the red eyes of his colleague staring into his very soul, making the skeletal man shiver a little in fear.

And here he thought only Gran Torino could frighten him.

And it wasn't just Aizawa who was staring at him; many of the students were also doing so, but thankfully more out of curiosity and confusion. Sadly, it also meant that a few of them were now looking towards his young successor, who was shaking slightly with his gaze still looking towards the blank screen.

"Everyone," Nezu's voice had suddenly said and got everyone's attention, "While I'm sure you would love to ask these two about what our generous host was alluding to, I dare say that if we keep watching, I'm sure we will get some answers, isn't that right, Mr. Grim?"

"In a sense, yes…" Grim said nonchalantly, sighing gently while he looked busy tapping away at what looked like a tablet device before it suddenly disappeared, and the robbed figure looked to the chimera, "Also, hope you're ready for a few questions your way, Mr. 'Principal'... you aren't coming out this unscathed after all."

"Oh? Now I'm even more curious!" Nezu said with a gleam in his beady eyes, and with a clap of his hands, he sat down onto his own special seat to allow for his more diminutive stature, "Let's sit back down, everyone, and continue the show!"

As everyone started to get back into their seats, Aizawa was now looking toward his employer, squinting his eyes at him before looking away and focusing on the screen as it began to light up once more.

He was going to get to the bottom of this.

"So… let me get this straight," Izuku grimaced as he struggled to put on his high school uniform. His screaming session had lasted for a good solid three minutes before the small creature pulled a comically oversized mallet from thin air and bopped him on the head with it. He didn't know what was more strange: the fact that the creature had conjured up a weapon or the fact it didn't hurt, but it made a loud 'squeak' sound when used against his head.

"Both. Both are equally strange." Shoto said with a raised eyebrow, having witnessed the small creature make the hammer in question, and then looked towards Momo, who was looking quite concerned at the moment, "Is something wrong, Yaoyorozu?"

"H-How did it create something out of thin air! T-that's not possible!" The heiress was slowly beginning to freak out a little, considering all the work she had put into her own quirk over the years that such an admittedly adorable creature could just create and then dismantle what would surely be a complex item to make. Quickly looking back towards the robed man sitting by the teachers for an explanation (almost hitting Kyoka with her ponytail from how quickly she had turned), her confused look looked towards the being known as Grim.

But all she got in return was silence before pointing up at the screen as if to indicate that her answers relied on the screen before her. Huffing slightly, she turned back around, her arms crossed over her chest as she kept thinking about how it was possible.

"You are a magical creature called a 'Moogle,' your kind has been around since who knows when, and the reason no one has discovered you is that they haven't been blessed by a giant sentient crystal named 'Hydaelyn,' who just so happens to be a GODDESS! And she chose me to be a, what was it… 'Warrior of Light'?"

"Yep! That's pretty much the gist of it, Kupo," spoke the now-identified Moogle, who was buzzing about and looking over the vast amounts of hero memorabilia, picking up the figurines and dancing around with them much like a small child would. Izuku had asked it not to play with them so many times already that he'd just given up for now, seeing as it wasn't listening to him and was just curious.

Everyone was silent as they listened to the informative but very brief explanation as to what had happened in the previous screening when their green-haired classmate's counterpart had 'transformed' into that knight. Even Izuku was speechless and wasn't writing down anything within the notebook he was provided.

Some of them were even skeptical, given that while many weren't the most spiritual, a miracle such as what happened to the other Izuku seemed a little too coincidental, given the context of what the boy went through previously.

"You know, that seems kinda heartless…" Sero said as he leaned back in his chair; a few of the others looked towards him.

"What do you mean, Sero?" Mineta had asked as he glanced back at the screen and then towards his friend.

"Well, if what the little guy just said is true, which I'm sure it is, then why didn't she just awaken his powers sooner than almost dying several times in a single day? I mean, I get that being a goddess would be a demanding job and all, but if Midoriya is one of her 'chosen', you'd think he'd have some kind of priority to be helped by her."

A few of the students began to mutter to themselves, wondering the same thing as Grim was watching from his chair, his dull blue eyes from within the darkness staring at the future heroes of their world before looking over towards the three teachers who were also looked to be thinking the same thing, and realizing that they may take Hydaelyn's actions as 'dubious' to say the lease, the robed being finally spoke, "'No longer shall man have wings to bear him to paradise, henceforth, he shall walk.' so spoken by a woman who would later become the mother crystal known as Hydaelyn."

Everyone was now staring at Grim, more confusion on their faces as he sighed heavily, "I get that it's confusing, but suffice it to say, there is a lot of context and things that haven't been revealed yet, but as to why Izuku never got his powers before the sludge villain… Well, simply put, he wasn't ready."

"How so?" Shoji had spoken up with his large, muscled arms crossed over his chest.

"It will be explained in much more detail later, but as an example, let's say you fill a glass container with water and overfill it… what would happen?"

"It would overflow?" Kaminari asked, resting himself against his backrest and staring at Grim, who nodded gently.

"Exactly, now what if that water had nowhere to go? What would happen then?" Grim was now reclining in his chair a little as the students began to think about what would happen. However, the one Grim expected to instantly realize what would happen had spoken up only because the green-haired boy found it eerily similar to his own issues with a particular inherited quirk.

"I-It would shatter…"

"Correctamundo, Midoriya! The glass would shatter; now put that context into what would have happened if Izuku's powers manifested when he was a lot younger, in a still developing child's body." Grim watched as everyone slowly began to catch on to what he was saying, watching as all their eyes began to bulge wide and fearful at what such power would do to a small child.

It was then that everyone decided not to talk about that 'what-if' scenario and return to watching the screen.

The high schooler grunted as he fastened the last button of his school jacket. He could barely move as he turned towards his new… companion? "A-and Hydaelyn had to alter my body… why?"

"Well, I don't really know, to be honest, Kupo, though if I had to guess…" The Moogle picked up a more recent photo of Izuku that was taken at the beginning of the third year of high school with his now definitely shorter mother standing beside him.

"It's because you were skinnier than a twig, and some of the jobs you'll get as you grow stronger require some muscle. Not to say that if you slack off, you'll always be in top shape! Working out and maintaining your body would be a good idea, Kupo."

"That's some good advice," Todoroki said as he crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back in his chair, "While this goddess is willing to help out Midoriya a little by improving his mass and musculature, it's something he needs to keep working on and training."

"Wait," Ochako suddenly spoke up, raising an eyebrow, "Did that little creature just mention Midoriya would be getting more powers?"

Everyone soon looked towards her before they had caught up to what the Moogle had just said, and then suddenly looked up towards the border of the movie screen, where the still lit up symbol and word of 'Paladin' shone down on them, and were now wondering what kind of crazy 'jobs' the green-haired man was going to get, and some of them were also drawing some parallels to their own Midoriya and his 'outrageous' quirk that seems to be developing new variations other than super strength and speed, like the 'Black Whip'.

For Izuku, however, he had kept staring at Ochako, wholly flabbergasted as he had Ochako call him by his last name since… Well, forever, honestly. Not since the first time they introduced each other after the assessment tests did she once called him 'Midoriya'...

Hopefully, he can ask her during the break, whenever that will be.

The creature slowly looked over the still struggling boy and then snapped its fingers. Izuku felt his body shiver slightly as the clothes seemed to expand and conform better to his body. The green-haired boy sighed in relief and thanked it, but then remembered one crucial detail he had missed and blushed gently, "I-I'm sorry, but I didn't get your name in all the explanations."

The Moogle stared at the boy for a definite few moments; the silence in the room grew heavy for some reason before the creature simply smiled and bowed, "That's alright, Kupo! Greetings Izuku Midoriya, my name is Mog!"

"Awww! That is such an adorable name!" Toru said with a happy glee to her voice.

"Eeeh… you'll get tired of Moogle naming conventions soon enough." Grim spoke up, "Usually, it's some sort of variation where it always starts with 'Mog'."

Izuku had hoped that today would be a much more relaxing day at school than yesterday's 'disaster,' and thankfully, that was the case for the most part. What wasn't easier was that he could hear whispers throughout the day, which made him very self-conscious. He was used to being outright ignored and left in the background with most of the students and teachers, being able to avoid being bullied about his quirkless status most days unless it was Bakugo, who usually kept hunting him down day in and out to make sure he "remembered his place."

A few grumbles came out of some of the students when it was mentioned about what Bakugo had done to that world's Midoriya, even more so thinking that their own version of the blonde would stoop so low, given the way he was acting at the beginning of the year.

The whispers and comments were worse during gym class as the school's uniform had clung tightly to his body; he was red as a tomato from overhearing some of the things being said but sighed internally once he heard the phrase 'If only he wasn't quirkless' after every positive comment, especially from the girls who were eyeing him up.

Like it was his fault that genetics had screwed him over, making him an oddity amongst humans with superpowers. Just because he couldn't change his eye color at a whim or be a salty douchebag with a garbage personality that could cause explosions more beneficial to a terrorist than a future hero.

Izuku's train of thought halted abruptly as he was sitting in the last class of the day, eyes wide. 'Where did that come from?'

"Geezus, those gym clothes didn't leave much to the imagination…" Sero said with a soft chuckle, along with a few of the other boys, though clearly missing how some of the girls in their class were keeping quiet about it, either from blushing or upset at how those other girls were basically belittling Midoriya because of his quirklessness. However, when the little mini-rant popped up, everyone looked confused, including Izuku, and even the still 'muted' Bakugo could only raise an eyebrow at that.

"While I could understand some resentment towards Bakugo, you don't honestly think like that with everyone, do you, Midoriya?" Tokoyami asked, his bird eyes staring at his classmate, who was shaking his head back and forth.

"N-noo, even if I didn't like someone or they are an enemy, I would never say or think something like that about someone or their quirk." Izuku then looked back to the screen, his brows furrowed as he began to write into the notebook provided to him earlier and jot down something on a new page. Tokoyami merely leaned back into his chair and squinted his eyes at the screen.

"Such revelry…"

But before he could even begin to deduce that odd bit of thought, the intercom squawked loudly and called him to the principal's office. 'Now what?' he thought as he quickly collected his things, tossed his bag over his shoulder, and headed towards what would likely be yet another reason to hate this school.

When Izuku entered the principal's office, he was stunned to see the deflated All Might sitting across the desk. The man introduced himself as Toshinori Yagi, the secretary of All Might. He had come by to return his student ID, which he must have dropped after tossing his bag at the slide villain's eye. Izuku had blushed in embarrassment and thanked him, but as he reached to take it, the principal cleared his throat and asked for the card.

"That's… not a good sign." Kyoka had spoken up, her eyes squinting gently as she leaned back into her chair, and her jacks were lifted in the air as if to strike something or someone.

Toshinori looked at the portly principal with a raised brow but slowly did as he was asked, looking back toward the equally confused teenager. The principal thanked him for his time and asked the skeletal man to leave both of them; they needed to discuss something privately. Toshinori gave one last look to Izuku before stepping out of the room and closing the door softly behind him; he cupped his ear to the door to listen in, and what happened next truly shocked him.

"YOU'RE EXPELLING ME?!" shouted Izuku as he rose from his chair, the piece of furniture toppling to the ground from how quick the teenager had leaped up. The boy's green eyes were wide, a disbelieving gaze directed at the nonplussed expression of the man before him, still holding onto his student ID.

"WHAT?!" everyone shouted, the shock on their faces, especially Izuku, whose face had only grown pale. While he hadn't gotten any reprimands during his schooling at Aldera, But to be expelled? Why?

"Of course. You broke the law by running past a police line and engaged in vigilante activities."

"B-but the heroes were doing nothing! They were waiting for another hero to show up with the right quirk, and Ka-Bakugo could've been killed!"

The principal leaned back in his chair, creaking under his weight, "Be that as it may, if it was leaked that you were a student at our school, then it would look bad on all of us."

Izuku stared at the man for a few solid minutes. Slowly, the shocked look on his face shifted into a deep frown. The teenager growled low in his throat as he spoke, "This, just to protect your 'star pupil.' Having it be known that a strong quirk user needed help from someone would damage his reputation, and thus the school's own."

"NOT just from anyone, brat." scowled the portly man as he stared back at the still frowning teenager, "The fact is that you, the quirkless runt that keeps sullying our grounds with your presence here and showing up Bakugo at every turn, is the problem here," he spat out, but the boy never backed down.

"How is it my fault? That's called doing my best, even if the tests I get back are marked lower to make Bakugo look better!" growled out Izuku again, his hands clenched into fists as he continued, "Every black mark on my file was because Bakugo kept bullying me and starting fights, and I had the "gaul" to defend myself."

"What the hell?! He can't do that!" Mina shouted, slamming her hands on the backrest in front of her, wishing she had her acid right now to melt the stupid fat idiot who was targeting one of her classmates, "That's discrimination!"

"To falsify school records! How deplorable!" Tenya spoke up, standing up and chopping the air as he did so, blocking those behind him as the class president started to recite all the law violations and their possible penalties. While many of the students were voicing their own complaints, the present UA school staff were fuming silently, though one blonde, in particular, had begun to literally steam as if barely holding back the pure rage of what that world's version of his successor was going through.

The portly man slammed his fist onto the desk, startling the boy, "Enough! As of this moment, you are not welcome at this school anymore, nor will you be able to slander any of our students once I get the police involved."

Izuku froze, the hatred in his core dissipating into fear, "T-the P-Police?"

The principal grinned darkly, something akin to Izuku's memory of the sludge villain from the previous night. "Of course! You fled a crime scene after your little stunt when that knight showed up, adding to the charge of attempted vigilantism. A nice detention cell is perfect for a freak like you." He chuckled as he lifted the phone receiver. "You won't be a problem for anyone anymore."

The complaints soon grew more hectic; some, like Kirishima, were yelling at the screen while Izuku himself was just staring hard at the screen now, barely able to breathe as Ochako, on his right side, was trying her best to rouse him from his stupor. As the chaos began to grow more and more, one observant frog girl looked to the person to her left, who seemed to be oddly quiet and calm, "Kero, aren't you upset by any of this Todoroki?"

"Hmm?" the dual-colored-haired teenager said as his gaze looked towards Tsuyu, "Oh, absolutely livid. To be quite honest, if I had my quirk right now, half of the seats would be on fire, while the other side would be encased in ice… if I had truly let it get to me; however, I know everything will be alright."

"How do you figure?"

"Because of who is listening on the other side of the door," Todoroki said in his usual monotone way as if stating the absolute truth to his words while everyone diverted their gazes towards the boy, becoming quiet as they suddenly realized how right the fire and ice quirk user was. Izuku himself had snapped out of that dark place after being reminded of who his friend was referring to, breaking him out of his depressive and worrisome shell into one of pure happiness, waiting for what was to come next.

"HE IS NOT THE PROBLEM!" a voice boomed as the door to the office slammed open, embedding it into the wall with cracks splitting the drywall; the principal and Izuku twisted in that direction. One with a look of pure horror and the other respectfully with joy and hope, as the number one hero in Japan, All Might, strode in. The giant man turned his head towards the small, portly principal as the hero's voice boomed, a scowl on his lips. "BECAUSE I AM HERE, AND NOW YOUR PROBLEM IS ME."

The theater erupted into a mighty roar of cheers, seeing the number one hero basically coming into the small room as the force of nature they all knew him as ready to take down the villain and protect their green-haired classmate's counterpart from the villainous plan. No one was happier than Izuku, who was now beaming a bright smile and cheering along with his friends, acting as the pure fanboy he was known for, before he suddenly blushed and quieted down, causing everyone to laugh at seeing Izuku act as they would expect him too.

The teachers were watching their students interact with one another, and while Toshinori was smiling proudly at Izuku and his antics when it came to heroes, Aizawa and Nezu were merely watching the students before the small chimera spoke up, "It seems we have some work to do once we get back, Shouta."

A gruff sound of agreement came from the tired-looking man, the lower part of his face covered by his scarf as he soon turned his attention to Bakugo, who was now leaning back in his chair within the box, almost like he was pouting as Aizawa turned towards Grim, "I have to ask, but how long is he going to be in there?"

"Until the first break, then he can be let out… if he acts up again, he goes back into the box… maybe with a few rabid raccoons next time." The robed figure said, making the underground hero stare hard at him while Toshinori nearly choked in shock at the suggestion from Grim.

"Now, I'm sure there shouldn't be a need for that after we have a conversation with him during the break." The principal said as he chuckled gently as if to pass off Grim's comment as a mere joke.

"... Fine, and I'll make sure you can have a small room to talk to him; to be fair, it wasn't the first idea to pop into my head to deal with Bakugo, but it wouldn't work, sadly," Grim said with a sigh as he leaned back into the chair once more.

"And why is that?" asked Toshinori, curious as to what the first idea on how to 'deal' with young Bakugo. The robed figure looked towards the former number one, who merely spat out blood in shock from how the man responded.

"It would ruin a perfect wood chipper."

"Thank you again, All Might," Izuku murmured gently from where he sat beside the now skeletal man in a dumpy pick-up truck. While the man was keeping his eyes on the road, he smiled as the boy continued, "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't stuck around."

"Think nothing of it, Young Midoriya! And you can call me Toshinori Yagi in this form. Best not to give out my alter ego, right?" A quick glance and a chuckle came from the pro hero in disguise as Izuku smirked.

"Y-yes, Mr. Yagi… and I'm sorry to ask, but where are we going, exactly? N-Not that I'm complaining or distrustful of you!" the boy stuttered with an embarrassed tone of voice, "B-But, I'm still trying to reel in the fact that I don't have a high school to go to. It's close to the end of the school year, so I will have to get into another one next year. Then mom is going to worry moreandthestresswontbegoodforher—" At this point, Izuku was hyperventilating while muttering, usually a deadly mix for the eighteen-year-old or anyone in general for that matter. Toshinori pulled over to the side of the road as quickly and safely as he could, turning to the teenager and rubbing his back.

"You know, I have been curious about something…" Tenya said with his hand on his chin and in deep thought before looking towards Midoriya with a stern look on his face, "I know when you mutter, it's just to properly process your thoughts, correct?"

"Um, yeah… for the most part." Midoriya answered, tilting his head in curiosity before his anxiety took over once again, and he began to panic a little, "W-why? I know it can be creepy and-"

"It's not that, though I will admit, having heard some of your thoughts, the way you can dissect a person's quirk can be a little… well… well, not creepy in the least just-"

"What I think he means to say, Midoriya." Todoroki interrupted, catching both of his classmates' attention and those around them, "Is that while some people can be put off by your observations, it doesn't mean they aren't any less important, nor are they not impressive."

"Y-Yes, exactly… Thank you, Todoroki." Iida said while clearing his throat, then pushed up his glasses, "But that isn't what has my curiosity."

"Oh? Then what is it, Iida?" Ochako spoke up as she looked from behind Izuku.

"I was curious to know how long you have possibly gone while you mutter. You usually stop due to some… unpleasant people." Most of the class couldn't help but turn their gaze toward Bakugo, who growled silently from within his 'prison' before looking back to Midoriya and Iida to hear the green-haired student's answer.

"To be honest, I don't even know myself since I tend to just… ignore everything around me then. If I had to guess, maybe five or ten minutes straight? Though I think I've gone on longer, and my mom would be the only one to truly know." Izuku said while now leaning against his chair and holding his chin, "But I can honestly say I never passed out from it."

"Breath slow and deep, Midoriya... It will be alright." He smiled softly as the boy began to calm himself and breathe easier. "And do not worry about your schooling; everything has already been taken care of!"

"Of course it is…" Aizawa said as he slowly turned towards Nezu, who seemed to be smiling brightly, "Why do I have a feeling you are somehow a part of this?"

"Why, I don't have the faintest idea myself, Shouta." The diminutive chimera said before chuckling a little, doing his best to not have it become a cackle, "But, I will admit I wish to see what sort of relationship I will have with Mr. Midoriya in this sort of setting… who knows? Maybe I could pick up a few pointers on how to help our version grow during his time at our school."

Aizawa could only look on in horror at the principal, knowing full well how much worse the Problem Child was going to become if Nezu got his tiny paws on him.

"W-What?! How?" Izuku asked with a confused tone that caused Toshinori to chuckle loudly. Something the boy took note of in the back of his mind was that he could still tell it was All Might, even in such a state.

"That… is a surprise!" He spoke loudly before turning back to his steering wheel and starting the truck once again. The remaining journey was silent between the two, which honestly didn't surprise the pro hero. All Might, his idol, had crushed his dreams. Toshinori had spent most of the previous night re-thinking what the teenager beside him had asked; the actions that followed, while dangerous, embodied what being a hero had meant to Toshinori. What struck him as odd was the fact that he thought he was quirkless.

While many of the students were silently watching and growing more concerned with how Izuku was starting to tear up while still staring at the screen, Toshinori kept quiet and pondered to himself much like his counterpart was, his arms resting on the rests of the seat as he too began to go deep into his own thoughts, once again, reminded how heroic his Midoriya was during that time, as well as how often he continued to prove himself, despite all the odds thrown against him.

Admittedly, and he would freely say this now, he should have had Torino brought in much earlier on in Izuku's training. Toshinori knew he wasn't the best teacher, given how much of that fact had been drilled into him throughout the year, but it was his own selfish pride ( and fear of the man) that made him hesitate, thinking that he could be just as good as a mentor as both Nana and Torino were to him.

The blonde former hero looked somber for a moment, wondering what his predecessor would think of the way he was training the boy.

Had the boy been lied to all his life? Had Midoriya lied to him? Or did this eighteen-year-old boy develop a quirk at the last minute to save himself? That final thought had confused the man immensely since most 'late bloomers' usually cropped up at the age of eight or nine, not eighteen!

And what a quirk that was! It was like he'd already mastered it with how he kept expertly slamming the shield into the villain's weak point while keeping the focus on him! It was like the boy had trained for decades with the skill he displayed. Another thought brought the hero to glance at the boy beside him.

When did the boy go from a twig to an Adonis?

"Um, Mr. Grim?" Izuku called out, gaining the attention of the robed storyteller, who turned his head towards the boy, "How am I so good with a weapon I never used before?"

"It will be further explained as we go along into the story. However, I can say that your skills while you are those different 'forms', for lack of a better term, come from generations of experiences from others who welded the same powers you do." The weaver crossed his arms and shifted his body to get more comfy, "Think of it like someone writing a page of a book and then handing it off to another person for them to add to it, but still keeping the original part intact, slowly building as time passes with each new person writing into it."

"But it has to stop at some point, right?" Kirishima said with a raised eyebrow, "I mean, using the book example, there is an end to it."

"Under normal circumstances, yes, you would be correct." Grim said while looking at the red-headed student, "But while not giving anything away right now… sometimes that scenario is simply not a possibility."

"Huh?"

"As I said, it will be explained later… " And with that, Grim turned his attention back to the screen, quieting himself down and ignoring the confused look by Kirishima and a few others before they, too, looked back to the screen.

Izuku could hardly breathe since the truck pulled up to UA's front entrance to the university of his dreams. Somehow, they hadn't turned away his application into the hero course despite his quirkless status. While that alone filled the boy with hope, the question remained as Toshinori (now buffed up) was escorting him down the university's vacant halls.

'Why was he here now?'

His attention was brought back from his thoughts as the blonde knocked on a door, and a soft 'come' could be heard past it. Once the door opened, All Might watched as the teenager walked in and sat down on one of the two chairs before a large desk with an equally large chair behind it. He "deflated" once the door was shut and sat in the chair beside Izuku.

"You know, UA as a university doesn't look all that different." Sero said while resting his chin on his hand, "But I can guess why, with it being a place to train heroes."

The room was silent for a few moments before the oversized chair in front of them swung around, and sitting upon it was a small creature. It had white fur similar to Mog's and beady black eyes, one of which had a nasty scar that looked deep. The strange creature lifted its paws into the air and finally spoke.

"Am I a bear? A mouse? Or a dog? More importantly, I'm the dean!"

"Really?" Aizawa first looked towards Nezu and then towards Grim, who was snickering a little, "You actually kept that illogical greeting?"

"I think it's pretty clever, and let's face it, no one knows what sort of creature Nezu is where I'm from as well; at best, most think he's a chimera of sorts," Grim said with a shrug of his shoulders, which only caused Nezu to cackle loudly.

"It's not the first time I've heard that comparison, and it's still far off." The principal calmed himself down before sitting up in his seat, "And it's good to see that I am still in charge of UA."

"As if I'd have anyone else take that away from you, but there were other reasons."

"Oh! Well, I cannot wait to see those reasons then!" Nezu gave a thumbs up to Grim, who also did the same; all the while, Toshinori was chuckling a little from the antics of his boss and the robed individual while Aizawa sighed heavily.

"D-Dean Nezu?!" exclaimed Izuku, who nearly jumped from the chair, causing both adults to laugh loudly at the boy's antics. Once somewhat calmed down, Izuku stuttered out, "H-Hello Dean N-Nezu. I-it's a pleasure to m-m-meet you."

"And it is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Midoriya! I must say you gave everyone quite a shock with the display of your… 'quirk' yesterday." replied Nezu. The pause in his sentence made the green-haired boy raise an eyebrow before starting to panic. Did the Dean already know?

That had made everyone pause in their thoughts; from the way that Nezu had spoken, it was likely he already knew that Midoriya's powers weren't a quirk at all. And while many of them knew that their principal was quite brilliant, those with more knowledge of heroes attributed that fact to the small mammal's quirk, but it was impossible for this 'Dean' to know the knowledge only given to Izuku mere hours ago, by a mystical creature none the less.

Toshinori was also curious about the pause, sharp blue eyes moving back and forth between the two as Nezu continued, "Regardless, we are here to discuss with you what will be happening in the coming months leading up to the UA Entrance Exams, but first." The dean looked towards the skeletal man, "I believe Mr. Yagi wishes to speak to you about something."

"Ahem, yes…" the blonde man turned to face Midoriya properly, "Young man, yesterday you had asked if you could be a hero without a quirk… and suffice it to say, I told you no."

The heavy pause persisted, though now everyone was staring at Izuku, who seemed to be slowly curling in on himself from all the attention. It was the soft voice of Ochako beside him as she placed her hand on top of his arm in a comforting way, "You asked him that as well… didn't you?"

It took Izuku a few moments; looking around at his classmates and seeing the worried looks on their faces made him fidget slightly before moving a hand up to scratch his cheek a little, "Ye-yea… yea I did, and like what happened to that Izuku…. I was told 'no' as well."

"B-But! He had a very good reason! Several, in fact, I-I obviously hadn't trained my body for the workload to be a hero then, a-a-and other factors too!" The boy continued to ramble, seeing the looks on his classmates' faces grow a little dark and angry. "W-we had a talk about it after I got into UA, and I forgave him! S-so pleas, it's fine now-"

"Oi! you guys are going to miss the best part, you know!" Grim had called out, now with a bucket of popcorn in his hand and tossing a few kernels into the darkness of his hood with an audible crunching sound, "You can badger him with questions in a moment, but this is important."

Everyone was staring at the hooded figure before turning towards a still, slightly nervous Izuku with a look of pleading in his eyes for his friends to drop whatever they were thinking of doing for the former number one hero's previous mistake. Slowly, everyone in Class 1-A sat back down, which brought a small wave of ease to Izuku.

Izuku's eyes seemed to drift downwards, the painful memories of that conversation on replay along with all of his other self-doubts. Toshinori quickly picked up on the boy's mental anguish and continued, "But yet, you… at the time, a quirkless and timid boy rushed in to save another while the pro heroes, including myself, shamefully watched from the sidelines! I told you that being a hero meant having to put your life on the line to save others, yet I was a hypocrite." Toshinori buffed up suddenly, standing tall with that ever-present smile, looking down upon the still-sitting teenager whose eyes started to tear up.

"If not for your brave actions, I would have remained a pedestrian, but you, young man…" Toshinori pointed to the boy's chest, "With your conviction and actions, you reminded me of my own words, and you inspired me to act!"

Izuku was now crying, the tears dripping down his face not from sadness but from his idol's words and the build-up they were leading to. He bowed his head and clenched his eyes, trying to hold back the soon-to-be oncoming flood. Toshinori beamed at the boy, continuing his speech. "Despite the fact that you have a quirk now, even if that was not the case… Izuku Midoriya, you too can be a hero!"

Izuku fell off his chair, his body curled up as the floodgates opened, and the sobs of the heroic fanboy echoed in the office. However, it wasn't bothering the adults. The actions were that of joy, of validation, something Toshinori noted and would address at a later point in the back of his mind.

While he had his suspicions after hearing the conversation earlier between the principal of Aldera High and the boy, it genuinely hurt the pro hero to see what had been said was true; this boy… this heroic boy had gone through so much in his short life.

A few people began to sniffle as they watched the other Midoriya break down; even Izuku was tearing up as the feeling of deja vu washed over him from seeing his counterpart, and what he was feeling made his heart ache and body feel warm; just like it did back then when his All Might had told him something similar.

The green-haired boy soon felt arms wrapping around him, turning his head to his right and his cheeks going atomic red as Ochako was hugging him, tears running down her rosy cheeks, "You were always going to be a hero… with or without a quirk."

As soon as he heard those words, Izuku himself broke down, feeling more hands and arms wrap him up in a tight hug from all of his friends and classmates, and while he usually would be a blushing and stuttering mess from all the attention (especially from the girls), he knew that no matter what, he had people who were supporting him now, and Izuku would also return the same support back to them as best as he possible could.

Just as Izuku was finally starting to calm down, a sudden realization came over him that caused the boy to stiffen as he remembered what else was said during that time. But he was not quick enough to warn his mentor as the screen. His friends noticed his body stiffen almost in fright, but it was already too late.

He wasn't finished, though, as he cleared his throat to get Izuku's attention once the sobbing started to calm down. "Young Midoriya, I deem you worthy of being my successor. My power is yours to inherit!"

The theater grew quiet once more; Izuku had clenched his eyes shut, waiting for the inevitable as he could feel everyone's gaze on him once more. Once again, it was Ochako who asked the vital question as his emerald eyes soon opened to meet her brown ones, "De-Midoriya… Did… did this happen to you as well? Are you… All Might's successor?"

Turning his gaze from his best friend's eyes, which was really hard to do, Izuku could see everyone else was looking at him with equally stunned looks on their face. He even turned to look at his mentor, who was facing a harsh look from their homeroom teacher.

Looking back to his friends and feeling very anxious once more, Izuku gently rubbed the back of his head, blushing hard as he nervously chuckled.

"S-Surpise?"

Silence filled the room. Izuku's emerald eyes stared at All Might in confusion for a moment before the gravity and meaning behind those words made them widen. There was only one response to such a proclamation.

He fainted.

The blood pack slipped from her fingers as Himiko watched Izuku's counterpart faint after not only being named All Might's successor but also 'inheriting' his power? She blinked, and as she reached down to pick up the empty blood pack, she thought about how it all made sense now as to why Shiggy and the 'Potato Head' seemed to have hate boners when it came to Izuku.

Sure, Shigaraki hated All Might with all of his passion, something she still couldn't figure out as to why, but then his focus began to shift more towards Izuku, but now it all made sense.

Izuku was All Might's successor.

As she watched the chaos unfold from her hidden perch within the theater, she quickly spun around when the door to her room opened, and her golden eyes went wide in fright as before her was another robed individual, but it was not Mr. Grim.

No, this one had a gray robe with some lovely cherry red accents along the edges; their face was covered in darkness, similar to the first person that had brought her here, but in their hands looked to be a tablet of some kind. Quickly moving into a fighting stance and pulling out a toy knife that looked shockingly real. (Grim had taken away all of her real knives before bringing everyone from UA here.) "Stay back!"

"Hey, I'm not here to harm you." The person spoke, raising his hands up in surrender, "I got the heads up from Grim to come by and give you something when the breaks happen since it may be a while before he can bring you down there."

Himiko was staring hard at the newcomer, still pointing the knife at him as she flicked it towards a small table by her chair, "Just leave it there…"

"Sure, sure… don't worry, it's just something else for you to watch while you're cooped up in here during the breaks." The man under the hood said as he moved himself towards the table, gently placing the device on the table surface and then backed out of the door, "Have fun!"

As the door slammed shut, Himiko Toga carefully moved towards the tablet, putting the toy knife down beside it and lifting it up. She quirked her brow in curiosity as she read the title of the movie that was displayed on the screen.

"A Hero Rises?"
