It's early in the morning right now.
Usually during this time of the day, Kirby would be asleep.
And he was. Until now, when he gets abruptly woken up because of his door suddenly being knocked on. He gets immensely startled as he wakes up.
This isn't a common occurrence. For the most part, people are respectful enough to let Kirby have his beauty sleep in the mornings, as someone would only knock on his door to wake him up this early if there's something very urgent that is worthy of his attention. That does happen, but it doesn't happen often.
So, there must've been something highly important that suddenly just popped up.
Kirby gets up out of bed as he rushes straight to the door, curious as to whatever may be going on that's worthy of his attention.
But as he opens the door, his eyes widen as he's immediately taken aback at who it is that's here.
Ummm... this is perhaps the absolute last person he was expecting it to be.
It's...
... Morpho Knight?!
What is he doing here? What a huge surprise that he's here!
He doesn't have his sword with him, though, implying that this might not be some sort of confrontation. That's good, at least.
"Good morning, Kirby." he says, as he bows.
It admittedly takes a moment for Kirby's shock to fade, as he was quite heavily stunned at first. He wouldn't have expected this guy to show up at his home in, like, a million years.
"Hiiii!" Kirby greets back and waves, after his shock subsided.
Morpho Knight quickly flaps his wing a few times, and then speaks again.
"I know that it may be quite the surprise that I came by. But I've got a special announcement for you."
Kirby becomes stunned again, albeit not as intensely this time.
"Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!" he says. "A special announcement?!"
He really wonders what this 'special announcement' could be. What is it that this guy has to say?
"Indeed." Morpho Knight responds, bowing again and giving his wings another flap. "Because you've made such impeccable heroic efforts in a large number of incidents throughout the years, I've decided to allow you the opportunity to make two wishes that I'll grant for you. Two wishes of anything you want. I believe that you've earned it, after everything you've done for the universe."
That made Kirby delightfully astounded.
Two entire wishes? For free? He didn't even have to fight Morpho Knight to get these two wishes! That's absolutely incredible!
"Two wishes?!" he asks. "Two wishes for anything I want?!"
There's a part of him that almost thinks that this has to be some sort of insane dream... but somehow, it isn't. It's real. This is actually happening.
"Yes." said Morpho Knight, bowing a third time. "I'm aware that I did just inform this to you straight out of the blue, so if you need time to think up two things that you want to make wishes about, that's quite alright. I'll give you time."
Kirby does end up needing time to think up what he wants his two wishes to be. He takes a few moments to think.
Ultimately, he decides he won't have the wishes be things for himself. He... doesn't really need anything. He's fairly content with his life right now. He could always use a wonderful fancy snack, but it's not like he needs to be given the chance to make wishes to get that. Besides, this feels way too big of an opportunity, and it'd feel like a waste to spend those two wishes on just food.
So, with that in mind, Kirby thinks about his friends, and tries to think about what wishes he could make based on what his friends could want.
Could Bandana Waddle Dee use anything? King Dedede? Ehhh... the last time Kirby saw them, they both seemed content enough with their lives as well, so maybe different friends could use things.
Meta Knight? The idea of some upgraded Halberd sounds cool, but Kirby goes over thinking the rest of his friends first before considering that to be one of his wishes.
The animal friends... are also very content beings that don't really seem to need much, so probably not them. Could Adeleine use more painting equipment? Perhaps a big crystal gift for Ribbon? Might Daroach like more treasure? A new fancy hat for Marx?
Maybe something for Magolor to put in his amusement park? Well, he seems happy enough as is, so maybe think up other stuff first.
Oh... wait. Kirby just thought of the perfect idea to make one of his wishes about. Heck... a moment later, he even thinks up his second wish, too!
It's been several moments since Morpho Knight started allowing Kirby time to think up his wishes. But now, it looks like he's got an idea of what he wants.
"I thought up my two wishes now!" Kirby exclaims.
"Great!" said Morpho Knight. "Let's hear it. What shall your two wishes be?"
Here he goes.
He believes these two wishes deserve to happen.
"Wish one is bring Sectonia back in her right mind! Wish two is bring Haltmann back in his right mind, too! What they were both like before they went bad!"
As soon as he thought about Taranza, it made him come up with that wish. The same goes for when he thought about Susie. Kirby knows full well that these two have been long grieving the ones they lost. There were many times where he wishes he could've saved Queen Sectonia and Max Profitt Haltmann, and considered their deaths to be tragic. Morpho Knight did say he could make any wish he wants, and if this is finally the chance to bring those two people back, then it's more than worth spending his wishes on that!
Morpho Knight gets taken aback, indicating that he wasn't expecting Kirby to make these kinds of wishes.
He then lets out a sigh, as Kirby is quick to notice.
Uh oh. The sigh... didn't exactly seem like a great sign, did it?
"Wait, can those wishes not happen?" Kirby asks worryingly.
A moment later, Morpho Knight shook his head to reassure himself and looked at Kirby again.
"My apologies for the wait." he says, as he then looks away again. "Just give me another moment."
"Ok..." said Kirby, but the worry on his face isn't gone. Did he make wishes for things that aren't possible?
Can they be brought back in their corruption-free states at all? Or is it something that is beyond Morpho Knight's capabilities?
He'll have to find out in just a little bit. He really hopes it can happen, though.
After the requested moment, Morpho Knight then returns to facing Kirby, beginning his words.
"To not beat around the bush here, your wishes are doable." he says, as he then bows.
Kirby's expression makes a positive shift. He makes a few happy claps.
They can be brought back! Yay! Yes!
"Please note, though, that I normally do not bring people back from the dead." Morpho Knight continues, pressing his palms together. "It's not something I am willing to do most of the time. People die, it happens. Death is inevitable for everyone. However, I can make a sole exception and revive those two people that you wish to be brought back. I have acknowledgement of those two souls in the afterlife. I grant your two wishes!"
After that response, Kirby becomes very happy. A smile immediately appears on his face.
"Yaaay! Yay, yay, yay!" he says gleefully, as he hops in excitement.
This is... this is so wonderful. Taranza can finally be able to see his queen again. Susie can finally be able to see her dad again.
Perhaps things could maybe, finally be fixed in those two situations!
Morpho Knight flaps his wings a couple of times.
"It sounds like you have some sort of affiliation with the people that those two souls have left behind." he says.
"Yes, yes! They're my friends!" Kirby responds. "Taranza misses his queen. And Susie has been upset about her dad being gone. They just wanted them back to what they were. I think they deserve to have them back. I want my friends to be happy!"
"How thoughtful of you to wish that." said Morpho Knight. "I can bring those two individuals that you requested back to life. However, I need you to do me a favor."
Kirby takes a moment to calm down from the brief excitement.
"What is it?" he asks.
"Please go fetch those two friends of yours." Morpho Knight says. "I'm going to head to the Divine Terminus, and that's where I'll revive those two souls. That's where I'll want you to bring their loved ones to. The reunions will happen over there. It's alright if it takes a bit of time to get them to come with you. I'll be around at the Divine Terminus for the rest of the day, so you have plenty of time to gather them to come over there."
At that, Kirby gives a determined nod. That's nothing he can't handle.
"I'll do that!" he says.
Morpho Knight gives another bow, seemingly his last one, before he speaks again.
"Excellent. I'll be taking my leave from here now. This will be a big moment, I'm sure. And truthfully, I don't intend to revive anyone again after this. I'll admit that your wishes weren't what I expected, but I can make them a reality. Those two friends that you have should be in for quite the surprise when you let them know about this. Anyways, I'm out. See you there at the Divine Terminus."
He then makes a shining bright light around him as he transforms back into a butterfly, and flies off into the sky.
Kirby is so happy. He's so excited about what's going to happen today. Two tragedies that could finally be resolved. Tragedies that Kirby believed didn't deserve to occur in the first place.
Overall, the deaths of Sectonia and Haltmann made him very sad and had left a tragic impression on him. He had observed the grief that Taranza and Susie have had over those deaths, and it's made him feel horrible. He befriended them shortly after their incidents respectively, and got them to meet his prior friends before them as he believed that they deserved to have friends after what happened to them.
Their losses made him especially sad when they talked to him about the circumstances that led to those events. How Sectonia used to be a spider like Taranza is, but was turned into that giant tyrannical wasp because of a dimensional mirror that corrupted her. How Susie was ripped away from her dad and banished to Another Dimension at a young age, and that he forgot about her existence when she finally came back to him. Susie had explained that Haltmann started out as a loving dad and didn't start out as a planet mechanizer, and was apparently conditioned by Star Dream into being one since she was suspicious that the machine had something to do with causing him to forget about her.
He learned that Sectonia and Haltmann didn't start out as bad people and became worse due to circumstances. Truthfully, they didn't deserve to die.
It broke Kirby's heart when he learned that Taranza and Sectonia were once just happy friends together, but fell apart after what the mirror did to Sectonia, and then Taranza could never be happy with her again. It broke Kirby's heart when he learned that Susie and her dad were once a happy little family, but their relationship has been destroyed for a very long time before Haltmann died, and then Susie could never be able to make up with him.
Taranza and Susie have both made Kirby really sad. He's given them both a lot of hugs just to try to help provide some sort of comfort. He knew that he couldn't have possibly fixed all their woes if he tried, but he cared enough to act as support for them and be there for them sometimes. He has gone out of their way to visit be company for them from time to time, because he's grown to really care about them.
Both have really appreciated him for it. Of course, he didn't get off to a great start with either of them, but he was more than willing to forgive them for what they did, and they accepted him for his kindness as they grieved over what they lost. Kirby befriending them did at least help them out just a little bit, so they at least know that they're cared about. They do also have some other friends, such as Magolor who is a close friend for them both.
Kirby himself felt partially responsible for Sectonia's and Haltmann's deaths. He genuinely believed he could have saved them, but failed. Taranza and Susie weren't mad at him, though, as they were rather upset at themselves because they have felt more responsible for those deaths than he was. When other people had noticed Kirby's sorrow over those two deaths, they comforted him and told him that he did the best he could.
Those two tragedies caused Kirby to make a commitment to not let anymore tragedies happen. It made him fight extra hard to save people when they were on the brink. It's what motivated him to go out of his way to save Hyness and the Mage Sisters when they were left stuck and hurt in Another Dimension, and it's what motivated him to go out of his way to save Leongar when Clawroline asked him to.
Kirby has been very happy and proud of himself for saving Hyness so he and the Mage Sisters can be happy, as well as saving Leongar so he and the Beast Pack can be happy. He's glad about how those two situations turned out. However, while it did make him happy to save everyone in those instances, that still did not end the sorrow he had over the tragedies involving Sectonia and Haltmann.
But now? When it looks like they can be brought back to life thanks to Morpho Knight? Perhaps the two miracles that were lost can finally become!
If Morpho Knight is indeed capable of reviving Sectonia and Haltmann back to their uncorrupted states as requested, it'd mean that Kirby could finally get the chance to meet their true selves. But that's not even the main reason why he made those wishes. No. The wishes he made were not about him.
Ultimately, Kirby is doing this for both Taranza and Susie. He wants them to be happy. They deserve to see their loved ones again, and it looks like they finally will. Kirby meeting the true states of Sectonia and Haltmann is just a bonus, as the main goal is to have them reunite with the ones that mourned them.
These wishes are much more worthwhile than anything Kirby could've had for himself. Again, he's fairly content with his own life as he doesn't really need anything, at least not anything big enough to warrant granting big wishes to. But he knows that a couple of his friends could use something more than he does, and he's glad to be doing this for them.
It's time to get this going! Considering that the homes of Taranza and Susie are quite far out from Kirby's home, it'd obviously be best that he gets a hold of a warp star to fly to them.
Kirby grabs the star phone from under his bed to summon a warp star. Moments later when a warp star arrives, he then leaves his house to hop on the warp star.
As he rides on the warp star, he begins to fly off with the intention of going to both Taranza's and Susie's places, letting them know about the wishes he made to Morpho Knight, and that he's bringing those two with him to the Divine Terminus.
Today is going to be a day of the finding of two long lost miracles.
