I do not own Sailor Moon, but I do love the characters.
Let me introduce myself; I am not a writer, just trying this out. My first one was written quite some time ago and I am currently rewriting it. Usually, my stories are always based on the same fake world that I have created. The same rules do not apply, however, so if something is done a certain way in our world, it will not be the same in this story. However, I do hope you enjoy it.
Rated R for mature content and some trigger warnings that I will add to the later chapter as they happen.
Serena is a college student dating Andrew, who also happens to be best friends and roommates with Darien. Andrew and Darien both come from a wealthy family. Andrew works at his family's steel company and Darien is working with his father to train to become the CEO of a multi-corporation business. What happens when Darien has a secret that could ruin everyone's lives?
Chapter 1 The Roomies
Andrew was sitting on the large sofa in the living room of his luxurious apartment watching the highlights of the upcoming game on the flat-screen TV when his phone started to buzz. "Hey, I'm running late. Don't start the game without me, I'll be there soon," it said. It was a text message from his best friend of 12 years and roommate of three. Andrew couldn't help but chuckle.
For someone who was working with their father to be the CEO to run their own family business one day and who attended private school, you would understand why he was always late because he never had to answer to anyone. Darien never really took things seriously not like Andrew. The only thing Darien took seriously were people falling to his feet the amount of women he's gotten into bed and partying. Even though Andrew felt that Darien was arrogant and egotistical he loved his best friend and trusted him the most out of anyone in his life.
Andrew got up and walked over to the mirror to check his appearance. He wanted to look his best today even though that didn't take much work. He was a very attractive young man, 22 years old with blonde hair and light green eyes. Andrew was 6'2" and was light in complexion, with an athletic build thanks to high school sports.
Yes even though Andrew was a very good-looking man, he never let any of this get to his head. Andrew was wearing a gold-colored silk button-up shirt with the first two buttons opened, showing just a little of his chest, and black suit pants. Andrew glanced at his watch trying to ease the nervous energy he was feeling. To take his mind off of things he thought of food "Now would be the perfect time to get the food started" he thought to himself, as Andrew walked to the kitchen he looked out the window of his luxurious apartment, he lived on the top floor in the penthouse which had massive windows that reached from the ceiling to the floor, Andrew noticed the storm clouds forming in the sky.
Andrew looked around at the penthouse he was living in and immediately thought how extremely grateful he was that he had so much at his fingertips he just thought it was too much. What did two guys in their early twenties need with a three-floor penthouse with its gym, indoor swimming pool and outdoor, personal chefs maids, and housekeepers, a sauna a whole theater, and a basketball court? He felt slightly embarrassed to invite anyone over and thought about his current situation and thought of canceling. Even though Andrew came from a family of money his family was the owner of a steel industry called Smiths Steels Corporation where he was expected to take over he never cared for being too "showy" he was a modest person or so he would like to think, he chose to work for a living and was very serious about his life.
He was currently a TA at the college Shields University where he was studying to be a school administrator himself. His true passion wasn't to walk in his forefather's footsteps he loved teaching and kids. Even though Andrew had the connections in life to get this role easily, he decided he would get this position on his merit. Andrew felt that just because he had the advantages of life, didn't mean he should use them, he didn't want the handouts of his famous name. Andrew snapped out of his reverie, today was getting the best of him and he didn't understand why.
Andrew started on the food he had pulled out of the freezer and decided on making hot wings since it was the start of the football season, it was his and his roommate's favorite sport after all. Andrew started thinking about the times he played high school football with Darien, That was actually how he and Darien met. Darien's family owned most of everything in town, and their private high school was one of them. Andrew got a kick out of how the Shields would drag their son and daughter Rei to all these events in the city like it was some type of way to keep them in power and liked throughout the community.
Everyone threw themselves at their feet, especially since they were a family that got the majority of everything they wanted, their good model looks the whole family was gorgeous and that was truly a modest way to describe them, the constant traveling and the endless amount of money, who wouldn't want to be a part of their life. The Shields had to be the richest family in the country and their attitudes towards everyone else made sure to remind everyone else in town let alone the world if they could, know it.
Darien was the opposite of Andrew, Darien flaunted his money (hence the penthouse) the cars he drove the women he slept around with, he couldn't care less about taking over his family company and his future he was Darien Shields people worked for him, not the other way around. Darien was the same age as Andrew just younger by a few months which so happened to be coming up soon. Darien was 6'3" slim built six pack black hair dark blue eyes and very handsome as well. Everywhere they went the ladies would just flock to them and fawn over their good looks and money. Andrew never entertained them he hated the attention but that's what you get for hanging with Darien's constant spotlight. Darien however enjoyed the sight of women bowing down begging him to take them home, which he usually would.
Darien enjoyed wearing lots of expensive name-brand clothing and buying cars and jewelry while Andrew could just sit down to a nice book and a movie. Andrew was broken again out of his thoughts and had to chuckle at the thought of how the two even became acquainted let alone best friends turned roommates. Andrew was almost done cooking when his phone buzzed again.
"Hey, are you sure it's okay for me to come over? I don't want to intrude on your guys' night."
Andrew smiled at the text; it was from his girlfriend of 6 months, and he wanted to finally introduce her to Darien.
"Intrude? You're more than welcome here." He texted back.
Andrew quickly responded and then put his phone into his back pocket. This would be perfect timing, his best friend and his girlfriend finally meeting. He wanted their other friends to meet her too but meeting 5 of Sealine's most attractive and rich most sought men may be too much for her he didn't want to run her off. Andrew thought of all of their other friends Jed, Kunz, Neph, and Zoi, all rich and fit right into Darien's perfect lifestyle, but these days Zoi and Jed were spending time with girlfriends. Zoi was dating Ami, his high school sweetheart their personalities matched perfectly even though Zoi liked to hang out and party he also was very smart and so was Ami who wanted to be a doctor one day. And then there was Jed who was dating Darien's younger sister Rei, Darien didn't like the idea much, but he knew deep down Jed would do right by his sister if he didn't want to feel Darien's wrath that is. So that only left Darien and pretty boy Kunz single, but that was something to mention another time.
Soon the elevator bell rang indicating that someone was entering the penthouse. Andrew ran to the elevator thinking his special guest had arrived, Darien soon entered the foyer with grocery bags full of beer, soda, chips, and other things for the game. Andrew smacked his teeth oh Darien it's you. Umm yeah, it's me who else would have the keycard passcode to get up here? Darien noticed the disappointment on Andrew's face. What am I not good enough Darien asked. No no, I just didn't know who you were Andrew answered. Man you're acting weird Darien told Andrew walking past him into the sitting area where the TV sat. Right on time, Darien said as he looked at the large flat-screen TV. As Darien put the bags down, he then flopped down onto their sofa, as one of their maids came in to put the groceries away.
The game was beginning, and the announcers were beginning to call out the stats of the teams as the players loaded onto the field. You better get ready to place your bets now, Darien said, because you know my team is winning. Darien and Andrew always cheered on the different teams each game to keep it interesting; sometimes they'd even include their buddies Jed and the boys, who didn't make it to this game but placed their bets in advance.
"Wow, something smells good," Darien said, holding his nose up in the air, enjoying what the aroma was doing to his senses. Well, it better be I put a lot of thought and effort into this dish, Andrew glared at Darien laughing out loud. Wait you're cooking Darien asked why didn't you just ask the cook Darien asked while he was already laid out on the sofa with his shoes off like he just got off a hard day of work. Well because I wanted this evening to be special. Awe I appreciate it Andrew but I hope you know I love you like a brother. Andrew could only shake his head what was he going to do with this man?
Man, am I tired Darien huffed? Tired from what exactly Andrew responded, it's not like you did any real work today and I'm pretty sure you didn't do your shopping yourself either. Darien shrugged his shoulders well that's what you think but you try bossing people around all day and training to be a CEO of multiple companies can be very exhausting, he retorted and went back to relaxing. Andrew shook his head laughing at his friend.
The game was well into its third quarter and Andrew's team was in the lead by 3 points, but Andrew couldn't celebrate because she still had not shown up yet. Andrew kept glancing at the elevator doors and looking down at his watch. Soon Darien noticed, "Hey, is everything okay? You look like you're expecting something or someone. Did the guys call and decide to come after all Darien asked glancing over at Andrew towards where the elevator would be. Oh no, no that's not it at all Andrew was stumbling over his words, I'm just lost in thought," he said. "Everything is okay."
Fifteen minutes later, there was a call from the front desk. Andrew jumped up so fast that he almost tripped over the glass table. Darien burst out laughing. "Yooo, you are not okay! You goofball are you alright!" Andrew got up to dust off his imaginary dust from his clothes and replied with a hardy har har very funny while sticking up his middle finger. Andrew answered the phone "Shields and Smiths residence" Andrew responded to the unknown person on the phone yes send them up immediately he said with a huge grin on his face.
Soon Andrew looked all giddy like a middle school girl and Darien couldn't help but look perplexed as his friend went racing to their private elevator of their penthouse. Darien got up to follow a few steps behind him and then the elevator doors opened. Darien did his best to try to stay out of sight trying to get a look at who had Andrew in such a chokehold. A petite blonde walked in soaking wet with her hair in a ponytail that reached to her lower back, baby blue eyes, small kissable pink lips, standing about five feet two inches tall. Her clothes hung to her figure she was drenched. Darien noticed her outfit he didn't recognize any of the clothes she was wearing her shoes were very old-looking as well. She looked like she was so tiny, especially standing next to Andrew; it was as if she were a little porcelain doll she was just so….. so … beautiful.
I apologize for being late, you won't believe the weather out there!
Well, that's where I'm going to end this chapter. Let me know how I'm doing so far, what I can improve on, what I need to put in, and what needs to be taken out. I look forward to your reviews. Thank you.
