Navia needed confirmation. She wants a confirmation. She wants to hear it say from his mouth. If he considers her as his partner.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" Aether answered, as he helped her get on her feet.

That's what all she needed to hear from him. With all the tragedies that happened in her life, she always wonders if she too can have her happiness. Her mother died giving birth to her, her father died in an unjustly way to save her, and now, Melus and Silver too, who died evacuating the members to the Spina de Rosula.

Those two had been with her since she was a baby. Taking care of her whenever her father was doing business with the organization. And now, they're gone, dissolved by the primordial sea, leaving her all alone.

The nights she spent without the two, her guilty conscious eating her to the point she cried herself to sleep. It got so bad that she had recurring nightmares of them, telling her why she didn't save them.

But the problem didn't stop there. Even with the death of her father, old enemies still want to settle with the organization. Romeuf was an old acquaintance of her father, a former Spina de Rosula member who left on bad terms. He along with other former members had planned to sabotage the Clementine line, to settle the score once and for all.

Luckily for her, her partner, Aether along with his trusted companion Paimon had managed to stop their plan just in time. They along with her had managed to stop a landslide from crashing into Poisson, saving the day, and keeping the people safe.

Aether.

It was as if fate had allowed them to meet. He was an enigma to her at first, but over time, she quickly got to know him, as to why he was traveling through Teyvat, his favorite hobbies, and his likes and dislikes.

There are many things to say about him, kind, heroic, and brave. But if there was a word for Navia to describe him, it's happiness.

She was happy when he spent time with her, she was happy when he tasted the macarons she prepared, she was happy when he saved her from falling into the primordial seawater, and she was happy when he told her that he was her partner.

Her heart was ready to explode any minute at what he said to her. But she calmed herself. It would be unsightly for the president of the Spina de Rosula to act like a child after all.

And just like that, the days went on. Days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months. Aether and Paimon had spent their days in Fontaine, fixing problems and helping people. She'd gotten so used to his company that she forgot that he too had his journey to complete.

"I came here to say my goodbyes, Navia," Aether said.

What? No, that can't be. He can't leave. He shouldn't leave. He said that he was her partner, and he'd stick side till the end. This isn't how it's supposed to end. Please, someone tell her that this is just a dream, a dream that she'll wake up anytime now.

Those were the thoughts that ran through her mind when he told her the news. For a moment, she stood like a statue, her eyes, losing their life as it became dull and empty. It wasn't until Aether noticed she was breathing heavily and asked if she was alright.

That snapped her out of her trans, but still, it didn't stop the thoughts of Aether leaving her for good. Still, she smiled at him and told him she was fine.

"I see," Navia said, continuing to force her smile.

But she noticed that his companion was not present at the moment. She then asks where the fairy at.

"Oh, she said she had to take care of some business. I think it has something to do with trying out all the food in Fontaine before we leave, I think she won't be back till tomorrow" Aether replied.

Tomorrow. Tomorrow he says. With the fairy gone, she'll be alone with him. Looking around, she saw that no one was near them, not a single person in sight. This gave her an idea.

"Well, since you're leaving, how about you come back to my place and have a bunch of macarons?" Navia offered while smiling.

Please say yes. Please say yes. Please say yes. Those are her thoughts at the moment.

"I'd love to," Aether said.

Good. One step closer.

"Alright, if you would follow me," Navia said.

Aether soon followed Navia back to her place. Her house is what he'd expect from the president of the Spina de Rosula, a big and spotless house with many decorations such as vases and paintings that he could only imagine what their amount was.

Navia then asks Aether to wait as she wants to change into something more comfortable. He asks if he can help with cooking, but she declines, saying that she wouldn't be a good host if her guest did all the cooking.

Once she was done changing, she soon went into the kitchen. Her ingredients are laid out for her. Sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla extract, butter, almond flour, and most importantly, sedatives.

She then began the process, her hands made quick work of making the macarons, and eventually, she finished. But before she can serve it to Aether, she injects the sedatives into the tea.

Navia then finally provided Aether with her famous macarons, which Aether stuffed himself with. With the way he was eating, it was only a matter of time before he almost choked himself, and sure enough, she was right.

She offered him a cup of tea, to which he gladly accepted.

"I wish you could stay here in Fontaine," Navia said with a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"Yeah, I wish could, but I still have a journey to complete, I have to find Lumine," Aether replied.

Lumine. That was his sister's name, the person that he needed to find. Navia clenched her fists in silence. If only he could give as much attention to her rather than his sister, then maybe, he wouldn't have to leave her.

But it'll change. It will all change soon. He won't ever leave her once she's finished with her plan.

Aether didn't know why, but he was rather dizzy at the moment. Clenching his head, his breathing became heavy, until eventually, he dropped to the floor. Navia on the other hand looked at him with dead eyes. Finally, she can continue with her plan.

She soon picked up Aether and carried him to her bedroom. People would never guess that she could easily carry a person as she was too ladylike to. But looks can be deceiving at times.

She then placed him on the bed and kissed him on the lips.

"Don't worry partner, I won't let anyone separate us," Navia said.
