CHAPTER 1 - NEW LIFE
Well, a month from now the holidays would end and all the young people would go back to school, and Bulma was no exception. However, as it was her last year at school, her father had the brilliant idea of changing her school and country, so that she could finish her studies at an upper class school and then immediately go to the campus of dreams... Bulma tried to make his dad change his mind, but it didn't work. The maximum that Dr. Briefs allowed was that 18, Chi Chi and Yamcha also went on this trip, as long as they paid at least the school expenses, which made Bulma a little more relaxed.
This had happened a few days ago. Now Bulma was lying on her bed, a little impatient. She was constantly checking her cell phone to see if she had any new messages. The reason the blue-haired girl was so nervous and anxious was that her best friends were going to sleep over at her house so they could travel early tomorrow.
"Knock, knock", knocks on the door cut off the girl's reasoning. Before she could answer, the door opened and a brunette and a blonde entered. The brunette was ecstatic, smiling widely. The blonde had the same usual expression.
"I can't believe we're going to finish school in another country!'', Chi Chi shouted happily, making Bulma laugh.
"First, hi", she scoffed. "Second, I thought your dad wouldn't let you go."
''My father is obsessed with my education, of course he would let me go'', Chi Chi rolled his eyes
18 would say something, but was interrupted by the bedroom door opening and revealing Yamcha and Dr. Briefs on the other side.
''Huh, can I come in?'', the boy murmured, a little embarrassed, receiving a suspicious look from Bulma's father.
"Dad!", the girl exclaimed pouting.
"Don't do anything wrong", the Dr. warned and left.
18 and Chi Chi look at Yamcha in disbelief as he enters the room and stays on the bed, next to Bulma.
''He came to say goodbye to you, right?", the blonde narrowed her eyes as she looked at the guy.
''I'm going with you. Didn't Bulma tell?''
The two girls shot a deadly look at the blue-haired girl, who just shrugged. She didn't understand why her friends didn't like her boyfriend, but they had to accept the fact that he was going to live with the three.
''What movie do you want to watch?'', she ask, trying to change the subject.
'' Bohemian Rhapsody'', 18 suggested.
'' This Is Us, because there are the cute boys of that boyband'', Chi Chi commented, making the other girls laugh.
"Any suspense movie", Yamcha said, making the three girls roll their eyes.
'' I wanted Star Wars'', Bulma pouted but, soon after, her features lit up. ''We can watch all three!''
''Hot guys first'', the brunette opened the NetFlix.
'' But I don't agree with any of these films '' Yamcha snorted, but preferred to be quiet when he see scary looks from girls.
Bulma was sleeping soundly, but a jet of water woke her up. The poor girl got desperate, and got up in an attack position.
''Wake up, sleeping beauty'', 18 scoffed, throwing a bucket on the floor.
''Don't ask us where we got that bucket'', Chi Chi laughed and shrugged.
When the vision of the blue-haired girl becomes clear and finally assimilates everything what happened, she scream a lot of expletives. She would hit the other girls, but ended up stumbling Yamcha who, for some reason, had fallen asleep on the floor. Bulma got up from the ground, still muttering obscenities, while 18 and Chi Chi laughed.
"WAKE UP, DAMMIT'', she screamed realizing that the black haired boy was still sleeping. The boy stood up, stunned, not knowing what was going on.
''Hm, what time is it?", he said as he rubbed his eyes.
'' 4 a.m '', 18 shrugged. ''You, the weaks, ended up sleeping.''
''Have you two been awake until now?!'', Bulma and Yamcha had said in unison, incredulous, and the two girls nodded.
''Do what, we are nocturnal girls'', Chi Chi and 18 laughed, making the blue hair laugh too.
''Let's get ready'', she murmured, picking up a speaker and putting Smells Like Teen Spirit, by Nirvana, to the max.
''Isn't that awful song going to wake your parents?'', Yamcha scoffed.
''My parents don't care."
''And this song is not bad. You have a terrible musical taste'', 18 completed, making the boy snort.
After everyone was ready, the four youngs went down with bags and everything to the kitchen, where they stopped for breakfast.
''Are you sure you really want to go, honey? '' The Bulma's mother asked a little sadly because her daughter was going so far away from her, but before Bulma could answer anything, her father interfered.
''She will go. The private plane is already set up and Tights is waiting for the four in London'', Dr. Briefs explained as he fixed his glasses, making the blue hair roll his eyes.
Everyone continued eating in silence, until an servant said it was already 6 a.m and the private plane was ready to go, so they stopped breakfast and said goodbye.
''Wait for us, London!'' Chi Chi spoke cheerfully as everyone grabbed their respective bags and left the house.
"18?", Chi Chi nudged her blonde friend. ''I'm sleepless.''
The four youngs had been traveling for a few hours and Chi Chi was already completely agonized, as she couldn't wait to arrive. The brunette always dreamed of going to Europe and experiencing a cliché romance in high school, but she had never left Japan, so when Bulma told her about this trip she thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make her dream come true.
''I want to sleep'', 18 murmured, making Chi Chi pout. Sometimes she wanted to be as calm and patient as 18, as anxiety was overwhelming her, and she didn't know how to calm down.
''Do you think I will find the dream boy?'', the girl tries to start a conversation.
''Huh?'', the blonde frowned. ''What the fuck are you talking about now?''
18 was already used to the random things her friend said, but the girl's creativity and optimism always irritated her.
''I imagine myself arriving on my first day of school and bumping into a cute boy in the hall'', the brunette had a dreamy look on her face.
"And that's good?"
''Of course yes!'' She pouted. ''He helps me pick up my books, then we fall in love and we will be the cutest and most popular couple in school!''
''You are stupid'', blonde rolls her eyes and laughs. ''If someone bumps me in the school hallway I would beat him.''
Chi Chi murmured something about 18 be the most insensitive friend in the world. ''I still can't sleep.''
''Count robots, then you will end up falling asleep'', 18 adviced.
''Robots?'', the brunette laugh. "Wouldn't it be counting sheep?'' There was no answer, so the girl decided to just follow her friend's advice and 'count robots'.
Bulma woke up and looked at the seat next to her, noticing the presence of her boyfriend, who was still sleeping. In the two seats next to her was 18, who was sleeping soundly, and Chi Chi who was sprawled on the chair wearing headphones and snoring a lot. The blue hair gave a discreet smile and pulled out a compartment that was at her side, revealing a kind of 'computer'.
''Hello, Miss Briefs!" The voice of a very friendly guy was heard through the small screen. ''We are reaching our destination, get ready for landing.''
''It was faster than I expected'', the girl said, incredulous. ''I was going to order a sparkling water, but I think I can wait.''
''This jet is one of the fastest in Capsule Corporation!'' The guy explained. ''When we get there you can have as many bottles of sparkling water as you want.''
Bulma muttered a 'great' and put the device back in the compartment, preparing to land. Blue hair was very nervous, as this would be the beginning of a new life. A completely different life than she used to have in Japan.
"Hey, wake up", Bulma nudged 18 and Chi Chi.
The private plane had landed in the backyard of his sister's home, which was where they would be stay. You may be asking yourself: Why will Bulma move in with her sister if her parents have enough money to buy several apartments? The answer, in fact, is quite simple: Dr. Briefs did not trust the four young people living alone. Returning to the main subject, the landing had already been accomplished with total success and now Bulma only needed to wake up her friends.
18 woke up just in time, but Chi Chi was still sleepy and mumbling incoherent words.
''Let's leave her there'', the blonde suggested. ''Who sent her to sleep to late''. Bulma shrugs, as does 18, and go to will wake Yamcha.
''Hey, would you really leave me here?'', the brunette finally stood up. ''You guys are bad!''
''Yes, we are'', the blonde scoffed, putting a lock of hair behind her ear, making Bulma laugh and agree.
''Yam'', 18 rolled his eyes with the affectionate nickname. ''We are here, wake up''. The boy moved a little and murmured "just another minute", making Chi Chi lose his temper.
"Look boy, let's finish the move soon, because I'm sleepy, and if I don't have a bed for lie down to as soon as possible I will take all my anger out on you!", she shouted in an extremely high-pitched voice , making the boy jump off the bench and Bulma giving her an angry look.
''What is it?!'' Yamcha said in a desperate tone, not quite sure what was going on.
''Let's finish this soon'', 18 snorted and grabbed her bag and got out of the plane. The other three did the same.
''Little sister!'' Tights was outside the house, waiting for the youngs, and smiled when she saw her sister that she hadn't seen in almost five years. ''Ya grow up! ''
''Hi, Tights'', Bulma returned the smile and gave the older woman a hug.
The older blonde, right after the hug, looked at her sister's friends, as if she were examining them, which made Chi Chi a little nervous and embarrassed.
''So these are your best friends that mom talked about so much'', Tights smiled and greeted each one.
''Yes, they are my friends'', Bulma smiled slightly. ''Chi Chi, Juuhachigou and Yamcha."
''18, call me 18'', the blonde tried to give her the least fake smile she could.
Tights just nodded sympathetically and helped them carry their bags into the house.
''Wow, it's as big as your house, B'', Chi Chi looked at the paintings perfectly aligned on the walls of the room ''And it's beautiful ''
18 was also quite distracted by the beauty of the place, approaching the couch and propping up on it. What she didn't expect was to get a hell of a fright.
''AAAAAHHH'', the girl shouted, causing a boy with dark hair and strangely spiky to get up immediately.
"Hey, you scared me!" He murmured in a slightly sleepy voice, rubbing his eyes, but then recovered and acted as if nothing had happened. ''Hi, I am Goku!''
''Yeah, he is Goku'', Tights laughed. ''He's my boyfriend's brother. They both live here.''
''Full house, eh?'' Bulma smiled.
