"I'm sorry. Can you say that again?" Danny placed his free hand to his ear, almost dropping the pumpkin and thermos.

"I said...I want an interview." Spectra floated closer with her iCoffin out. Her movement was rigged as her frantically limbs snapped into position as she held her phone like a mic, pressing forward. The device was almost jammed into the boy's face, from how close it was.

The ghost boy blinked, staring at the ghost girl as he got a better look. For all he knew, this new ghost could be trying to get the drop on him. He hummed with narrow eyes that glowed brighter, putting the phone down with one finger.

Under his intense gaze, the ghost girl felt her ectoplasmic form sweat. Her limbs were stone, unmoving as she calmed herself.

This was the moment. The point of coming to Amity Park, an interview with Danny Phantom. Nervousness engulfed as the air thickened with tension. This was the ghost girl's chance and all she could do was remain still, staring at the ghost boy.

There was power in Danny's eyes, like a warrior with his weapon drawn. It froze her midair as if the gaze was turning her to ice.

But she was not here to fight.

"L-let me reintroduce myself. Again, I am Spectra Vondergeist, and I've come here for an interview for my blog, The Ghostly Gossip—"

Danny held up his free hand, no longer fueled with ecto-energy.

"No thanks. I'd rather not be part of any gossip or rumors. I already have enough trouble as it is," he said, turning away.

The town was already becoming divisive of his status as a ghost hero, with the latest polls indicating it was going to be a tie in the near future.

His legs turned into a spirit tail as he turned to fly away. However, his exit was halted by Spectra jetting in front of him, blockading him with arms out.

A sigh escaped from his mouth. "Listen, Spectra, right? I don't suppose you know another Spectra?" he asked. All he got was silence as the ghost girl shook her head with a scrunched-up face. "Right...that might have crossed a line. Anyway, look. It's Halloween, and I need to get back to work protecting this town and putting all these ghost back into these Ghost Zone before I go to bed."

His free hand surged with ectoenergy, raising it as his grip on the pumpkin prison tightened. He did not want to hurt the ghost girl, but tonight was one of his busiest nights, and he still had homework to do.

"So, why don't you—"

"No!" Spectra was not about to leave after finally coming face-to-face with her big scoop. "I came all the way from New Salem to do an interview and I'm not going to take no for an answer!" She leaned into Danny's charged hand. The pulsating power flickered near her face.

It was clear to Danny that she would not go without a hassle, at least. Dropping his free hand, he combed his hair back with it before pointing to the pumpkin.

During this entire exchange, he could not shake the feeling of possibly dropping it or that the gourd could explode at any moment. However, that was his nerves getting to him.

"Look...Spectra, I get you came along way, I don't know how far as I don't know geography that well, but in case you haven't noticed, I'm busy. Still." He patted the pumpkin. "Now, I'm gonna go before something worse happens. I don't have time for questions or whatever it is you're looking for. As far as I'm concerned, there are still ghosts haunting the town."

The typical response would be to jet away at full speed, but the ghost boy still had to be careful with the Fright Knight's prison, and that meant keeping a tight grip on it while going at safer speeds.

But that was not doing anything to remove Spectra from his path.

"Please reconsider. I just know all the mansters and ghouls are dying to know about the infamous ghost boy, including his life and afterlife as a monster and normie. Not to mention that everyone in Monster High would definitely want to hear about you," Spectra pleaded, not letting Danny get a single word in.

"Monster High?" Danny tilted his head. He knew ghosts were real, but what he heard sounded more like a show from the 90's or early 2010's.

The sudden pause from the ghost boy made an excellent opportunity to appeal to him once again for an interview. Spectra then pressed a few buttons on her iCoffin's screen pushed into his vision. This time, the display was face forward as the ghost girl brought up and scrolled through various photos. Danny noticed that Specra was entering his personal space again, but his attention was too focused on what was on her iCoffin's screen.

The presentation was like an exhibition of monster movies mashed that manifested Monster High in its mind-blowing, menageric merit.

Spectra knew she had Danny's full attention now. Taking her phone back, she smiled and said, "This is Monster High: a school where monsters of all kind can gather and hang out."

"Uh-huh. So monsters exist?" That was all Danny could say in a neutral tone.

"All kinds. We have all kinds of monsters like vampires, zombies, weremonsters, mummies, and—"

"I get it." Danny pulled back. He needed space to think.

Spectra respected his boundaries, but she had more to say. However, it was then her iCoffin buzzed, shaking rapidly as the ringtone screamed out something horrible. For a moment, it made Danny almost drop the pumpkin as she answered the call.

"Hello?" Spectra asked.

"Spectra, where you been, ghoul?" Draculaura's voice whined loud enough for both of the ghosts to hear.

"We lost sight of you after you ditched your costume. I hope you're alright." Frankie's voice was now heard.

"Ditched my costume?" Spectra pondered before frantically looking down at her black halter top and tattered skirt. The chains moved slightly, barely jangling as the ghoul sighed in relief as she remembered the Sherlockian outfit she wore at the party.

"So sorry about that ghouls, but I'm perfectly fine right now. In fact, I'm with Danny Phantom right now." She turned to Danny, who had been watching with a blank face. Part of him seemed to be losing patience as he rapidly tapped two fingers on the pumpkin. "We'll come to you," she added.

"Really? That Great! I'll totes send you our location then!" Draculaura was heard again before the line died. A ping was heard as the ghost girl unlocked her phone.

Spectra looked at the screen as she opened the map app. Flying away, she gestured for Danny to follow.

The ghost boy was cautious, but his curiosity about Monster High got the better of him. Not to mention the other monsters that came along with Spectra. He could only hope this wasn't a trap as he kept his wits about him when following the ghost girl to meet her friends.

Following Spectra, the meeting point was in the forest surrounding the country club. It was perhaps a mile away from the club, but the distance did not matter as Danny landed, greeted by the sight before him. It was a shock to see a group of cute, curved girls dressed in costume, all of them monsters.

The earth below seemed to freeze for the ghost boy as he took note of the ghouls waving at him. He could only wave back, unsure how to respond when facing a small crowd of fearsomely pretty girls. The ghost boy tried to remain reasonably cautious, but Danny still felt a bit light in his knees despite the girls being monsters as he saw the really pretty girls. Especially the one with the heterochromia eyes. It was almost refreshing, seeing the monster girls, if not for the fact their existence was proven real.

Although all of this could be from his hormones, noting the girls' hot costumes. His eyes would dart here and there to what was showing, especially to some of the girls' legs that were being shown. Frankie's tear in her lab coat was starting to blur a line as her left leg was showing more going up, Lagoona's bikini was barely any worse with mid drift showing, and Clawdeen was not bothering to hide hers with her leotard. Granted, it was covered with brown hair, but he was not concerned about that, right now.

This would make his life harder. He did not know how, but he could feel it in his ectoplasm.

Meanwhile, the ghouls remained relatively silent for a moment. Each of them was seeing the latest talk of the crowd, Danny Phantom, with their own eyes, and they all stared at him with different reactions. They all paused, humming in intrigue as they stared. To the ghost boy, it was like hearing the hottest girls of Casper High looking over the student body, often comparing everyone for some list of discussion to kill time.

Most of those ended with Danny and his friends at the bottom, often being laughed at and talked about behind their backs. While that had stopped bothering the former for weeks to months now, it was annoying to possibly having the process start all over now with the newly proven existence of monsters.

Cute ones at that, but that was going to be a discussion with Tucker and Sam later.

"You know, actually seeing Danny Phantom for the first time...something is..."

"Off?" Draculauara asked, cutting off Lagoona.

"Definitely, mate."

"Going back to the pictures, we really got a good look at the face." Clawdeen eyed the ghost boy in peculiarity. "I mean, it's nice, but what's the hazmat? I thought heroes wore spandex."

That hurt, more so than Danny would admit. While he never complained about the black hazmat suit with white gloves and boots, that did not mean he liked others doing so. And he was pretty sure spandex would not flatter him, although that could be his self esteem lowering with each comment.

"And he could use a bit more muscle." Draculaura held her thumbs and index fingers out as she panned the ghost boy.

"What?" Danny raised a brow as the staring continued. It was rather creepy, but this was the first time he encountered an entourage of monsters that had not existed until now.

"Nothing." Draculaura waved her hands with a nervous smile. "It's just that...your eyes are really pretty, and it goes well with the white hair...and it's all cute..."

"Uh...thanks?" The ghost boy combed his white hair with one hand. He won't lie, his facial details were some key features that were always commented positively. And while the compliments were nice, there was something else given by how the short, pink vampire was holding her breath.

His glowing green eyes went to each ghoul and their variety of expressions. Frankie hissed slowly through her teeth, smiling. Clawdeen was holding her chin, eyeing the boy up and down. Spectra hid herself in the back, her transparent body growing almost invisible. Lagoona and Ghoulia had the most innocent smiles, but they were just as nervous.

Cleo stepped forward, strutting over with nonchalance that was seen in the A-listers in Casper High. It was not a hard guess for the ghost boy to conclude she was of the same status in Monster High.

And that seemed to include the double standard of personal space: do not approach, but be approachable when convenient.

"Your face is alright, but when you're not fighting, or whatever, you look like a kid," Cleo said.

Danny shouted an indignant hey. He was fifteen, growing into puberty still. There was still some boyish fat retained from childhood, but it was lessening by the months. Granted, the past year of ghost fighting did not seem to give him a six pack, he would look into that later, but the other day, he counted three chest hairs.

That totally had to show he was not prepubescent.

His hand reached into his collar to pull one out as proof, but a bandaged hand was shoved into his face stopped him. Cleo was in no mood to see a rebuttal.

Ghoulia moaned. The ghouls shook their heads as they commented in agreement that their mummified friend was too blunt in her words.

Danny was unsure how he felt about the zombie girl, mainly because he could not stop asking himself how the zombie's sound effects were coherent for a complete statement.

"What? I was being honest about him. Didn't you ghouls ask me to be more honest with you all and every creature?" Cleo retorted.

"Yeah, we did. But you might've been too honest there, mate. The guy clearly looks offended," Lagoona pointed out.

Cleo looked back to see a deadpan Danny glaring at her. She did not apologize, but she backed away as she returned to the group.

"So, let me introduce ourselves," Frankie said, stepping forward. "I'm Frankie Stein, and these are my friends: Clawdeen Wolf, Draculuara, Ghoulia Yelps, Cleo de Nile, Lagoona Blue, and you've already met Spectra Vondergeist."

Danny blinked as he listened. Frankie Stein? Draculura? Clawdeen Wolf? These names were too on the nose, almost as if they were monster movie fans personified. That thought he would keep to himself.

There was no need to potentially irk or insult a newly acquaintance group of cute girls, even monster ones. However, he was certain that perhaps he would need to talk to someone about calling the girls cute. Never knew he would think that.

"And you're the halfa, Danny Phantom, right?" Frankie resumed, snapping Danny out of his thoughts.

"Halfa?" Danny repeated. He swore he heard that term before somewhere, but nothing rang a bell. "Where did you hear that?"

"From a ghost I interviewed. Sydney Pointdexter," Spectra said. "He and the entire school called you that. A half ghost: a halfa."

Danny rolled his eyes. He needed a publicist from the names given to him. Still, it was better than when the town called him Inviso-bill. "Yeah, he's the only one to ever call me that," he said.

The ghouls replied collectively with an oh. Yeah, Danny was going to need a publicist.

"Look, I don't have much time here. So, can I just answer a couple questions and leave? I still have work to do and sleep to catch up on," Danny said.

Spectra flew up, iCoffin ready, as she spoke. "Danny Phantom, since the new turf wars in Amity Park, it seems you call the town your own, fighting off any ghosts that want to make themselves home. Why is that?" she asked.

"Turfs wars? What the heck is that about? There's no turf wars!" Danny replied.

"Then how do you explain the constant fights?"

"You mean the ghost that either fight me or do whatever they want?" Danny used his free hand to point at the town with his thumb. "That's all on the ghosts. I'm just defending the town."

"Defending?!" Spectra was joined by the ghouls as they spoke the word in unison.

"Yeah. Didn't you notice the Fright Knight flying around trying to reign supreme on 'his' night?" Danny used air quotes, not intending the knight pun.

"I thought that was odd. I mean, he does have a domain in the ghost Zone," Spectra said. "So, this isn't about you and those ghosts fighting over territory? No turf wars?"

Danny sighed. Out of everything that has happened with his ghostly enemies, the idea of turf wars was ridiculous. He should get two publicists. One for Amity Park and the other for the Ghost Zone. Although, that could lead to the possibility of adding more to the list of ghosts that want to hurt him.

"I don't know who came up with that idea, but it's wrong. I just try to mind my business in my hometown, but then some psycho ghosts show up to either destroy me, the town, or take over the world, and I always happen to be the one who needs to put a stop to it," Danny explained.

"I see...so, the rumor that you act like your towns superhero is true," Spectra said.

"Yep," Danny said.

After a few more minutes, Danny answered some more of her questions, and the female ghost was excited about her recent "hot scoop." There was nothing better than getting information from the source. Minutes began to feel like hours as the ghouls kept watch as the interview continued.

"Hey ghouls, as much as I want to explore the normie world, aren't we a little pressed for time getting a ride back to Monster High?" Draculaura asked. She was glancing at the clock on her phone.

"Don't worry about that. I told the servants to not leave until I tell them," Cleo said.

"Ahhh..."

"Ghoulia's got a point. We can't stay here forever. Halloween's the only time we can blend in," Lagoona added, taking note of the groups costumes. As beautiful as the ghouls were in them, tonight was the only night such costumes would disguise them.

"But what about my interview? I'm not leaving empty-handed after coming all this way for my big scoop." Spectra replied, not wanting to leave after finally meeting The Danny Phantom face to face.

"Hey, I got an idea," Frankie said with a clasp of her hands.

"Oh boy, here we go," Clawdeen snarked.

"You should come over and see Monster High for yourself." Frankie walked up to the ghost boy.

"What!?" The entire group, sans Frankie, exclaimed.

Hey there. BeConFuzzled Writer with Jay The Average Fanboy here, wishing everyone a happy holiday. While we have your attention, there is something we'd like to tell you concerning Halloween, Hopes, & Screams. Jay, if you please.

Greetings and Salutations Readers of Fanfics! This JTAF here appearing with BCFW, hoping that all of you are having a wonderful winter holiday and a Happy New Year with all of your loved ones. Like my fellow Collaborator just said, we both have a Super Special message to you all that will greatly effect "Halloween, Hopes, & Screams" as we move forward. While we both enjoy building up and writing through this Fanfic Story. Trying to post more than one chapter a month is proving to be more taxing and time consuming than either of us expected. So to lessen the stress on both of us and keep on writing for this Fanfic Story as well, we have discussed and decided continue moving forward with this Crossover Fanfic by posting one Chapter a Month from this point onwards. We hope that this doesn't come off as too disappointing for anyone who has come to enjoy this story, but there is no need for worry because this Fanfic Story will continue in a more reasonable fashion on a monthly basis.

Special thanks! to Flower Princess11 for all her help!

Thanks!

Thanks.

Invader Johnny:

Yep.

It sure is.

JTAF waving Goodbye for now.

danifan3000:

He almost did. Good thing he's up for talking it out, even on Halloween.

Fingers Crossed. Also, Thanks for bringing up Danny's first met up with Desiree. It makes his behavior seem a bit more believable now.

54godamora:

Ok...that's weird. Anyway, there will be fights as Danny brings up his perspective against Monster High's more pacifistic attitude, but more on that in the coming chapters.

Thank for the clarification.

Njistar:

Thank Jay for that. His input.

Thanks, Star and Kwan arr my favorite secondary characters in Danny Phantom. I noticed that Dash and Paulina get way too much attention in a lot of Danny Phantom Fics and figured that Star and Kwan could shine in this one for a change.

Dark Pheonix Paladin X:

Thanks!

Thanks.

Jakekenstein:

Thanks!

Thanks. ;)

You can suggest pairing, it would be impossible to stop, but for the most part, Jay and I will be discussing them as we move from chapter to chapter. Not really. Spectra just heard about him recently in the first chapter and he's only talked about in the Ghost Zone. Monsters have never heard of him. Spectra interviewed Pointdexter and the Box Ghost. The rest were either too dangerous to approach or unable to be found. Ironically, not really.

1. Yes it does

2. Yes she is.

3. So does Tucker.

4. Yup.

5. You too!

6. Maybe?

7. We'll see.

8. Kind of.

Your Questions:

1. I'll hear you out, but I can't speak for my Collaborator.

2. I'd say, like a B-list celebrity in the Monster World. Big, not too over the top.

3. No, but she has heard about some of them through rumors and gossip.

4. Yes I am and proud of it. I Absolutely love the original G1 Web Series, I adore the G2 Remake from 2016 and was sad when it was canceled. I still haven't finished G3's first season yet.

LockAndKey989:

Well, part of one. Spectra did not get every answer she wanted. She'll be digging into Danny more.

Yup.

Guest:

Jay and I saw your review and we talked about it. As far as Danny knows, Pointdexter is the only ghost to call him that and it's been a looong time since he heard it.

1. First, I want to point out that word/phrase "Halfa" within the Tv show holds a lot of implications for where it came from and originated from within the Danny Phantom lore. Just because one character said it on screen still holds a lot of unanswered questions. 2. Also, Thank you for pointing that out. It was a mistake on both our parts and won't happen again.

Okami2312:

You mean Danny?

What does next Year look like?

Luiz4200:

Yep.

Nope.

Lustful-Angel96:

How's this?

Let's hope so.

Soggy Fischer Woods:

I'm working on it. The year is not over yet.

Thanks Dude, Happy Holidays! :)
