Finnick took a step back after turning on the short but prettily decorated Christmas tree of his. He stood there for a brief moment and internally admired what he had done with it, considering he didn't have a whole bunch of ornaments to adorn it with except for the ones he had gotten several years ago.

Normally it was only him that was ever in his house to look around at whatever decorations he decided to put out. This time around, however, it was going to be a little bit different.

Feeling a bit jollier than usual and recently in the mood to have some company over, he thought it would be a nice idea for him to have a little Christmas party with some old friends of his. Lucky for him, some of them agreed to stop by since they didn't have any other plans for the holidays.

In light of his plans, he felt the idea to get some lights strung across the outside of his house since that was somewhere he never really decorated. The problem was that the only ladder he had was a smaller one that he only got out whenever a lightbulb or something needed changed.

A solution came in the form of a phone call to his friend Nick from the ZPD. He told him he had two mammals, both of which being good friends of his, with a ladder and some lights that he could certainly borrow, and that they'd be more than happy to help somebody out over the holidays with their decorating.

After a few minutes had passed with him tuning in to a Christmas special, he saw from outside the nearby window that a large car pulled up the street rather quickly, the lights from it casting shadows on the wall behind them.

I guess that must be them, he thought as he strolled over towards the front door. Bundling up in his coat and muffs, he took a step outside to go greet them.

"You guys can go ahead and-" Finnick's eyes widened and his mouth hung open upon him seeing just who was stepping from out of the car. "Oh, hell no."

"This... must... be... the place..." a voice said trailed. "Priscilla..."

"Oh..." another slowly replied. "Nice... neighborhood..."

From out the car unhurriedly emerged a sloth couple in winter jackets. They walked toward the trunk, which had opened much faster than they would ever move, before waving over at Finnick at their pace.

"You... must... be... Finnick?" the one sloth asked.

The fennec fox found himself caught off guard. When Nick said he was going to ask two of mammals he knew to help him out, he didn't anticipate them to be the sloths he knew from the DMV out of all animals.

He didn't wish to be rude, though, since that was not in his nature, and so he smiled and waved back before walking up to them.

"Would either of ya like some hot cocoa or somethin' 'fore you work of those lights?" he offered.

"No... thank you..." responded the sloth that had waved to him.

"Okay." Finnick took a few steps back and pointed to the spots he wanted to have lights placed. "Now over here's where I-"

"I'm... good..."

The fox was silent for a few seconds before returning to discussing where he wanted the lights placed. "Anyway, here's-"

"How... about... you... Priscilla?" The sloth slowly turned his head to the other one standing next to him.

"That's... okay... Flash..." she answered.

Finnick turned around and shook his head. He still had a Christmas party that he needed to finish getting prepared for, and he was now praying on the inside that they would hopefully have the lights hung up before nightfall.
