A/N Xander and Cordelia have arrived in Grimm during the episodes Wesenrein and Tribunal, episodes that have racists Wesen kidnapping Monroe and putting him on trial for his 'interracial' marriage to Rosalie. It's during this time that Juliette decides Nick needs to be a Grimm. The world needs Grimm, especially those that at least try to balance the Wesen and human worlds. Xander's and Cordelia's presence is going to have an affect, just because you know they can't keep themselves from trying to help. Trubel wasn't in the actual episode, but I like her, so she is now.

Collecting Monroe and Trubel on the way out of the station, the group headed for the parking lot.
"Okay, what's going on?" Nick asked.
"And how can you see me even though I'm not woged?" Monroe asked.
"What's woged?" Cordelia asked.
"You know what Wesen are, but don't know what woge is?" Trubel asked.
"They know what Wesen are?" Nick asked.
"I heard them talking in the hall." Trubel said. "He can see Monroe and she asked if he was a demon and he said maybe or maybe one of the Wesen they were told about."
"Someone told you about Wesen?" Nick asked.
"And Grimm." Xander confirmed. "We were told that Grimms are the protectors of this world. You have something we need, Detective. We're not here to cause trouble. We're trying to save lives."
"Why do you smell like an animal?" Monroe asked.
"He smells like an animal?" Hank asked. "You mean like he's been spending time around animals and hasn't had a chance to take a shower yet?"
"No, I mean like he is an animal. Wesen can turn from a human to an animal state, but he's not a Wesen, at least I don't think he is. If he is, I can't tell."
"I'm not Wesen and I'm not local. Wesen don't exist where we come from."
"He's being truthful. His scent hasn't changed, it would if he was lying, it's an involuntary response that most people are never aware of." Monroe told them.
"My sense of smell isn't as good as yours, but our hearing may be on par." Xander said with a smile. "Canines of any type tend to have good hearing, not that I fall into the canine catagory myself. Adjacent to it, you could say."
"You're being circumspect." Nick observed.
"Well neither of us knows if we can trust the other yet. What we need is something important, you may not be willing to give it to us unless you think you can trust us. We need to get to a point where we can trust each other. There are things neither of us can say or do in public. Neither of us is willing to risk exposure."
"You think Grimms and Wesen aren't publicly known?" Hank asked, curious.
"I'm operating from my own knowledge. The things we know aren't publicly known, it's abit of an assumption on my part, but by tossing it out there, I'm giving you the chance to confirm or deny."
"I'll confirm." Nick said. "Neither are publicly known about."
"Thank you and since trust is a two way street, I'll confirm my mixed up genetics include an animal and you haven't explained what a woge is."
"The ability to shift from our human to our animal state, while retaining human intelligence." Monroe answered.
"They're are other words for that, shape shifting, transforming, they basically mean the same thing. I will confirm I can do the same thing."
"Again, not a lie." Monroe said. "He believes what he's saying."
"Half trust, seeing is believing. Not going to do it in public."
"I wouldn't either." Monroe said.
"We can go to a place we know, in the woods." Nick offered.
"Is this the part where you expect me to ask if you intend to kill and bury us?" Xander asked good naturally.
"There are four of us and two of you. Odds are in our favor if we were." Nick pointed out.
"Another assumption, Detective. This one is based solely on your past experiences. You don't actually know that you can take one, let alone both of us in a fight."
"No I don't, but we have guns, they're great equalizers." Nick tossed back.
"A friend recently pointed that out to another friend not long ago. It might give you an advantage, but it might not. Again, an assumption based on your past experiences. We don't match your past experiences, I'm nearly 100% certain of that. Nearly."
"Then we can go to my house. I really don't want to turn it into a crime scene."
"I believe you, Detective and you have no idea how hard that is, given the cops are either very incompetent or deeply stupid where we come from. We still haven't figured out which, but since the Mayor of our city was an extreme version of corrupt, I'm leaning toward corrupt myself. Lead the way."
"You can ride with Trubel and me in my vehicle." Nick offered. "Hank and Monroe can follow in thiers."
"Works for me. I'll even ride up front and Cordy can ride in the back. Which reminds me, we haven't introduced ourselves yet. My name is Alexander Harris, friends call me Xander. We're from California, I was the only one with a normal name and this is my girlfriend, Cordelia. And by process of elimination, we've figure out who each of you is. Shall we?"
"We shall." Nick agreed, wondering what he was getting himself into this time.
