Sorry if you were expecting an update. I am working on an idea that I would like to put into this story. I would appreciate the feedback that will hopefully remove flaws to this concept of mine.

So the ideas are two things and are made in a direct response to some of my hate regarding Game's Workshop new posterboys: The Primaris Space Marines. The whole idea that a single man, or group under Cawl, could IMPROVE the Space Marine isn't heresy, but an impossability to me. The Emperor and legions of the finest specialists DURING the Imperium's greatest peak (Great Crusade) would have improved the Space Marine if they could have so... Since Cawl and so much of his influence is canon, I cannot sadly ignore it, but I refuse to accept some of them and believe GW could have done a better job such as my concepts.

So while trying to keep the spirit of the recent changes in lore that GW has made, I will add changes that I believe should have been made.

Project Reclamation
The brilliant Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl at the order of Roboute Guilliman was a trump card if the Imperium was to ever face a situation that could threaten its very survival, a secret project of the highest secrecy was carried out.

The first primary goal was to reclaim the expertise and knowledge lost due to the Horus Heresy. Things that proved instrumental in the Great Crusade such as Volkite weapons, Grav-Bikes and many more wonderful things that the Imperium couldn't make anymore.

The second objective was to regain something that humanity for the most part had lost since the Dark Age of Technology, the spirit of innovation. This meant humanity didn't just search the ruins of its golden era, but to create new ideas and inventions that may have never existed even during the zenith of human scientific and knowledgeable.

Hence, in secret to achieve these two goals of Project Reclamation, embarked on journey that was considered heresy by the Mechanicus.

Astartes Auxilia

One thing that the Imperium is always in short hand of were Astartes. Despite their superhuman body and minds or the best training and equipment available to the Imperium, there were never enough Astartes to eliminate the rebellions and xeno invasions. Attempting to rectify this mistake, Cawl with his influence and connections searched far and way within and outside the Imperium.

A solution like so many of the Imperium's advancement came from the ancient past, but this solution didn't come from the Age of Technology, but from the Unifications Wars of Terra where Thunder Warriors and the first prototypes of the Astartes were created, tested and refined.

One tested method was discarded as it did meet the Emperor's lofty standards for a superhuman killing machine, but it was not wasted. It would be later altered to become the selected method in the creation of an Astartes.

This nearly forgotten method was later rediscovered by Cawl's followers and would be slightly modified by Cawl to suit his needs.

The end result were germ cells and viral machines that reworked the human body and pushed it to beyond the limits of the baseline human, but not to the extent of that superhuman Astartes. Humans subjected to this "Auxilia" gene-seed would push them to the physical standards that Astartes sought in new recruits.

In Summary

Projection Reclamation is Great Crusade era Space Marine wargear and vehicles returning in addition to Primaris Marine stuff. THIS IS PRIMARIS MARINE STUFF. NOT THE PRIMARIS !#$%^&

Astartes Auxilia, mini-space marines that are pushed beyond the limits of baseline humans and equipped with Auxilia-pattern (non-Astarte version) Power Armor like the Sisters of Battles use, better than Imperial Guards, but worse then Space Marine, just imagine then as canon fodder that if potential Space Marine candidate if they perform well beyond expectations.
