Notes: Oh god... I can't believe the last few weeks...
First work has been a nightmare, and then my laptop literally snapped in half last week. and even after I got my new one up and running, I realized somehow over 2,000 words of my google docs got deleted... so became too frustrated to do all of it over again. It will all be put into next chapter.
So I apologize if this chapter feels like set up... but meh... I had to get a chapter out to you fans. so enjoy!
(Also, please check your settings and make sure notifications are on. apparently they have to be turned on every so often now)
Dropping through the cave tunnel, Katara slid down the steep incline towards the depths. Using the light from Burnin's hair and Bakugo's explosions, she could make out the rough walls around her as they went deeper. Then suddenly, she caught sight of Shishido disappearing forward along with the other heroes, before seeing that the ground leveled out beneath them, stopping her movement alongside everyone else. The moment they stopped, several of the officers flipped on their lights, illuminating the area around the group.
"Everyone be ready," Shishido stated, his eyes looking through the darkness for any movement.
"I'm ready," Bakugo grinned as he readied his hands.
Katara opened her canteen open as she readied for whatever came their way, looking around past the lit area around them. From what she could see, they were in an enormous cavern that led to multiple pathways, looking around as the police readied their weapons. Taking a breath, she quickly cracked her knuckles as she tried making out through the darkness. "So where do we go now?" she asked.
"We go through every cavern and kick their asses, that's what." Burnin chuckled and ignited her palms.
Shishido was about to glare back at the others to be quiet, but his nose suddenly picked up several scents around them. His eyes widened as he looked forward, now sensing at least four different beings, and one of them was exceptionally close. "Someone's coming!"
Everyone turned forward to where Shishido was looking, Kendo's hands expanding slightly as Katara pulled out a stream of water around her shoulders. As the figure grew closer, however, their eyes widened as they now heard a slow clap and a small chuckle. When the figure came into the light, Katara's mouth dropped in shock when she saw the tall woman come into view. "That's…" she muttered.
"Well done, well done," Itkomi snickered as she came into the light, sarcastically raising her hands from the guns pointed in her direction. "You found us, whatever shall we do now?"
"What the hell?" Shishido said out loud, confused at why the hunters leader was here. Itkmoi's multiple eyes narrowed in amusement seeing the shocked look on the other's faces.
"Oh, was I supposed to be somewhere else right now? I apologize for that…" Itkomi reached up and gripped her forehead, maintaining the smirk on her face as she looked back at the heroes. "It seems there… may have been a mix up in the information you received."
"What?" Shishido said in shock, thinking back to the interrogations they had with Vixen. His gaze narrowed as he flexed his claws. "Wait… the woman we captured… This was part of your plan?"
"It seems you put a lot of trust in Vixen's words… and that was your first mistake." Itkomi chuckled to herself and gave a wink. "I guess you should have learned a little bit more of what animals we really were."
The officers looked at each other in confusion to what was said, with Burnin stepping forward and growing the fire in her hands. "Alright Charlotte's Web, time to spill your guts on why you assholes were after me!"
Itkomi only snickered in amusement, still keeping their true "And why would I tell you that? Besides…" Itkomi's palms opened up allowing the strings of webbing to stretch between her fingers. "It's not like any of you are going to be leaving here today."
The lights above suddenly flicked on, blinding the heroes and officers for a moment. Once they adjusted to the brightness, they saw the massive cavern in its glory… and the other occupants inside the large space. Katara looked around and saw there was the scorpion girl from the pictures she had seen from the precinct, but felt her heart skip a beat when she saw the raptor user Muteki standing above them on the ledge. "He's here too?!" She gasped out, remembering what Mirko told her and Bakugo about him.
"This is better than we expected. We have plenty of things to play with now." Sasori snickered out, her long stinger tail flicking out behind her.
"I know…" Muteki chuckled in amusement, eying the several heroes before him… but his focus was only on one of them below. "I've been growing curious on what he's capable of…"
'The hell is going on?' Shishido said to himself in confusion, reaching up and clicking his earpiece. His eyes widened in shock when he only heard a static hiss, unable to connect to either Endeavor or Mirko.
"Oh, what you were told about retaining reception in here… that was bullshit as well." Muteki chuckled out, grinning as he watched Shishido and the other heroes slowly step back. "No form of wireless communication works inside these caves."
"Everyone, get out of here now!" Shishido shouted and backstepped, "Out to the surface!"
"I'm not afraid of these guys!" Bakugo growled out and sparked out his hands, "I'm going to-
"Get out now! We were not prepared for this!" Shishido yelled, but his ears picked up the explosions in the distance of the tunnel they came through, flipping around and taking in the sounds the others couldn't hear; explosions and crumbling rocks. "No…"
"Oh you hear it, don't you?" Itkomi snickered, "It seems our other friend set off the explosives sealing off the exit."
"They what?" one of the officers said in shock, turning around to suddenly catch sight of something unexpected. "The hell is that?!"
As the others flipped around as well, Katara's heart jumped as she saw the spray of liquid rushing towards them, instinctively whipping out a large wave of water stopping the attack. "That's…" she stuttered out in shock, her heart rate climbing as the reptilian figure entered the cavern view.
"Well lookie here… this is sweet." the snake man Kobura flicked his long tongue out as he slithered into view. "Nice to have you join us all."
"Another one?" Burnin glared as she ignited her fists, "I was waiting to make you into a belt!"
Kobura only glared seeing the green fire on her hands. "Another one of you flame idiots."
"Huh? Another?" Burnin muttered out.
As Katara kept her eyes on the new member joining them, she couldn't help but notice the strange feeling that fell over her. Turning back, her eyes burst open to the new figure that came into view, almost dropping the water on her shoulders from the shock she felt. "What… you are…"
"It's been a while, hasn't it?" Dabi chuckled as the flames on his hands danced. "It's refreshing you haven't forgotten my beautiful face."
Katara swallowed the lump forming in her throat seeing the man standing there, immediately realizing what was going on. Everything that they had heard about Burnin being the target was all a fabrication. The entire situation they had planned for was all a trap from the beginning, knowing that Endeavor would be set on finding out who was after his sidekick, but now she saw it was all a ruse. And with Dabi being here, she now saw who was the true target all along.
Herself.
Bakugo and Kendo both felt the same connection as well, remembering how determined the league member was during the forest raid, and now that he was here, they saw she was going to be targeted again. "Katara, get behind me!" Kendo shouted, stepping in front of her friend.
"That's cute, trying to keep your little classmate safe… as if you can punch your way to safety here." Kobura laughed out.
Itkomi nodded in agreement and stepped forward. "All of you are our guests,so why don't you-
"Ah!" one of the officers yelled out in panic and opened fire, spraying bullets at the hunter leader. Ducking back, Itkomi weaved out of the way of the bullets, flipping back and catching herself on her spider legs.
"Rude bastard…" she hissed out.
As the other officers grew frightened, X-Less took the chance and fired his laser eye quirk out towards the scorpion woman, growling as the hunter dropped down the ledge towards the ground below where they were. "Here they come!"
In the split second of time he had, Shishido's mind raced putting everything together. He growled inside seeing how all of them had fallen victim for Vixen's words, the girls information either false she was given, or she herself was in on the ruse. Being the confident heroes they were, they rushed in to take down these villains that had evaded them for so long that they put themselves in the worst scenario. Believing the main threats were in the other cities, the heroes did the usual plan of putting the students in what was considered the least dangerous location, something the Hunters planned on being made. And now we had the league of villains involved as well, changing the situation from bad to worse.
He fell right into the spider's web, and now he had to do something to help the others.
While glancing to the side, Shishido glared out knowing they had no other option. "All of you… take the kids and go!"
"What?" Kakeshita said in confusion.
"All of you take the kids to the side tunnel to the left. There has to be another path out of here to the surface, so take them and get contact with the others." Shishido's claws extended as he watched Sasori pinch her claws. "I'll hold them off."
Kendo's eyes widened at her mentor's plan, "What?! You can't do that! If you are-
"Kendo…" Shishido sighed out as he stepped forward. "You know as well as anyone that sometimes doing the right thing is risky. That's why I chose you. So you know sometimes… risks have to be taken for the greater good."
Kendo felt her mouth fall open to protest her mentor's words, but before she could say anything, Sasori leapt straight towards the group with her pinsors snapping shut. "None of you are going anywhere!"
"Come on freak, I'll kill you myself!" Bakugo shouted back, but felt the gust of wind whip by himself, eyes widening as Shishido burst forward and slammed his fist directly into the woman's face, launching her backwards.
"Fucker!" Sasori snapped out in rage as she crawled back up, spitting out the blood coming from her mouth.
"I said go!" Shishido yelled out, bracing his stance between the villains and his allies.
"Come on, we are going!" Takeshita shouted, running towards the other cavern passageway with Eelboy. The officers quickly ran after them, with Bakugo gritting his teeth before chasing after as well.
"You heard him, let's go!" X-less yelled at the remaining two teens, Katara nodding and turning herself.
"Kendo, come on…" She said, knowing with everything happening now, it was smartest to get out of here and get more help.
Taking a deep breath, Kendo frowned before nodding once more to her mentor before running with the others disappearing into the cave behind as Shishido stood alone. He stepped back as he kept his gaze on the others, watching the angry scorpion girl stand back up. "Care for another round?" he asked her, making her hiss in anger.
"I'll show you what happens when you touch me, ass hole!" Sasori screamed out, her four eyes wide in rage.
"He gave you a good shiner…" Kobura laughed out at his partners pain, cracking his neck and slithering forward. "Let's see what this lion can do."
"Stop…" The pair of hunters turned to the call from above, seeing Muteki grinning in excitement and baring his teeth. "This one will be mine."
Before Shishido could fully process it, his eyes widened as the raptor user burst down toward him, raising his arms up and blocking the roundhouse kick at his head. As the leg connected with his forearms, he gasped out from the intense impact rattling his core. "Shit!" he yelled as he was sent back into the wall, catching himself and moving just as Muteki burst forth and jousted his claws forward into the stone. Standing up, Shishido was certainly surprised by the strength of this man, feeling very similar to someone he knew.
'That impact… it felt as strong as one of her kicks…' he said, thinking back to his spars he had with Mirko. Now he understood what she meant by his power.
Ripping his claws free of the rock wall, Muteki flexed his fingers and chuckled to himself. "It's amusing you think you could've held us back for your little friends there. You should have just all rushed us at once, at least it would have been more fun for us."
"Damn it…" Sasori hissed out, wanting a piece of this hero after he hit her like that…. But she knew better than to get between Muteki and a target he wanted.
"Just do your job and get it done. It's time to do this." Itkomi demanded as her three pairs of eyes turned towards the cavern path the fleeing heroes took. They were technically right, since they did have a few paths leading out of the caves to the surface… but finding it was going to be impossible for them. "Go."
"I said you aren't-
Shishido was silenced as he had to block an incoming punch from Muteki, the impact cracking the air as he struggled to hold back the raptor's strength. Gritting his teeth, his eyes noticed the subtle movement to the side, turning in worry and seeing the others were gone now… all except the hunter wanting to fight the strongest hero in the cave.
Meanwhile in Niigata
"RAH!"
Muscular rushed forward and slammed his arms into the ground where Mirko just was, the rabbit hero flipping backwards and ready to land a kick on the league member. Before she could leap at him to land her own blow, her ear twitched to the laugh behind her, ducking down as Fisi launched himself and snapped his jaws at her. Skidding to a stop, the hyena flipped around and laughed out as he flexed his claws. "Ohh, so fast. This is so fun! HM hmm hmm!"
"Annoying bastard…" Mirko hissed and sprinted towards the door to get out of there, but she noticed the movement beside her almost matching her speed. Gritting her teeth, she kicked her leg out to hit the foe beside her, but only kicked air as Haraka sped away from her. Before she could chase him down, she dipped to the side as Fisi slashed towards her face. "God damn it…" She growled, "Get the hell out of my way! I don't have time for you idiots!"
"Oh, are we not good enough for you? I'm so hurt! HAHAHA!" Fisi laughed out and licked his lips. "You are so rude!"
"I don't give a shit about you losers. Now where the hell is that damn raptor?!" Mirko shouted, only getting chuckles from the others.
"He did say that you were a one track mind girl. Seems like he was right." Haraka smirked and cracked his knuckles. "And that's what got you here on your own."
Mirko gritted her teeth in anger hearing their comment. She was so set on facing Muteki that she rushed over here to hunt down her former friend, and she and the others relied on the information they received from the captured hunters member too much. Now she saw everything they planned had gone to shit, realizing the information they received from Vixen was all a ruse, and with the gun shots she heard outside gave her a cold feeling of what was happening with Kunamora and that fox. But now, her worry grew even more that Shishido wasn't responding, now fearing her target was where Bakugo and the others were.
"So I guess Tsumora is too much of a bitch that he wants to go after kids? Too afraid to fight me, is that it?!" She snapped out, making the two hunters laugh.
"I think he has some bigger things to focus on…" Haraka chuckled and flexed out his claws. "I know you missed him, but you shouldn't get too distracted about that right now."
Spitting on the ground, Mirko glared at the cheetah man. "I don't need to waste my time on you fools." she growled as she turned around to leave, but her ears twitched at the sudden crash, flipping around to see Muscular bursting towards her.
"You aren't going anywhere, bunny!" Muscular screamed in excitement as his body became engulfed in muscle fibers. "I've been waiting to kill someone else!"
Dodging the large arm shattering the ground beneath where she was, Mirko growled and readied to kick her leg at the league member, but her senses picked up the rapid movement coming from the side. She swung her leg out blocking the kick coming from Haraka, the hunters eyes widening as she shoved him back and shot out her own side kick directly at his face. His own speed saved the hunter, barely dodging the kick and swiping out his claws but only hit air. Mirko flipped through the air to land an axe kick on her foe, but she stopped and crossed her arms blocking the flying punch from Fisi.
"Now you're mine!" Muscular kicked off the ground and drew his large arm back, thrusting his fist into Mirko's leg that was raised to block him. Her eyes widened at the surprise in strength, her midair body launched backwards and crashing into the wall beside them.
"Damn it…" Mirko growled as she pushed herself up out of the crumbling wall, only to have to jump high in the air as Muscular barreled forward and smashed through the wall. As soon as she landed, she dropped into the splits ducking underneath Fisi's snapping jaws, her eyes widening as his teeth bit straight through a nearby steel post. Spitting out the metal, Fisi hissed out as he launched back at Mirko, snapping his teeth and swiping his claws at the rabbit hero.
Weaving out of range of the claws, Mirko flipped back onto her hands and launched herself forward, her legs drop kicking the hunter in his blocking arms sending him skidding backward. Having a moment of space open, Mirko turned again and sprinted towards the door, knowing she had to get back to Fujiyoshida fast to help the others.
"You aren't going anywhere!" Haraka shouted as he burst forward, cutting off the rabbit hero and thrusting his leg out to kick her. Mirko's leg rose up and stifled his attack, Haraka yelping internally as he made contact with her leg. 'Her leg didn't even budge!' He yelled internally, attempting to jump back before her hand shot out and grabbed his collar.
"I said get out of my way!" Mirko shouted and brought her leg forward to drive into Haraka's stomach, but instead connected with Fisi's forearms blocking her.
"HAHAHA!" Muscular roared in excitement as he dropped through the air towards the trio, the two hunters quickly shooting out to the side as Mirko flipped backwards dodging his crushing attack.
"Watch it, you bastard!" Haraka yelled at the large man, only making Fisi giggle himself.
"Rah!" Muscular swung his massive arm and drove it directly into Mirko's side, launching the heroine across the warehouse and smashing through the van parked in the center. "Hahaha! Now this is what I've wanted!"
"Hey asshole, you almost hit us there!" Haraka shouted at the larger man, only making him grin back at him.
"Then you better watch out. Anything under my fists is going to break today."
Glaring, Haraka shifted his leg several times from the numbness from earlier. "Jesus… her leg felt like steel."
"Hmmhmm hmm! Same here," Fisi giggled as he shook his arms, still feeling them sting from her attacks. "She's definitely stronger than she looks."
Haraka frowned to himself as he stood back up straight, also amazed by her agility. While he hadn't hit his max speed yet, he could certainly tell she wasn't either. He knew if it wasn't for the other two here, she would certainly have blitzed him before he could land a good hit. Now he understood why Muteki chose both he and Fisi to be the ones to hold her off along with this powerhouse to back them up. Speed and power together to throw her off.
Suddenly, the crushed portion of the van burst outward, revealing Mirko's hand gripping the side of the smashed wall and pulling herself out. A small stream of blood fell down her forehead alongside the gash on her right shoulder, but that didn't stop the grin that spread across her face.
"Looks like you fuckers aren't going to let me out of here, are you?" she growled out as she stepped onto the ground, earning a laugh from Muscular.
"I always heard you were pretty tough, but you don't seem that big and bad to me," he snickered, staring down at the short woman. "I felt what All Might can do with a hit, so I know you are going to be nothing like that."
While he knew there was a lot more to this hero, Haraka smirked knowing they had the advantage in numbers here. "I think you don't understand the situation here. You aren't going to-
"I don't think you understand, pussycat," Mirko chuckled as she licked at the blood on her lip before spitting it onto the ground, "You bastards should have gone with the bullshit information you gave us. That means you wouldn't have had to face me here. After I beat the shit out of all of you here, I'm going to get that lying fox bitch after I break Muteki's legs. So… you ass holes wanna dance? Then let's dance!"
From outside the warehouse, Vixen watched in amusement through the binoculars at the fight below. While the view was limited through the small opening, she could see the trio was successfully keeping the rabbit hero in check.
"She's as quick as I had heard, but I don't get all the fuss about her…" Vixen muttered to herself before snickering, "Maybe I should get down there and let the fox hunt the rabbit." Her ears flicked as she caught the sound of flapping wings above, frowning as she lowered the binoculars down as the gust rushed past her. Lifting her arm up, she was quickly hoisted off the roof and sped through the air, glancing up to the falcon user holding her. "Took you long enough to get here."
Sokudo grunted in annoyance as he flapped his wings. "You literally just messaged me two minutes ago and you're complaining?"
"Took me a moment to find a phone on one of those idiot's bodies." Vixen sighed out as they flew higher out of sight. "It's good you were still doing recon nearby since they brought me out."
"I thought you were still in custody at their station," Sokudo admitted, only making Vixen chuckle.
"It would've been better for them to have left me, then poor little rabbit girl would have her backup."
"Yeah, about that…" Sokudo glared down at his passenger. "What the hell was that? We were supposed to take prisoners alive."
Rolling her eyes, Vixen spit in annoyance. "They wanted heroes and those students. No one gives a shit about some useless cops that get killed or some unknown wannabe hero I capped. They were useless baggage."
"Any bargaining chip is better than a body. You were always a loose cannon like Muteki." Sokudo sneered, making Vixen scoff.
"Please, I'm just good at what I do. You're almost as much as a stiff as slappy the seal. Besides, I can always head down and give those boys a hand with Mirko."
"The plan is to head back to the cave and help secure our prizes before the top heroes can head back to help. Haraka and the other two are just meant to keep her stalled for a bit and then they get out of there themselves. Besides, we aren't risking more of us facing her."
"Oh please…" Vixen scoffed after hearing that, "You're just being paranoid since Muteki says she was better than him before he became serious." She felt the claws around her forearm tighten, raising her eyebrow as she noticed his brow furrow. "What?"
"I actually watch what heroes do in the field, and I've seen what she can do over the years…" Sokudo muttered out, "More than her speed and her power, it's the ferocity of how she fights that scares me. Other than Endeavor, I think she is the hero I would want to face the least."
Vixen sat in silent surprise at the comment, watching as the ground past below them as they flew back towards their base.
Hunters cave
"Come on, we should be back there kicking their asses!" Bakugo barked out after the heroes leading them, only receiving a glare from Katara.
"Didn't you see what happened? Everything was a lie that we were told!" She shouted at him, "They warned us how dangerous the leaders were, and both of them are here. That means we need to get out of here." internally, she also grew worried seeing that Dabi was here, and that meant other members of the league could be here too.
"I wanna know something," Burnin scoffed out, "How the hell did they get past both Endeavor, Mirko and everyone else setting this thing up?!"
From the lead, the hero X-less grunted as they made their way further. "They knew how heroes operate with students. They never bring kids to the front lines of the most dangerous locations, not wanting to risk the younger generation too early before they are ready. By doing that, they got all the big hitters on our side out of the way of their own."
"So we walked right into a god damn trap then…" Bakugo gritted his teeth in annoyance, "It all did seem too perfect of a chance."
As they ran through the cavern, they suddenly came to a large room, with multiple tunnels leading to different paths. "Great, so what the hell do we do now?" One of the officers sneered out.
"We have to get out of here! Let's just split up and find the exit!" another shouted.
"We can't just split up without knowing what's down each path," Eel Boy explained. "Who knows if there are more members further in these caves."
"Shishido can't hold them all off forever. We have to make a choice!" the bamboo hero Takeshita shouted out.
"He certainly can't hold us all back,"
Everyone's back felt a chill crawl up to the cold voice from above, looking up to see Itkomi hanging from the ceiling above. "Oh shit!" another officer gasped as he and the others aimed their guns up and fired. The spider woman dropped down weaving through the bullets, her long spider legs stretching out as she slammed into the ground in the center of the group. Webbing shot out from her fingers and latched onto many of the guns and whipped backwards, ripping them from their grip and throwing them into the air. Eel boy tried sprouting one of the eels from his hand to attack from the side, but one of Itkomi's eyes darted to the side seeing the action, shooting out a web stream and grabbing him before throwing him across the clearing.
"Time to kill you spider-
Burnin gasped as her mouth was sealed shut from a stream of webbing, gagging as she felt her breathing become blocked as she clawed at the sticky substance. Igniting her palms, she burned the strings free before coughing out, but yelped as another of the thrown officers crashed into her stomach.
"Look out!" Katara swung her arm and shot her water whip forward, latching onto one of Itkomi's legs before she could stab one of the officers. Seeing her stopped only made the spider woman chuckle, one of her other eyes turned and locked onto the waterbender.
"That is a neat power you have," she chuckled out as she simultaneously dodged a laser shot from X-less, swinging her leg and breaking free of the water. "Such a shame you won't live long enough to perfect it!"
In what felt like a split second, Itkomi's hands shot out multiple webs to the ceiling above, yelling out as she pulled down shattering the stone all around. "Shit, look out!" X-less yelled out, using his laser quirk to blast through some of the dropping stones before having to jump back dodging the excess he couldn't hit.
Katara gasped as she rolled out of the way of a falling chunk of the ceiling, spinning her arms around and slashing through some of the small rocks dropping. She opened her right gauntlet and shot out several smaller streams, grabbing onto the small rocks above and crashing them into other rocks saving two officers. "Get away from the center of the cave! Head towards the sides!" she shouted at them, turning in panic to see Itkomi staring right at her. She could tell the woman was focused on her, and that small distraction threw off her concentration enough as Itkomi shot out a web directly at her… but Bakugo blasted through, pushing Katara out of the way and rolling across the ground on top of her.
"Get your head straight, Hair loops! Come on!" Bakugo yelled out as he opened his palms up, blasting away the large chunks of stone dropping down above. "We are going to beat this spider chick!"
"I got it!" Katara shouted, slashing her water up and cutting through another boulder. "We have to get out of this place though and-
"Gah!"
Katara turned around and panicked as Kendo was rolling out of the way of another collapsing rock, tripping just as more of the ceiling was dropping down. "Kendo!" She shouted, shooting out her water stream and pushing her friend out of the way and down through one of the pathways. Before she could get up however, Kendo disappeared as more debris collapsed and blocked off her pathway. "Kendo!"
"God damn it!" Burnin shot out a fireball at the hunters leader, glaring as she missed and ignited both hands. "Ryujin, get the hell out of here! You and those kids go!"
"I'm not leaving you here!" Katara shouted back, but suddenly another loud crack above caught their attention.
Eel Boy saw more of the ceiling was going to collapse, but then saw this as a way to keep the teens out of Itkomi's reach. Not even saying anything, he activated his quirk and shot out the massive eel heads from his hands and latched onto both Burnin and Bakugo.
"What the…?" Katara said in shock.
"Hey, what the hell?!" Bakugo shouts out in confusion.
"What's your deal, man?!" Burnin shook in the large eel mouth.
"Get to the surface, go!" Eel boy said as he sent the pair away and into two different tunnels, with X-less seeing what was going on instantly. Waiting for the moment Eel Boy retracted his quirk with nothing in his grasp, X-less shot out his laser blast and caved in the paths where both Bakugo and Burnin went… much to Itkomi's annoyance.
"The hell are you doing?" Itkomi growled out, seeing more targets being pushed away from her.
"Keeping you away from the kids," Eel Boy declared, ready to shoot out his quirk to do the same for Katara, but screamed out as one of Itkomi's legs pierced through his palm.
Hissing through her teeth, Itkomi ripped her leg back out of the man's hand. Despite the fact they were all still in the caves, she always grew annoyed when even small inconveniences came up. She just liked it when things went her way. "Just quit causing problems for me." she growled out, turning back to Katara. "I'd rather just get what I want."
Katara breathed heavily as she readied her stance, but suddenly she was grabbed from behind and thrown out of the way of the stream of webs shooting out. Crawling up, she only had a moment before the bamboo hero Takeshita grabbed her and ran through another tunnel path. "Wait, what are you doing?!" she shouted.
"Getting you out of here!" he responded, pushing her forward.
"What about everyone else?! We can't leave them!"
"It's not your call!" Takeshita turned back around and dropped and looked to X-less. "Do it now!"
Katara's eyes shot open realizing what was going to happen. "No! We can't just-
Her words were ignored as a laser shot out, cutting through the mouth of the path they were in, collapsing it shut and cutting them off from the main cavern. Itkomi glared as the rocks bounced across the floor, seeing all of the teenagers now closed off from her now. While she knew they were still not getting out because the others still coming, she still grew agitated seeing them having to change the plan before they got here. They had already separated Shishido, so there was no more reasons to split up the others. Now she just became pissed, and sometimes she happened to lose her temper when things didn't go her way.
"You creepy bitch!" One of the cops yelled as he took his rifle, popping off several rounds at the woman who spun dodging the bullets and shot out a stream of webs ensnaring him and yanking him towards her, grabbing him by the shoulder and latching her fangs into his throat.
She didn't care she killed one of her hostages, knowing they had plenty more to use still. She threw his twitching body to the side, spitting out blood as she turned towards the others grabbing their weapons. "You can't just make it easy for us, can you?" she hissed out and licked her lips clean. "You're just making this more painful for all of you."
Groaning, Burnin crawled up from the ground as she rubbed her head, sore from the hit she took. After a moment she shook her head clear, she looked up and saw the pathway lined with small lights across the ceiling, and realized what happened and flipped around. "Shit!" She shouted as she saw the path she went down was closed off now, completely filled with rocks and debris. "Ryujin! Ryujin!"
She pressed her hands against the large boulders that fell blocking her path back, seeing they were not budging an inch. "Shit… Hey Ryujin! X-less! Can you hear me?!"
"Burnin! Go and find help!" X-less shouted from the other side, following by a barrage of bullets and yells everywhere. "Go!"
"What's going on?! Where are the kids?!" she yelled back.
"They aren't here! Go and get Endeavor!"
Burnin gritted her teeth and ignited her fists to try and blast through the rocks, but something caught her attention as she spun around and chucked a fireball forward. She glared as she watched the green fire hit nothing as Kubura slithered out of the way, the cobra man spitting out his own venom straight at her. Yelling, she thrust her hands out releasing the stream of fire, clashing and causing the venom to sizzle and evaporate. "So the slug made his way over here, huh?" Burnin spat out.
Snickering, Kobura's forked tongue flicked in and out as he raised back up. "I'm certainly faster than any slug, girl. Everyone knows snakes are the deadliest reptiles."
"Snakes have always been on my shit list, buddy," Burnin retorted, "Creep me out how you drag across the ground like that."
"Ouch, so rude…" He chuckled out, "I thought Endeavor would've given you some manners in training."
"He did show me how to kick ass, and that's what I'm going to do to you for coming after me," Burnin growled out, only bringing a chuckle from the snake man.
"Who ever said we were hired to get you?" Kobura hissed out, making Burnin's eyes widen. "Doesn't really matter, though. You're still not leaving this cave no matter what you do."
Running down the cavern she was pushed through, Kendo looked around frantically as she tried finding anyone else. The interweaving tunnel systems were impossible to know where she was, everything looking similar to her at this point now. Not to mention whatever little sound she heard in the distance of the caves was echoing in all directions, making it not possible to find out where it was coming from.
"Shit… shit!" She shouted at herself, a bit of panic beginning to form in her mind now with what had happened. She was already on edge coming here to face these criminals, but now it had "gone completely worse than the plan they came up with. "Hey! Is anyone there?! Hello!"
As she rounded another corner, she gasped out as a large scaled tail swung towards her, dropping down just as the tail crashed into the wall above her head. Jumping back, she caught her breath as she was now staring up to the shirtless crocodile man Rogue, almost identical to the first time to when she first ran into him weeks back. "You…"
Grunting humorously, Rogue cracked his knuckles as he towered over the red headed teen. "I remember you, girl. You never apologized for getting in my way. And now you don't have your lion hero here to help you this time."
Glaring, Kendo stepped back several times as she watched the muscular croc man step towards her, seeing he was nearly a meter taller than she was. As Rogue roared out and through a punch towards her, she jumped to the side and yelped as his large jaws lunged towards her. She barely dipped to the side as he snapped his mouth shut, expanding her right hand and leaped at the hunter. "Rah!" she shouted as she collided her hand directly into Rogue's massive head, the crack ringing through the air from the impact. To Kendo's shock, she felt the hit recoil slightly into her hand, yelping as she landed back on the ground, her hand shaking slightly from the sting she felt. "Jesus… The hell is with his head?!"
Grunting out, Rogue let out a chuckle and clenching his claws. "The skull of a crocodile is solid bone. It's just as hard as the strongest steel." he said out loud… despite gritting his teeth and hissing internally from the punch he took.
'What the hell is with this girl's fists? It felt like I just got hit by a truck…'
"Damn it!" Bakugo yelled out in annoyance as he rushed through the cavern pass he was stuck in, looking for another way out. While he could have tried and blasted his way out of where he was, without knowing the strength of the rest of the structure and who was nearby, it was simply too risky to do that. "That damn place better have a path back to the main area. I'm going to kill that stupid spider woman!"
As he blasted himself further down the pathway, he soon came to a larger grotto filled with long columns running up and down connecting the ceiling and the floor. As soon as he came to a stop, he looked around seeing if there was another path leading out of here, but then his ears suddenly picked up the sounds of something scraping against stone before something cracked. He looked up and saw one of the jagged stalactites falling straight towards him, the teen yelling out as he blasted the pointed rock to bits. As the rock shattered however, his eyes widened as he saw the sharp pinsors coming through the smoke at his face.
"Shit!" He snapped as he dipped to the side, the sharp claws grazing the hairs on his head before he sparked out his hands and shot out another blast, just missing the scorpion woman as she landed on the ground and leaped at him again. Gritting his teeth as he jumped backwards, he brought his feet back and braced himself off a column and kicked off as the scorpion tail shot forward shattering the stone. Now above her, Bakugo aimed downward and let loose. "Die!"
The bright explosion erupted out and rocked the grotto, causing cracks through the other sections. Landing back down, Bakugo growled as he saw the smoke clear to see Sasori standing there, having evaded the blast he let out. "So I got the other bug chick instead of the big baddie, huh?" Bakugo spat out.
"You'd have actually been better off with her instead of me," Sasori retorted as she brushed her short purple hair aside with her claws. "She may have actually taken you out fast. I have the bad habit of having too much fun with my prey when I hunt."
Snickering, Bakugo grinned at the woman, "You didn't seem that tough when you got your face busted in back there."
Feeling her eyes twitch, Sasori's tail flicked in annoyance as she snapped her pinsors. "You better learn to watch your mouth, you little shithead."
"Oh I don't need anything to learn from you," he chuckled and punched his fist into his palm. "All except the path from here back to your boss. And I don't mind beating the shit out of a woman for the answer."
Katara pushed against the rocks as she tried getting back to the cavern, pounding at the boulders blocking their path back. She gritted her teeth as she heard the bullets ringing on the other side of the blockade, ready to open her canteen and cut through the rocks. "Stop, we need to find the exit!" Takeshita ordered, making Katara glare and turn around at him.
"Why did you do that? We left everyone inside trapped!" She shouted.
"We had to keep you and the other young ones safe. The more between us and that woman, the better!" he yelled back at her.
"And that means you left everyone else behind? How could you do that?!"
"Because we made a choice. We all will put ourselves in the way of you kids getting hurt, and with all of you out that means you can find the exit fast and get connection to the others."
"But what about everyone? Are we supposed to just let them die holding back these villains?!" Katara disputed, not knowing where the others went either. "And who says any of these path's even goes up to the surface?! You guys could have trapped Burnin or the others inside!"
"We had a moment to act and we did. We got you away from Itkomi and it was more important than anything." Takeshita took a breath to try and compose himself. "A kid getting hurt under our watch would be something I could never live with, and that's why we did what we did."
"That's so honorable of you, heroes."
Both Katara and Takeshita's eyes widened at the deep voice, turning towards the cavern path to see a massive figure walking towards them through the faint light. Once he came into view, they now saw the burgundy jumpsuit over the large leopard seal man stepping their direction. As Kavik cracked his knuckles, he sighed out seeing the caved in wall behind them. "This wasn't expected, but it's amusing you thought splitting apart meant you had more of a chance to escape. Every path out of this place is watched, and every one of you aren't going anywhere."
