answer. Honestly? no I didn't. I originally planned for Yaoyorozu to begin having feelings for Shoto as well, which would have strained her and Katara's friendship. As soon as I wrote the first beach chapter however, all of that was changed and became a totally different plan.

Yes. from chapter one I had planned for Shoto and Katara to be together. Especially with the interactions with Endeavor, I wanted to use that as a point to create tension for them, but in the end to grow close. and as you see now in the story, to cause more trouble.

Uhh... no haha never watched duck tales. His is somewhat from Hawks design but a more mutant variation with bird talons for hands.

I mean we had the section from ch. 68 , but most likely no. it is shown they have all accepted what has happened and moving on with their lives. I know sounds depressing, but this is the direction of the story I wanted to go.

Soulfinder from fanfiction- Why did you have Kendo become part of Class 1A?

From a while back I had planned on Kendo being a decent role in the story, including taking part in this arc currently. In fact I somewhat regret now not having her beat Tokoyami in the festival and having to fight Bakugo. the switching to class 1A was actually an in the spur moment, thinking it would actually make sense to keep the "Troublemakers" in one class. and she's one of my favorite characters who deserved more screen time.

Rickylupetto from Discord- Was Katara your first thought for the story or were there other characters?

Katara was the reason I made this. as I looked, I realized there was not a single MHA x Avatar story on fanfiction that focused on her. Most did Toph or Zuko, but Katara was always a fan favorite of mine and deserved her time to shine. It's crazy as I was writing and literally the day before I posted the first chapter, the author Samurai Prince posted his story "The Effect of Water". After talking with each other and seeing we were going to go different directions, I decided to post it and here we are now.

Animal quirks to me are so underused in the series, and it made an interesting fighting style instead of laser beams and other kinds of powers.

I personally like action fics, which is what I wrote back when i did fanfiction about 10 years ago before doing too many at once and burning out. Now there are two kinds of fics I hate.

one is OP alternate fics. these stories where you take your character, create some BS alternate reality where they are an OP god and usually have a harem of woman. so rediculous and so uninteresting.

the other is fake crossovers. What I mean is stories that use a characters name to give it the crossover tag, and yet has absolutely no characteristics or even connection to their other world. When you have naruto in a dragon ball z crossover where he is born a saiyan, and has not one connection to the shinobi world or the same personality or powers, just make him an OC. using the name to suck viewers in is a cheap way to create something.

Magical Grill from Discord- Do you plan on taking Touya's character arc in a different direction than in the manga/anime?

Yes. as you've seen already, Dabi/Touya's journey is far different and more apparent than canon. This entire arc currently is because of his drive, and what comes next is even more crazy. can't wait!

Malcolmmc20- Will Katara be able to ice bend like an earthbender?

Hmm... Technically she could. She is already using earthbender techniques like shattering ice, but its not really her style. She can adapt of course, but as we know... she is stubborn.

Wallopwand from fanfiction- Why did you have that build up for Tokoyami and Katara ship only to not do it?

Okay... this is one I still see comments from. During the USJ arc, I saw a lot of people commenting on how cute they seemed together, I assumed simply playing off each other as good friends. But after the beach arc I started rereading it and unknowingly made decent chemistry. unfortunately, it came to the fact he was a good friend to her... and that was it. I know the whole part of him being bullied is outdated now, since canon shows he wasn't bullied, but that alone adds to his character.

Hmm, well Tenya is like a brother and with Shoto being her boyfriend now I won't count them. I would definitely say Mina, Tokoyami, Momo, Izuku, and recently maybe Kendo. next closest group would be Jiro, Tsu, Kirishima, and Uraraka.

I'll be honest and say... No. There was always going to be spiritual energy inside of her, but the idea of putting Kyoshi inside of her just added a dynamic I had to explore. And with it now I have something big... next chapter in fact.
