The camera panned over to the cheering crowd once again. They all looked genuinely excited when the announcer said the match. Yubie has always been one for theatrics so it's no surprise that the crowd wants to see her duel first. Nonetheless I still felt a little jealous.

Bonnie: Wow! Yubie's going first! So exciting.

Cael: Ugh.

Bonnie: Aren't you excited big bro! Miss Yubie is awesome!

Cael: I guess so. She's a bit of a dork though. Not to mention cocky.

Taka: Aw don't be such a negative nancy, Cael, Yubie will do great! I'm sure she'll use her evil eye powers to defeat pocah's spirits!

Taka joked.

Cael: You joke but I'll bet you she'll say something like that.

Taka: Ha, I don't doubt it!

Announcer: Coming in at 14 years old, the girl who describes herself as an evil empress who'll conquer this city - Yubie Kattobin!

The crowd cheered for the third time as yubie walked into the arena. She came from the left vomitorium and wore her traditional outfit. She already had her duel disk on and had a slight smirk as she was welcomed by the crowd.

Announcer: Yubie first faced Jason Jackson in the first round, she demolished him by using her utopia monsters!

As the announcer explained yubie's backstory, I realized something.

Cael: Seems like that got rid of that cringey 'wally' guy.

Taka: Heh, Yeah. Hearing that guy talk about his tv show made me even cringe a little. Reminded me of my father's antics.

Taka added.

Announcer: -She'll be facing Pocah Tequila. A duelist that believes in herself and her spirits!

Announcer: Pocah Tequila first faced off against Akari Tanaka in the first round, decimating her by using her own cards against her!

Cael: (Using her own cards against her? What does that mean?)

My questions wouldn't be answered for awhile but nonetheless pocah entered from the right side of the arena. She also had her duel disk on already, just like yubie. She held a white feather in her left hand which she held up to the sky once she got to her place in the arena.

Announcer: Both of our challengers are herreeeeeeee!

The announcer screeched.

Announcer: Before we start though, is there anything you two would like to say to each other?

Yubie: Yes Indeed!

Yubie: Pocah, You black hearted spiritualist! You will be defeated by me and my evil eye!

Cael and Taka: Called it!

We both said to ourselves and chuckled.

Pocah: Yubie, your theatrics are amusing but I have something more than my mouth to rely on.

Pocah: -My spirits. They will guide me through this trial. What can you say, Non-believer?

Yubie: I don't need your spirits! I just need to believe in myself!

Announcer: Is that all from you two? Then without further ado, Let's start the match!

The announcer nodded and the two girls prepared. Their duel disks turned on and they both shoved their decks into the deck chamber. They both stepped to the center of the arena. Both of them glared at each other, they didn't have passion like Leonaidis and Azuma, they had a strong resolve instead! It was something that even I could feel.

Pocah and Yubie: Let's duel!

Yubie LP: 8000

A coin flip commenced, Yubie chose heads, Pocah chose tails.
*Chink* The coin flip happened and after a couple of seconds the coin landed on tails, meaning Pocah would go first!

Pocah: I suppose fate favors the bold!

Yubie: Ugh.

They both drew their starting cards and began the duel.

Bonnie: Oh boy! I wonder what deck Miss Pocah plays! I hope it's not ghosts!

Taka: Are you spooked easily, Bonnie? Don't worry, I'll protect you.

Cael: Stop wooing my sister taka!

I screeched, taka chuckled as I rolled my eyes. I turned back to the duel

Pocah: I summon Quiyapuil Hoctezuma!

A monster that could best be described as a dwarf appeared. It was a humanoid that incredibly and had dark brown skin that at a closer glance seemed to be rocks. He definitely was a shaman as he had a summoning staff in his hand!

Pocah: When Quiyapuil Hoctezuma is summoned, I can summon Quiyapuil Hotchley-Potchely from my hand.

A small dragon monster appeared. It was serpent-like with a bendy body and a snake-like head covered by a mask. Tiny wings fluttered on its back as it loomed next to hoctezuma. It was summoned in defense mode.

Yubie: The earth is our and ours alone to conquer, the spirits of the netherworld live beyond our reach. The only thing left for us to do is master this planet!

Yubie proclaimed.

Cael: These two are so embarrassing to watch….

Bonnie: Ehehe, I think they're cute and funny!

Cael: (How does anything they say convey 'cute and funny'?)

Pocah: You have a very warped view of our spirits. But don't worry, I'll purify your soul soon enough.

Pocah: One card face down, is my final move.

Pocah said as a face down card appeared on her field.

Cael: Oh come on, this is an obvious trap. Two weak monsters and a facedown? I hope yubie isn't dull enough to fall for this.

Taka: Never underestimate yubie's stupidity- er, eccentricity.

Taka mumbled.

Yubie: Demon Draw!

Yubie exclaimed, Drawing a card from her deck.

Yubie: Ehehehe! This hand is a gift from the gods…

Yubie: I summon Gagaga Magician!

From yubie's hand came a monster best described as a typical spellcaster. It had a titled hat, slightly loose black armor and a flowing orange cape. The only thing noticeable about it was the chain that it wore around its arm.

The crowd cheered as it was obvious what yubie was about to do!

Yubie: I use these two monsters to build the overlay network!

Gagaga Magician and gagaga girl transformed into two glowing orbs that floated midair. A shining vortex soon that was reminiscent of space itself soon appeared in the middle of the field as this was happening. The two orbs flew into the vortex causing a single beam of light to explode out of it!
