The Ghost of Christmas Future from A Christmas Carol always seems to get a bad rap for being a personification of Death; this was written to fix this impression. I, for one, can relate to this ghost on a personal level; hopefully, this brief short holds a suitable explanation why. Please enjoy.

This is a series of three works, each in a different style, commenting on and expanding the themes in Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol". Each section begins with a short introduction to the theme being explored. It was written for a class project, though I suppose it counts as fan fiction, and will do well as my first entry here. In the end, Ebenezer Scrooge was not redeemed. As in the vision of the Ghost of Christmas Past, relief and even joy follows his passing. But there is one person who feels compassion and loyalty to the miser. (Obviously A/U. Oneshot)
