Chapter 7

A reunion.

Back at Backupsmore Stanford and Stanley. Left Stanford's dorm they went out to Stanley's car and got into it. Stanley fired up his El Diablo and drove headed toward the New York border. Three hours later James arrived at Dave's diner in Columbus Ohio. James parked his car and got out. He went to the back door and opened. James helped her out of the car. And they went into the diner. James asked where the bathrooms are and the waitress showed them. Lilith went into the woman's room and used the bathroom. Then she went up to the sink and washed her hands. She got into her bag and got out her medicine and took it. Lilith put her medicine back in her bag.

She left the bathroom and went back out to James's car. The young woman opened the back door. She got back in and shut the door. Lilith laid down on the back seat and sighed. In the diner James has finished in the men's room. He looked around and didn't see Lilith. So went went back out to his car. He looked in the back and saw that she's laying on the back seat.

"Would you like to go in and get something to eat?" asked James

Lilith shook her head and replied "No thank you." James looked at Lilith and saw a bruised and broken woman. He sighed and shook his head. Then he went to the drivers side and got in. After a while Lilith asked "Who is your friend? And where is he?" James looked in the rear view mirror and replied "He's on his way. And trust me he will take good care of you." All James in response was a sigh. An hour later an red El Diablo pulled up next to James's car. James looked over at the car and saw Stanley. He got out of his car and Stanley and Stanford got out of The Stanmobile.

"Thank you so much James. I don't know how I'll ever repay you." stated Stanford

"Well can start by giving me the 150 dollars you owe me." quipped James

Stanford smiled, got out his wallet, and gave James 150 dollars. Then Stanford looked around and asked "Where is she?" James went over to the back of his car and pointed. Stanford and Stanley looked in and saw. A woman with black poofy hair with streaks of red going through it. The woman has pointed ears, pale skin, bruises on her legs, and a cast on her left leg. Stanford looked back at James and asked "What happened to her?" James shrugged and replied "I don't know. All I know is that she has a broken leg. And she is sick that's all I know."

Stanford opened the back door and said "Lilith my dear." Lilith looked and saw a young man with dark brown hair, wearing a blue short sleeve shirt, black shorts, and has black glasses. She sat up and asked "Who are you?" Stanford smiled and replied " It's me Lilith." Lilith tilted her head and looked at the young man in front of her. Stanford saw the confusion in Lilith's eyes. So he sat next to her and held up his hands. Lilith's eyes went wide when she saw six fingers. On the young man's large hands.

"Stanford is that you?" asked Lilith

"Yes it's me my dear friend. I'm sorry it took so long to find you. But it's good to see you." replied Stanford

Lilith quickly moved over to Stanford, wrapped her arms around him, buried her face in his shirt, and started crying. Stanford at first was caught off guard. But returned the hug and said "There, there my dear it's going to be alright." Five minutes later Lilith started calming down and pulled away.

"Sorry about that it's just so good to see you." sniffled Lilith

"It's ok Lilith I'm happy to see you too. Now come let's go." stated Stanford

Stanford helped Lilith out of James's car and got her crutches. He lead Lilith over to The Stanmobile. Lilith looked and saw another young man. He looks a looks a lot like Stanford. Just he has a bigger build. She smiled and said "It's good to see you too Stanley." Stanley gave her a hug and said "It's good to see you too sweety." He pulled away and opened the back door of his car. Lilith got in and Stanley closed the door. Stanley got into the divers seat. And Stanford decided to sit in the back with Lilith. Stanley and Stanford thanked James again and they left. As Stanley drove Lilith told them what has happened to her over the years.

They are glad that at least some people treated Lilith with kindness. And are disgusted that everyone else treated her so poorly. Three hours later they arrived at their house in Northville New York. They all got out of The Stanmobile. Stanford got into the trunk and got his bags. Lilith got her bag and they went into the house. Once in the house Stanley went into the living room. He went over to the couch and folded it out. Lilith saw what he was doing and asked "Are you sure?" Stanley nodded replied "It's all good Stanford and I have other places to sit." A couple of days later Lilith is feeling much better. Thanks to Stanley and Stanford getting a hold of their mom.

They asked her how to get hair dye out of someones hair. The black hair dye has come out. And Lilith is back to her natural hair color. Lilith wants to do something for Stanford. And she knows just what she wants to do. When she saw Stanley walk by she asked "Stanley can you do a favor?"

"Sure I can sweety." replied Stanley

"I want to do something for you brother. Could you get me a block of wood and a wood carving kit?" asked Lilith

"Sure I can do that for you." assured Stanley

Fifteen minutes later Stanley came back with. A block of wood and wood carving kit. He gave everything to Lilith and she said "Thank you." Stanley smiled and said "No problem." Lilith got into her bag and got out a book on birds. She flipped through the book until she got into the owls. Lilith started looking through the owls. And so far none of them seem to speak to her. That is until she got to the great horned owl. Lilith smiled and got to work carving. A month has passed and Lilith and Stanford. Have just got back from the hospital. Lilith had an x ray done on her leg and it's fully healed. The cast has come off but she still has to use her crouches. Until she can walk without them.

Both Stanley and Stanford plan on helping Lilith. Get the strength back in her leg. Now back at the house Lilith sat down. And Stanford sat next to her.

"Do you feel comfortable me? Where you come from?" asked Stanford

"My full name is Lilith Clawthorne. I come from the demon realm. From a place called the Boiling Isles." replied Lilith

"The Boiling Isles I think that I read about that. In a book of myth and legend. I can also call James." mused Stanford

He stood and went into the kitchen. He picked up the phone and dialed James's number. It rang a couple of times and Stanford James pick up.

"Hello James speaking." stated James

"Hi James it's Stanford. Lilith told me that she's from the demon realm. From a place called the Boiling Isles." informed Stanford

"Hmm I could do some digging and asking around." assured James

"Thanks James give me a call if you. Find anything out." stated Stanford

"No problem." said James

Stanford hung up the phone and. Looked into the living room. He can see Lilith working on something. Stanford just smiled and went to go find Stanley. At the end of the week Stanford was in his bedroom. When he heard Lilith asked "Stanford could you come here please?" Stanford left his room and went into the living room.

"Do you need something Lilith?" asked Stanford

"No not really. But please hold out your hands." replied Lilith

Stanford shrugged and held out his hands. Lilith put a wooden owl in his hands. Stanford looked at the wooden owl in his hands. He is amazed on how detailed it is. And he can tell it's a great horned owl.

"Wow Lilith I love it thank you." marveled Stanford

"I wanted to do something for you. Like you did for me." stated Lilith

Stanford set down the owl and gave Lilith a hug. Lilith snuggled into the hug. She has been enjoying the feeling of positive touch. And the fact that she has nothing to fear anymore.
