To The End
Chapter 10
Bailey's eyes went wide. A surprised expression coming across his face.
"I don't believe you. If you're really my dad. When was i born?" Bailey asked.
"It was afternoon. It was raining and sunny at the same time."
"You were our pot of gold." Felix said.
"Where have you been?" Bailey asked.
"This is more then enough for tonight." Brooke said.
"Let's get you inside honey." Brooke added in. Wrapping her arm around Bailey.
"I'll wait out here." Felix said.
...
"Did you know he was going to show up here tonight.?" Bailey asked. As he opened the door to the hallway. Dressed in his favorite PJ's. Blue and grey. With the Raven symbol on the back.
Brooke entered his room and closed the door behind herself.
"No i had no idea. If i knew he was coming here i would of prepared you. He's really you're father. You weren't supposed to meet him like that. He didn't ruin the fun of today right.?" Brooke asked.
"No. It's just confusing. He had a way to find us and stayed away all this time. I just want to know why." Bailey replied.
"I don't have those answers. I do need to warn you though."
"Not to get too attached." Brooke cautioned.
"But momma you loved him. There has to be something good inside of him somewhere. Right.?" Bailey asked.
Brooke sighed deeply. She leaned over to kiss his forehead.
Told him how much she loved him and left the room.
Truthfully she didn't know how to answer that.
To her surprise. Felix had remained on their front porch.
Brooke prepared herself then went out to face him.
He smiled at her. And she saw traces of their son.
She had blocked the image of him for so long now.
Seeing him in person. Was like reopening a raw wound.
"You showing up here. Telling my son that you're his father."
"Acting as if 12 years never happened. And you claim you changed."
"It seems like the same verison of you i remember."
"Impulsive. Self involved. Careless."
"Why should i believe anything you say or do?"
"My life is calm and settled. Full of routine and responsibilty."
"You should just go back to where you were and forget this address." Brooke proclaimed.
"I don't want to do that. We're a family. I walked away once."
"I'm not doing that anything. You just have to trust me." Felix insisted.
"I don't know you and the verison of me you remember is long gone." Brooke said.
"I have rights Brooke. I'm his father." Felix said.
"Fertilizing an egg doesn't make you a father."
"You had a PI watching me. Someone you walked away from."
"That isn't love. I don't know what that is." Brooke said.
"You're single. You've been waiting for me. You don't date."
"You miss how it feels to be close to each other as much as i do."
"You just won't admit that but i can see it. In you're eyes on you're face." Felix said.
Brooke turned from him and walked back inside the home.
...
"You have Brooke's cell number because of that business card. You have to call her. You don't ignore the universe sending you signs." Mouth said.
"He's right. You've been into Brooke Davis since freshman year."
"What are you waiting on? A successful beautiful woman like that won't stay single forever." Skills said.
"I don't think she's trying to date anyone right now."
"I don't want to push and seem all eager and desperate plus being friends first feels alot more natural. Plus she has a kid."
"I have to be careful about getting involved at all." Lucas replied.
