The dragon team reviving Goku by using the dragon balls would be the same as canon. However, this was the first time Goten sees Shenron. Just like in the original, Vegeta and Nappa would land on Earth and invade East City. Then the two searched for Raditz's killer. Meanwhile, the Z fighters have arrived in Paprika Wastelands as they meet with Piccolo since they can feel the Saiyan's ki. The two finally appeared, and they made Piccolo question his identity. Whereas he was part of an alien race called Namekians, not a demon. Kami has found out about this too.
The fight would go the same as the original. Until one of the saibaimen latched onto Yamcha. Whereas, Goten stands no chance against this as he fights off the creature. After many attempts, the monster was released and Yamcha's life was saved. Then Krillin finished off the saibaiman by doing Ki blasts. Since he doesn't have the temper to release scattering bullets.
Just as before, the fight continues to be the same as the original, except Goten blasts Nappa. Which has helped Krillin, Yamcha, and Piccolo to do the same thing at the right time. The Saiyan was left with minor injuries but is still stable enough to fight, just weaker. Again, the fight would go the same, except Goten ended up firing a blast toward Nappa. This has left the man paralyzed, as Piccolo finishes him by doing the two-handed special bean cannon. Therefore, Tien never had to sacrifice himself by doing the spirit tri-beam.
Vegeta was mortified to see Nappa killed by "weaklings" whereas fury was building up in his body. Just as he's about to attack, he notices the Z fighters talking about this particular person named "Goku" and wonders if he's Kakarot. Just like the original, he decides to wait for three hours before he arrives. Goten impatiently wanted to charge at Vegeta but Krillin stopped him and told him that this wasn't the right time. After the hours were up and Goku still hadn't arrived, Vegeta continued the battle.
The dragon team began to lose hope for Goku's return, except for Goten. Like in the original, Piccolo told the Z fighters about his plan to distract Vegeta by pulling his tail. Since he remembered his battle against Raditz. Unfortunately, just as Piccolo was about to grab it, Vegeta lightly punched him in the stomach, which led him to be paralyzed. Whereas Vegeta is intelligent enough to know that if he kills the namekian, the dragon balls will disappear. Again, the story will go the same as canon except Nappa is already dead.
As Vegeta is about to attack Goten, Yamcha sacrifices himself by dodging the young boy from the psychopathic Saiyan. The child was devastated to see his friend die. Which leads to rage and wanting to take revenge. Krillin and Tien noticed this and stopped Goten before he could charge at Vegeta. The Saiyan hybrid was frustrated as the two explained that he was much too weak for this brute, Goten sighed and accepted.
Tien breathed deeply and told the two to back up. Krillin and Goten looked at each other confused. Then Krillin noticed Tien charging his Spirit Tri-Beam. The Z fighter was in shock and begged the Triclops to stop. However, Tien ignores him and sacrifices himself. Unfortunately, this only damaged part of Vegeta's armor and his scouter.
Krillin couldn't take the torment anymore as he angrily formed a destructo disc and tossed it at Vegeta. Unsurprisingly, the Saiyan dodges and smirks at the earthling. This caused Krillin to scream as he scattered bullets out of rage, but there was no luck. Suddenly, he senses a strong Ki and it was Goku. Unfortunately, this is when Vegeta starts to get focused on the Saiyan child. Goten is all ready to take a fight, but Krillin loudly warns him not to do it. However, the boy has none of it and prepares a Kamehameha. Vegeta notices this as he brutally punches him, leading to paralysis. Just as the Saiyan was about to give out his final blow, Goten was rescued by The Flying Nimbus. Then Krillin noticed Goku's arrival.
Like in canon, Goku was horrified seeing Tien and Yamcha's dead bodies and Piccolo's paralysis. Based on the polls, he gives the split senzu bean to Goten and Krillin. He demands the two take Piccolo up to Kami's Lookout. However, Goten wanted to stay in the battle to avenge his friends. Although, Goku ignores them and begins to attack Vegeta. This leads Goten and Krillin to fly. Just like the original, Goku has used Kaioken from anger. Unfortunately for Vegeta, he couldn't read the power level due to his scouter being destroyed.
After Goten and Krillin dropped off Piccolo, they decided to back into the battlefield but only to observe. However, Goku urgently tells Goten and Krillin that they should go to Kame house. The young boy was very reluctant at first but then agreed. The fight would go the same as canon. Although, Vegeta was more brutally beaten since his armor was destroyed, but still managed to fight. Anyway, because Piccolo never blew up the moon into pieces. Vegeta didn't have to use the power ball to turn into an Ozaru.
Besides this, the story would continue to be the same. Sadly, Vegeta ended up paralyzing Goten to the point where he's unfortunate since he's a lot weaker than Gohan in this scenario. So, Krillin took him to a nearby hospital and then nervously told Chichi the news. The woman was horrified and came to see her son as quickly as possible. Subsequently, Krillin returns to the battle.
The fight would go the same, just without Goten. This means that he couldn't bounce back the spirit bomb. There also wasn't an Ozaru Goten since he doesn't have a tail. Of course, Goku has given Vegeta mercy and made Krillin let him escape. Bulma, Roshi, and Koirin all came to rescue the two.
