Chapter 6:Take Arms

Onxyia was in the living room a little worried where Blake was. She said she be back soon and that was almost three hours ago. Maybe something happened to her or did she get mug, kidnapped, killed. But as the wolf faunus kept fussing over this sienna and neo noticed this.

The two were playing checkers close by as they waited with her. Neo stared at the wolf who wagged her tail nervously it seems.

"Onxyia dear calm down i'm sure blake alright. Maybe she stopped by the clinic"sienna suggested as she jumped over one of neos. The mute only had three left while the bengel faunus had nine.

She was trying to figure out how to beat her but the women did lead an entire organziation for a while. So she probably has some battle tactics of her own. Soon Neo moved one piece forward with confidence. Then sienna moved one toward her but it wasn't close.

The two kept doing this for a few more moves. Until Neo only had one left and sienna had seven eye twitched a little because she literal is backed into a corner. Her remaining piece was trapped by three of her pieces. Sienna then moved it out of the way goating the girl to do it.

The mute sighed as she took that one piece sienna had. But then sienna moved her last piece over neo. Neo put her face on the table a little annoyed. If they were playing cards or something she could win. Everytime Roman and her siblings played.

She would win everytime because she had a good poker face. Though she would have an easier time controlling her facial expression since she can't chuckled a little and patted the girl on the head.

"Maybe next time kid though I wonder where the others are"sienna pointed out because colt was with them a bit ago. But he left to do something outside while bombay went upstairs and yahto retreated to his room.

"Umm well yahto might be mad when we were at the clinic he saw a man named hoyt their"onxyia replied thinking she knew about the group.

Sienna groaned as she rubbed her forehead in disgust."seriously that man came back here again, my husband helps out one person out the kindness of his heart and he runs into gangsters"Sienna groaned.

"Yeah though were surprised to see these gangster again actually"onxyia accidentally rpelied but her ears flopped over. She just accidentally told her aunt they had a run in with these gangster agian.

The bengel fauna and former leader of the white fang stared at her. She had an annoyed expression and nager expression it seems on her face.

"What?!"she shouted anger which caught the other two attention up stairs. Soon bombay rushed down the stairs joined by Yahto. Then aruna came down in the middle of brushing her teeth. Toothpaste stained her mouth.

"What happened is everything alright?"bombay quickly asked as one of her eyes had one contact out. It showed her silver eye while Yahto looked a little annoyed.

"Oh nothing just learning that you all dealt with these gangster threatening our town before"Sienna replied worried and concerned it seems. Their goes a mother protective nature it seems. Mess with her or her family your dead.

Neo sighed to the women quickly"umm not all of them, me, Blake,Onxyia and my cousin did"neo signed.

Aruna said something but toothpaste fell out as she did"wait you guys got to fight gangster thats so cool"Aruna said as blue toothpaste hit the ground.

Sienna glared at her daughter and she relzied what she meant by that. She smiled as she went to the kitchen grabbing a rag.

She washed her mouth off then returned to wash up the small bit of toothpast on the ground. But as she did onxyia explained to her aunt.

"You see we went to menagerie to return a little girl to her aunt. The owner their –"onxyia said as sienna ears perked up a little.

"Wait you mean nadia"Sienna asked and oxnyia nodded gently saying yes.

"Oh i'm not surprised she said when she got old or retired that she start an orphanage of hers. Though she wasn't going to do it till she reached her fifties I never figure out why"sienna replied as neo frowned a little.

Her aunt opened it up after her cousin first death it seems. She wanted to give home to kids who lost their family. It the least she could do to give some kids a happy home after losing her child. Though right now she wonders if she even knew.

"Yes, we went their to drop her off along with reuniting her with her son. Who she thought she lost a long time ago. "Onxyia began

"Wait her son she lost seven years ago?"sienna said a little surrpsied

Neo tilted her head at her"yes, how did you know about it?"neo signed

"About that time I was taking Aruna to a festival the town was having. Then I ran into her and Zoey, her daughter. "Sienna said remembering that day.

"I recalled her being all upset about something,then I relized that her son wasn't with her. She looked like she lost something precious to her at the time. Though i'm glad to hear she has him back, how'd she find him?"sienna questioned

Onxyia rang her hands together trying to come up with an answer.

"Well he was…our friend that we lost during the fall"onxyia simply said as sienna gaze softened a enough colt joined them in the living room.

He came from a backdoor in the kitchen that lead to the backyard. Their was a large field like area similar to the ones back at combat school. But it was just a large zen garden instead.

"You mean?"aruna asked as neo gently nodded

Sienna sighed as she just heard her old friend just got her son back and she lost him again.

"But now we have to break the news to her that he's gone again"Onxyia sadly replied as she looked at her necklace.

Sienna got up from her spot as she rested a hand on the wolf shoulder. She looked up at her wondering what she was going to say.

"Don't worry dear i'll help you break the news to her when we head there. Though why exactly were these thugs in menagerie?"sienna said

"They tried to kill dad"a voice said from the front door. They all turned to see blake their with vera. Vera had a little girl with dark blue hair that was long and she looked to be six year old. She wore a pair of sweatpants color grey and had on a small coat colroed pink with fury on the hood. Her skin was pale and her eyes were light green.

"What"sienna asked as she dug her hand into the armrest of the chair onxyia sat in. The women narrowed her gaze not exactly pleased she heard a very good and close family friend was almost assianted.

But the women calmed herself down relizing Vera was here along with her little took a deep breath as her attitude completely changed.

"Well it nice to see you Vera and with your little sister Raye"Sienna said in a sweet voice. Vera waved as the little girl named as Raye waved to her.

"Hello cat lady"raye said as sienna laughed.

"I'm a type of cat sweetie, what bring you two here?"she replied

Blake took a deep breath looking at everyone around her. Then she decided to tell her an important decision she made.

"I've decided to finally get the prothetic"blake said as the room was silent. Then everyone smiled at her for a bit. Sienna walked to her and slowly embraced the girl and blake returned it.

"Its nice you finally made a decision on this. Don't worry i'm sure when my husband does the plate for your arm it may hurt at first. But we'll be here for you"sienna replied which made blake smile a little.

"Though that would mean your going to do the surgery tommorrow and your mom probably working on the prothsestic. Am I right"sienna added knowingly.

"Yes but it seems your house is full we could sleep on the couch or–"she begun but yahto stopped her.

"That won't do take my room"yahto offered surprising looked at the mysterious guy smiling a little wondering why.

"Really what your angel gonna ask for a favor or something"she playfully asked

Yahto shook his head at her"no I can rough it on the couch tonight. I've slept on worse"yahto replied

"Whats worse than a couch?"bombay asked as she layed on her side on the couch. Her tail swayed around as she sat their.

"Ummm the sand or a patch of fire ants….don't ask"yahto replied as Neo giglged at that. She started to sign to Sienna. But the boy noticed this although neo only got part of it.

"You see this one time my sister and he were camping in the woods and–"neo started to sign but yahto grabbed her hands trying to stop her. She kept tyring to sigh it to her but he stopped her severely times by blocking her hands.

Though the boy had a lok of horror on his face not wanting to talk about that night. Him and lazuli were doing a stakeout on a bandit camp. They apparently had stolen gems from a jewerly store. They were going to strike in the morning. But he slept in a pile of fire ants and screamed.

Although he remembered them biting a really delicate part of him. She then told neo and vance along with the others. This was about a year or two ago and they still make fun of him for it.

"Ok then why don't you two get comfortable upstairs, Bombay and Aruna could you help them"sienna asked as the two did just that. Once the four were upstairs she stared at Blake, Neo and Onxyia.

"What extactly happened and why were they after Ghira?"sienna asked with a serious expression.

The three started to explain well two talked and one texted or signed. They explained how they visited the place to return piper a bear faunus leaving the part out she was a grimm hybrid. Then they found a dead body their and went to Nadia oprhange to reunite her with her son.

But then Betty came out of no where and attack them. She tried to kill her father and along with her family apprently. But they manage to stop the group preventing her from completing her task.

Sienna sat their listening to their story with intrigue and worry. Once they were done with their tale about how they knew the gang. She seemed deep in thought and came up with something.

"Ok so from what I'm hearing these thugs were hired to kill your family. But who hired them?"she asked

"We don't know we have speculation someone who hated dad. Though not many people hated him I think"blake relied

"Depsite that if their threatening the town couldn't you call the cops or have the miltia here take them in"onxyia added

"They won't because they probably got insurance making sure you all don't rat them out do you?"yahto added knowingly it seems.

Sienna sighed because the boy was right. Which made blake wonder what exactly they had to make a whole port town risk not getting involved. Especially huntsman or huntresses it yahto seems to know more than he lets on.

"You see a few weeks ago the mayor planned on calling huntsmen or huntresses on them. That was until they kidnapped a few of the people in town."sienna said with a heavy heart.

"What….but couldn't you save them. Their are alot of you here you could easily…"colt begun but the women stopped him.

"No they have them hidden somewhere in the woods. We don't know exactly where they are even. That why Vera and others have had watchtower duty. We've been trying to see where they go"sienna said but then the teens looked toward a certain ice cream hair.

They all looked at neo who looked at them. And soon relzied why they were looking at her. She activated her semblance as she changed herself to look like sienna from across the room. Sienna was a little surrpsied by this before a glass shattering effect went off. Then Neo was normal again.

"Wait I think I know what your scheming"yahto added knwoignly.

Blake nodded to him"tommorrow i'll be going through surgery, but early those men came by for something. I'm guessing tomorrow Hoyt will be back to ask for something in the morning. We can have a small team follow him and his thugs through the woods"blake said

"Ok and how would we do that he'll probably see us a mile away"onxyia pointed out then someone cleared their throat next to her. Her ears twitched as she looked for the person and they weren't their.

Then a familiar cat appeared right next to the wolf. Onxyia almost jumped out of skin when Bombay appeared. She wondered exactly how the girl appeared their. Then she recaleld she can copy semblances.

"I'm onboard with your plan"bombay added in not even hearing the rest of it.

"Ok well let me explain the rest of it. You can hide yourself so they don't see you while the others follow. Neo can sneak into the camp with her semblance to see if those hostages are their."blake added

"Hmm alright but if you do this wouldn't their entire gang just come back to burn the town"Colt added

Yahto dimisssed this shaking his head"No Hoyt would too be scared to tell Clay they failed. Whoever fails their task or question their order by him. The bastard will kill you without hestiation"yahto replied

This made blake curious a little what he meant by that exactly. He seemed to have a real hatred for this gang especially hoyt it seems. Which made her wonder why extacftly.

"Why do you exactly hate this man named Hoyt so much yahto?"blake questioned.

The mysterious Yahto crossed his arms as he walked over to the fireplace. He looked at for a second before sighing. Then he leaned against the mantle on then he moved his shirt down a little to show his right chest.

On his right chest was a brand mark it seems which had a pair of brass knuckles and the initial KD. which probably meant knuckledusters. Then he pulled his shirt back up.

"You were in their gang?"onxyia said in surprised as her tail swayed a little.

"Yeah…about a few years ago after I got kicked out of obsecuro. Hoyt heard what happened and he offered me something to put my skill to use. I was their errand boy for a year that was until I met Lazuli"yahto begun as he stared into the fire.

He remembered the day he went through their dumb intiation. They made him fight several people for what seemed like hours in some small cage. If he lasted for an hour he be in their gang. He did it but he thought he was their for two days.

Those fights were pretty tough and he nearly died their. But luckily someone showed him that type of work won't do.

"She saved my ass from turning into a murderer. "Yahto said glancing down into the fire.

"What do you mean by that kid?"colt asked concerned a little.

The boy turned to the boxer with a heavy look on his face. He seemed to not really wanna talk about. But he already got this far he might as well finish it.

With a heavy sigh he continued"you see some lady or something saw hoyt along with others kill some guy. He was apprently a target who was easy picking since he was bed ridden from an accident. The guy stayed in a big home which meant he was some rich guy."yahto continued.

"Though apparently he was running for mayor in some town and his candidate wanted him dead. But that women looked to be his daughter maybe taking care of her father. I couldn't do it I beat them up and called the cops. Then got the women and a few others with her out of their"yahto continued staring into the fire closing his eyes.

"It didn't even matter after I was on the run I heard her and her family died. Freak accident more like hoyt and the knuckledusters"yahto finished with malice.

From how it sounds neo sister saved him from a life of crime sort of. She did make him committ some acts of crime but instead crime that didn't involve killing people. Which sort of seemed better than killing people.

Though that made her wonder if this hoyt was dangerous. From the sound of it he might have a plan in place incase anything happens.

"Ok…so anything we should watch out for from hoyt?"blake asked

Yahto shook his head"guy got no semblance though he a slippery eel. I'll go with bombay and neo. "Yahto replied

"I'll stay in the officer and make sure no one comes after verde"oxnyia added

Colt stood up from a chair he was sitting in. He stood up cracking his neck and knuckles. A large crack could be heard from as he did this. The boxer rubbed his hands looking at the group,

"I'll stay here and protect Sienna, this old boxer still got some fight left in him"colt said smiling.

Sienna laughed a little"hey I could kick their butts even if i'm pregnant big boy"sienna repplied

They all had a plan it seems to take these thugs out of town. It the least they could do to save her aunt and uncle clinic from soem thugs. Along with saving the town from these people. But Blake will be getting her new arm tomorrow.

She may not be much help but she'll begin to train with her new arm after her surgery. But she hopes that if this little plan works tomorrow nothing bad happens.

Meanwhile in the woods close to the town of Dryshore a small camp of thugs sat around a were about maybe six small tents and one big tent near one side of the camp. About twenty three people roamed the camp along with their leader of the group.

Several men were guarding the perimeter of the camp it seems. They had small tripwires around the camp near the surrounding woods. But they seem to be connected to combat explosives behind some trees or in some bushes.

A few of them where in the middle of the camp opening the box they brought from the clinic in the town. Near them was a big bonfire they had that illuminated their camp.

"Alright boy say thank to that dam doctor from town were gonna party tonight"one exclaimed as a few of them cheered and hollered at this. As they did hoyt slowly emerged from the large tent wondering what was exactly going on.

He was slowly walking through the camp with his hands behind his back. As the man did he had a blank expression while he walked over to see what his men where over their he saw one wrap a rubber like tube around his arm.

Then a vein bulge on his forearm, the man had a needle in his hands. In an instant the man put the needle in his hands into the vein. It punctured it and he pressed down on the needle injecting it into him.

He quivered a little as he had a look of euphoria on his face. Then he fell to the ground slightly conscious and seemed to be passing out. As he sat their hoyt came over looking over at the man.

The man seemed to be high on the amount of asehteic he took. Hoyt slowly kneeled down picking up the needle the man examined it while looking at the sharp needle like end.

Without hesitation hoyt jabbed the needle hard into the man eyes. The man didn't react since he was under so much asthetics. But his body spasmed a little as he stabbed him in the eye.

Hoyt stood up dusting his hands off as he looked at the dead man infront of him. Blood oozed from where his eye used to be as he had a permanent smile on his face.

Then he looked behind him to see two more doing the same thing.

"Hmm seems you junkies didn't get the memo. Don't get high while on the job"hoyt said as he snapped his fingers. Then two more thugs went behind the two as they slit their throats.

The clutched their throats as they gurgled on the their blood trying to stop the blood. Hoyt was beginning to walk past them as he felt something grab his leg. He looked down at one grabbing his pant leg.

The man had fear in his eyes as tears streamed down his face. Hoyt smiled before pulling his foot off the man. Then he lifted his foot back as he kicked him hard. The man rolled a little and he went straight toward the bonfire.

The man immedaitly caught on fire but he tried to scream. But all that came out was wet and gargled words from a dead man. Soon Hoyt headed back to the large tent while he walked past more men.

"Take out the trash"he said coldly as he walked past his men. Then he entered the large tent looking around.

Near the back of the tent was a large cage with four people in their. Two of which are faunus and two of which are humans. They had bruises and cut all around their bodie along with their clothes being torn up.

"Now you four better behave or I won't let you see your familys again."hoyt warned as the people in the cage stood their silently. The man then walked toward a table looking over it and looked at a shipping manifest.

He picked it up and it was schedule to arrive in about two weeks which meant he still had a while to wait. Though taking over this town will make stealing the stuff easier. But he is surprised to see that Yahto kid again.

Punk ratted them out though they had to eliminate the girl. But they got more lien since they had to kill and do a cover up for her family. He was mad at the kid but he was soft. If hes their tomorrow maybe he'll bring him here for a little talk.

It seems sienna now knows about her old partner and teammate loss, but will help onxyia break the news to her slowly. While Blake declared she plans to get the porhtsetic arm, while we learned of yahtos past and connections to lazuli. Thanks for reading!
