Chapter 8 Black and White:Thug Free

Deep into the woods Colt and Anegelo with some others from the town were moving through the woods looking for the signs they left for them. As they continued to move through the woods colt and angelo got to talking.

"So Colt Lawson Vale heavyweight champion, can't believe i'm meeting a celebrity today"angelo said as he held a shotgun in his hands. It looked to be a hunting shotgun from the looks of it.

While Colt decided to have a more hands on approach for his weapon, his bare hands. The man may act like a gentle giant. But get in his way and you won't wanna get in his way.

The forest was quiet it seems except for the small noises of the woodland critters from the woods that passed by. Some rustling could be heard as everyone was a little jumpy since at night most of the time. Grimm are more active near their town at night sometimes.

"Well believe it though i'm not that much of celebrity nowadays"colt replied as he stretched his arms.

Angelo chuckled at the man being modest about his status it seems. Back in his day when he was younger he saw the mans matchs. He had the record for fastest knockout in the championships.

"Your being too modest if I recalled you have one of the fastest knockout in the heavyweight division….which was?"angelo asked waiting for colt to finish.

The retired boxer instructor thought for a second then it came to him"about twenty seven seconds if I recall. Though my right hand hurt for a week after that uppercut"Colt replied

"Yeah though you look pretty intimidating sir"krim said behind them with his brother coop close by.

The two brothers wanted to come help out since they requested volunteers. They know a couple of the people who were kidnap. If they could help rescue their friends and since the opportunity airsed they took it.

"Kid don't judge someone by their appearance, I may look all big and strong. But in reality i'm a big softy"colt replied

Coop chuckled at the man claim"bull crap you probably blow up if someone messes with you or someone"coop added

Colt grinned at the kid because he was right. Get in his way or hurt his friends and family your dead. Though he learned to humble himself at times. When you get old your joints aren't what they used to be anymore.

"Depsite that what are we suppose to look out for?"krim asked wondering what symbol they were suppose to follow.

The group continued walking through the woods for about ten minutes as they kept searching. As Coop shined a flashlight around to see their surrounds. Once he shined it past a tree he saw something etched into the trunk of the tree.

He shined his light back over it and focused it on it. Then he got a closer look then called out to the rest of the search party.

"Yo guy found something!"he shouted as the search party came over to see what he found.

"Whats up Krim, you find something"angelo asked as he pointed to the trunk infront of him.

Their on the trunk was a bowler hat craved into the trunk. It had a distinct feather on the hat along with an arrow pointing them in the right direction. Colt smiled because he knew who left that their.

"Seems like this was what were suppose to follow"Coop said with all of them agreeing. They soon decided to follow the trail of bowler hat craving into the tree leading to this camp.

In the clinic Blake was getting used to her new arm as they were getting discharge. She changed back into her new attire but she was still getting used to have both her hands girl still couldn't believe they were back.

Though a thought came through her mind what would her teammates think about would probably nerd out over it trying to examine it. She already imagining the small silver haired teen bcomign excited over her new arm.

But she probably also asked about modding it or something for her. Though the grappling hook might freak her out a little from excitement.

Then their was Weiss she probably feel sorry about hearing what happened to Blake. She wonders if she knew about her lose of limb. The girl was with Eria and Ruby when they were in the city. Though she probably be happy the cat got her arm back.

Lastly their was Yang how would she react to this. Probably next time she runs into Adam or Ollie she probably go all on the two. Though she wouldn't mind seeing her ex and that dam spider geting some karma. But she hopes she still likes her for her lose of limb.

She sighed a little because she couldn't think much about that right now. Instead she needed to head back to the khan residents to relax and enjoy herself.

Verde was busy signing some paper work it seems to discharge the girl. Though it was pretty late at night right now. Along with it being close to closing hours.

"Alright that should do it your good to leave dear"verde replied as he clicked his pen.

"Great…though it's a little weird having an arm back still"blake replied as she rubbed her new metal arm.

"Don't worry you'll get used to it but you will probably need to do some training though"vera pointed out.

The girl was right if she wanted to get back to full strength from the last few days. She needed to train to hone her skills. Maybe a certain boxer could give her some lessons along with being her sparing partner maybe.

"Depsite that lets get back home i'm beat"aruna said as she cracked her back and a loud crack could be heard.

"From what you literally teased me for like two hours"onxyia added in because the bengel and sienna kept messing with her.

They kept asking her what other types of acts her and Zane did back in Vale. She did tell them about their first date. How it was ruined by a racist employee. They compensated them for the reservations they made.

But he instead took her out to get some frozen treats instead. How the restaurant had people from a company business trip their. Along with now wanting to cause another scene. It was reassuring that he looked out for her best interest.

Though she still misses him, but she'll try her best to move on. Even if it takes a while to do it.

"Well that a very hard job with its own perks at time"Aruna replied as her tail swayed.

Then the wolf smiled as she got an idea in her head to mess with her cousin. The girl walked over to her cousin then leaned down to her ear.

"Hmm well at least I don't have crush on my little brother…but you do"she whispered into aruna ear.

Then the bengel faunus cheeks light up bright red as she glanced at the girl. How did she know about that and since when. Aruna did her best to keep that hidden especially from her mother.

"How…did you know….I mean what are you talking about"Aruna quickly said as she started to walk out of the clinic. She opened the door leaving the place.

Onxyia shook her head as her and the others followed the girl. Sienna just smiled at that because shes known for a while. Though she decided to let things take it slow. The kid hasn't been around much which did wonder where he was.

It took them maybe twenty mintues to get back to the khan residents. Once back Sienna immediately went to the kitchen to prepare some dinner it seems. It was pretty late but you never know when you'll ge thunder.

Because it was around six o'clock at night. It did take them a while to get discharged as Verde had to make sure blake was feeling alright. She was but the process of getting used to having both arms again did take a bit of time.

Once inside Blake and Onxyia with Aruna sat in the living room while sienna grabbed some stuff from the fridge. They tried to convince her to help her but she was against it.

As they sat their Aruna got a little curious about both her cousins teams a she decided to ask about them.

"So since you both were teams tell me about them?"Aruna questioned though hestated since onxyia did date her leader.

But the wolf seemed fine discussing the topic it seems because her eyes light up a little.

"Oh alright might as well find some way to pass the time."onxyia replied

"So do you wanna go first blake or do you want me too?"oxnyia added

Blake thought for a second and decided to let the wolf go first. She thought it be nice since she seemed a little happy to talk about it.

"You can go first"blake replied with Onxyia ear twitching a little but she shrugged her shoulder and went.

"Well first question who was your partner?"aruna questioned as she leaned back in her chair.

"Oh she was one of the sisters on my team her name was Eria hayley. She was…very cold when I first met her. "Onxyia begun.

"You mean how she showed no emotions at times like it was nothing"Blake finished with oxnyia nodding yes.

"Yeah though she was really nice I thought she would freak out from seing my traits. Though she didn't mind apparently the two had a faunus uncle"onxyia added

"Hmm I remember that guy in the day, god he was dramatic"sienna said as she joined them with a small plate. It was some rice balls with seaweed wrapping it. She placed it on the table as she joined the group.

"Not surprising mostly everyone in our familys know each other apparently. Which is weird"blake pointed out.

Kinda surprising how all of them know someone from their certain familys or friends. Though it was nice that they could relate to some things about talking about those topics

"Ok and who else"Aruna asked as she took a bite from a rice ball.

"Umm that would be Rogue her twin sister, she was pretty much the opposite. Always energetic and happy at times. Though she did have a fascination with weapons it seems. Before the tournament she modded all our weapons for us"onxyia replied

Sienna ate her rice ball and gently placed it on a napkin before swallowing it.

"Hmm seems she has that fathers of her passion for weapons I see"sienna added

"Yeah but she also has Ember"blake added

"Who?"aruna questioned as she was confused who this ember was.

"Oh shes an artifact that houses the spirit of someone from their family apparently. A man tranferred her soul into a glove and shes beens alive for hundreds of years if I recall"blake said but then a thought came through her mind.

What happened to the dopplegnagers ring that she had with her. Did she lose it during the fall or did someone hold onto it for her.

"Wait…quick question"blake asked

"What is it?"onxyia replied to her friend

"What ever happened to the doppleganger ring?"blake replied confusing some of them though onxyia cupped her chin.

"Doppleganger rign what is that?"aruna asked though her mother had the answer this time.

"I recall that artifact, it can make a copy of someone abilities including their semblance. But it takes half your aura"sienna commented

Onxyia nodded"that true but, wasn't it on your right hand when um adam cut it off"she said as blake sighed because she was right. If they didn't have it on hand it might mean the ring was lost.

"Which means it might be in vale somewhere or someone else has it, oh well"blake said not really carrying about the ring that much. It did benefit her sometimes but it wasn't her style.

"Hmm really I think I heard of some artifacts like this Ember. Their are a few in remnant though their quite rare finds. "Sienna replied

"Their was also my girlfriend I guess velvet scarltina. She was pretty shy when I first met her but she…well was a pretty smart girl. She mentioned to me one time she got a project submitted to atlas thanks to her dad"onxyia continued

"Thats cool. Guess you got a smarty pants for a girlfriend"aruna replied lightening the mood up a little

"Yeah then lastly…their our leader Zane"onxyia said as she was pulling out her scroll. She wanted to show her aunt a picture of the group. Though the first picture pulled up was her and him during the party.

She smiled at it, pausing for a moment before taking a deep breath. The wolf kept her composer to talk about the subject.

"You don't need to talk about that if you–"Aruna begun but onxyia stopped her.

"No its fine, Zane was a rogue partner on our team. At first I thought he was such a goofball on our team. Though over time I kinda of relzied he was more than that. Behind that goofy nature was someone who cared about his friends"onxyia said as her tail wagged a little

"He cared about his teammates like they were family. Right now I understand he stayed back to find Eria to make sure she got out. Which he did along with other teams it seems. Though his death still hurts, I just hope he's in a better place"onxyia finished as she stared at her scroll.

Then she put it away as she placed it on a side table. After that she pulled out the group picture they all took with the other teams. She handed it too Seinna and Aruna to look at.

Sienna smiled knowing who might be who in the picture.

"I'm guessing the one with teal hair is Eria and the one with blonde hair that short is Rogue"Sienna asked knowingly.

The wolf fuanus shook her head yes as Aruna tried to guess who was on blake team.

"Ok i'm guessing….the red head in pink was on your team"Aruna guessed hoping she was right.

"You mean nora, no she was on JNPR. That girl was something else at times though"blake said smiling.

"Lets see you mean how she could eat three whole cows and not be full. Along with looking still good from it"onxyia added with blake shaking her head.

"Hmm alright dear who was on your team then"sienna asked

Blake took a deep breath ready to talk about her teammates that she deeply missed.

"Ok first theirs our leader Ruby Rose, she was actually the youngest huntress to join our school if you believe it or not"blake begun.

"Really hmm guess shes just like her mom"sienna replied

The cat faunus was intrigued to hear about Rubys mom a little. She barely knew anything about the women because ruby barely talked about her along with yang.

"Oh really what was she like?"blake asked curious what ruby was like.

"Well for starters she was also pretty young to join beacon academy and also became her teams leader. Their team was something back in my day, though my team was better in some areas. "Sienna replied

"Though I don't know much about her other than she had silver eyes…is the one in all red her?"sienna asked flipping the picture pointing to ruby in the picture. She was smiling kneeling down sitting next to Neo and Rogue.

"Yep thats her then their Weiss Schnee her partner"blake replied

"Wait you had a shcnee on your team ughh that must have been a nightmare. Seriously her father pisses me off"aruna replied

The girl seemed to hate the schnee it seems what faunus wouldn't. Their busy pratices include faunus slave labour along with kidnapping them. Though Weiss was very different from that father of hers.

"Hmm she was at first, she did say some hurtful things at first. But over time I learned that she wasn't really like how people described their family. In reality the girl was sweet and nice along with caring for her friends"blake replied

"Along with fighting Eria for the title of ice queen their. Which Weiss still holds if I recall"onxyia added in with the group laughing a little at the joke.

Then her last teammate was yang and her partner. She smiled a little hoping her and Ruby were alright wherever they were.

"Then their yang my partner and she was very interesting. "Blake said lightly blushing.

Sienna smiled at her niece knowing what that meant but waited for the right moment to say it.

"Really how so?"Aruna asked

"Well she was always so level headed at times along with being the guard dog of the team. Whenever we were feeling down she try and cheer us up. Along with looking out for everyone and putting her life on the line."Blake said as she fidgeted with her new arm for a bit.

The wolf faunus layed on her side smiling at the girl and looked at sienna who had the same idea as her it seems.

"Hmm well you and her were pretty close at times"Onxyia pointed out as Blake blushed slightly looking over at her. The wolf faunus had a cheeky grin across her face playfully waving.

Blake groaned knowing what was coming next and rolled with it"yes….I did like yang for her personality. Though that girl did have a temper problem if you touched her hair"blake replied

"Reall how bad we talking?"aruna asked

"Bad enough that she probably destory all of Remnant to hunt down the one who did it"onxyia answered

The four continued their conversation as they waited for the others to return from the camp with the hostages.

Meanwhile in said camp Yahto,Neo and bombay tied all the thugs up placing them in the cage. Along with freeing the hostages who helped them move the thugs into the cage. All of them were cramped into the cage but they didn't really care.

Hoyt glared at yahto who smuggly looked at him with his arms crossed.

"Nothing to say Hoyt….gonna threaten me or what?"yahto asked as he took a knife out as he peeled an apple.

Hoyt chuckled"you know kid you should have taken my offer….you wouldn't have to be on the run everyday. Maybe even come back Clay might reconsider letting you rejoin"hoyt replied

That wasn't how clay worked and yahto knew it. Screw with him once and your on his hit list. Once he finds you depending on what you did he'll torture you with betty helping him. He witnessed it once when some guy tried to take extra lien for his payment.

When clay found out he beat the half to death until he was begging to die. Then Clay apparently made him pay back what he stole from him. He did this by selling the guys organs and he took them out while he was still conscious.

He didn't wanna imagine what the guy had planned for him even.

"Really that aint how clay works anymore"yahto pointed out as he took a bite rom the apple.

The thug just laughed at this smiling"really from what I heard we got a new boss who'll pay us handsomely for all our hard work. All we gotta do is work for her and she keep the monster off our backs"hoyt replied in confidence

Bombay was close by as her ears perked up and she started walking over to the cage.

"What do you mean by that?"she questioned with anger in her eyes.

"Like I tell you beast"hoyt retorted.

The cat faunus glared at him as she grabbed one of her schimitars and turned it into her pistol. Then she took aim at the man sqaure in the forehead.

Neo and Yahto looked at her wondering what she was doing. While the hostages just sat their and watched.

"Bonbay what are you–"yahto tried to asked but she stopped him from finishing.

"Not now this is important and it doenst concern you"bombay interrupted as she glared at hoyt.

"Tell me who your boss is working for what does she look like, tell me now!"she shotued.

Neo walked over placing a hand on the girl and the cat faunus shudder. Then she swung her blade back at the mute. But luckily neo dodged in time as she backed up from the cat faunus.

The girl looked at the group as her blade shook a little scared it seems. As she did hoyt took notice of this and decided to toy with her.

"Hmm whats your problem with that women my boss is working with. He barely told me anything just said we got a new client"hoyt replied knowing the girl was scared of this person.

"None of your dam business you snake"bombay retorted glaring at the man.

Neo and yahto were walking slowly toward her to stop her from doing something it seems. The girl was anger about something but they didn't exactly know what.

"Look bombay calm down before you do something you'll regret"yahto warned.

The cat faunus looked at the two with her blades pointed at them as she looked scared. Her posture was hunched and her eyes kept going around the place like wild. Along with her rapid breathing that wouldn't stop.

"You don't understand….that women their working for….shes evil…pure evil"bombay replied looking at the ground.

"What do you mean by that?"yahto question as Neo raised an eyebrow to the cat.

"I…I can't tell you….then you all will be danger…her and that thing"bombay said as she thought about the attack on her family home. How that thing called Conri slaughter her old brother, older sister and parents in front of her. She only got lucky to escape with her semblance awaking that day.

Neo slowly walked over to the cat calmly as she put a hand on the girl. Bombay stared at her with fear in her eyes but neo slowly made she to just gently push the girls arm down. As she did hoyt was just laughing the time.

Yahto glared at him as he walked over to the cage and grabbed the man by the shirt. Then he brought him forward bashing his head into the metal pole of the cage. A loud thud could be heard a few times and soon the man fell backwards smiling knocked out.

The cat faunus soon dropped both her blades on the ground as she balled up muttering to herself it seems.

"I can't let her find me…I gotta hide my eyes….they'll kill me"she muttered outloud to the two confusion.

But soon enough the search party arrived as they entered the camp .Two of the four hostages who was one female and one male rushed over to coop and krim. They hugged the two who returned it. While a women rushed to one of the faunus embracing her. Another was picked up by a older gentlemen who slimed.

Colt and Angelo looked at the three work and they were pleased with they walked the two noticed bombay cowering on the ground with fear in her eyes. Colt nodeed to angelo that he'll deal with it.

"Alright you lousy crooks time for you to head to jail"angelo said to the thugs in the cage.

"Ha good luck we'll be out soon anyway"one said smugly.

"Hmm yeah well we got some huntsman and huntresses here to personally taking you to a cozy big house in the next city over"angelo said as the thugs looked a little worried by this. Some of the search party started to take the thugs out as they tied them together.

Then made a train of shorts as they pushed them forward to be arrested and serve time for their actions.

While Colt walked over to the group signing to neo to ask what happened.

"What wrong with her?"he signed

Neo looked at him confused while signing"we don't know Hoyt mentioned a women his boss was working for. Along with that she started saying how she can't let them find her"neo signed.

The boxer looked at the scared cat faunus balled up quivering to herself. She kept shaking seeming to scared to move from her spot. Colt reached out to the girl who moved away from him a bit.

"No get away….I can't let Conri find me"bombay said which peeked their interest. That was one of the grimm hybrids that was seen in the city. Which meant that girl had some history it seems with that grimm hybrid.

Though they decided to wait for the girl to talk about when she was ready. After a bit of time they managed to convince her to come with them. As she did bombay just wrapped her arms around herself scared about what will happen.

It took them some time but they got backed and a small crowd gathered for them. They all seem happy to see the people returned along with those thugs being put in jail. Angelo and Meleon locked them up as best they can. Tomorrow they would be put in prison for their actions.

The group decided to head back to the house and were surprised to see Blake new arm. They all decided to celebrate a little tonight for their success. The group did a small get to gather with everyone just walking about today event.

Blake showed them one of the features on her new arm as she aimed it at a tree in the backyard. She grabbed it but before she knew it while she moved her arm it shot foward. This ended up with the cat faunus getting stuck on a tree for a bit.

Though Yahto seemed a little happier that thug Hoyt was getting served time for his actions. Onxyia was also doing a little better it seems but still seemed downhearted about a certain someone.

But bombay was inside already heading to bed early for the night it seems. Though Blake had asked colt a favor along with yahto it seems. She asked both of them to help her train with her new arm.

The man gladly accepted and Yahto offered his assistance. With her new arm Blake now needed to build up the strength to head back home. Along with preparing herself for her parents reactions to her new arm.

Colt,Neo and Onxyia seemed to be mental preapring themselves for when they had to meet with Nadia it seems when they get their to give her the news. Yahto seemed to just go along with the flow on wherever Neo went it seems. That promise to Lazuli must be pretty good to follow her sister anywhere.

But inside Bombay layed on the bed her and blake had to share. The girl was balled up scared about what will happen to her. She wants to leave right now before the people she with might get hurt.

She looked at her reflection in a small mirror at her silver eyes. Her gift and curse that killed her family. The girl just hoped that nothing came after her right now she was going to head to menagerie then meet with her team at haven.

But for now the group had to wait for the ferry to arrive to take them on their voyage.

It seems the town of dryshore is now free of any troubles plagueing their little sea town. Along with that it seems bombay is scared for her life for who the knukledusters new partners are. Thanks for reading!
