Tanzen is a male pine marten and Kai and Tala's adopted son. He has brown and dark brown fur and warm brown eyes. He wears a reddish brown and brown outfit.
Tanzen was born to a famous outlaw and street fighter nicknamed Zen Chi. After the death of his birth mother and his father is captured, Tanzen is put into an orphanage. While in his home, he practiced magic and learned how to harness the power of fire, ice, and lightning. Impressed by this, Kai and Tala adopt him. Tanzen is shown to be affable, humorous, cocky, snide, and somewhat arrogant. He is also very aggressive when enemies are near.
Despite being annoyed with them from time to time, Tanzen is very protective of his adopted siblings.
He is also defensive of his friends and family.

Tanzen's name means dance, hinting towards his love for music.
Tanzen appears to be the only adopted child who gave himself powers intentionally.
He is the only marten in the series.
