Chapter 22 Black and White:Battle for Peace

It was now nighttime in Menagerie and almost everything was quiet expect for at the house everyone was hurrying to hold off the ininate attack from Fennac,Corsac and the group of men were coming their way. Zoey had managed to gather what men were available to defend the household. Kali and Ghira had there own personal guards to assist them incase a situation like this came up.

Sun was currently above the home as their lookout to let them know if he sees them coming. Meanwhile Onxyia,declan and Neo were making small barricases to use as cover if they had long range weapons and hopefully be used for cover. They knew they didn't have a lot of time before they arrived so they worked as fast as they could to prepare to defend the household.

Nadia,Sienna and jazmine were standing at the ready alongside zoey and her men.

"We sure this'll work?"jazmine asked

" plan survive first contact. For now this is the best we can do to deter them"Sienna stated

"She right, we don't know what their guys have. But we'll just need to be ready for anything"nadia added

Sun then jumped down right in front of them from the roof"well it better because here they come. They'll be here anytime now"sun stated as he headed inside to protect the family.

Nadia sighed as shse figured it was time to pur her plan into action.

"Everyone in position. Lets give them a warm welcome they won't forget."nadia stated as she took point waiting at the top of the stairs alongside sienna.

What Sun predicted was twenty White Fang members being led by Fennac and Corsac weapons in hand they arrived at the footsteps of the belladonna house.

"Thats far enough!"sienna shouted from the top of the stairs weapon in hand.

"Ah Miss Khan. You don't believe you and that cripple can take us all of us by if a skilled huntresses like you can't possible be able to defeat us all by yourself. Along with that cripple slowling you down"Corsac said as he brought out his dagger as the rest of the men brought out machete like weapons

"I wouldn't underestimate me and my partner if I were you. She can get quite brutal at times"Sienna counter back motioing toward Nadia.

The tiger faunus then cracked her knuckles smiling down at them.

"Yeah and I aint some cripple. Names Nadia Walker. Remember it."nadia said as she crossed her arms under her bust.

"Then perhaps we should get his over with"fennac said turning toward the men.

"White Fang! The time has come! Kill them all!"fennac ordered as they all charged at them up the stairs directly toward the two.

But that was what they !"sienna shouted as Onxyia came from her hiding spot alongside declan. The two had their rifles out as they aimed at the White Fang and opened fire at them. With a flick of her wrist nadia guanlents extended a pair of claws. Sienna then pulled out her whip cracking it. The two dove toward the group into the back of the pack.

Fennac and Crosac didn't look back through and charged at the father and daughter. They noticed this and onxyia switched to her glaive getting ready to face them. Alongside declan who brought out his ring sword ready to attack the two white fang members. But two white fang members flanked them allowing Fennac and Corsac to slip past them heading straight toward the front door. Zoey men assited in holding back the white fang as best they could but their number were slowly overwhelming her soldiers.

Nadia kicked one of them away from her but another quickly took his place as she barely blocked his attack allowing another to strike her side that chipped at her aura. She tried to recover from the attack but another fang hit her from behind knocking more of her aura. She was getting overwhelmed but soon a whip wrapped around two of the members pulling them back as they landed hard on the ground. While Nadia smiled at the one attacking her before readying her fist and uppercutting the fang back to his friend. They were all three knocked out and nadia gave a thumbs up to sienna.

Though their was still a lot of them to contend with as most of the are slipping past them and heading toward the house.

"Don't letthem get through!"sienna shouted immediately chagrin at another five alongside nadia. Onxyia lifted her left hand to hodl a couple of them in place. While her father shot at a thrid of them trying to keep them at bay so that they couldn't get through but it was becoming rather difficult. Zoey men were also holding them back as best they could but even they were getting overwhelmed by the sheer number of them.

"Please be okay everyone please"Onxyia thought as she and her father took care of three of them before charging in at more of them.

Inside wasn't any better than outside as Sun,Jazmine,Neo and the families guards were holding off some of the man that gor through along with fennac and corsac with Sun and Neo fighting them both but it was starting to get rather difficult as both foxes were very skilled in close combat eepsically those dagger they wield.

Neo jabbed at Fennac trying to force him back back out the way he came but his skills were becoming hard to counter. Fennac then lunged at neo but she unfrilled her umbrella blocking his attack. He was bounced back a little.

Neo then undid her umbrella as she then charged at fennac who smiled. Once he got close he stabbed at her but then she shattered into several glass piece. Fennac looked around before his ear flicked as he quickly dodged a small explosion behind him. Then he turned to see Neo their aiming her umbrella at him. The two stared each other down before chagrin at each other again.

Meanwhile Sun was dealing with Corsac as he was acutally keeping up with suns speed of his monkey faunus flipped over corsac to try and and attack from behind but the fox was faster blocking the strike on to counter by sweeping sun feet from under him knocking him to the ground. Corsac then jumped onto sun trying to drive his dagger into sun heart but sun grabbed his wrist to hold him back.

"You shoul've just stayed out of the way"corsac said putting more effort into pushing the dagger. Sun pushed back as he was able to kick corsac off of him as he quickly got up quickly.

"Gotta try harder than that"sun said chagrin at the fox again but he knew as the fight went on that they were going to get tired. In another part of the house kali actually had blake weapons gambol shroud and was using it very well against the men that came through as she used it differently that blake did.

She turned into its gun mode and threw it in front of her toward the middle of a group fo white fang. She pulled on the ribbon that made the gun fire at one of the fang members knokcing them unconscious as she pulled i back toward her, grabbing hold of it and swapped back to its katana mode and holding the cleaver in hand as she skillfully attacked each of them trying to get rid of them.

"Get out of my house!"kali shouted slashing at them as they weren't expecting kali to be this good at combat.

Zoey and Jazmine assisted her as they attacked the other soldier that came through. Zoey rushed at one before disappearing for a bit then reappearing behind a white fang member. She delivered a swift slash with her kukri blade slashing at their was jumping around as she jumped to a wall then jumped off into a white fang member knocking him back.

Ghira was fairing rather well as he almost effortlessly shrugged off any of the soldier that came at him thanks to his size and strength. He ripped off his caot showing off his muscular body extending the claws on his hands. One of the soldier tried to attack him up close but he was grabbed by ghira and tossed away with ease destroying some of the inside of the house.

"They just don't quit!"jazmine shouted kicking one away but then one came from behind hitting her in the back of her skull knocking her down. Kali saw this shoivng one away before shoving one of the away before running to her daughter side.

"Jazmine are you alright?"kali aske worried

"I am or not that hurt. We need a new plan"jazmien replied

Kali looked around as the fighting has been going for almost a half an hour now as neo and sun were tyring their best but neo was starting to slow down as she was getting exhausted and even sun despite how skilled he was the exhaustion was getting to him. Even zoey was getting tired it only one tht seems to be holding his own was her husband.

She doesn't know the condition of Onxyia, Declan,Sienna and Nadia were but she hoped they were okay. With thing were going they're going to lose at this rate.

"Jazmine I got an idea. Though it may be risky sweetie"kali stated

Ghira and jazmine looked at her knowing what she meant by that.

"Jazmine can you control yourself this time? You know what happened last time"ghira said

"I got it dad I can handle it"jazmine replied

A moment later sun got thrown into a piller back first landing hard on the ground shaking off the attack from corsac as he stood up rather quickly to fight again as neo and zoey joined him at his side.

"If we don't stop this then none of us are getting out alive"zoey stated

"I know that. I'm opened to suggestion"Sun stated

Ghira took a whiff of the air and began to smell something that wasn't pleasant.

"Smoke?"ghira said

Everyone else smelledit too as smoke began to seep through the wood of the house.

Fennac and corsac only smirked knowing what was about to happen.

"Oh this is only the beginning"corsac reploed

Sun put things together only relizeing what their main goal was"its a diversion. They wanted to keep us busy so they could set fire to the house from the outside"sun replied

"So you figured it out huh. It doesn't matter. You all are going to die here today"fennac said with a grin.

Their are less soldier getting in which means the other four were keeping them back but even with six of them it was starting to get difficult and now with smoke coming in that will more likely start a fire to burn down their house.

Meanwhile outside Onxyia,Declan,Nadia and Sienna had finished beating the rest of the soldier even though a good portion of them got through their defense and gto inside the house as they were panting rather hard.

"Everyone good?"sienna asked

Onxyia nodded"i'm good"she said brandishing remorse

"Same here I could go all night!"declan hollered proudly.

Nadia chuckled"jeez you remind me of my younger days"nadia bantered as declan had a big grin on his face.

"Okay then lets go check up on the others"sienna said however she immediately noticed some smoke coming from the side of the house.

"What the ?! there trying to burn the house!"onxyis shouted

"C'mon they are more likely on the side of the house. I can't believed they used this as a diversion. Arghh i'm a idiot"sienna replied

"Hey don't worry about it we'll stop them"nadia reassured her partner.

"Lets go"onxyia said as the four rushed toward the house hopefully they could stop the smoke in time.

Once they got their they saw five men with fire wood as smoke rose from it going directly into the house.

"Stop right their!"declan shouted pointing his weapon at them alongside the others.

The five men looked at them almost with confident looks at they prepared to attack them.

"Take them down men!"a soilder shotued as they all charged at the four who readied themselves for another gith. However some came down from above them was a small black ball and on cotnact the ball expldoed into smoke compeltelty blinding everyone around it.

" the?!"one of them said but was suddenly sielcned by something stirking him. In mere seconds each member was defeated rather quickly as all five of them were silenced. Once the smoke cleared they noticed two familiar figures standing in the middle of them all which onxyia was rather relieved to see.

"Hey guy sorry were late"blake said as ilia walked out. Onxyia rushed forward hugging the too two quickly before imemdaitly letting them go.

"Thank remnant you two are okay"onxyia said

Ilia smiled a little"yeah…but we need to put the fire out"ilia reminded quickly.

"Everyone is inside. Along with Fennac and Corsac"nadia added

"Shes right but we need to get in their. I'm worried about my parents"blake replied

"I'll go with you two"onxyia added as her blake, Ilia ran bck to the front of the house as smoke starting to come out from the front of the house.

"Yeah this isn't good"onxyia said as the three ran inside to try and find her parents, sister, Neo,Zoey and Sun.

Inside the back of the house Sun, Neo and ghira were holding off Fennac and Corsac to the best of their abilities but they were struggling. Zoey held her shoulder as one of the white fang managed to stab her arm. Kali was noticing that the smoke was starting to spread as they ahd to get out but having to deal with fennac and corsac.

Kali then decided they needed to take action and looked at jazmine.

"Jazmine dear. Do it"kali asked her daughter who nodded

"What do you mean by that?"zoey asked as she held her shoulder Kali picked up the the fox faunus.

Jazmine took a deep breath well knowing what she was doing. Zoey only wondered if it was her semblance she was about to use. It does give her beast like traits but kali seemed worried about it a little.

Jazmine suddenly growled as she got down on all fours as her skin started to change color. Her skin turned completely black and then gover covered with blakc fur. Her hands and feer turned into paws along with her metal leg. Her body slightly grew in size which was enough to rip her clothing. Her face turned into something more panther like with a snout and her tail grew a little longer.

Zoey was completely stunned at what happened because the girl infront of her turned into a panther in front of her. But her little brother could turn into a monstrous grimm so she kind of believed it.

"Huh so she like my little brother…interesting"Zoey said outloud

Everyone else was unaware of what had happeend as sun and neo were tag teaming corsac and ghira was dealing with fennac but the smoke was slowing him down as fennac akneed ghira in his haw before slashing at his chest with his dagger making him stagger.

Fennac took advantage of him staggering as he stabbed ghira in the right leg breaking his aura making the older faunus rop to a knee blood seeping through the wound.

"You'll die just like your daughter but instead it'll be a quick death unlike last words before I slit your throat"fennac replied riaisng his dagger to deliver a killing blow.

However his ears flciked as heard low growling coming from the left of him. He turned slowly to see what it was. His eyes went wide as he saw in front of him a black panther staring at him showing it teeth.

Sun and Neo noticed this getting away from corsac the fire continuing to spread as it spread to the beams above them.

"This place is getting weaker by the second! We have to get out of here!"sun replied

Ghira could only look at the black panther with worry as sun and Neo helped him up. Kali who had zoey arm around her shoulder joined them. At that moment Onxyia, Blake and ilia showed up what was in front of them.

"What the? Where'd that panther come from?!"blake questioned as everyone stared at her.

"Blake!"kali shouted as her daughter looked toward her smiling. Ilia went over to help kali carry zoey out.

"We have to get out of here. The place is coming down!"ilia stated as she and kali began to pull zoey out of the building.

The panther looked back toward ghira nodding at him almost like telling him something.

"Alright. Let get ouf of here"ghira said as sun and neo helped him out of the house. But onxyia looked back a little at the panther wondering where jazmine was. She decided to help the panther out which didn't go unnoticed by the others.

Corsac and fennac saw this as they went to lung at the girl and the group but they were intercepted by the creature in front of them swiping corsac with its claw. Onxyia rushed in slahsing at fennac with remorse.

"You stupid beast! Are you their pet!? Fine we'll skin you first then them!"corsac shouted as they both changed at the creature.

Onxyia tackled corsac out of the way while panther dodged fennacs charge easily and quickly got on fennac back biting and clawing at his aura. Fennac grabebd a hold of the beast and tossed it off.

The beast landed safely as it ran toward him and then jumped at him claws fully extnedned. Onxyia vertically slashed at corsac as her blade, the two sparked off of each other. Thought he saw the beast lunging at his brother before he headbutted the girl back. Onxyia stumbled backwards as corsac rushed over to his brother.

Once the panther got close it was left wide open as corsac kicked at the beast underbelly causing it to hit the towward wall behind it wekaing it even more as the beam creaked losing its strength. Onxyia rushed over helping the panther up best she can and they stood ready to fight them.

Both of the brothers decided they've prolonged the fight long enough seeing the current condition of the house so they had to kill the beast and then go after the others.

"Shall we brother"Fennac stated

"Yes"corsac added getting what he meant.

The beast and onxyia charged at them expecitng what they were going to do. But instead they split off to let them chase the two in another direction which they gave chase to.

"Cut them off!we'll surround the panther and kill it!"Corsac ordered as he went one way while fennac went after the panther from behind. Corsac was soon intercepted by onxyia as she pressed a button on remorse. The blade was colored in a yellow hue right now and soon she launched it at him. But he quickly dodged it as he narrowed his gaze. The wolf faunus then rushed in at him as she slashed at his side chipping at his two kept dealing blow at each other.

Though fennac was chasing down the panther as it tried to dodge his attack. Gennac jumped from behind it tackling the beast to the control as they wreslted for control. Fennac managed to get the panther underneath him as he raised his dagger to try and kill it.

The panther seeing that it was going to be killed swipted at him striking his left eye as he roared in pain clutching his left eye. The panther quickly got up tackling him into a pillar that looked weak. Fennac hit the beam and a large crack could be heard but he was busy recovering from his injured eye. He looked from left to right trying to find where it was but couldn't. Then he heard the sound of cracking above him that got his attention but by the time he noticed when he hit the pillar the beam above him started to breka and fall above him.

He didn;t have time to move as the beam fell on top of him killing him instantly. Corsac was busy fighting onxyia but looked out of the corner of his eye. He just saw his own brother get killed by a burning beam as he looked at the panther with hate before pushing onxyia back.

"Ill kill you! You dam beast!"Corsac shouted as the panther only roared at him challenging lifted remorse up ready to fight him alongside the panther.

Meanwhile outside Zoey men rounded up what White Fang member were their as they watched the burning home as other citizens started to come.

Blake started to look around and noticed a couple people were missing"wait wheres jazmine and onxyia!?"she asked and Neo looked toward the house having a good feeling where they were.

"Come on"nadia said as Neo nodded rushing into the house.

"Mom!"zoey called out but she was hurt and those two were already inside the house before any of them could react making the rest of them worry.

Inside the house it was starting to get worse as the wood from the beams were starting to come down but Corsac and Onxyia alongside the panther were still fihgitng none of them giving an inch but mxied with smoke and fire the panther was starting to slow done. While onxyia could barley see anything and started to cough a little from the smoke. Though corsac landed a blow on the beast before slashing with his dagger on its right front paw.

The panther roared in pain now limping. Onxyia looked worried as she rushed forward but soon a wooden beam fell on top of her. She layed on her stomach as she tried to push herself up but she was exhausted.

"Can't jump without your front paw. Now i've got you grounded. Your good as dead"corsac grinned glad what he did. The beast growled as it was still ready to fight but its vision was starting to blury shaking it head quickly. It looked at onxyia worried and tried to head to her.

Onxyia struggled to get out looking at the panther rushing to her. The weight of the beam was too much as she had her right hand free. She tried to get up and looked out of the corner of her eye seeing corsac rushing at the panther.

"No!"onxyia shouted as she put her right hand up aiming it at corsac. Then something happened as a beam like light shot out of her hand toward the fox. It hit him knocking him to the ground knocked out.

Onxyia and panther exhcnaged looks as she looked at her hand. She was just as surprised as the panther it seems. But she had to try and get out right now and the panther tried to help her. They tried to lfit it up but they were weak. Soon the two heard footsteps coming them and they saw Nadia and Neo in front of them.

Nadia looked worried as her and Neo them got their weapons underneath the wooden beam. Then they lifted the beam getting it off the wolf faunus who slowly got up exhausted. As they were about to leave Neo looked over at Corsac who escaped through a hole in the wall.

She narrowed her gaze rushing over trying to stop him but couldn't starting to cough from the smoke. Nadia looked back at neo coughing from the smoke and looked at the panther walking up to she leaned onxyia against the panther as nadia rushed over to neo.

Neo was still struggling to escape the smoke as she grabbed her hand guiding her out

"Come on kid were leaving"nadia ordered as Neo two alongside the panther then rushed outside. Onxyia was on the panther back as it grunted a little in pain. But they spritned toward the exit to escape the burning buildings.

Outside Blake and the other watched as the fire spreaded but other faunus were trying to contain the fire as much as possible. Katherine and the others from the house saw what was happening and joined them. Then from a hole in the house the four emerged from the inferno.

"How is she?"katherine asked

"I'm fine, though i'm pretty tired right now"onxyia answered as katherine smiled.

Nadia breathed a sigh of relief but not before feeling someone embrace her. She looked down to see zoey embracing her happy she wasn't hurt. Nadia returned the embrace to her daughter happy they made it.

The panther then walked out falling to its side tired it rushed over to it to see if it was okay.

"Where is Jazmine? I didn;t see her come out"blake asked nerovusly about her little sister.

Ghira looked at his wife who was rubbing the panthers side. The panther seemed to understand as ghira walked over to delcan motioing for him to take his coat off. He did as ghira walked over all placed it on the panther.

"Ummm everyone don't be surprised by this"kali said as she did her best to cover the panther. The panther closed its eyes and almost instantly started to change. The long black tail shrunk, blakc fur was repalced with white skin, the paws turned into the hands and one metal foot of a girl, and the face of the panther was replaced with the face of jazmine.

Onxyia, Blake,Neo and Sun along with few others were a little surprised what they witnesses. The panther that appeared was blake little sister as she cltuhced the jacket that was big enough to cover her tight. Sun immediately turned away as Neo just blushed brightly it seems and jazmine noticed this.

"Jazmine?"blake said clearly surprised. Jazmine gave her big sister a smile before resting on their mother lap.

"Your sister tired after doing that. Let her rest for now. We'll explain after about what you sen"kali relied

"Umm we know someone who turned into a giant grimm before remember"sun added

Onxyia sighed"your not wrong about that"she replied looking at remorse in her hands smiling.

"Seriosuly what is with you people finding people that can turn into monster or animals?"aruna asked baffled at this.

They all shrugged their shoulder at this because they still couldn't explain it. It like people with weird semblance just surround them.

"Though it is an impressive semblance"sienna pointed out

They all then looked up gazing upon the still burning house but it was being cotnained.

"What do we do now?"aruna asked as she held her little brother sorrel in her arms.

None of them really had an answer of what to do but Onxyia looked back and saw the amount of fuanus that appeared with concerning looks on their faces. Something inside Onxyia seemed to spark as a choice was given to her as she gazed at the home.

She got up quickly from the ground and walked toward the middle of the stairs before facing the crowd.

"Years ago the faunus fought in the great war that turned the tide of many, many battle! What were they rewarded with?isolation! The humans gave the faunus of years past this island to call home because the humans couldn't accept them for who they were! Even today humans can't and won't acept the fuanus of who they are! Tell me what happens when that said island and those that live on it are attacked not by humans but by themselves. This is the result of that!"onxyia shouted gesturing to the belladonna home.

"The white fang doens't care who they hurt or what length they have to go to make their message clear. This is the message Ollie will spread if we allow this to continue! He will attack your homes. Kill anyone that says differently from him or stand in his way. He'll spare no one! He killed an innocent little faunus girl in vacou who stood up to him. More and more blood like hers and many others will be spilled and further ruin the faunus all together until someone says enough is enough and ends the pointless bloodshed!"She continued as murmur started to spread.

She then brought her hand onto rumorse handle as she lifted it into the air as the blade gleaned in the moonlight.

"I know your all scared….I am too but we have a choice to make right now. That is to either let them ruin the faunus name more and let them win. The second is that we say enough is enough! That we fight back against the White Fang and prevent more innocent faunus blood being spilled. I know im asking you alot right now to leave your homes, your lifestyle, to leave everything else to a battle we might lose. But we need to make a choice right now so decide how we will live and how faunus will be treated. And you need to make it now!"onxyia finished as she brought remorse down as more murmurs spreaded throughout the crowd.

At first no one stepped forward until ilia along with some of the others with them stepped smiled at them for stepping up.

Soon from the crowd a familiar orphanage employee raised their hand.

"I'll fight!"James shouted proudly. They were surprised to see him step up first.

Not even a second letter another hand was raised.

"Me too!"a jaguar faunus shouted. In mere seconds everyone in the crowd wanting to join the fight against the white fang as the crowd was now cheering.

Blake soon joined onxyia at her side looking over at the crowd."this'll be alot of work you talking training, weapons and even transprotation. How are we going to transnprot an island worth fo people"blake asked

Neo stepped up smiling it seems as she signed to the cat faunus.

"My dad still has some connections in Mistral and Vacou. "Neo signed smiling as they knew what she meant.

"Good old uncle still helping you from beyond the grave"zoey said with neo smiling a little.

Yahto stepped up with colt by his two were smiling and sienna and nadia joined them.

"We can train people here in close quarters combat"sienna began.

"Yeah you got two ex boxing champions here to get these people into shape."nadia exclaimed proudly tapping colt on the shoulder. Colt laughed proudly at this.

"You can say that again Nadia"colt added smiling.

Yahto cracked his knuckles and neck quickly"yeah, plus I might as well help make sure no one dies. Plus it could come in handy in the future."he added

Sun walked over with a smile on his face looking at the crowd alongside onxyia parents.

"That was a great speech dear"katherine complimented her daughter who gently nodded. Declan had a proud look on his face as he looked at all the people standing up to fight for their home.

"Welp that was a great speech. Though how much time do we have until ollie attack haven?"sun asked

"We have about two month and two weeks but…they have allies there"ilia answered worrying the group.

"What do you mean by that?"ghira asked stepping forward.

Ilia wrapped her arms around herself"When we had sorrel three people came to the camp. One was a man I didn't know but another was a guy called burrows or something. "Ilia said as the group raised an eyebrow.

"They got the knuckledusters helping them, that means betty and clay are helping them"yahto added to their surprise.

Ghira stroked his chin"that is indeed surprising, but ollie must be desperate to work with criminals it seems"ghira said but ilia shook her head.

"No they also have….a women with them, one of those grimm knights"ilia said in fear as they all went wide eyed by the mention of that.

"Are you kidding me, another one of the twelve creepy knights?"sun said as nadia looked at him. He looked at her as she smiled a little as a few tears streamed down her face. Then she placed a hand on his shoulder nodding to him and he returned it.

"Did you get a look at her, maybe what type of grimm she is?"neo singed to sienna who translate.

Ilia thought for a moment before answering"she looked like some type of snake….her name was Kiyo. But they also called her subject Tau"ilia said

"Sounds like a king tajtu maybe"yahto suggested as they nodded in agreement.

Onxyia looked at her before placing a hand on her friends shoulder with a soft looked at her a little confused what she was doing.

"Don't worry we'll stop them, we have plenty of time before haven is attacked"onxyia replied knowing what they were getting themselves into.

two month and two weeks wasn't a whole lot of time but better than nothing as it was up to them to train the people of menagerie so they could be ready to fight the White Fang and their new allies. They were up to the challenge even though it was going to be a tough challenge indeed.
