Despite having ended the war, Aang and the gang are finding that peace doesn't magically return after you defeat the bad guy and that it takes more time for some wounds to heal... especially when those wounds cut deeper than merely skin. Sokka and Zuko play a game together called "The Thing," and then Sokka confronts him about the thing. The is supposed to be the same setting as Happy Accidents and Love Is Nothing But A Heartbreak despite the fact that the characters do different things. I just really like picturing this place in my head.

A few months after the war, the gang is still unwinding at the beach house. It should be a great place for Aang and Katara to start building their romantic relationship now that there is nothing more between them, but Aang has been avoiding her. This is a prequel to Happy Accidents. I did not intend for Happy Accidents to have a prequel. In fact, this story is a happy accident.

After his failed capture, Zuko falls ill from his own mental turmoil and comes out a whole new person. Now determined to end the war, the crowned prince and his uncle go on a journey to find the Avatar. But along with his new clarity is confusion as Zuko is left to navigate his now open emotions as his spirit is led to a certain Water Tribe Boy. [Zukka] [Jetko in the start]

Zuko and Katara both have their reasons for an arranged marriage. Love may be an idealistic expectation for their alliance, but with a little trust and more than a bit of luck, friendship might just be possible. He probably thinks he's hidden the sorrow in his voice, but she knows him too well to be fooled. "It looks like this is the end." This is simply what I imagined to go through Toph's mind when it looked like she was about to die.
