After Thorin's death, it was a long time before Bilbo had the heart to make a joke again. A year later, Bofur helps Bilbo return to who he used to be. Fluff, with a bit of angst. Bilbo/Bofur, past Bilbo/Thorin.

The group are joined by Ulren, an Elf, and ward of Thranduil. A friend to Gandalf, and somewhat of an enemy to Thorin. She vows to care for Bilbo throughout the quest, but is bitter about the rest of her company. Perhaps such a quest can change such a thing. (Involves an OC)
