Sorry but here's some chapters for you guys. I'm basically swamped by work and other things. And some parts are a little bit more darker. And some changes have been made. Some songs have been removed and some have been added.
And I love the song recommendations you guys give me. And it hurts when I see one that I like but I'm saving it for a later chapter. And thinking you guys might think I'm ignoring them. But that's not true. Some of those songs will be played by Jaune or other musicians in this story.
And sorry if there's still some grammar errors but at least I'm trying to fix them.

ACT ONE
Jaune is sitting at a table inside the library. Trying to finish his homework for History class. He's nearly done with it when he takes a break. Closing the history text book and pulling out his scroll and starting to look through his saved audios.
Once he plays the one he's been looking for, he pulls out a black notebook and opens it. Many pages filled with many words and melodies. He stops at a blank page and replays the melody and writes lyrics. So into writing this new song, he didn't notice someone grabbing his text book. Instinctively he grabs the book and looks up to see a girl with black hair. He recognizes her, but ignores her and goes back to writing. Leaving her to be confused for a bit before leaving. As he is about to finish his new song, which nobody would ever hear. He stops for a bit to look up, and that's when he notices Ruby and her team coming towards his table. Also seeing his team walking with them.
He quickly closes his notebook and hides it inside his backpack. Once there, they took their seats and started to work on their homework. Jaune notices Nora sitting in front of him "Hey Fearless leader, what have you been up to?" Jaune remains quiet for a bit. It's been awhile since he actually talked to his friends.
"Nothing much actually, and you?" Jaune asks while putting away his work.
"Me and Renny have been good, we went out with Neon and her partner Flynt. We went to the zoo and I had so much fun" Jaune stands up and swings his backpack on.
"That's good Nora" he says while pushing his chair, "Is everything alright Jaune?" Ruby asks, concern for her fellow leader.
It's been awhile since they hanged out. She's been spending time with Penny and that cool girl from team BRNZ.
"Yea, just going back to the dorms" just as he was about to leave. He notices Emerald and Mercury walking towards them. Now he desperately wants to leave but to his misery, he saw his partner stand up and make her way to Mercury. His heart just kept sending this cold/painful feeling through his body when he saw their affectionate kiss.
It's been four weeks since he lost his chance to finally confess his feelings towards her. All he needed was a little push and Ren was the one who did it. He told him that she had feelings for him since day one. But he was such a dense motherfucker to even notice. He was chasing the wrong girl, he hated himself for that.
"Hey Vomit Boy, where you going? We just got here" Yang asks. Of course she never noticed he was here and not with them when they got here.
"Just finished my assignment , I need to take a shower before I go out to Vale" he tells them with a fake smile. Which nobody notice or didn't care. Walking pass his partner, whose to focus on her boyfriend.

Inside JNPR room
Jaune is taking a long shower. Feeling every scar upon his skin. Many riddle all over his body. Once done, he gets out of the shower and hesitates to look at himself in the mirror. But he knew that he had to, to remind himself. He slowly walks to the mirror and looks at his upper body.
Multiple scars all over his chest, shoulders, abs and arms. With his left hand, he traces a scar that stands out by three reasons. It's the longest one and on his chest, but most of all. It's the last scar he got from that maniac.
He looks down to it and sees the scars on his wrist. Their self inflected, he pulls away from that scar and looks down to his own hate. His eyes go dull and starts to remember the last time he did it.
FlashBack
He's in his room, holding a pocket knife with his right hand and slowly tracing the blade over his wrist. Seeing the blood leaking out from his wound. And spilling onto the floor, hearing the sound, smelling it. Drove him to cut deeper, never grunting, moaning or crying. He's used to the pain, the hate of his own life. Closing his eyes and taking slow and deep breaths.
But he stops when he hears his twin scream coming from beside him. He turns to see her in this white dress with long blonde hair. So lost in his self loathing, he noticed her. Seeing her covering her mouth with both hands and tears streaming down her cheeks.
He drops the knife and goes to her and tries to grab her. "Joan listen-" knocking stops him on his tracks and looks at the door. "Master Jaune, is everything alright? I just heard Miss.Joan scream" she was about to move her hands away from her mouth. But Jaune stops her before she could. By putting his hands on her wrists and his eyes staring daggers into her's.
"Everything is fine Alfred, she thought she saw a spider. But it's just a toy from Halloween" he didn't notice that his wound is still leaking. Which lands on her dress. "Very will Master Jaune-", "It's just Jaune Alfred, please", "Sorry Jaune, dinner will be ready in an hour. Your parents are still over at your sister's place. So it'll be just you and Joan with the twins" he then left.
Jaune lets go of his sister and notices the bruises he left on her wrists. His wound finally closes and he rolls down his sleeve. "You don't tell anyone about this Joan. Or I'll hurt you" his eyes dull up.

Back to the present
"Jaune?" Ren's voice snaps him out of his memories. He turns to his clothes and starts to put them on. Covering his past, he doesn't want anyone to see his scars. But most of all, there's two scars that he wishes for nobody to see. The biggest secret from the D'Arc's. Two scars to remind him of his Faunus side. Where his wings used to be.
He lost them when he was kidnapped by a group that hated Faunus, The Humanity is what they called themselves. He hated his wings for what they caused him. Being the freak of the family, as his Uncles, Aunts and cousins called him. Being the only member of his family that was born a Faunus.
At first they thought his mother was having an affair but they took a DNA test. Some how I was still my father's son. Every time there was a party or gathering, he was made to hide his wings. By coats or hoodies that had pockets to hold them. But that wasn't the only thing about him that made him a freak.
But there was more to add with those wings. The way he heals so fast and his strength might sound incredible. But getting told to hide them and that if news gets out about it. He'll be experimented on and become a test animal. Is one of the insults his cousins would say while making his life into a living hell.
But his family loved them, and his favorite Butler. His grandmother and Uncle Cash are the only ones who weren't ashamed of them. The three people who would spend the most time with him. Sneaking him out of the castle every chance they got. But of course he would wear those coats and hoodies.
But he loved spending time with his Uncle Cash in town. With his Nana inside her greenhouse and going into the forest. Where he was allowed to fly around with her. She loved them the most, she would call him her Archangel. loved him with all her heart. Thinking about her always made him tear up. The way she would always take care of him and take his side. But his grandfather always avoided him till his Nana force him to spend some time together.
"Jaune?", "Yea sorry Ren, I was just brushing my teeth" he wipes the tears away. And puts on his long sleeve pumpkin Pete hoodie on. He wanted the short sleeve one but that wouldn't help with hiding his scars. He eventually walks to see Ren sitting on his bed. "Hey Ren, waiting for Nora?" he asks, knowing that those two stick together almost the whole time.
"No, I came alone to check on you" he calmly answers. Jaune just grabs his wallet from his desk "Thanks Ren but I'm fine" he lies, but he knew that Ren would notice anyway.
"Jaune-" Ren said but Nora burst through the door with Neon and her partner Flynt. "Hurry Renny, the movie will start soon!" She shouts. Ren was about to say something but Jaune walks beside him and places his hand on his shoulder "Go have fun Ren, that's an order from your leader" he playfully tells him with that fake smile he's learn to conjure up ever since he was three.
At first Ren was about to say something but Nora grabs him and pulls him towards the door "You heard fearless leader Renny" once she drags him out through the door. He waits five minutes before he loses that smile and goes.
Going over to his bed and pulling out a red backpack and leaves. Walking down the hallway he sees someone who he stopped talking for a while. He passes by Velvet and Coco, he used to hang out with Velvet but she started to give Cardin a chance.
The three of them would talk till Cardin made his move and asked Velvet to go out with him. He still doesn't know why she said yes, knowing that guy made her go through hell at the beginning of the school year. Ever since then she wouldn't have time to hang out with him. So he just ignores her and keeps walking by them like any other day.
Just as he was turning the corner did he not notice Velvet turning around to see him walking away. He never stops, he's used to being alone since he came to Vale. So he just kept on moving forward to his Friday night plans.
Some time has passed with him getting to Vale and then him getting a taxi. He asks if he could drop him off near down town. Once there, he pays the driver and goes to a abandoned park. Going inside a bathroom stall and taking off his hoodie and straightening his white dress shirt.
He pulls out a glasses case from his pocket and takes out a pair and puts them on. Then takes out a wig from his backpack and perfectly puts it on. This wig is specifically made for undercover work. It's use of this technology that's sticks to your own hair and holds in place is amazing.
Somehow his grandfather got him one. It has this small button on the side off his head. You hold it for five seconds before it comes off. The red wig is long enough to make a small ponytail. Which he makes a small ponytail and checks himself. He then puts away his hoodie inside his backpack. But not before taking out a hat and putting it on.
He starts to walk out and goes to his distention. Where he can drink away the pain he's felt so many times in his life. Since he lost his Nana and Uncle Cash. And to get away from his present problems too. He stops in front of this bar he found a while back. It's a perfect place for him to be at.
He walks inside and notice only six people are there. Two people sitting at the bar and four at a table. He made his way to the bar and takes a seat. The bartender sees him walk in and pulls out a bottle of whiskey and a glass for him.
"Thanks Tom, how's the kids?" Jaune asks with a small smile. Tom is pouring his drink into the glass "They're doing good actually, and let me guess" he finishes and places the bottle aside and moves the glass towards, which Jaune takes quickly.
"Still having girl problems?" Jaune looks surprised "How do you know?" Tom smirks. "Cuándo un hombre pone la cara imbécil" he leans on the bar with his elbow. "Es por una mujer" he said in a language that Jaune didn't understand "What?", "It means, when a man makes an idiotic face" he gets off the bar and crosses his arms. "It's because of a woman" he tells him with a teasing smile.
The two guys sitting at the bar laugh. Jaune blushes and looks away but in doing so. He sees the other guys from the group at the table laughing too. But the two girls glare at them.
"Maybe" Jaune says while drinking his whiskey "Want to talk about it?" Tom asks as he's reaching for a cup and a rug. but Jaune kept drinking, ignoring him. Tom took that as a no so he moves over to the other guys.
Jaune was thinking about his problems before he heard the bell from the door which means someone came in. He hears the steps till they stop right beside him. "Will you look at that" the stranger said before putting his hand on Jaune's shoulder.
"If it isn't my old friend" Jaune recognizes that voice from his past. "Hey Max" Jaune said with a little hint of joy "Violet" Max said while taking a seat next to him. Max orders whiskey too and they remained quiet till Max opens his mouth.
But Jaune beat him to it "No" he said without looking at him. "Come on Violet, just hear me out and I promise I will never bother you again" Max begs. Jaune glances towards him and sees his pleading expression. He sighs and signals him to continue. Max smiles "I need you back Violet... I need you back". Jaune turns to see him and notices the cheap suit he's wearing and the stained jacket.
"What happened?" he asks, concern present on his voice. Max looks down to his drink. "Josh happened" he said with venom in his voice "He took everything, my company and" he looks sad for a split second before rage came into play. "My wife" Jaune turns back to his own drink. He's surprised to hear that. He knew his wife, such a nice lady.
"I'm sorry to hear that" Jaune said "But I have a life now Max" Max looks at Jaune's hand on his own glass. "No you don't Violet", "What do you mean?" Jaune asks which makes Max to take a shot of his drink.
"I know about you coming here almost every night since you've been here in Vale, Jaune" he whispers his name with a sad voice. Jaune tightens his grip on the glass. He would have shattered it but once he felt Max's hand land on his forearm.
"Come on Jau-Violet, I need you" Jaune then looks at Max. "And I know, that you need me too" Jaune then pulls his hand away and acts like he didn't care. But Max knew he had him, all he needs to do is push a little bit more. So he gets this idea, he stands up and goes to Tom and whispers something to him. Which Tom looks surprised by what he's hearing.
He looks at Jaune and then whispers something back to Max. He eventually goes to the bar. Jaune is confused till he sees a group of guys coming out and going up to this small stage where they kept their instruments.
Max has this shit eating grin before he takes off his Jacket and puts it on the bar. He starts to roll up his sleeves and puts his hands inside his pockets. but once the band start to play, he walks towards him and stands behind him.
"Right here, right now I put the offer out, I don't want to chase you down I know you see it". He sang which makes everyone to turn to their direction. Jaune is surprised to hear him sing again. "You run with me. And I can cut you free. Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in" the two girls pull out their scrolls and start to film them "So trade that typical for something colorful. And if it's crazy, live a little crazy" Max makes a funny face but then he went back to normal.
"You can play it sensible, a king of conventional, or you can risk it all and see." Max takes out his hands from his pockets and places them on Jaune's shoulders and moves his face to his right side. Near his ear "Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play 'Cause I got what you need" Max moves his head to his left side "So come with me and take the ride It'll take you to the other side 'Cause you can do like you do, or you can do like me. Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key"
Max then pulls away from his ear and squeezes his shoulders "Oh, damn! Suddenly you're free to fly It'll take you to the other side" everyone was enjoying the show till they saw Jaune push Max's hands off his shoulders. Jaune stood up, turns around and looks into Max's eyes "Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in. Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen. So thanks, but no I think I'm good to go. Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in" Jaune sang with a smooth voice which got everyone surprised to hear.
Mostly Tom who knew the kid the longest "Now I admire you, and that whole show you do. You're onto something, really it's something. But I'll have to leave that up to you" Jaune made his way around Max who kept that smile "Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play. Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride" Jaune went to get his backpack that is on the coat hanger "I don't need to see the other side" he sang that part low. "So go and do like you do I'm good to do like me. Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key. Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine I don't need to see the other side" Jaune reaches for his backpack but stops when Max says/sings this part.
"Now is this really how you like to spend your days?. Whiskey and misery, and classes" Max sang in a serious tone, which got Jaune to turn around with a glare. "If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town. (A image of his uncles and aunts came to mind)Disgraced and disowned" his hands turn to fists and they shake from the rage. "But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little" Max got close to him with his hand stretched out for a handshake.
"Just let me give you the freedom to dream. And it'll wake you up and cure your aching. Take your walls and start 'em breaking" Max sees Jaune letting his rage leave him. And seeing his eyes on his hand. "Now that's a deal that seems worth taking. But I guess I'll leave that up to you" everyone in the bar even Tom and his band stop playing and started to say with the rest of the customers "Take the deal" repeatedly till Jaune gets this small smile.
And grabs a hold of Max's hand and shakes. Making everyone to cheer for them. Hearing them, made Jaune and Max to sing together "Don't you wanna get away to a whole new part you're gonna play. Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride. To the other side, So if you do like I do, So if you do like me. Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key" they start to dance in sync which the girls couldn't stop squealing.
"Oh, damn! Suddenly we're free to fly. We're going to the other side, so if you do like I do(To the other side)So if you do like me (We're going to the other side). Cause if we do we're going to the other side" Jaune grabs his backpack and takes off his hat and throws it to a table. Which lands perfectly on the center .Max joins him by grabbing his jacket and going over to him. "We're going to the other side" they walked out, leaving people smiling.
Till Tom froze up "HEY, YOUR BILL!" Tom shouts to get Jaune and Max to come back and pay their drinks.
