3rd Person (P.O.V)
Cassie Potter-Black sat looking out into the ocean, wiggling her toes between the sand. It's been a couple of months since the war ended and once her duty was over she made the decision to leave the magical world.
She did miss her friends but the last few years have taken a toll on her especially the year she spent on the run. After defeating Tom Riddle, she decided to break the chains that made her feel as a slave to the magical world.
Cassie honestly no longer so magical Britain at home it had taken everything from her but her friends and son. She has very few memories of happiness the last couple of years as she did not want people to turn on her again if anyone discovered she was immortal.
Cassie was brought out of her thoughts by a girl yelling. She turned her head green eyes curious as a very tall russet skin boy walked on the beach being followed by a girl with brown hair.
Jacob Black walked on the beach as he try to keep control of his temper before he lost it on Bella Swan. He had once had a crush on her and tried to pursue her even after phasing.
But after the night he saved her after she tried to take her life and went after Edward Cullen he had given up. He refused to be used anymore.
"Jake please talk to me". Bella pleated trying to grab Jacob's arm.
"Bella just stop it". Jacob said whirling around on her. "Just leave me alone you already made your choice when you chose Cullen, the thing that broke your heart...". He said but Bella cut him off talking his hand.
"Jake please I love...". Bella said but was cut off when Jacob yank his hand out of hers.
"Isabella you already fooled me once, I would never let you do it again. Why are you even here, shouldn't you be with your leech". Jacob hissed at the end.
"Jake please I don't want to lose you". Bella said with tears in her brown eyes. Cassie was still paying attention to the commotion as she rolled her eyes at the girl.
Cassie wondered if the girl had any self-respect from what it seems she is trying to get her claws into two different boys. Which one of them being Jacob refused to be apart of it. Not knowing who the other boy is she felt bad for him slightly as here is his so-called girlfriend proclaiming her feelings to another.
Cassie didn't know why but she felt compelled to do something. Before she could even question herself, she was already standing with her shoes in hand walking.
"Jacob love what took you so long". Cassie called out. She felt as if she was having an outer body experience because she was unable to stop herself.
Jacob and Bella stopped arguing as the shapeshifter found himself turning around as his name was called out. In front of him was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen meeting her beautiful emerald eyes. His whole world shifted it was all about her anything left that he felt for Bella disappeared into ashes.
"And who the hell are you?". Bella asked angrily at the girl that was walking towards them.
"Hi I'm Cassie, I'm Jacob girlfriend". Cassie said giving Bella a fake smile as she touch Jacob arm.
"Funny how Jake has never mentioned you". Bella said crossing her arms over her chest.
"I'm sure he wouldn't as he and myself have only recently started dating and from what I've gathered you haven't really been talking to each other". Cassie said as she silently questioned her sanity.
Jacob is silent during the interaction of his newly discovered imprint Cassie and his once friend and crush Bella. He is in complete shock as he was losing his temper with every word that came out of Bella's mouth on to have his world snapped into place when he heard the beautiful voice of his mate just walking up to him on the beach.
Her British accent he hoped it would never go away. Her touch on his skin made him instantly calm down but also wanted to grab her and pull her into his arms. There was a huge height difference as he was 6'4and still growing, and she looked barely to be 5 foot 1.
He was barely paying attention as he took Cassie and she had beautiful red hair emerald green eyes, pale skin. She was absolutely beautiful. She had two scars on her forehead, one was a faded lightning bolt, and the other on her opposite eyebrow looking like a accident.
Jacob had to stop himself from being angry at the thought of somebody hurting his mate. Was it going to be a long and hard conversation when the truth came out.
"Jake". Bella voice snapped him into reality.
"What Bella?". Jacob said getting annoyed.
"How could you do this to me. You said you loved me and would wait". Bella whispered as Jacob nostril started to flare in anger. The only thing keeping him anchored was Cassie's hand on his arm.
"The world doesn't revolve around you Isabella. You've made your choice and I've made mine. To you I will always come in second no matter what I do. Those months Cullen was away I was at your side. The night we almost kissed you rejected me and chose to go after him. I'm done just leave me alone". Jacob said as Bella eyes widen.
Cassie groaned wondering what mess she decided to walk into instead of walking away when they arrived. She just doesn't understand what possessed her to help try and help Jacob out.
"It was nice meeting you Isabella. Come on Jacob my friends are waiting for us". Cassie said smiling at Jacob. She wanted to get way from the girl who looked like she was about to blow a gasket.
"Alright, I'll see you around Isabella". Jacob said as he notice his meat looks uncomfortable as her smile looks strain, and the glare Bella was giving his imprint was making him angry.
Cassie and Jacob walked away from Bella, who was cursing as she stomped away in the opposite direction. The two walked in silence for a bit neither knowing what to say. Cassie berated herself for getting in the middle of something that wasn't her business.
"I know I said my name earlier but in case your interested my name is Cassiopia or Cassie for short. It's nice to meet you given the circumstances". Cassie said awkwardly as she felt the heat rising in her cheeks.
"I'm Jacob, why did you help me back there?". Jacob asked looking down at his imprint who's face had a bit of a red tint.
Cassie shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not ashamed to admit I eavesdropped on your argument. I really felt bad and you looked like you were going to strangle her, so I help to get her away from you". Cassie said playing with her locket, which has become a habit of hers recently.
"Thanks for your help back there. Bella used to be my friend. She hasn't been able to take a hint that I was done with all of her drama. Anyways, I've never seen you around here before what brings you to the area?". Jacob said as they walked side-by-side.
"Needed a fresh start so why not move to a small town that has weather I'm use to". Cassie said nonchalantly.
"How's Forks treating you and your family as they tend to gossip with new arrivals". Jacob asked as he hadn't heard anything about a new family in town.
"Don't know yet this is the first time I've ventured out of home, and I don't live in town I live on the border of Forks and La Push". Cassie said not noticing Jacob's eyes widen a bit as the only property on the border was a Villa everyone knows hasn't been lived in decades.
"The Black Villa?". Jacob asked curiously.
"Yea it belongs to my papa's family". Cassie said before Jacob could reply her phone went off.
Cassie took out her phone from her pocket seeing a text message from Luna. Her eyes widen as she discreetly looked over at Jacob and back at the congratulations on finding one of her mates text.
"Is everything alright?". Jacob asked worriedly as his imprint looked frozen. Cassie shook her head not bothering to respond to text message and slipping her phone back into her pocket. She looked up into Jacob's brown eyes and finally felt something snap into place. "Cassie?". Jacob question worriedly as she just stared at him.
Cassie snapped out of it before smiling. "Yea I'm fine sorry it's my younger sister she was worried about me and was wondering if I was on my way back". Cassie said easily ignoring the tiny pinch of guilt she felt.
"Your leaving?". Jacob asked in disappointment.
"Yea sorry I start my first day of school tomorrow and I still have a few things to do". Cassie said smiling as they reached her motorcycle the one that belongs to her papa Sirius.
"Is that your bike?". Jacob asked as wide, and as the bike was a classic.
"Yea it belongs to my papa, I inherited it after he passed away". Cassie said, smiling sadly as she had the keys in her hand.
Jacob had to stop himself from pulling his imprint into a hug. He didn't like the sadness on her beautiful face as she looked at the bike. "Hey Cassie I would like to see you again if it's possible. I want to ask for your number". Jacob said at his imprint looked up at him with a smirk on her face.
"Interesting, I'll give you my number on one condition". Cassie said eyes twinkling she wasn't going to make it easy. Jacob nodded as she got onto her bike. "Tomorrow my family and I are having a grand opening for our bookstore in town after school. If your really interested come by and I will give it to you then". Cassie said smiling as Jacobs eyes widen.
"Alright I'll see you tomorrow". Jacob said as he stuff his hands in his pocket. He know what his Imprint was doing and he was up for the challenge.
"See you tomorrow Jacob". Cassie said winking at him before she took off on her bike. It wasn't until she was out of sight that Jacob started cursing himself as he hadn't ask her for the bookshop address.
Jacob sighed as he turned around and started walking home. He hoped his dad or pack had some kind of information on the new family that moved to the border. He was determined to see Cassie again.
