The Sweetest Sister

Moon woke up that morning to hear Sun humming in his sleep and he chuckled before getting up and quietly moving to Katie's room, peeking inside to find the little one wide awake and lifting her head up. Seeing her brother, she smiled and grabbed onto the bars of her crib, standing up while holding onto the railing. "Good morning, little Sugardrop," he said with a smile as he went in and picked the little one up into his arms, noting her fox tail was all bushy and he chuckled before smoothing it gently with one hand. "Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed," he said, nuzzing her nose with his nose and making her giggle.

Moon chuckled before going through the morning routine of changing the baby's diaper and dressing her for the day. He selected a blue dress that had a smiling sun on it. "Perfect," he said as she sat up. "Alright, now that you're dressed, let's go wake up Sun. It's his turn to feed you this morning."

Katie reached up to his brother, who picked her up and held her securely as he carried her to his and Sun's room, going up to Sun's bed and placing Katie on the bed. Sun was still humming in his sleep and his humming drew the baby's attention. She crawled over to where his head was and sat down, cocking her head to the side curiously, to which Moon had to work on holding back his laughter.

The two-year-old baby began gently patting Sun's face, but he didn't stir, still humming. She kept trying before pouting a little and looking up at Moon, who smiled and held up a small red ball, making the baby's eyes light up as she knew what it was.

Moon carefully placed the ball on the end of Sun's nose, being careful not to wake him. He then tapped on it while looking at Katie, seeing her attention was on the red clown nose prop. He took another one out of his pocket and placed it on his own nose, making the baby look up at him as he carefully squeezed the red nose on his face before pointing at Sun.

Katie immediately wanted to mimic what her brother was doing, so she put her small hand on the clown nose that was on Sun's nose and closed her fist over it to squeeze it as best she could.

HONK!

Sun yelped in surprise, jumping awake and falling out of bed, making the little girl jump too. Moon burst into uncontrollable laughter, holding his sides before he sat down, laughing too hard to even stand up properly. The baby looked over the edge of the bed to see Sun sitting up. He shook his head to get his senses back and saw the baby reaching for him, looking worried. "Oh, Sunbeam, be careful," he said, reaching forward to make sure she didn't fall off the bed. Katie grabbed the red nose on his face and it again made the loud 'HONK!' sound. She jumped a little before giggling and he chuckled before turning to see Moon was curled up on the floor, a huge smile on his face as he giggled.

"Oh, I see," Sun said, smirking before getting an idea, taking the clown nose off his face. He then placed a blanket on the floor and set the little girl on the blanket. "Watch this, Katie," he said in a low voice before crouching and waiting for a moment before springing and landing on Moon, who yelped in surprise before Sun began tickling his underarms, squeezing the clown nose in his hand as he did so.

The room was filled with loud honking, making Katie laugh as she watched her brothers, Moon laughing as he was being tickled and Sun laughing as he tickled his brother, still squeezing the clown nose to make it seem like Moon's tickle spots would honk while he was being tickled to pieces.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! SUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUHUN!" Moon protested.

"Using our sweet little sister to prank me? Why, you scoundrel!" Sun playfully scolded before going for Moon's stomach, which was a huge weak spot for his counterpart.

Moon squealed loudly and Katie, finding the sound so funny, laughed so hard that she nearly flopped over, but caught herself in time. Seeing this, Sun stopped the tickle torture and went over to Katie, picking her up and holding her as she calmed down. "You okay, kiddo?" He asked.

The baby smiled up at him and he smiled back, rubbing her nose gently with his own. "Aww, who's just the cutest little sister?" He cooed to her.

Moon got up on his hands and feet in a crouched position and crabwalked over to them. "Who laughs at her brothers' silly jokes?" He asked with a smile before looking concerned. "Still, are you okay, Sun? I didn't mean for you to fall off the bed."

"I'm alright, Moon," his counterpart reassured him. "A bit of a bruised pride, perhaps, but I'm not hurt."

A message from Roxy popped up and they took Katie down into the Daycare, opening the door to see the wolf there and she grinned. "Guess what?" She asked.

"What?" Moon asked curiously.

"The Pizzaplex is closed for this whole week. In fact, it's closed until next year since Christmas is close," she said.

"Really?" Sun asked in surprise.

"Yeah. Miss Mikalea wanted some time for the renovations to be completed. While that's being done, Katie can explore and we can have a birthday party for her."

"A birthday party?" Moon asked, blinking in confusion. "But Roxy, we don't know Katie's actual birthday. All we know is that she's two years old."

"That's okay," the wolf said. "We don't have to know exactly when her birthday is, but we can pick a day to celebrate. Plus, I don't think she's had a birthday party before now, if the files that were with her when you guys found her are anything to go by."

The two Daycare Animatronics nodded. "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt to pick a day for her birthday," Sun said. "We kind of already figured she ages a little slower due to what happened before she arrived."

"And she does like anything winter themed," Moon pointed out. "Remember those new blankets we got in for the Daycare? The winter-themed ones?"

"Oh, yeah," the Daytime Animatronic said with a nod. "Katie pulled out one of each and we found her cuddled in them and napping along with her plushies."

"Maybe she's a winter baby then," Roxy said with a shrug.

Moon nodded. "Well, why not?" He said. "If everything does match up, then...I think Roxy is right. Katie is a winter baby and someday this month would be as good of a day for her birthday as any day of the year."

"Why not the same date of the day you found her, Moon, but for this month?" Sun suggested.

"Makes sense," Roxy said with a smile.

The Nighttime Animatronic smiled. "Okay," he said. "That means her birthday...is today then."

Sun checked the calendar and gasped. "You're right!" He exclaimed. "Oh, we need to put a party together for her right away!"

"How about you guys follow me?" The wolf animatronic said with a smile as she turned and began to walk away, motioning them to follow her. They did, Moon holding Katie, who snuggled in his hug and he kissed her forehead in affection. They soon reached Bonnie Bowl and found the others waiting for them with a large cake and presents. Sun paused as he saw all that before looking at Roxy.

"You sneaky wolf!" He said without heat, chuckling.

"Well, had to set this up in secret to not spoil the surprise," she playfully retorted back, smiling.

Katie's eyes were wide as she saw the cake, looking at it with awe. "It's a party for you, Sugardrop," Moon said. "Today's all about you."

"Come on! The birthday girl needs to blow out her candles!" Monty said with a cheer.

The nighttime animatronic carefully held Katie as they moved closer to the cake and before anyone could encourage her, the baby took a deep breath and blew as hard as she could, blowing out the candles. "Alright! Way to go, sweetie!" Chica cheered.

"Awesome job, Superstar!" Freddy said.

"Huh, wonder how she knew how to do that?" Sun said curiously.

"She hasn't been in the daycare when there has been a party," Moon said gently.

"Oh, I think I know how she knew," Chica said. "The other day when I was watching her, I was following a recipe on a video on our new phones and it showed a few clips of children blowing out birthday candles."

"So she mimicked what she had seen," Monty said before laughing. "I knew my little Water Lily was a smart cookie."

Katie giggled at hearing her brother laugh and Roxy smiled. "Alright, let's get the pup some cake and eat too," she said.

Chica carefully cut a piece of cake for the two-year-old child, making sure it wasn't too big. "There you go, sweetie," she said, putting the cake in front of the child while the little one sat in Moon's lap.

The party was filled with laughter as Katie, at first unsure about the cake, stuck a little finger in it and tasted it carefully first before suddenly plunging her face into it, making them all laugh as Moon made sure the child didn't get hurt. Frosting got all over the child's face, making them all laugh. "Oh, you silly girl," Moon said playfully, gently booping his little sister's nose.

Freddy looked up at the sing for Bonnie Bowl and Roxy noticed and smiled. "I think Bonnie and Foxy would love Katie," she said.

"Do you think...they are somewhere?" He asked.

"Yeah," she said softly with a nod. "They are. And when we get them back, we'll introduce them to Katie. I'm sure they'll be ecstatic to be part of the family too."

"And no doubt protective of her as we are," Freddy said with a nod.

The wolf nodded before their attention turned back to the party where Katie was opening her gifts, none of the animatronics knowing that the baby knew something they didn't.

Hmm? What could Katie know that they don't? Mysteries upon mysteries. :)
