Annabeth was hyper-focused on the paragraph in front of her. Her fingers were flying across her keyboard as she rushed to get all of her thoughts down before her brain could move on to something else. If she didn't write a thought down immediately, it would take her ages to get it back. She was dimly aware of Percy sliding out of the seat across from her, but she didn't bother looking up. She knew that wherever he was going, he would be back soon.

She continued her paper, which was for an English class she and Percy were taking together at New Rome University. The rough draft for the paper wasn't due for another few weeks, so Percy hadn't started it yet. Annabeth had wanted to get a head start on their assignments, so she'd finished the book early and come to the campus library to work on it. Percy had tagged along. After a few more minutes of typing, Percy sat back down and tapped her foot with his own. She nodded an acknowledgment but didn't look up until she'd finished the paragraph she'd been working on.

"Yeah?" she asked, cracking her fingers. Percy smiled at her, his eyes soft. He scooted a large caramel mocha to her side of the table and grinned, waiting for her reaction. Annabeth blinked at the cup before looking back up at him. "Did you-"

"Remember to ask for an extra pump of chocolate?" he asked, leaning back in his chair. "Yeah."

Annabeth smiled and took a sip of the coffee. She let out a happy sigh and propped her chin up on her fist. "Did I ask for this?" she asked. The library did have a small coffee shop, but she wasn't sure if she'd mentioned that to him.

Percy shook his head and grinned wider, "No, but you just looked so cute and focused. Thought you might want it."

Annabeth ducked her head and took another sip of the coffee. It was really good. "Thank you," she murmured.

"Anytime, Wise Girl," Percy said with a wink.

Annabeth rolled her eyes and mumbled a half-hearted, "Seaweed Brain."

"Do I get points for that?" Percy asked, still grinning.

"Obviously," Annabeth said, going back to her essay. "It falls under random acts which I think is worth two points." Percy was quiet for a moment too long and Annabeth glanced up to catch the confused expression on his face. "What?" she demanded.

"You…" Percy trailed off, looking down. He drummed his fingers on the table. "You keep track?" he asked, finally looking up at her.

"Yeah," Annabeth said, puzzled. "Why wouldn't I?"

Percy cleared his throat. He still looked confused, so Annabeth minimized her Word Document and opened File Explorer instead.

"I can show it to you," Annabeth said, clicking through the different sub-categories in her folders until she found what she was looking for. "Here, come around."

Percy swallowed before standing and dragging his chair over to hers. Annabeth glanced at him from the corner of her eye, starting to get confused as well. She didn't understand why Percy was reacting so weirdly to this. He'd been the one to bring up Boyfriend Points. She pulled up the Excel Spreadsheet she'd made to keep track of them and started explaining it.

"This is the key," Annabeth said, pointing. She'd written it in Ancient Greek and used Comic Sans for the font to make it easier for her to read, the way she always did. "It gives a basis for how many points an action should receive. I figured that intent, effort, thought, personal cost to you, and sweetness should factor into the total, which is why there's a slight discrepancy in points here and here. While you holding the door for me takes physical effort, it's not something that takes a lot of time, and it doesn't require much thought either since you mostly just do it on autopilot. It's worth a half point every time you do it."

Percy blinked and nodded, "Uh, huh."

"Moving on," Annabeth said, taking his nod as the beginning of his understanding despite his brow furrowing. "Here, you put in a lot of effort to secure tickets for us to that new exhibit at the Met. While the tickets weren't necessarily expensive, they were in high demand and you were able to get them without me knowing until you surprised me with them. There was a high level of sweetness that was able to balance out the lack of physical effort and personal cost that it was worth ten points."

"Can I…have I ever lost a lot of points at one time?" Percy asked, looking over at her.

Annabeth made a face, "What? No. You've never lost points, Percy. That's not how Boyfriend Points work."

Percy looked back at the spreadsheet, eyes darting over the different points and categories, seeing how much he'd tallied up over the two and a half years of being together.

"When-" Percy looked back at her. "Why a spreadsheet?"

Annabeth shrugged, "Seemed like the easiest way to keep track."

"Okay, yes," Percy agreed. "I get that, I guess. But…why are you keeping track?"

Annabeth narrowed her eyes and looked at the spreadsheet, "Well, that's what-" She felt her cheeks get hot. She glanced back at Percy, self-conscious all of a sudden. "Is this weird?"

"I-" Percy paused. "No. I…it's sweet, 'Beth. I'm just trying to figure out your thought process here."

Annabeth twisted her hands in her lap, "I overheard Silena and Drew talking about Boyfriend Points a few months before we started dating. Drew was complaining that her boyfriend at the time was just doing nice things for her to get points, not because he cared about doing things for her, and Silena told her that it didn't count then." She shrugged and looked up at him. "So, I figured that sweetness and intent was a pretty big factor. I'd never heard of boyfriend points before then, so I wanted to make sure I did it right."

Percy smiled softly and leaned over to kiss her. "I love you," he murmured against her lips.

"I love you too," she whispered back, eyes closed. "You looked weirded out, are you sure it's not-"

Percy kissed her again, cutting her off, "No. Not weird. It's very you."

Annabeth laughed and opened her eyes, "So it is weird."

Percy was grinning, "Nooo, not at all."

Annabeth sighed and scrolled down, looking for the first entry. "I looked through this a lot when you were missing," she said softly. Percy squeezed her hand and hooked his chin over her shoulder. "So much so that I'd memorized the whole thing up until that point. It's why I was able to recreate it so easily after I-" she swallowed, flashing back to their time in Tartarus momentarily as she remembered why she didn't have Daedalus' laptop anymore.

Percy squeezed her hand again, bringing her back. "When you lost your laptop?" he murmured.

Annabeth nodded. Percy drifted his hand over to the laptop, continuing to scroll down where Annabeth had left off. His face got softer and softer the further back he went, seeing all the moments and things he'd done for her that she'd entered into the spreadsheet.

"I didn't realize these little things meant so much to you," Percy whispered, turning to her.

Annabeth smiled and kissed him, "They're not little, Seaweed Brain."

He kissed her nose and turned back to the laptop with a smile, "If you say so, Wise Girl."
