A Hero's Life Reboot EP 20: Adventures in Cyber-Space Part 1

Thunder crashed through the skies above Beverly Hills as rain poured non-stop on the peaceful city. In the spies' household, things were quiet for the team. Alex and Clover were watching a romantic movie that Sam was not interested in. She puts her book down, with a lack of interest, and gazes out the window in boredom. "You know, I thought Beverly Hills would be sunny, all of the time. Yet, here I am, bored out of my mind." "Well, the weatherman did say it will last all day, Sammy." "SHHHHUUU! I need to see if Janet will ever be reunited with James after the train incident!" Clover spoke out as Sam sighed and walked off.
She went upstairs to find something to fix her boredom, only to hear some noises from Ben's room, getting her attention as he noticed it was cracked open. She slightly opens it to see Alex's brother, staring at his TV screen as he mashes the buttons on a game controller. She notices on the screen, that she sees an armored dog, fighting off 2 giant, ugly cyborg mantis monsters on a rocky and lava planet. Just then, one bug got blown up, leaving one left.
"Time for the Rockets!" Ben smirks as he selects a rocket launcher weapon and starts firing away, blowing the weapons and then the head, making the creature sound out a disguising noise as it blows up, making the boy cheer. "YES! All 3 bug-brained generals are down! Now on to Mizar!" Ben cheers out as the cutscene plays. "Ben?" "Oh! Hey, Sam! What are you up to?"
The girl sighs out as she gazes outside at the rain. "It's so boring in here and out there. And I don't know what to do. Then I heard you, what's going on?" "Just playing this cool old-school game I got a couple of weeks back! It's Called 'Jet Force Gemini'! And it's awesome! You play as some space soldiers and an armored dog, that goes around different planets, fighting an alien empire of giant bugs!"
Ben resumes playing as Sam gazes at the screen to see the armored dog, fighting a bunch of giant bugs. The girl can't help but notice 2 things: The graphics were old-fashioned, like from the 90's. And there is lots of green goo from the blown-up bugs, making her grimace. "What's this game's rating?" She notices the box and holds it up. "'T for Teen'? Ben! You're not a teenager!" "Well, I'm 11, so that's close. Besides, do you have an idea of what to do while it pours water outside?" Ben responds with a raised eyebrow.
Sam ponders as she looks back at the storm outside. "Well... that does sound interesting, now that I think about it... And it is boring with the rain outside and a boring movie playing downstairs. Let me play." "Sorry! This space hero is a solo act! So, why would I want to do that, 'Sam No Fun'? That's right! Alex and Clover talked about that time at the Mall's fountain." Ben smirks out at Sam, who is scowling at the memory as she responds. "What? Scared that you might be blasted out by a girl?" Sam coyly asked, making the boy pause the game as he glanced back at Sam and held out a second controller.
Later, Ben and Sam were competing against each other, only for Sam to take the win in multiplayer. "YES! Girls rule and boys drool!" "Don't count your wins, yet! Watch how a real hero gets it done!" Match number 2 was underway as they both tried to shoot each other with weapons and items. Only for Ben's character, Juno, to get blown up by one of his mines! "OOOOOHHHH! Get blasted to bits by your Proximity Mines? Careful, you only have 2 lives left." Sam smirks, only for Ben to snatch her controller and force her character, Velia, down a bottomless pit, losing a life. "HEY! NO FAIR!" "Careful! You only have 1 life left!" Ben smirks, only for Alex to call out. "Guys! Knock it off! It's commercial time and me and Clover are busy in the kitchen getting snacks for the second part."
"Sorry, Alex!" Sam cries out, as Ben smiles as he steps away and transforms into Upgrade. The alien then merges with the N64 as Sam notices. Just then, Sam's life count was dropped to near nothing as her ammo was all gone while Juno had been given full health and maxed out ammo as he had blasted Velia, giving Upgrade the win. Sam was fuming in anger as she glared at him. "Benjamin Daniel Tennyson, that is so cheating! You are going to get it!" Sam hisses as she starts shaking the console in her anger
Suddenly, without warning, a massive bolt of lightning struck the satellite dish as a power surge went through the wires and hit Ben's room, frying the game console with Upgrade as a massive flash of light occurred, dying down to reveal Sam and Upgrade was gone as the console was normal as the controllers were left on the bed while the N64 has some sparks emitting from it that spread to the nearby Wii console as well, making electricity dance between the 2.
Alex and Clover were on the couch as they noticed no noise as they both smiled. "Finally! Guess they settled their differences." "Totally! And now, nothing but peace." Clover agrees as she eats some popcorn, unaware that Ben's TV screen is glowing.
Intro:
The screen is black, only for a bolt of green lightning to make a flash of white light as upbeat music is heard.
Ben stands as he is smirking at the camera as a black with green bubbles background is behind the tween, making the boy raise both his arms and show off his new Omnitrix and then slap down with a grin, making a flash of light.
"BEN 10!"
"He's a kid and he wants to have fun!"
Upgrade with hands on hips appears as a close-up of his face shows up in the background as a bolt of lightning comes down.
Big Chill flies across and freezes as the same thing happens to Swampfire, leaping out of an explosion.
"But when you need a superhero, he gets the job done!"
"BEN 10!"
Shock Rock smashes his fists together, sending out waves of electricity that affect the 4th wall.
"With A device that he wears on his arm."
"He can change his shape and save the world from harm!"
Ben poses with his Omnitrix, just as headshots of Shock Rock, Water Hazard, Big Chill, and Crashhopper show up, one-by-one.
Rath was staring at Grey Matter, who hopped along a bunch of platforms with the watch symbol on it the tiger alien was confused before it turned into rage as he held his head in anger.
"When trouble's taking place."
Ben was then running towards the screen.
"He gets right in its face!"
"BEN 10!"
Humungousaur, Slapback, Fasttrack and Gravattack's headshots show up as well!
A green circuit board background is shown as 6 aliens show up in a row Ben is staring at the 4th wall as his right side is shown. The aliens are Shock Rock, Fasttrack, Rath, Swampfire, Gravattack, and 4 Slapbacks.
"When lives are on the line."
The same thing happens with his left side as more aliens appear. The aliens are now: Big Chill, Water Hazard, Grey Matter, Humungousaur, Crashhopper, and Upgrade.
"It's hero time!"

It ends with Ben and Alex, standing side to side with crossed arms and smirks as well as Normie and Madison on Ben's side and Sam and Clover on Alex's side the title appears above.
As Upgrade shakes his head off any dizziness, he glances around to see he is in a large dark hallway with the only source of light coming from the torches that line up along the walls. The alien is not sure what to make of his environment or how he got here. Suddenly, a rainbow disc shows up and materializes an outline of a teen, followed by 2 more, filling in the outline as Sam shows up!
Only she is decked out in futuristic battle armor! The armor is slightly heavy-set yet form-fitting to the girl's body. It is colored grey and black with red LED lights that are rectangle-shaped on her shoulder straps that connect to her breastplate, which looks somewhat like a bra that covers her chest. The LED lights are also on her gauntlets and side thighs are in the shape of 2 small diagonal lines. The gauntlets have pointed ends at the end parts that protect her elbows. Her knee guards, which are part of her shins and calves' armor, have 2 small tilted square LED lights on the sides. The suit also has what looks like an armored girdle with 6 abs that covers her torso/stomach area. She is wearing a black undersuit with 2 yellow vertical stripes on her shoulder pads that go across from front to back with a black stripe in between the 2 stripes, and her fingers are covered in leather as well as the knuckles and a small hand guard on the back with a LED light on it. Lastly, she has her friends' flower symbol on her left pad's top part and her last name on her right pad top pad, in green metal letters, and a belt with a few poaches on the back that goes into a 'v' with some LED lights on the front. She also has 2 holsters on her hips with a laser pistol the same colors as her suit on the right. The holsters have the same LED lights on the front of them. Lastlyly has a slightly big green heart on the breastplate center and a single sliver bolt on her shoulder pads, triceps, inner forearm, and below her thigh LED lights, and the 2 silver bolts to hold the armored tongue of her boots, that are slightly heeled. [Think of Sgt. Calhoun's armor from Wreck-It Ralph. but with some differences. There's an image of the armor on Julienton on Deviantart, but there are some details that are different than what the description above said.]
"Whoa…... Where are we? What happened?" As Sam checks herself and gazes around, her memory kicks back in! "That lightning bolt must have zapped Upgrade and we both wound up in the video game!" She exclaims as she notices Upgrade is now a more armored and mechanized version of himself and now has 5 fingers. "Whoa! Upgrade just got buffed up!" The alien exclaims as he checks himself out. [Think of the Retaliator Armor from Ben 10: Destroy all Aliens but in Upgrade's colors.
"Wait! We're inside Jet Force Gemini?! AWESOME!" Just then, they heard a noise as they glanced to the sides to see some doors opening and a bunch of menacing shadows could be seen. "Not for long!" Sam exclaims as the beings all step out into the light to reveal humanoid, blue ant-like aliens with 2-toed feet, 3 claws on 4 arms, and welding a laser blaster. "Foot soldiers? That is so level 1." Upgrade scoffs out.
A larger, purple beetle version with 2 large pinchers for hands charges at them, ramming Upgrade, who quickly took it over, making him bigger and stronger as it now has 6 beefy arms. The Upgraded enemy took out the others with relative ease, ramming into a group as bugs were sent flying. Upgrade separates and sees his arms have turned into Gatling guns, making him open fire as he laser blasts all the bugs. "Sweet!" He exclaims as his feet emit rocket flames and fly up, hovering as he keeps blowing up alien bugs.
Sam was startled by lasers passing her. She glanced back to see some bugs firing at her. A couple hits her shoulders, causing her to cry out in pain as she checks and is surprised to see no injury. A couple of drones charged at her, but she frowned as she backflipped over them and the lasers, using her combat skills to beat up the alien bugs. She even grabs one by its legs and tosses it into others, knocking them down. She then notices her laser pistol and takes it out, making the weapon charge up as she turns back and fires, hitting a few bugs in the head as green goo flies out.
Upgrade lands and punches one bug to the ground as he kicks another one away as he gazes around. "This isn't a challenge! It's a slaughter fest!" "Oh, sure! It's tough when you can not only control the entire game as Upgrade but also have him turned into a walking weaponized mech!" Sam frowned as Upgrade poked her collar in teasing. "Jealous, much?"
He grabs one enemy and shouts out. "Sayonara, suckers!" He converts the enemy into a laser cannon and blasts all the bugs into goo, finishing them off as they disappear as a large door at the end opens, revealing light. "Oh, yeah! You've been exterminated! And I managed to open the door out! Ben's the best! Forget the rest!" "Okay! Here's an idea: Since you can control this entire game, maybe try to get us out before—" FLASH "That happens." Sam mumbles out in annoyance.
"Oops." Ben was also clad in the same type of armor as his friend, but it was bulkier and more male-built. The red LED lights are now green as shouldered lights are the same shape as Sam's. His necklace and cap are gone, revealing his hair. It has square, bulky, slightly oversized shoulder pads with stickers on the front of each one and green circles at the base that connect the pads to the armpits. The left has a white 10 in an Omnitrix symbol, and the right has a WOOHP Logo on it. His gauntlets are a bit bulky as well having 2 lights in a rectangle outline that looks like a grill mouth on his inner and outsides of the gauntlets. His left gauntlet has the Omnitrix dial on the elbow end of it, just between the outlines and his gloves have square hand guards and similar metal pieces for his finger sections and thumbs, including a big one for the base of said thumb. His elbow pads extend upward a bit. His lower torso/stomach area is covered with a six-pack abb cover with connecting coverings for the side of his stomach area with the belt covering the lower set. The back of his collarbone has 2 small pistols that his shoulder straps go around it. His belt has no holster and is straight with 4 pouches on it, 2 on each side. On his right lower chest plate, his last name was in green as 'Tennyson' and has a slightly big Omnitrix light like Sam's heart in the middle of the chest plate. His bottom half is more armored than Sam's suit as he has no thigh lights. The ones on his knee guards are now shaped like small arrowheads outlining those points towards the knees as the knee guards are attached to his bulky shin and calves armor. He has armored tongues on his boots with small yellow diagonal lines on the fronts that are attached to big sliver bolts on the ankle sides. Both suits have small collars with a steel metal clip on top of the center of the chest plates with 5 small holes. [Same thing with Ralph's suit from Wreck-it-Ralph, but smaller and more fitting with no gut showing. Just like with Sam's armor, there's an image of the armor on Julienton on Deviantart, but just like Sam's armor, some details are different.]
As the boy glanced at himself, Sam cried out. "Great! Now what are we going to do?!" "Simple! We just hang around until the watch is recharged, not a problem!" Ben smiles as he twists the dial, only to notice the green color is now white as it is not working. "Okay… Maybe there is a problem?" "Where are all the aliens?" Ben kept trying to get the watch to work, but nothing. Even shaking it as he frowns. "Terrific! Now what do we do?!"
"Relax, Sam! I played this game like 5 times! So, chill out." Ben assures as he walks away with Sam following him out of the hall and into a huge area with a pyramid structure. The boy keeps walking while the teen just stands near the doorway with crossed arms. "Nothing can surprise me." Ben grinned out, only for something large to slam down on him and make a large dust cloud as Sam was knocked back. The girl gasps in horror at her crushed young friend. "BEN!"
Just then, the rainbow disc respawns Ben as he rubs his head. "Ohh… Respawning feels weird." As the kid rubs his head in discomfort, he notices the chest symbol glows as it displays a hologram of a digital three, which then changes into a '2' as it fades away with a sound effect. Sam glances at her heart to see it briefly display a 3. If they were in a video game that would mean these were their life counters! And according to them…. "We both have only 3 lives. I get the feeling that if we get blasted apart for a third time in a row, it's permanent!"
Just then, they saw the thing that squashed Ben before a huge, beefy cyborg bug droid the same size as Smacken with 2 large claws for arms and hands. "RUN!" Sam cries out as they quickly run away and the claw smashes the ground as the cyborg walks after them. They reach for another door, only to be surrounded by more foot droids!
Sam quickly spin kicks one and shoots a few more with her pistol and backflip kicks one in the chin as Ben dodges and elbows drops another, then punches one in the stomach and uppercuts it. He was then knocked away as Sam took care of a few more. They then quickly took cover being a pillar as the bugs fired with their blasters. "They're too many and they're out-gunning us! We need to find..." Ben then noticed a hi-tech box nearby. "A weapons chest!"
He quickly leaps towards it as Sam follows behind. The boy opens it as 2 icon tokens show up, floating in mid-air. "Hey! This one looks good!" Ben grabs the right token and in a flash of light, a weapon shows up! It is the same color of black and grey as his suit and looks like a squarish laser blaster that is big enough to be held in both hands and has an ammo drum underneath and red LED line lights on the sides, a caution stripe decal between the top and bottom LED lights and 3 diagonal lines at the back-end sides. "Sweet!" [Ralph's gun from the Hero's Duty scene of the movie.]
He yells out as he starts running and firing away lasers in a machine gun fashion, taking down alien ants left and right as they screech in pain! Sam grabs her token as some sort of collapsed object appears, making her gaze in confusion. Ben notices his weapon has a grenade launcher function and uses it, blowing up more groups of enemies as he runs toward the pyramid, only for the cyborg giant to show up!
Just as it was about to smash Ben, a laser blast knocks it back and hurts it, making the boy glances back at Sam on a crate, who has a smoking rifle with the same color as his blaster and has a red targeting laser as well and one small arrow and 2 arrows heads glowing and pointing towards the barrel on the sides at the base area and the same caution stripes on the cocking handle and has 6 small yellow glowing diagonal lines on the bottom, near the front end that goes horizontally on. She fires a few more shots at the head, downing the cyborg as it disappears as the teen leaps off and lands near the boy, smirking at the kid hero. [Sgt. Calhoun's rifle from the movie.]
"Whoa… Where did you learn how to do that?" She holds the weapon by the muzzle and swings it like a club, knocking one bug back. "I read the instructions." Ben fires a few more grenades, taking down the last of them. "This game came with instructions?"
Sam then noticed an open doorway in the pyramid as she approached it. "Let's go inside! Maybe it can help us to figure out where to go next. Better be careful… Who knows what should be waiting inside? Sure, wish we had helmets." Just at Sam's words, hi-tech helmets, with the same colors as their suits and the same sliver bolts on the sides, form on their heads in flashes of light, much to their surprise as visors slide over their faces. Ben's is green with an Omnitrix symbol on the sides of the top, while Sam's is red and has her green heart symbol on the same spot Ben's decal is.
"Whoa! Instant helmets! That's handy!" Ben spoke out in amazement as a HUD showed up, displaying their health, items, body suits, map, and weapons status. "Whoa! A Hi-tech Heads-Up Display! Now we're talking!" Sam spoke out as well. "By the way, the pyramid... I knew that." Ben points out as Sam frowns and follows him in.
The duo went through a stone corridor and came to a stop at a chamber, seeing 4 Hexagon holes in the center in a triangle pattern with the 4th in the center, just for a stone platform/pillar to slowly raise out of the center one as the 2 leaps on it. They both stood as they looked around, waiting for the pillar to stop rising. They arrived at the upper floor of the pyramid in a chamber with a hallway behind it and a large open doorway in front that looked like it came from a temple.
"Okay, 'Mr. Game expert'. What now?" Sam asks, as suddenly, hovering robot drones show up from above and blast lasers as the 2 humans leap backward. "Keep moving and stay alive! Duh!" They opened fire on a few and blasted them out of the sky and ran towards the doorway as the robots followed. Ben turned back and shot at a couple of lasers, running with Sam, going down the hallway.
They came to a stop at a large open arena, that had a bunch of floating platforms all around it. They quickly leap towards one and then another, turning back to shoot at the robots as they take down 10 more. They start to run and leap from platform to platform, dodging laser fire as well. Ben and Sam then stop at a ledge, gazing down to see weapons chest on a lower platform.
Ben glances to see that Sam can handle the robots as he leaps down below, landing and slamming his hand on the chest as it displays another token, only for it to be an Omnitrix-looking one with a familiar icon on it. "Hey! That looks like Gravattack! I wonder…" He leaps up as it disappears in a flash of light, making him place his gun down as he activates the Omnitrix and slaps his hand down. FLASH
"Oh yeah! Now we're talking!" Gravattack grins out as he is glad to have his powers back. "Time to slam some bots, gravity style!" He holds his hands as they glow green on the large group of robots and slams them down on the ground as they explode. "Nice! If this game had a scoring system, then that's got to be worth like 100,000 points easy!" Just then, a trio of figures lands near him as he turns to them, only to gasp in awe! "Jet Force Gemini, themselves!" "How do you know us?" The male asks.
The 2 humans of the trio are 16-year-old twins who are Caucasian and have blue eyes, and blue hair. The boy has a blue helmet with some bits of his blue hair showing, white chest armor with blue trims, grey gloves, black and blue armor, a yellow belt with a strange symbol on the buckle, and black boots. The girl has her hair in mid-length pigtails with bangs and red lipstick. She is wearing a blue undershirt under a grey vest, a yellow belt with her symbol, a blue and white striped skirt that goes to her knees, grey gloves, and grey boots.
The last of the trio is a yellow/gold dog that is the size of a German Sheppard with green eyes but has metal bands at the bottom of his strange ears and has a short tail exposed as well as its head and neck while the rest of's body is covered in blue and grey, advanced armor and has mechanical hand–like paws that can extend claws at will. And last, it has a weapon gyro system on its back.
Even though Gravattack noticed they look more detailed, different, and realistic than outside the screen, the alien hero recognizes the heroes of the game! "I'm a big fan! I know about you guys and your back story! You 2 are twins who were born in a space colony with parents who act like traders! Then you both wanted to fight for peace and justice when your parents were destroyed by space pirates! You both joined the Jet Force Command along with your faithful dog Lupus and-" "Enough!" Vela cries out as she frowns at the alien. "Are you or are you not a shapeshifter?" "Umm... Yeah. I guess?" Gravattack blinks out at the question.
"Then... You must be a new weapon sent by Mizar to destroy us! Well, not today! Lupus, sic him!" On Junos' command, the armored dog growls as he flashes his fangs and leaps up and tackles Gravattack, making the alien stumble back and trip on some scrap, sending him falling as Lupus jumps off, pushing him off the platform! "NO! WAIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTT!" He cries out as he plummets to his doom!
Luckily, Gravattack lands on another platform, only to gasp up in shock as Lupus lands above, growling as he fires missiles as the alien redirects them to another platform. "Wait! I don't want to fight you 3! Honest!" "Like we're stupid enough to fall for that trick, Mizar lackey!" Vela snarls out as she uses her Tri-Rocket Launcher as Gravattack uses another platform for a shield, converting into planet mode to float away as he lands on another platform Jet Force Gemini lands across him as he cries out. "No! I'm not one of Mizar's monsters! I'm Ben! I'm a hero, just like you guys!" "Likely story." Juno scoffs out.
They opened fire with their weapons as Gravattack tore off the floor to shield himself. He then sends out a gravity push that forces the team back. "No really! I saved the world like every other week! I fought all sorts of villains and monsters and aliens! I rescued millions of innocent lives! I even get cats out of trees!" "Wow! You must be desperate to make up those lies." Vela notes out as she aims her weapon above and fires, making the rockets blow up a platform above and sending the remains tumbling down onto Gravattack, who notices and quickly a gravity shield to stop them, all while Sam watches from another platform. "Gravattack?"
Just then, she noticed more robots showed up. She quickly leaped onto another platform and blasted them, moving as she kept shooting as well. This attracted the attention of Jet Force Gemini as they turned and saw Sam, blasting down robots left and right while leaping on top of them as well. "Wow! Look at that woman go!" Juno smiled as Vela smirked out. "Who is that super soldier? I like her style!" Gravattack recovered and noticed as he spoke out with a sour tone and look. "That's no super soldier! That's just my know-it-all friend!"
Sam quickly lands and points her rifle at Team Gemini. "Back off! He's with me!" She calls out as the alien frowns with crossed arms. "Hey! I can handle myself, thank you very much!" "Wait! You know this thing?" Vela asks as Lupus tilts his head with a confused sound. "Yes... Much to my dismay." Sam answers as the alien snarls at the jab as she puts her weapon on her back and introduces herself. "I'm Sam."
"Captain Juno of Jet Force Gemini! At your service!" Juno salutes as he introduces his team. "This is my twin sister, Vela, and our pet/war dog, Lupus." "I have to say, Sam, Elly know your stuff out there." Vela smiles out, just for more floating robots to show up as Gravattack smirks out and yells out. "That's nothing! Let me show you a real champion in action!" He then charges at the flying enemies.
He then slams some of them into some other platforms and forms into Planet mode, ramming through the bots like tin cans. As he lands on 2 robots, he uses his gravity powers to smash the other robots together and even increase gravity to crush them into bits. "COWABUNGA!" The alien cries out as he rides the 2 bots like a surfboard. "Surf's up, dudes!" But just then, the Omnitrix times out as the alien is changed back to Ben, who is hanging onto one of the robots as he blinks out. "Okay! Should have seen that one coming!"
Ben starts screaming as the robot flies wild and crazy, trying to throw the kid off as Sam chases after, leaping from platform to platform as she calls out. "BEN! HANG ON!" "I've got to read those instructions." Ben groaned as Juno came to the rescue by drawing his pistol out and taking aim, firing a shot that nailed the robot but sent Ben flying off. The boy screamed and grabbed onto the edge of another platform, struggling to pull himself up as Sam came and helped him up. Just then, Jet Force Gemini appears and sm out. "Those are some impressive moves." Vela comments as Ben smirks as he and Sam lift their visors. "Thanks! Coming from you-" "Not you, cadet! We were talking to Captain Sam." Juno gestures as Ben is dismayed that Sam is getting phrased by his video game heroes! Unbelievable! "Oh, man!"
"Thanks." Sam smiles as she quickly pulls the kid away and whispers. "Okay! Now that we had our death-defying fun for the day, how about going Upgrade and zapping us out?!" "I can't even if I want to! Only Gravattack's icon was in that chest! Upgrade could be anywhere, hidden in any of the 100 levels on the other planets!" "'100 Levels?' 'Planets?!' That's going to take weeks of searching!" Sam groans out in dismay.
But just then, they suddenly felt shaking as they glanced around. "What's going on?!" Vela cries out Lupus hears something and looks back and barks, making the other look to the platforms and breaking apart and falling! "RUN!" Juno cries out as they rush as fast as they can toward the entrance/exit of the area.
They managed to land by the doorway as they kept running, as they felt the pyramid shaking as well. "Why is the pyramid shaking?!" Sam asks as Ben exclaims. "Don't look at me! I never experienced this in the game before!" "The pyramid must be taking off for space!" Juno cries out as they run down a hallway. "Wait! 'Take off?!' Are you saying that this pyramid is a spaceship?!" Sam exclaims as they turn a corner.
But just then, Juno, Lupus, and Vela stop as Jet Force Gemini quickly ducks into a small, hidden corridor and pulls Ben and Sam into it. "Hey!" Ben was interrupted as Juno and Vela covered both their mouths and shushed them. "Quiet!" Juno whispers as the 5 peeks out and sees a 30-foot-tall being, working at a set of computer controls. "Is that..." Vela whispers as the being turns around, revealing the main villain of the game!
The being is a bug-like alien that has a humanoid-like top half while his bottom half has 6 large spider-like legs. The torso that connects the 2 halves is entirely robotic as he has a backpack device with bug wings and his right robot arm, giving him a cyborg appearance. His red-isk eyes narrow the screens before him as his left arm is organic and has 3 claws that are typing at the buttons. His cheeks are mandibles as he has a human-like mouth with sharp teeth. "Mizar!" Ben whispers out as Lupus growls at the tyrant as Sam blinks out. "Whoa... That's a big bug!"
"Computer! Set a course for this new wormhole! I may not know how this came to be. But if it can transport me into a new world, one where those meddling humans haven't been, then surely I can find something there that can turn the tide in my favor!" Mizar snarls as he starts stomping away as the others hide and the tyrant speaks out. "That Jet Force Gemini... I knew I should have disposed of them along with the others, myself! No matter... Once I manage to correct this annoyance, I can finally conquer their beloved homeworld once and for all!"
As soon as the tyrant left, the group of 5 left their hiding spot as Juno whispered out. "Not on our watch, Mizar." "Man! That guy feels like Vilgax's long-lost cousin for some reason." Ben comments as Sam goes over to the computer as the shaking stopped a while ago. "Hmmm... Let's see what 'Mr. Friendly' is up to." The teen girl spoke as she started typing on the keyboard. As the others approached, Sam managed to get the results as she spoke out. "It looks like Mizar used a newly discovered wormhole to warp us to another part of the Galaxy! That shaking from before, was us traveling through space and time, via the wormhole. According to the navigation system, we are now orbing a planet called 'Saurian' on the outskirts of the 'Lylat System', whatever that is."
"'Lylat System'? I don't believe I've heard of it." Vela spoke out. "Hmm... But according to these readings, there are some strange energy readings on the planet we are above and Mizar is heading towards it, right now!" Juno adds as Ben ponders to himself. "Hmm... Lylat System... Why does that name sound familiar?" Sam then calls out. "Well then, let's go down and find out!"
They all rushed down the same hallway Mizar went, running as fast as their legs could carry. After a bit, they managed to find themselves in a hanger bay Ben stopped and pants for a bit as he placed his hands on his legs, tired from all that running. As the Omnitrix welder breathes, he glances around and then spots something of interest as he goes up towards it.
As the others stopped, Sam spoke out. "Okay! We need to find a ship, any ship!" "Problem with that, Captain Sam: There are no ships! All of Mizar's troops must have taken them before we got here!" Juno gestures to the emptiness of the bay. But just then, Lupaus picks up a scent with his nose and starts sniffing around, getting the other 3's attention as Vela pets the war dog. "What is it, boy? Did you find something?' The dog barks as he runs off and the others follow.
Lupas rounds a few barrels and barks joyfully at what he found. "Hey!" Ben calls out, which gets the other's attention as they show up. "I think I found the answer to our problem!" Ben smiles as he gestures to the ship next to him. It is a large, silver, and red ship that is very familiar with jet Force Gemini. "Our Flagship! I don't believe it!" Vela smiled as they approached the ship. "I thought it was destroyed by Mizar's troops when we abandoned it in Goldwood's orbit?" "I guess Mizar must have captured it and planned something sinister with it." Juno ponders out. He then pets Lupus with a smile as the dog barks in response. "Good boy, Lupus!"
"What?!" Ben exclaims as Team Gemini quickly boards their ship as the boy speaks. "But! I was the one who... Found it." Sam feels bad and pats the boy on his armored back. "I think you did a good job, finding it, Ben. I'm sure they will appreciate you, just give it time!" "I guess..." Ben mumbles out as the 2 step on the ship as well. The 2 make their way to the bridge Juno sits in the captain's chair Vela operates some computers on one side and Sam decides to man the other computers on the other side Lupas stations himself in front of the windshield of the bridge pants.
"Looks like all systems are operational and repaired as well. I guess for once, the bugs helped us out, huh?" Vela smirked as Juno spoke back. "Well, just be cautious then! We shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Be ready to abandon ship at the 1st sight of something wrong!" "Roger, that!" Sam responds as Ben quickly goes towards the computer at the front of the system with a grin. "Yeah! Let's do this!" "Cadet... What are you doing?" Juno asks with crossed arms as Ben answers. "Getting ready to fly the ship, why?"
Vela states as she moves Ben to a corner of the room. "We got a better idea: How about you sit in this spot and let the real space heroes fly the ship, okay?" "You've got to be kidding me!" Ben groans out at being benched! "All right, all systems are go! Fusion engines online! Hyper-drive system in the green! Shields at maximum strength! Weapons, locked and loaded! Hit it, sis!" "You got it, brother!" Vela smirked back as the ship's thrusters roared to life and blasted out the hanger.
"WAAAAAA-OOOHHHH! This is awesome!" Sam grins out as the ship blasted into space and Ben smiles. "Well, at least something cool comes from all of this." "Ahhh... It's been a while since we're back on the Siegfried. Vela, how's things doing?" "Looks good, so far." She answers her twin brother as she types on the computer, only for Sam to get an alert as she checks on it and her eyes widen in surprise at what she is seeing! "Whoa! You've got to check this out!"
She managed to figure out a way to display it on a screen up front as all eyes were on a display of a planet, only it had chunks of it torn from the surface and floating around the planet like moons! "My goodness!" Vela gasps out as Juno breathes out. "What happened to that planet?!" "Okay! That is not normal!" Ben blinks out as Sam explains. "It looks like chunks of the planet have been torn from the surface. And at the rate it continues, it will not only explode but could cause disaster effects to the sector! But I am picking up a powerful energy signal from one of the nearby pieces. Maybe we can investigate it for clues?"
"Good idea, Sam! Everyone, strap yourselves in!" Juno orders as he sits in his chair and pushes some buttons, making seats pop out of the floor and walls as everyone, even Lupas, buckled up 2 control sticks pop out of the captain's chair as Juno smirks out. "It's going to be a bumpy ride!" "Oh, boy... Better brace yourselves." Vela warns as Sam groans out. "Why do I have the feeling I'm not going to like this?"
Juno smirks and pushes the controls forward, making the ship blast off towards greater speeds as it weaves its way through asteroids and space junk as Ben grins out from the ride. "WAAAHHHH-OOOHHHHHH! This is great, huh, Sam?!" "Not really!" Sam exclaims as she holds onto her seat she feels the g-forces and gets scared a few times with a few close calls. "Well, at least my brother has the targeting system on." Vela points out, only for the rest to notice said system is shut off as Vela has a freaked-out look. "JUNO?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US KILLED?!"
"Relax, sister of mine! And now for the final touch..." He then pulls the ship, driving out of the asteroids, and then flips backward, heading towards the landmass with ease and hovering above a suitable landing spot, bringing the ship down as the engines power down and all the buckles are undone. "And that's how you land a starship!" Juno smirks as he dusts his hands off and Lupus barks in excitement as Ben glees out. "That was so awesome! Dude, you have got to teach me some of those tricks!" But the girls, on the other hand, stood frozen in shock.
As soon as they recover, Vela frowns at her twin. "Juno! One of these days, your crazy flying is going to get us killed!" "Relax, sis! We made it, no problem. Right, Sam?" Said the teen girl, who just slowly walked out of her seat and grabbed the railing, slightly shaking. "Don't worry. The hyper-drive disorientation will wear off in a bit and you'll build a resistance to it. Come on, everyone! Let's go exploring!" As the others leave, Sam slowly recovers as she mumbles to herself. "When I get back, I am never playing one of Ben's video games, ever again!"
Nonetheless, the teen girl recovered and followed as the group of 5 now stood before the hatch door they got their weapons ready. "Be careful! Who knows what could be lurking outside." Juno warned as he reached over and pushed a button making the hatch slowly drop as the 4 humans and wardog steel themselves. The ramp hits the ground as they run out and stop, looking around as they aim their guns all over the place.
They all see that they are in some sort of ancient city that is surrounded all over by large, rock walls. The buildings look Aztec like as do some temples around the main pyramid. "Wow... Look at this place." Sam breathes out as she walks forward and looks around, in awe at the city as the others follow as well. But as Ben looks around, he can't help but find this place familiar, yet doesn't recall this level being in the game. "Why does this place look familiar?"
Just as they cross a wooden bridge, Sam smiles back at the rest. "Well, looks like this place isn't so bad." But suddenly something chomps down on her as Vela gasped out. "SAM!" Juno cries out as the rest are surprised at the sight of a hulking T-Rex, devouring their friend in one bite. Just then, Sam respawns next to Ben as she shivers out. "Okay! Major gross! I can't believe I was lunch!" Her life counter beeps as it changes from '3' to '2' as Sam notices.
"All right, lizard brain! Chew on this!" Juno frowns as he and his family open fires on the prehistoric beast it roars and charges at them, only to fall victim to the dozens of lasers and rockets that pelt it, destroying it as it vanishes into a flash of light. "Glad that's over," Vela mumbles as she notices an open pathway that leads underground. "Quick! Down there! We'll be safe!" The 5 quickly rushed downwards as they arrived at a small chamber.
But as they went in, they were surprised at the sight of another, living, breathing dinosaur before them! "My word..." Vela breathes out as Lupus makes a confused sound while he tilts his head as Sam speaks out with wide, pink-prick eyes. "No way! A real, live dinosaur?!" The said dinosaur looks like a Styracosaurus and wears jewels and fancy garments. "So, cool!" Ben grins out at the living prehistoric creature as Juno stands in shock and quickly collects himself, putting his gun away as he speaks to it with his hands up. "We come in peace, and we mean no harm." But the dinosaur responds in an unknown language as the humans and dog are confused.
"Uhh... Sorry. We don't speak... Whatever alien dinosaurs say." Ben responds as just then, a display on his visor appears, saying 'Translating Saurian'. "I said, who are you? You don't look like Fox McCloud." The dinosaur, now speaking in English with a male voice, repeats as Ben is in awe at his helmet's new feature. "Whoa! This helmet can translate alien languages?! Man! This suit rocks! I wonder if I can keep this after this adventure?" "Wait! What did you say?" Sam asks in confusion as Team Gemini is confused as well. "Fox Mcwho?"
"DAD! DAD!" Suddenly, a small, orange, and purple triceratops sprint by the 5 and cuddles with the bigger dinosaur as the older one chuckles. "Tricky, my son! You don't have to worry about me. I am the king! HAHAHA!" "Hey! Who are you?!" The group of 5 whirls back to see a humanoid fox that is male and is about 23 years old and has orange-brown fur with a cream tone mixed in. He is as tall as Sam and has green eyes, and his tail is a bit fuzzy, and has a hairstyle like a crew cut. He is wearing white fingerless gloves, a hi-tech computer on his gauntlets, and is wearing a sleeveless green flight suit with a red ascot, grey and steel combat boots with a white vest over all of it, and a backpack with supplies.
The fox draws out a gold and blue metal staff and extends, getting into a combat position as Sam holds her hands out. "Whoa! Whoa! Easy! We come in peace! We mean no harm." "No way! Fox McCloud!" Ben cried out in amazement as he ran and shook his hand, much to the tod's surprise. "I'm a big fan of your games! I played the 1st one, which is the SNES version, which by the way is-" "BEN!" Sam drags the kid back as she scolds him. "How about not running up to the humanoid fox person wielding a dangerous weapon?!" "Sorry..." Ben mumbles out. "It's okay... Didn't expect him to act like that. I'm Fox McCloud, Lead Pilot of the Starfox team!" The humanoid vulpine introduces himself as he stores his staff. "I'm Sam. And this is Ben." The teen girl introduces herself as Ben gives a grin and waves.
Juno then walks up and presents himself in front of Fox, holding a hand towards him. "Fox, is it? I'm Juno: Leader of Jet Force Gemini. This is my twin sister, Vela, and our war dog, Lupus. It's a pleasure to meet you." Fox smiles as he recognizes a military man when he sees one as Lupas howls as Vela salutes and shakes his hand as well. "Pleasure to meet you, Juno. I'm Fox McCloud: Lead pilot of the Starfox Team."
"A pleasure to meet you all. And before you ask, no! I don't have the Spellstone. But I do know where you can find it. To enter the air of the RedEye King, you must first find the 2 sacred teeth. Not an easy task, as they are protected by the Lifeforce of the RedEye Tribe, those monsters you all saw lurking outside. Locate the Magic Cave. The answer lies within." "Just like the game. Go figure." Ben comments as the King overhears it. "Game? This is serious, my boy! The fate of Dinosaur Planet hangs in the balance!" "And with Mizar now running around, there's no doubt he's planning to enslave this planet like he did to others." Juno points out with a frown and crossed arms. "I know! I know... I read the Wikipedia Entries and the back of the box." Ben replies with a smile as Sam notices the behavior of the others. "Wiki-what?" "'Back of the box?' What box?"
Ben is about to answer when Sam grabs him by his armor and shoves him away. "Don't you get it, Ben?" She narrows her eyes as she whispers as they both lift their visors. "These guys don't know they're just programs in a video game. They think this is all real!" "Really? Then, can't we just tell them about the games?" "No! The truth will send them into total shock. It's best to play along until we find a way out of this game, that's not Jet Force Gemini, since none of this was ever in it." "I know that! We're in Starfox Adventures! A different game. But maybe you make a good point."
"We appreciate the help, Your Highness. But I think me, and my team are well equipped." Vela reassures as the king nods. "Okay... Tricky, I want you to stay behind and keep your father company, while we deal with the RedEyes, okay?" "You got it, Fox!" The prince nods out as Juno knees down and pets Lupus. "Lupus, I want you to stay behind as well and guard the king and prince! With Mizar on the loose, there's no telling if he's planning to go after the rulers of this world. Understand, boy?" Lupus barks as he stands by the prince and king and growls, ready for anything as Vela pets him with a smile. "Good boy."
And so, the 4 humans and Fox exit the chamber as they all split up! While Juno and Vela explore the area with Fox, Sam and Ben will handle the RedEyes, due to their powerful weapons. Ben managed to spot one, walking around a bridge that led to a sun-based small temple area. "Okay... Here goes." Ben preps himself, as he draws his gun out and charges, firing lasers. "HEY! SCALES FOR BRAINS! EAT HOT LASER!" Ben bellows as the RedEye is getting pelted and cries out in pain. Powering through the laser bullets, the beast snarls as it tries to snap its teeth at Ben, who rolls out of the way and fires a few grenades that nail the T-Rex, making cry out in agony as it falls in defeat, but just then, as Ben runs towards the giant enemy, he was whacked away but it's tail as the monster vanished in a flash of light.
"AAAHHHHHHH!" The boy screams as he goes sailing into the red small temple area and crashes with a thud, lying on his back as he groans in pain and sees on his HUD, that half of his health bar is gone and turned yellow. "Ohhh... My head feels like Vilgax used it for a punching bag." Ben moans as he shakily stands up and rubs his helmet-covered head, spotting his discarded gun and picking it up as he glances around, finding himself in a square part with a punch of magical floating boxes with sun symbols on them. "Where am I?"
Just then, he noticed an incoming transmission coming from his visor as it displayed a small window with Sam on it. "Ben? Are you there?" "Yeah! I'm here! I managed to destroy one of the RedEyes, but it knocked me into one of those small temples on the side of the main pyramid." "Same thing with me. It looks like we're in a Video Game puzzle area. And I think I know what we must do. Do you see floating blocks with a symbol on them?" "Yeah, why?" Ben asks as Sam responds. "You need to push the blocks to match up with a bunch of floating symbols. I think that's how we'll get the doors open. I'll contact the others and inform them." "Got it!"
As the transmission ends, Ben puts his gun on his back and gets to work, pushing blocks around, thanks to his suit's enhanced strength. Although it took him a few times to get it right, he managed to solve the puzzle, only for a door that led to a smaller pyramid to open instead. "Hmm... Maybe the real exit's through there?" Ben mumbles in confusion as he goes to explore it, only to be briefly surprised when he steps on the front panel it lifts him like an elevator. As Ben looks around and moves forward, he looks through a hole, only to be briefly blinded as he cries out and rubs his eyes from a beam of light.
"Okay! I'm starting to get the message: Video Games are bad for your eyes!" Just then, he felt a brief rumble. "What was that?" He took the lift back down and saw the entrance to the pyramid was open!' He carefully descends as he takes care of a small puzzle of 3 blocks and puts them in the correct order. A door then opens as Ben goes in and sees he has arrived at a maze of some sort. "Aw, man! A maze?!" Ben groans out, only to perk up as he spots another weapon chest and quickly touches it, opening it as it displays another Omnitrix Token with Rath's icon on it. "Sweet! Rath will come in handy for a fight!" He leaps up and grabs it, making it absorb into the dial.
Back with Sam at her temple, she spots a chest too and opens it, only to find Big Chill's token. "Hey... That's Big Chill!" She grabbed it, only for it to turn into a bolt of green lighting, and went zapping out of the moon temple and flew across to the sun temple into Ben's watch as he noticed with a grin, twisting the dial to Big Chill. FLASH
"All right! Now we're talking!" Big Chill grins out at his body. He unfolds his wings and flies above the maze, getting to the closed door as he phases through. "Sweet! My powers are the ultimate cheat codes!" He phases through another door to see a large spinning wheel over an abyss. Big Chill then notices a small, golden sun-shaped stone in the middle as he flies over and removes it. "Hm... Maybe this is a key item for later in the game. Then again, I never got past Dragon Rock." He decides to keep it as he flies upward, phasing through the ceiling and appearing above ground as he flies and heads towards the central temple, landing near the tunnel as he times out. He then saw Fox and Sam heading towards him as well.
"I've got the teeth! Juno and Vela are almost done exploring and will meet up with us" "And look what I found." She pulls out a golden stone with a blue crescent moon on it. "Found this in that blue temple structure. Thought the king could know something about this." "Huh? I got one too!" Ben spoke out as he held out his sunstone as well, making Fox ponder. "Maybe the king might know something about them?
They managed to meet back up with the King Earthwalker as he noticed the items. "Well done! You've managed to gather the sacred teeth! And are those the sacred Sun and Moon stones?" "Yeah... They managed to find them, and we were wondering what they were?" Fox explains as he gestures to the teen girl and kid. "Fox. These stones are the key to a hidden Krazoa Shrine on top of the temple. I didn't mention it before because the RedEye and the Spellstone were a higher concern, but with the help of your new friends, it may be possible to collect 2 items in one. As you know, only the pure of heart can enter the Shrines. But it may be possible that Juno or Vela might be pure of heart. Sam, I want you to find Juno and Vela and inform them, while Fox and Ben retrieve the Spellstone." Fox crosses his arms in thought at what the king said as he glances back at the 2, armor-clad humans. "I don't know..."
Ben smirks out as he replies. "Don't worry! I'm sure we'll both get that Spellstone! We can make an awesome team!" He then leans the teen to whisper at her. "And trust me, Sam. I played this boss and knew how to beat him." Sam gazes at the kid and back at the others and realizes that Ben's knowledge of the game is going to help them get back out. "Okay! Just be careful." She smiles out to the others. "Trust me, Fox! Ben has a few tricks up his sleeves."
"...Okay! But you better not do anything reckless!" Fox then places the teeth in the statues by the gate, making them raise as it lowers the ramp. It was then the human's turn as Sam and Ben placed their stones in their respective slots, making them raise even further. "Good luck to you 2! The King RedEye is a formidable foe." The King Earthwalker spoke out as Ben smirked back at Sam and the 2 Earthwalkers and Lupas. "I don't need luck. I'm Ben 10!" The boy grins out in a cocky mood, ready to take on anything in his endless bravado as he and Fox ran down the tunnel. Lupus whimpers a bit as Sam smiles and pets the war dog. "Don't worry, Lupus. I trust Ben will be okay."
As the human and Tod kept running, passing by wall markings of T-Rex's skulls, they reached a large hallway that goes in 2 directions they stopped and looked around, only for a giant stone slab dropped down from the ceiling, cutting them out from the exit. They gave a startled cry as the force of the giant stone door hitting the floor knocked him off their feet. As they both groaned out, they got back up, only for a roar to ring through the dungeon as they both got wide-eye surprised looks as rumbling was heard. "What was that?!" Fox cries out as Ben glances around, just to spot a huge RedEye with green scales and fiery stripes.
The hall was about thirty feet high, and this thing had to duck its head to prevent it from scraping the ceiling. Horns grew along its eyebrow ridges and in the center of its enormous head was something red and shiny. Fox is very surprised as Ben is not worried, having faced this boss before in the real world. "Relax, Fox! I got this!" Ben notices his watch is recharged he grins out as he pushes the button and rotates the dial, just as the monster roars and comes charging at them, intending to devour them whole. "How do you stop a Dinosaur from charging?" FLASH
"Use Gravattack!" Gravattack grins out as Fox is surprised by the transformation as the alien holds out his hands as they generate his aura and slams them onto the ground, increasing the weight of the beast to make it so heavy, that it crashes with an impact that shakes the prison. "Fox! See if you can find some way to damage it while I keep it pinned!" The lead pilot recovers as he nods and looks around, spotting a gate he blasts the button above it with a fireball from his staff and spots a sliver barrel, quickly grabbing it and running out to throw it as hard as he can as the barrel explodes on impact, hurting the King RedEye as the monster roars in pain.
He saw the barrel regenerate and quickly did the same thing 2 more times. But just then, King RedEye dug into the deep of his strength reserves and stood up in a flash, unknowingly throwing Gravattack up as well as he cries, just as he times out to Ben as the boy screams. As the kid kept falling, he landed on something hard and scaly that broke his fall.
"What did I land on?" When he gazes down, he sees that he is near the Spellstone on the RedEye's head. The king turns his blood-hungry eyes up and sees the kid, waving and grins with a scared look, as the beast narrows his eyes in anger. "Uh... Hi?" King Redeye roars as he shakes his head, trying to throw Ben off as he clutches onto the Spellstone as tight as he can. The beauty charges down the hall as Fox quickly ducks into a hole in the wall to avoid getting crushed. "BEN!" Fox cries out as he watches the beast turn the corner while the boy hangs for life.
"I've got to think these things through..." He groans out as he keeps hanging onto the glowing stone for dear life! Fox kept running after King RedEye, only for him to stop on a glowing platform that was suddenly turning on machines on the walls, but he was startled when he turned back to see King Redeye was charging at him! But as Fox braces himself, the machine sends out volts of lighting that zaps the King RedEye, making it fall as the force of it makes Ben fly up as he cries out. Fox chucks the last explosive barrel, and it is enough to knock the beast out cold, slumping down. Fox breathes a sigh of relief as Ben slams down on the monster's head. "That was close..." "Speak for yourself." Ben moans out as he rubs his chest plate.
Fox then noticed the Spellstone as he quickly took out the staff and stabs it in between the stone and indent as the alien Tod tries to pry the stone out. He managed to pop it off as Fox went to collect it! Only to stop as he heard the monster breathing and quickly leap up and backward, Thanks to his instincts he avoided King RedEye, trying to eat him as he stabbed the staff in the indent in his forehead, making the beast freeze up.
The King RedEye then roars as it thrashes around, until it falls, truly dead. Ben and Fox got off as they both recovered. "Well... that's one way to take out a boss!" Ben spoke as he adjusted his helmet Fox nodded as he went and grabbed the Spellstone. "I must admit, Ben, you did pretty good back there." Fox smiles as Ben grins as he lifts his visor. "Wicked awesome!" Ben grins as they both bump fists.
The 2 made their way out of the dungeon and back outside and went to meet up with the others, as Juno now has purple eyes and the royal Earthwalkers. "And that's everything about my powers." Ben finishes explaining the Fox as he nods in response. "Wow... Alternate dimensions? And an alien watch that can turn you into every being in the Universe and have their powers? And I thought me, and my team faced some weird stuff." They approach the others as Fox shows the stone. "We've got the stone." "And one taken down King Redeye! Courtesy of yours truly." Ben smugly spoke out.
"Well done!" King Earthwalker spoke out with a smile. "I'm very impressed that you recovered the Spellstone and destroyed the King Redeye, Fox!" "Yeah! How did you take that thing down, huh?! Huh?!" Tricky grins out in wonder as Fox answers. "It was a team effort of me and Ben." Ben grins with a thumbs up as Sam pats his shoulder in congratulations. "Do not worry, my son.
